I just want to hear some insight on what
Makes Someone a Vampire?
And why it makes them One ?
Because Poeple ask me all the time what makes me one And I say Because I want to be one .
Is there some sort of recrute to it ?

I would guess it varies for different people, no 2 are the same.

I'll tell you what makes me Vampiric. Yes, Vampiric. in no way am I what you comonly refer to as 'vampire'I am vampiric in sexual, mentel, and emotional nature.
In no way does my body, hair, or skin tone show that i am a 'vampire' in no way do my manurisms support such a claim.
I understand the complexities of a vampire, I am in no doubt, inlove with them.
I respect and honor them.
What makes me vampiric is simple, I have tendancies, I fit into the society as one.
though i am more open with myself, I understand the need for secrecy and privacy from mortal humans.
I am as mortal as they get, but I have skirted death several times. I am given 2, 3 and up to 7th chances to do better the 'next time'.
I am blessed with what I have at my disposal. I am complex, interesting, yet moody and intelegent.
I suppose it is my innar being that is vampiric...
there are physical and mental vampires. I suppose I am a mental one, as funny that sounds...

people have mentioned the lifestyle,ect. But I have not heard one person mention the word "spiritual" with vampire.I wonder why that is.I have sat on a council chair in a house,been through messy council meetings where the council has deteriorated.Conducted rituals,and it has all been spiritual in one way or another.So what is missing? I wish I could say.

I beleive nothing can make one a vampire unless one has the gene. I think it is hereditary. Some who have the gene are awaken some are not. Some are helped to awaken and some figure it out on their own. Eventhough one or both of one's parents had the gene they might not have been awaken. Sometimes the gene is passed through generations, before it is awakend again.

I agree with VladDraculIV. I have come across some research papers that supported that theory. I have also researched my ancestors back about 384 years, and have found mention of some sort of Vampiric traits. I belive it is carried down through the bloodlines, but you do not have to posess the gentic components to become a Vampire.

It's not so much the life style that I like it is just the way I am. I understand the need for privacy and respect. I think what makes a person a vampire isn't so much genetics, even though that is a big part, it is just who they are. You either like the sun or you don't, you either despise everyone around you or you don't, you tell everyone everything about yourself or you don't. A person can't just wake up one day and decide they are a vampire. They have either always been that way, or something happened to them in their life that has made them a vampire. So basically it is a matter of preference.

I for one like my privacy, I don't like the sun, and I despise everyone around me, and I dont' like telling people about myself. I have always been this way, and probably always will be. I was born into the life style, and there is nothing that can change that.

Well, the classification of what makes you one is the lack of Life Energy that the body produces. Which causes phsycial sickness which weakens one person.

If going for long times without feeding the body can become extremly ill or the Dragon can rise up and take control through subtle manipulation of the thinking mind in order to get what it wants.

Anyone can be one, from the cheerleader, to the little girl in the front of the class who has lived in a shelter life and gets straight A's. The Condition awakens when its time and will always stay there.

Just because someone dresses in black, wears fangs, only goes out at night, and believes they are something special doesn't make them a vampyre of the actual condition.

Yet, people who want to become one so bad, some times end up killing a chakra or faking themselves out, causing their body to loose the energy, which would then in turn make them into a Vampyre. Yet those who fake themselves out only end up loosing to themselves and eventually regain the control again to properly use the Life Energy.

As for those that some how destroy the link to a Chakra, this can be greatly harmful to the body and spirit. In fact, it can probably kill you in the long run if you some how learn to disconnect its connection to your subtle body (Spirit).

I feel that people that feel that they are vampires based on the lifestyle is an acceptable explanation. As far as others that say it is because of some physical dependence may it be Blood or Life Energy can be explain with medical reasoning.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I don't think it's a mindset. I think it goes deeper, into the soul of the person. I feel different from most people. I feel that I am.

in all honesty in my opinion it has to do with needing the blood like one needs water..you have to have it in order tohelp your health..not just cuz its a fettish or fun to do..but because you honestly need it ...not that i am saying you dont grow to enjoy it and intergrate it in several aspects of your life..but to be a vampyre in the honest sence is what it origionally was..one who needs blood from others to sustain ones life.

Actually it goes deeper then just a life style. Infact its not even a life style for some. I don't wear fangs, black, or try to stay out at night. I like the sun, even though if I'm up doing any type of work before 3pm I feel slugish. I usually wear light colors.

The Condition is a lack of life nergy within the body, which can't be toltally related to the physical condition either. Which makes tracking the Condition or even proving it alot harder then trying to find out who is Hypogluamsemic.

first i would have to go with everyone on the whole lifestyle thing.......i would say thats the largest bit to it but other things i think of is the whole biting thing which is very fun lol.....the being comfotable in the dark.......

i must say it is a lifestyle, along with a soul thing but for most it is a choice that they like the idea so they get into vampirism. eventually it becomes who they are. sorry there are no contagous bites or anything for all you who think that's how all vampires are made. cause it isn't true.

If makeup/clothes does it, if ritual does it etc. As long as you feel complete as the vampire you wanna be, then who can say you're not..?

What makes me a vampire is how I live..Basically lifestyle but that is not the only thing..You see I have been raised with vampires ever since I was born..I do enjoy biting but that is not what makes someone a vampire..People who are none vampires think that they just have all the answers to vampireism..But this is what I really think on the subject..

Vampires are vampires because they have a vampiric soul. They are mortal, human flesh, but they have something within them that makes them a vampire. There is a DISTINCT difference between a blood drinker and a vampire.

