do u think they really work cuz look at it like this ur asking a deck of cards to tell u something and its what that card means to that person idk im sorry i think they r a nice deck of cards and all but i don't think they work

most of the time when i do tarot reading it works but i don't depend only on them,tarot cards are not a definate solution, just a little help just like any other help about a question or a problem

whatever you do can only work if you actually put some belief into it. you cant expect anything to work well if you're hell-bent on proving it doesnt...

i read tarot and i belave its all in how its read then understood by the one you are reading its like a fortune cookie if you choose to belave it stongly enough it will happen

Tarot cards do work, if the person doing the reading knows how to read them. I used to read cards all the time.

I stopped reading them for other people because I found that if you tell someone they will do something, more than likely they will. I did not like choosing someone else's path for them. I still read them for myself, but not that often. Instead, I read runes. They seem a lot more accurate.

But, different things work for different people, so I say to each their own.

actually I am quite fond of Tarot. I study on the cards carefully, and actually I believe that they do work...everything has came true so far in my Tarot readings... but the Tarot can only offer so much... you mucst make your choices... you have the power to change the outcome. they can tell you what you should change or such and such things will happen if you don't

with the whole moon thing yeah we never were there please the shadows r not complyent withthe pictures that r there the flag is not blowing yet the shadow is or its the other way around come on were not that stupid but hey it was a hot air ballon lol one of my i guess "friends" read the cards and i had gotten out of the 3 rows 6 pentacls and a devil what does the devil card mean lol cuz i have dremnt of the "devil"

i know this might sound crazy but the cards that were read to me years ago were pretty much coming up with death left and right . It was during a time that my hubby was fooling around and he almost died that day. He got away somehow but the cards were saying, dont go to work pretty much because the guy was gonna hurt him, possibly kill him. Well, i did the cards too and the same card popped up, hubby did it, and the same card popped up. So he decided to stay out the next day. sure enough, the guy turned up at his job angry and looking for him from what fellow co-workers were saying. I believe the cards when one knows what they are saying. They can be used as a divination tool just as mslefaye said.

what they prodict never happens my mum (was mystdrgn) got hers done and she is ment to only have 2 children according to the tarot cards but she has 4, iv had it done i was ment to become very creative still not creative

like i said for someone gifted with the Sight they are a tool. If you know how the tool works you can accomplish something.......

again I must agree with lefaye...they are a tool....like runes, ouija,the bones, and any other divination tool....they are simply a focus point for the person doing the reading....there are many interpretations to any reading....it is up to the intuition of the reader to decide on the meaning and interpretation...

Ok, I get to be lazy. I agree with lefay.

When I did my first tarot reading(I did it myself cause I don't trust fortune tellers)and didn't believe it.I just did it for fun.I didn't even remember what were the results and when things came true I remembered about the reading and realised the tarots were right!

i don't know if they work, but i definetly believe is spiritual and unnatural things. There always doesn't have to be a damn scientific explanation.

I think one of the overlooked ideas of divination is that mayeb thigns ae chanelled through the body and the atmosphere, rather than concentrating on the problem i.e. how does a pack of cards do this... thats the point... its not just a pack of cards is it?

I think it depends on the persons that is reading/getting the reading. the readings I have given very close friends are accurate. But the cards cards out come can always be changed. I can get very in depth with reading. I don't always depend on the cards, but also intution, and feelings.

I have two sets. One is the fluffy happy one, the other is the 'well you asked' here's the blatent truth card. Truthfully I didn't really take great stalk into it until a friend of mine read mine. We were both reduced to tears and severe chills. I have a new lying respect for them and the people who read them. Not everyone, mind you, but the ones that really know how to read them.

It comes from the heart of the one asking. Simple as that. I'm not a doc, or play one on tv, I just know it isn't slight of hand, nor taking it for face value. There is something there, but I truthfully don't know what it is.

I saw this thread and had to respond....Well, I veiw Tarot as a tool to help the person who it is being read for to figure out the path. Each card has it's own meaning so when the card comes up, it came up for a reason. When the reader reveals it's meaning the viewer the view is who finds the true meaning in thier perticular question. It is a tool. The power of the tarot is in you the viewer. Everyone who has drawn the death card has had a drastic or will have a drastic change in their lifes. Matter of fact that is life. It isn't that the viewer ment to draw that card in that order it just addresses something within the person when they relate to that card. Sometimes the question posed is not always the question answered because that was not really what was on the viewers mind. this all of course is my opinion and mine alone.

I have a deck of tarots but i use them more as a party trick. i interpret them vaugely and let other people make up their own minds. it can be useful if people are worrying about a certain problem etc. even though they are a deck of cards sometimes people need something to tell them what to do. and as i let them make up their own mind they are actually deciding for themselves but there is less pressure on them

I'm not sure, i have alot of friends that use them, most of the time they work, but i wouldn't depend entirely on them...

I believe they work. I've had a lot of readings and the majority have been successful.

The cards are just a medium. How and if they work depends upon the person reading them. Pretty much anyone can pick up a deck and interpret, but as others have been stating it takes belief and guidance of a...."higher power" if you will.

On this I will have to say I am neutral. I do have a tarot deck and I do read them some times. But the durin one of the last time I read them I got a reading that kinda scared me. I dismissed the reading and put the cards away. It would take to long for me here to tell exactly which cards were laid out and the meanings behind them but needless to say I wasn't all that happy with the result. Several days later...All but two cards are the same. This is where I start to worry. I havent looked at the since and I dont intend to for a long time...

I just bought my 8th tarot deck the other day. lol I use each one for different people. One deck may work for one person, but not work for the next. I have so many becase I love them. A few decks I have to read just myself with. I try not to read anyone else with those.
