Please forgive me if this has already been done or is misplaced, but I haven't seen anything about this anywhere, so I am asking VR....


There are many people who feel that vampires are disgusting and purely evil creatures...I have heard stories about vampires who wish to redeem themselves with their God(s)...They wish to harm nothing and no one...Is it possible that there can be a "good" vampire and can there be an "evil" vampire?

well yes as its our own decision as to weather we want to travel and evil road or a good road... same as regular humans have a choise in doing good or evil... thought we may be viewed as creatures of evil, t'is simply a lable wrapped around us all to make it easier to understand something they have no clue about

there is good and evil in every species of life why should ours be any different..

i guess it depends on what one would define as good or evil. vampires, in my opinion, are neither here nor there. a vampire drinks blood, does that make them evil. a single vampire may be seen as evil ffor holding no moral value or for his lifestyle, but as a whole, it is a lost cause to try and classify them as good or evil.

Vampires are not evil nor good it just depends on the person that they were.

I agree with truevamp. A vampire was a real person and as such can be either good or evil.

There is good and evil no matter what to balance out life.

I don't think anyone can say that they are entirely "good" or "evil." Everyone has their tendencies towards one or other but as vampires I don't think we can get up every single day/night and say "Grrr, yes I am one hundred percent evil and I think I'll go and rip someone's head off to prove it."

As for blood-drinking, it's more a matter of survival. Sangs need to live. It may be easier for psys to feed but we're then not as readily accepted as vampires because we do not require blood on a regular basis. But I digress.

As I said, it's about survival. Would you go up to someone who is eating a burger in a restaurant and tell them they are evil because a cow died for them to eat? You might. On the other hand you might not. The point is vampires aren't, in most cases, going around killing people to survive so what's so evil about a little blood drinking from a willing donor?

I have not much to say.

My opinion is that most vampires that are real are evil, they have gone around in history mutilating people and drinking their blood even selling body parts to the local butchers, so i think that would make them evil, but they have been proved guilty in the past and have been executed. Unless some smart ass has 'risen' them again, but I have never seen that with my own eyes, but I am very young you know.
There are people that are on death row that are more evil than vampires also, which must mean that somewhere in the world there are flower sniffing pussy vampires hanging around 'feeding' of donors or eating more meat than they should and that would make them a good vampire.

Who knows? You decide.

I would like to say a few wrods to merton's post, until you can give me names dates and official records stating that a Vampire did any of what you mentioned and when you can tell me it was not a really bad disorder and was just a vampire doing his thing...look real vampires dont normally go around butchering people or killing them at all for that matter. If they did, they would get noticed and we all know that to stay hidden, we must not arrouse attention. So that, I believe, is basically off the wall. Unless there is another disorder in their mind and there could be, I do not think vampires are in any way like what you said. But that is just my opinion. However, it is a rather intriguing idea...

it's just like nature i believe everything is good and evil! but usually only one side is chosen.

as stated by me in similar threads...vampyres are just human beings with a condition..they can be either evil or good depending on their personality..just like people are in life who are not vampyres

I spend a lot time helping minds awaken and become more aware...The evil stigma of things are mostly brought from old traditions, movies and books...Every being has both good and evil
within them...It is in their purpose and intent that shows the difference...and yes there is true Evil out there...It consumes many everyday...

I belive that if you have the will you can be a good vampire. But for myself I like being bad..muwhahaha

Nature itself is both good and evil. It depends on how one percieves themselves to be. wheather it be more good than evil or more evil than good. It is my belief that one has the knowledge of what they truely are. But they also have the capability to bring out more of what they want. But in saying that we are both is in essence putting us into the same category as nature itself.

there are good vampires in the world they become vampire hunters but they only kill evil vampires and they tent to travel i groups and hunt by day instead of night some good vampires and not full blooded vampire

to answer this question first one must ask themself what really is good or evil and does good or evil even exsist in this world at all wheter it is in human form or vampire maybe there is no good or evil at all.

vampires can be good or evil(like me). the only difference is that good vampires are only rencarnated because they have something to live for. ex: making sure that his/her family stays together or to keep his/her family safe. an evil vampire, like myself, is rencarnated for the soul propose of taking revenge on some one, or taking back what was theirs in the first place, or even, just to cause complete cahos under their lord the all mighty SATIN.

