it has come to my attention that there is the belief that there exists real live vampyre hunters..i even found sites on the web about how to become one...
now i am not clear on this subject but it is my belief that there are people who believe they are...but i am curious to know what you guys think on the subject

in modern day times the actions of a self proclaimed hunter would be considered murder.unfortunatly that same person would get off the charges due to insanity plea's

Yes, their are real life hunters who come after people of the condition. These figures only see us as problems, parasites that feed on humanity, evil, which must be killed in order to clense the world of its problem.

These figures get onto Occult sites, lure people out, gain information about what these people wear as house symbols and such.

     This hunting business is absurd. Why hunt vampires? They do not pose a threat to humanity even if they feed off from us they also live in silence... Is there any good reason of becoming a hunter and wasting your life looking for intangible things? Aren't vampires hard to find.. so why bother...

     A greater threat to humanity nowadays is plagues and those unreasonable wars... especially they happen on 24/7 while vampire problems last for half a day during nighttime...

I know they are out there. I have ran into them before. Some kid who watched me for several weeks, everytime I turned around the little bugger would be nearby. Finally I was able to get him to follow me between some buildings in my city. He did not follow me again afterwards. When I went around the corner, he followed. He did not know I was waiting for him. When I grabbed him he started screaming as if I killed him or something. I warned him and told him to warn any of his other little preppy goons of what would happen to them if they continued to screw with me. Never had a problem since.

I wished to hell one would step up to me again. The only thing I can say is "bring it!"

i think there are some in my town, because i've found messages in my mailbox saying things like'we know what you are, and we will kill you if you hurt someone'. i'm really scared, and if i go to the cops, they might arrest ME because i've stollen blood from a slaughter house b4, and i also think the cops are in on it.

They do exist, There are a few in this area. Most are hamless kids who have no fucking clue what they are into. Those are easy to handle.
What freaks me out are the loony Jesus Freaks who think that "God" spoke to them to rid the world of these "evil vampires". A few years back we had some loony who was following/ stalking/ Harrassing some of the local Goths. A quick call to the police handled that situation, and last I checked he's in a mental hospital.

If you or anyone else is dealing with stalkers, stupid notes, ect. Call the Police. You don't need to tell them you're a vampire (discretion is a good thing at times), Stalkiing and harassment, threats ect are illegal. Usually a visit for the police is enough to get this nut to go away. If not, keep a record of all notes and tape the harrassment if possible.
You could also look into your states gun laws, and concealed- carry laws. A sharp wooden stake doesn't do shit against Mr. 44.
In Va, you can carry a gun on your hip in plain view, and if you take a state certified course, pass a background check you can apply for a concealed carry permit.
Every state is a little different on that, so check with your local police department.

Not sure about the family line thing, sounds fictionish to me. Yet, there are hunters in the US, their have been reports of people being killed by a group who looked exactly for this person or these types.

even over the mere years of my human life i have found that there are hunters especially though they are rare nowadays dragon masters. i knew one once, he hunts everything. some are born to the task of hunting down our kind.

Birmingham, Mi. is home to a few hunters. It is also a metaphysical dead zone. The few times I have gone there, I felt drained and tired, and have been followed by people. I am not a vampire, but a witch, so I have a feeling that the people following me were more than just vampire hunters. The one friend of mine who is a vampire refuses to get within a mile of Birmingham, he is that frightened of it.

But I've never encountered a real vampire that I'm aware of. I imagine they'd be hard to find and that they can take care of themselves.

I have to say there are vampyre hunters out there. To tell the truth ti scares me half to death. Think about it we are just like humans only we require a alternated feeding source. I can see if our kind are like the ones in fiction going out and commiting mass murders and becoming a treat to man but we aren't. Personally I have came across someone that said they were a hunter of god. Not only were they out to kill vampyres but witches sorcerers anything of the ocult. Yes. I was being followed a long time ago. I thought that I got away from them in Cairo, but I've seen them here in the US again. The strange thing is they looked almost like the same people! Boy I am glad I live where I live we don’t seem to have Goth bashers or vampire hunters for the most part the only thing to fear is the weekly visit from the Mormons. Actually... where I live we have a house downtown that serves as a vampyre hunters clubhouse. I met a few of them... personally, I found most of them possitively insane, but some seemed as if they were serious, and really believed in what they were doing. They aren't very smart though....

There are a few ways you could interpret the term "Hunter or Slayer".

For example, say you are a Psy/Psi Vamp. The Slayer/Hunter version may be someone such as clergy.

You are a Sanguine, or Blood Vampire, the Slayer/Hunter could be someone as simple as a therapist to try and curb the desire.

Or, of course there is always the extreme. Which I'm sure all here are shuddering at the thought....

I know they are out there and that they are totally SERIOUS about their 'calling' to cleanse the world of those they believe to be 'evil, Satan worshipers, witches,' whatever.

This is my thing, as a studier of religions and spiritual paths- I know that real Modern-Day Vampires have nothing to do with anything Satanic. This is a path some choose (or some believe they are chosen) because of their specific need to use these heightened senses. For instance-you were an avid reader and had no books... Imagine how 'hungry' you would be if you could not read them. You could say the same for having the need for energy. Call them weird if you will- but it is done among mutually consenting adults- rather it is feeding off of energy or blood. A mutually fulfilling experience for those involved- and who is anyone to pass judgement on their personal encounters that happen to be harming no one.

So who the hell are these hunters for trying to hurt, mame, or even kill these people? They are real... that is for sure. Just as real as the KKK, Skinheads, or any other group set out doing hate crimes without real knowledge.

I also agree with imagesinwords. If there are Vampires there has to be Vampire Hunters, right. Same with animals (there are animals so has to be someone to hunt them). Why they wanna kill Vampires I don't know. Maybe they are jealous that the Vampires get so much fame and attention, or they just aren't informed. We need to help the Vampires not hurt them.
