What do you think makes a VR profile perfect? What do you think makes it less than? Perhaps "perfect" is the wrong word. I mean, perfection is kind of an impossible goal since everything changes, especially ones own state of mind. The only thing I can honestly say that doesn't make the perfect profile is a hot mess of random images taken from others profiles. A profile should represent the Raver, not what cool images they can snatch from others. I mean, what is this, MySpace? What do you think?

There is no "perfect" profile. Everyone is going to make their own profile their own little space. Each will be unique to that person. Pictures that reflect who they are as well as tidbits about them

It's difficult to say...
As the one doing the grading it is impossible for you to know what the technical skill and code writing abilities the profile's builder has. So a profile could be aesthetically plain just because they lack the coding knowledge or general skills. Then again you can have a profile that looks fantastic but lacks any character.

In the end I guess it boils down to the effort they put into developing the profile. If it has more than three sentences and is well thought out it gets the better rating.

There isn't one. Just take a gander at the top there is no one that is a perfect 10. Because some one will come along and even if the profile was "perfect" would rate it a 9 just to have it not a 10.

The bottom line people rate what they want it doesn't matter what the profile looks like or what time is taken to get the end result.

Some will just hate it no matter what.

It really is relative to the person doing the judging but one can usually tell if someone puts work into it. It doesn't have to be fancy but show there was some thought to what they said about themselves. Something that shows interests and reveals the personality a bit. It doesn't have to be extremely personal. There are a lot of things that one can say that gives a general idea of what they are about.

To me, if I can see geniune effort was put in, I like it.

Sure I have my favorite profiles, but Ive never saw a "perfect" profile.

With that said....

Personally, and this is just me .....I like to see some content , effort put forth describing ones self, ( at least to some extent) .... without the need to swear. Oh , yes I DO read the ones I view. A profile with all pictures is a scroll down. Grammar is important, as well as legibility concerning a pages background and color font.

Most of the profiles that get rated high belong to chicks with barely anything on it and/or are flaunting their body.

I tend to rate people who've at least put an effort into their profiles. Now, I do agree their are people here just looking for the "VR hookup" but I'm not bothered by that. I look for graphics, music, and writings, especially poetry. Those profiles will attract a 10 from me everytime

Effort makes a great profile, but not one on here is perfect. Everyone on here has their opinions about what makes a profile worth a high rating or generally not worth the time to even rate. Now as for the women flaunting what bodies they have... or claim to have either they get rated low by me especially considering most of them have a ten-ton ego in tow that makes me say that their profiles are generally a waste of my time or think this is the sort of site they can go to for hook-ups... either way I tend to rate them as low as I can if I don't just hit the back button.

While a profile can have an overall good look to it, I'm more interested in what the person has to say, and how they say it.

For me, a profile must have a message. Graphic is not that important, but help. I said message, because a profile is the Mind, Soul and Heart of the writer, his/her own words to send the reader into a different dimension.

As the saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and profiles are created by what the designer choses as to what their liking is. So to each there own. It does go a long with with the effort that is put into creatinga profile. Some are better at CSS then others. But I have also seen some free profiles that were done up quite nice.

The perfect profile, I think that there is no perfect profile, because it is perfect for me maybe for you it's not perfect, each of us has a vision that he wants to look profile. What can I personally do not like the certain profiles, and that is when I see so many lies written about some super powers, some even turn into wolves OMFG, it's ok if you love wolves, but that you have made to the wolf, come on please.

The perfect profile from my point of view, is one that leaves me with astonishment. I like profiles with content, I like to read about the person. However graphics should be appriciated too, they are work of art after all.

However nowadays, rating profiles is the least thing I like to do, there's too much fuss and drama about it, even for a 9 rate.

Lots of quizzes and tons of additional pictures at the end - animie are the best. Extra credit if the Profile keeps loading before I get a chance to rate it! ;)

As long as there is nothing offensive in there and they have taken a bit of time to actually say something about themselves, they would get a ten from me. There can't be a perfect profile because people are too complex to accurately represent in one web page. If you can fit in everything about yourself in one page, you must be a pretty boring person. Loads and loads of graphics irritate me so I never look at them, unless they were actually created by the person. Fair enough then.

And there have been people using profiles as a means to promote their business. I ran across a profile where someone was actually advertising a gun and ammo shoppe. I couldn't believe it. One person was advertising a dating service. If I see something like that NO RATE from me.

Also I do not low rate people. If their profile is crap I pass it by. People have been known to "revenge rate, and block" which can hurt you. And they'll do it many times. I've seen it happen.

I show off my art and have a banner for the company I work for, but I'm mainly here for personal stuff. I don't see any biggie in showing off what you do for a living just as long as your profile isn't setup like a business listing.

This thread is veering off from the original question and going towards ratings and how people rate. Let's stick to the original question. ;)

Simply that the person took the time, made the effort to show a little part of themselves to everyone. It doesn't matter if its a lot or its with or without something. Each one should be judged on their own merits and if the person who created it gives you an idea of the person behind the profile, then I think it is perfect. The word is relative and means nothing. There is no criterion for that except the viewers response to what has been created.

I guess if we all at least continue to try to make it the best profile ever, than were doing something right. Some, have a problem with coding and are still trying to learn how to do it all. Like me.. But at least the effort is there. I've seen some awesome profiles on here, though:)

I get a ton of stuff from photobucket and lunapics.com. I make a jukebox music playlist from playlist.com. Hey though it's better to make your profile from Firefox, Opera or Google Chrome. I would avoid IE at all costs.

I Think The Perfect Profile Would Be One Which Is Informative, Presentable, Reasonable In Length And One Which Doesn't Take Forever To Load To Rate It. I Believe A Profile Reflects The Person Creating It. It Doesn't Have To Be Full Of Useless Information Or Quizzes Or Pictures. It Just Has To Represent You.

Tia it also depends on what browser you're using as well, which is why I advise using anything but IE. And just follow the rules and guidelines.