A vampire generally personifies their inner nature as a "beast" or a "thirst" or a "hunger" because it can literally feel as it if crawls around, just below the surface of the skin. There are problems often with mental instabilities from repression of this sorta duality within them. It's a hard thing to come to terms with. It both is and is not separate from them. It's a singularity of the duality; as I said, a bit like a symbiotic existence.

A vampire has a permanent emptiness within. It demands to be filled regularly with blood or energy. It is required to be "whole" and "complete." Sorta like the only way a harmony is achieved; that symbiosis - is through feeding. More regular feeding keeps the vampire in harmony. Infrequent feedings cause disruption leading to weakened state leading to mental degradation and repressed immune system. (a vampire does not die from lack of blood, but rather, from a disease or infection as a result of the weakened immune system as a result from lack of blood)

A vampire is always a vampire. There is no "cure" for it. One can certainly stop feeding and attempt to make dormant their inner nature, but it never goes away. Never. Why? Because you can no more will your soul away and still be you then can a vampire carve out their nature and still be them.

First of all let me say that I am not a vampire ... I love biteing and live somewhat of a vampiric lifestyle and in no way do I think that makes me a vampire
I belive it is a spiritual thing something you are born with and not something you just obtain as for the imortal I have always belived it is the soul and not the body
Most of the vampire that I know have gone threw some sort of awakeing to something they have always deep inside known ... and for the how do you know you are a vampire you just do

I do agree- Without the need, the pain that comes when one does without feeding, it is simply a lifestyle choice, a fetish, if you will.

That is not meant in offence to any that do such for pure pleasure, as it is a most enjoyable experience, to feed.

Ive always felt different then everyone else. The sun bothers me when Im out in it, I need to feed or I get sick with physical pain. Plus the lifestyle is amazing and very comforting.

A most interesting topic; one I have pondered for long years. I can only speak for me - for my real Being - and say that being vampyre is a condition - a Gestalt - of life affirmation. All that "vampyre" is revolves around life, revolves around energy, desire, creation, free expression in the truest sense of the idea. Vampyre is at the same time Bacchanalian and Platonic. Again, I speak only for me when I say it is LIFE, not death that intoxicates me. Whether it is the heart shattering beauty of a certain melody, or the unbridled hunger and desire for the Other it is life at its most pure.

I do not believe that as vampyre I am apart from non vampyre. I believe that as vampyre I am infinitely more part of and intune with life. The non vampyre muddles hither and yon... the best it can do is to see the images on the cave wall... shadows. It depends on what type of Vampire you are refering to. The psy vamps are born with the ability and therefore are hard to pick out. The turned vamps are easy to spot because they look....... well.......... undead so to speak

For starters it would depend on the type of Vamp. Psy, Sangi, poser, or just have a vampiric nature.

Also is one a "true" vamp or just another "being" who uses "vamp" as something to cling to while they search into WHO they truly are.

wow ok what makes me vampiric are the changes that have happened to me since my awakening my senses my teeth thing that bother me now where as they never did before all these things that just happen and you have no control over things that you see things that you do things that cant possibley seem real but are things you cant belive but have too i have been threw alot and seen to much not to be what i am i have my own fangs i have alot of things that would say i am what i am even my doctors cant figure out certian things about my blood and why it different i have changed from the inside out and i know that what i am is very real

The defining factor would be your need to feed from energy outside of the food you eat.

I think that you are made a vampyre when your body loses all of it's own blood and must be replaced with other blood to survive, whether it is by injection or drinking or anyting else. I don't know exactly how you'd become one... I've been wondering that, too. If anyone has any insights on that, could you please message me?

I think it is their desire to live a vampiric lifestyle. I don't beleive it is all hereditary...I beleive its inside someone's heart and also is their way of life....SUch as some people has religions such a god etc...I thin the vampyres has their own way of life and the way they choose to live. Some loves to have their own rules and their governament .

I believe that what makes a vampire a vampire depends on the person. I think there are those who are vampires that were born into it. I waas born the way I am and I dont remember all my past lives so I cant say why I am this way. Then there are those who just want to be because they enjoy the lifestyle, and then there are those who are just draining people. lol.

a choice was made by you and you alone...you chose the lifestyle because it came natural for you...you felt more alive than before...you see people more clearly than before...you became vampyre because you chose to..

Vampirism is not a choice. It is with you from the moment of your birth. It is technically not hereditary because it extends beyond your physical body. It is the lack of pranic energy resulting in the need to feed from another person in order to remain alive.
If a person lives the 'lifestyle': i.e. dress goth, drink blood, etc., It doesn't make them a vampire. Those who claim to be vampires simply because they want to be or because they 'live the lifestyle' are posers and fakes. This argument is getting really old.

I do agree with you this argument is getting old. I do know that I was born with what I have. I do not know why perhaps a past life. That is my only thought. I just know what I do and that it is the definition of a psi vamp. Old argument though. Not even really worth having anymore because if you want to be technical about it all there is no winner... it is a medical condition that you are born with..you cant turn it on or off..its not just about the enjoyment..its a way of life..a way to keep on living..
and you cant be changed into a vampyre..not possible...you are either born one or you just have a fettish..simple as that

A vampire is someone with the craving for blood and the ability to not be able to go out during the day without being fried to death. Unless you are what they call a, "day walker".

Vampires also have the very sharp teeth that are also called "k-9 teeth".