I agree with devilsbestangel entirely, besides, the circle of reincarnation is a far too complex subject to just break it down into a "good" or "bad" scenario. In fact no physical being on earth may understand it entirely, our simple, protein based brains aren't meant to understand such elemental connections of the universe for good reasons.

I'm no better here what with my last post on this thread, but why does religion have to come into good vs evil whatnot? Am I mistaken, is there anyone out there who believes in reincarnation but is not Buddhist or some sort of Pagan? If so, I shall retract my statements in this post.

Indeed, religion and good vs evil come up together a lot, but perhaps too much now, if it's all become the same thing. Like two beautful lovers who should not be, or some such poetical nonsense. Nothing wrong with a booty call, but they just should not make babies, get my drift?

Well it is a well known fact to me that GOOD cannot exist without EVIL! So who is to say that they are all good or all evil???

Okay so going past just your consience. Lets say a good vampire had to battle an evil vampire. And it is happening right now, so you can't stop it, what is the final reaction from other vampires? what is the politics? would it be a serious issue?

I think it is possible to have good and evil in any case. It all depends on what one choose to do with their life, no matter what they are!

There is good and evil in everything. Personally, I view myself to be evil, and not just because I think its cool(although I do), But my track record speaks for itself.

Good and Evil are just ways to describe, in our own opinions, if we like or dislike what we see or the way things effect us.

Well from my point of view I agree with most of you. But I also believe that vampires are not bad. We just make bad choises. But we are also not good. We just make good choises. Its a little complicated.

This is merely a theory, something that works for many people. We could go back and forth all day giving examples of good vs evil, but none of it would prove whether or not it is truly balanced, or whether or not good 'feeds' from evil, so to speak, or vise versa. It's a theory; a nice one; but just a theory.

(Before I get beaten, let me put forth here that I actually do believe good can't exist without evil. It's just not a fact. Haha!)

Every race of beings has the choice to be good or evil. Its a personal choice one has to make for themselves whether or not they want to be good or evil.

It all depends on which mythos you wish to feed from! The whole notion of "good" vampires stems from notions about alcoholics, drug addicts, and sexual predators who feel guilty about their respective addictions. So if you look at vampirism as an addiction, then there can be "good" vampires who hate the habits to which they owe their souls. These are the vimpires I'm most emotionally in sympathy with. But there are other vampires who are an utterly alien species; vampires who look upon mortal humans as cattle. These vampires exist at a level somewhere beyond our human concepts of good and evil. To mortals, they are utterly evil. But they do not see themselves as evil anymore than we do when eating the animal species available to us on our planet. Are such vampires evil? Of course not! Because concepts like "good" and "evil" are ultimately meaningless!

To answer your question with another question. Is a person good or evil? Every person, vamp or mortal, is a master of who they are. They choose to be good or evil. To claim that vampires are ‘evil’ is discrimination based on an old wives tale. WE are all masters of our own destiny. So because you are a vampire are you evil? Are you an evil person?

The vampire are evil from the moment they start to exist, but the time passing make some of them more wise and clever, that is the path to the superior side.
After my opinion, a "good" vampire is like a lion: wise, powerfull, social, a natural born leader.

Yes there is "good" and evil" vampires well that is what i believe anyway. I would say that it is their own choice which side they shall take. But their own fate shall decide wether they live or die.

I think yes there can be good and bad vamps. For example some of us would ONLY feed off of the willing, where others may feed off of only the unwilling.... They say it's the excitement of the hunt but in my eyes they're bad!!

We all have choices and paths in life....theres a good path and a "evil" path...it depends on the choices you make...it is quite possible to be a good vampire and it is possible to be an evil one...

It is the same with all kinds of beings. There is a choice between good and evil. The option is as individual as we are. Some may see evil as one thing, others may see it as another. Good is also in the eye of the beholder. There are many areas of gray in my humble opinion.
