I often have strange dreams that end up reenacting themselves in reality the next day or so. Does this happen to anyone else, if so im interested in hearing about it.
it happens to me sometimes, but the problem is that i can not always see the diference between an ordinary dream and the ones that will come trough.
I have a reason for the nick... it hapened a few times to me. I sometimes can predict death. But I dont want to talk too much about it. It is close family i am talking about.
YEs, me either.
And I have quite similar "problem" as BAnshee.
And very often I just dont give any big meaning to them, just later then when I recognize some event or whatever from my dream.,
i still think dreams and premonitions are summit different. but well, usually i dream when i subconsciously deal with summit but i have never had a premonition
Since I'm only thirteen, you're probably think it's nonsense.Example: Last year I might be on my bed looking out the window and then I'll blink and see something. Once I blinked and saw a boy and what he was wearing. The next day at school I saw the boy and he was wearing exactly what I saw the night before.... But that's just me.
this is scary: my dad had a dream on the night of the 10th of september 2001 about an ice cream truck crashing and the ice cream man was called Juliano who is the mayor of New York where the twin towers were!!!!
I have had wicked Deja Vu experiences..I've actually been able to cut people off and say what they were going to say. Even wierds me out sometimes.
I don't know if i have dreams or premonitions but sometimes i dream about something happening in the future and it usually does and it leaves me with the feeling of deja vu. The only thing that bothers me about that is that i will dream a week at a time and then i have to live through deja vu for a week and it starts to get annoying.
yes had a few dreams where its felt like de je vu an seemed to hav felt like ive been there an seen it
I've had dreams that come true too but most of the time what i've come across with my self and other is u can never tell dream from premonition unless ur skilled in it
Oooh, i sometimes hate it when that happens... x.x It DRIVES ME CRAZY sometimes... Well, I believe in premonitions, and such. I'm psychic, and I'm devealoping my powers, but I am very good at telling what people are thinking, feeling or what they want. Or whether they are benevolent or not... Comes in handy when using the Ouija Board...
I often have dreams about people or things that I have not seen in long periods. Then shortly there after I see them or hear about them. Not sure what it is.
happens to me all the time, its funny really
but nevermind
Yeah it happens to me some times but not very often.
The funniest one i remember is I was sleep and the phone rung. I roll over & answer. It's my bestfriend saying "hey, was you sleep, wake up. I'm on my way over" I'm like ok, let me get dressed. Then, I hear the phone ringing, I'm like wtf! I wake up & answer....It's my bestfriend saying exactly what she said in the dream....I just busted out laughing & told her the dream. Then said "ok, let me get dressed" lol
i dont have them often but i have had that happen to me before, but im not sure i would call that a premonition because you could have been thinking about those things earlier that day and so you thought about them in your dream.... i dont know
i believe our dreams tell us what is to be.as long as the one having them has an open mind and is willing to decifer their dreams.i find that when it happens to me it's in the form of deja vu. but thats just me..its fun at times isnt it?
and then other times it really sucks
I too often can't tell if they are dreams or premonitions although many do come to pass. It's when the are reoccurring dreams that I know something big is going to happen as they are often metaphors of the event.
Unfortunately I have also experienced the knowledge of death- and wouldn't wish that premonition on anyone as it can make your dealings with people rather strained.
mmm interresting.....
To bad that I contol my own dreams, if I don't like what I'm dreaming I change it..........
Thats been the case since I was 9.
Till that time I had a repeating dream of a monster (T-rex combined with alien and grizly bear) that hunted me every night across a barren landscape and killed me everytime and it would start over in between normal dreams.
Then one day I managed to kill it. Never had it again and after that time I could control what I dream.
I have premontion dreams all the time...I am what I call myself...a vivid dreamer...I keep a dream journal and I have had dreams so vivid, that I wake up with bruises from fights and such in my dreams.
Zilverscale - wow you know how lucky you are? *is jealous*
I've read about some who have no problem controlling their dreams, (like you) meanwhile I struggle to reach lucidity every single night. I was sucessful for a phase a couple years ago, and had lucid dreams on a regular basis (heh all I can say of them is WOW - there really is nothing more amazing than realizing you are in a dream, right than and there, and all the power to do what you want is at your finger tips or mind with just a thought)
So I trudge on forth, trying to wake up in my dreams :D
Do as I do,as you lay there falling alseep, say in your head,I shall dream and I shall walk freely in them, tell yourself it is a dream and you control your dream state.
