There was a show on on Thursday on the Sci-fi channel about vampires. Did anyone else see it?? they were making us look like fools or murderers...they even stated that the "psyhic vampire" was the most dangerous, as to the fact that they feasted off of "life" energy to the point where it would cause death....do u agree with this???

Unfortunately anything even vaguely off mainstream is usually portrayed as "bad" "evil" "dangerous".

thats true...it was interesting...the movie was pretty good...i saw it last week...but yeah...they stated that the psychic vampire was more dangerous than the blood drinking vampire....i found that interesting...

I missed that damn! But I'll comment anyway. Ppl on the outside view vampires in a fictional way due to the media, movies etc. So I can imagine the shit they said and showed on us. Well, the best way for nobody to get upset about things is not to watch television.

We only have the capability to watch DVDs, we dont other watching TV,a nd haven't even tried to tune the channels in... its like trying to get a million people to agree with the opinions of one team.

Well, i don't normally watch much tv..i'm usually to busy..i prefer reading anyway...but i saw it and decided to watch...the people that they chose....it was almost totally wrong...maybe if you check out the sci-fi website...u might be able to find out about the show. i don't believe anything with the media...they are all puppets in this world anyway...but

I saw it and was disgusted because I am a vampyre but I am not a murderer. When I feed I never kill because I use a donor. Theyre just stupid closed minded people who lable things bad or evil because they dont care enough to do their research. Or if the do research they only poll a small group of people if that. They probably just look at old murder cases that envovle the occult.

Movies, shows, and the like are designed to interest the largest audience...
If the audience that would be the largest was christian...the program would be anit-vampiric...and vice versa

actually that TV show , In Search Of : is about 10 yrs old ...so anything said on there is old and it states when it first comes on...anything said or stated on this program is opinion not fact...and the producers i=of the show have no say in what is said on the program....it was just a show for ppl who wanted insight on different unexplained phenomina

Most of the time, its misunderstanding that causes problems-I remember seeing that show...Did anyone ever see the show "Real" Vampires exposed? I enjoy watching movies and television greatly for entertainment. But for news or info you got to make sure to take it with a grain of salt. 15 years ago Phil Donahue was telling my mom Ozzy was the devil and he put subliminal messages on his tapes telling me to kill myself, now I catch her watching the Ozbournes w/ my baby sis.

I've never seen the movie but the talk about vampires being murderers? Well, they don't explain crap about WHY they murder. My theory is that being an immortal sortof drives you mad after a while. I was hoping that it would help the mundane society to understand vampires but instead they only confirmed the myths and legends concerning vampires. I know the A & E special "Vampires" ( which airs on October 28th @ 8pm EST) will give the mundanes the truth about vampirism.

I am a firm believer that we should read, watch, listen to EVERYTHING-yes, some of it, nay most of it is going to be crap, but you never know when or where you might run across a kernel of truth. Better to read, etc. everything, and be well informed about what is being said, than to miss something and lose it all. it is a person's right and duty to take in everything, and sort through the crap to find what is good or true-otherwise how will one ever know what they missed?

what they said on that show is always portraying us as something evil and self centered; that we just feast off blood for pleasure which some of its true; but if you noticed there are some people that kill for pleasure and then say that all other vampires do that; like the one guy on there that killed an innocent; my opinion on it was it was accurate in some areas but in others very wrong; i think that some psychic vamps don't know how to control their powers ;

Speaking as someone who makes his living on television, I really do take offense that all TV is crap. First, That type of statement has NOTHING to do with a show about vampires.
Second, I would like to think that my time on air is spent EDUCATING people. ENTERTAINING people. Do I think I have an influance on the 35,000+ people that watch my show weekly. Sure. Should they base their life on what I say?

Anything is Possible, if someone is constantly drained of the Prana within the body (a.k.a Mana, Life Energy, Chi, Ki, ect), it can cause a weakness within the body. Which would allow in sickness, which would cause death.

The only reason why the Psy Vampyres are reputed to be dangerous is because they can't be seen feeding, the same go for those who take the energy through emotions.

Were I, as a Sanguine have a lot harder time trying to feed do to the actual sight of me licking blood from a cut or so forth.

I did seet the piece. I viewed it in the context that it was done from the point of view of a non-believer; and two, it's T.V. It needs to be jazzed up for maximum viewership.