That might work....
Not sure, and I know I'm lucky in that I can contoll them, glad I can. Sometimes I have to much imagination for my own health :S
lol try to mix my monster together in your mind
well i have a few dreams that have come ture it is really freaking sometimes
I've tried everything, programming myself to realize it's a dream before going to sleep, but the fact is, once I'm in a dream, I often have no awareness that it's a dream, I don't think to question anything.
I have had sucess once with WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream - for anyone not familiar with it - where you sleep for 4-5 hours, wake up, stay up for 30-60 minutes than go back to sleep, keeping awareness as you drift into a dream)
I've even done reality checks periodically through the day, but have never even done one while asleep lol.
I think I'll shush up now as I could probably go on and on for hours about dreams *grins*
And to keep on topic with the post, I have had the odd dream which later came true, but nothing important, just silly little things that had no meaning.
Although I don't know if it was coincedence or not, but while I was pregnant I dreamt I met this young boy who told me his name was Tomis. I felt such a connection to this boy. He was so familiar to me.
Later on in the pregnancy when I go for my routine ultrasound, much to my shock and delight, I find out I was having twins.
And than while going through baby name books, I find out the name Tomis (or Thomas) means 'twin' ... needless to say I was astounded lol
But who knows, it all might of been just coincedence.
mmmm keeping in with the subject a it.
I've had "waking dreams" (to bad not for the last couple of years)
Later on the day when I've had such a dream I can just sit and go this, that and thats going to happen and they would.
Dark, have you ever had the...dream within a dream,I do that alot,be in a dream...then realise it is not a dream...but you are in another dream within it?
quite often Wolfman lol and it's so annoying when it happens.
Usually in my case it's me telling someone about my dream. I'll dream, than think I'm waking up and I'm all excited about this weird/amazing/freaky dream I had, I go off to tell friends or family .. than blam I wake up for real.
i have had a few dreams that felt like it was really happening to me and i would wake up and be scared if it was a nightmare , or i would wake up mad whatever i was feeling in the dream i would feel after i was awake
I will say...I don't agree with dream doctors or dream books,I think dreams are more then your sub-con mind relieving stress from the day.Dreams are more then they claim...I have studied my dreams and I have never had anything close (except premontion dreams) ever happen in real life.Maybe they are a link to a higher plain or another dimention.
The fact we only use about 10% of our brain, it's amazing to me what people can dream about.....your sub conious is a world of it's own, you just follow along for the ride.
I think Autistic (spell Check) Persons use a higher % of the brain, hence the things they can do amaze us.
I agree,I have almost died 3 times, maybe that opened a place in my brain I never used before,my mother and grandmother were empaths, maybe they passed it on to me.I sometimes see things in the night, just out of the corner of my eye.
i do and i have and at times in the dream if i can see where its going i will change it and hold onto it and at times its literally saved my life
this ones been done a few times *scratches another tally into the desk* but yes i do get these not so often anymore but when i open my mind before i sleep then i can get the easily
I've actually had several dreams that ended up actually happening. Maybe not the very next day as mine usually tend to take a while to actually occur, but it does happen. I still say to this day that I predicted my brother. When I was 14 I had a dream that my mom was holding a baby boy maybe around 6 or 7 months old with blond hair and blue eyes. The following year, she had my brother and you guessed it, he has blond hair and blue eyes. Still does to this day and he's now 7 years old. Kinda freaky, but cool at the same time.
mmmm
Marius wasn't it that average humans used about 7 or 8 % and Einstein used 10%???
This has happened to me when awake not sleeping, My mother was psychic and I guess some of it rubbed off, I once opened a gate, that was number encoded for safety for a high-profile computer company, I just knew the numbers to push....also have told several friends they were pregnant before they were tested.
Well I do have dreams that sometimes reinact themselves, but I cant really tell the diffrence unless I remember it from my dreams.
I think its u make things happen dreams are a guide its up to us how we interpert them and how we use them in our everday life
I have an aunt that does that. She has dreams about people and they will happen. Usually dreams about something bad that will happen. If she says that she had a dream about someone being hurt or dying, it will come true. She usually has it down to how it will happen.
