As of late, there have been rumors of kids with black eyes approaching people and asking to come into their homes, cars and places of business. Has anyone heard of them or have an opinion as to what they are? I cant link you but are vids on youtube..
I had to look this up. Very interesting. Although I know that a lot of the accounts on the internet could be false, I'm not completely positive that I don't believe in these "Black Eyed Children". I've never encountered this phenomena myself, but as a child, my father owned a collection of books about all kinds of occult topics, myths, lore, and the like. These books were like an encyclopedia for the unexplained. Things that there is very little proof of. And guess what one of these books featured? That's right, these "Black Eyed Children". These books were published in the 80's before people started really popping up with accounts of meeting or fighting these creatures. So I kind of think this is a really interesting subject.
It's an interesting subject that I've looked into much in the past. No one from my other site knows what to think of them, just as demon children or aliens. *shrugs*
They show up and ask if they can help you go inside. A rumor says they kill the people that invite them, but that's just a whisper. Who knows?
There's an account on one of the sites I looked at where a girl said she let 2 in. She says they had said that they came to "collect" her, and she locked them in her house and ran to the neighbors. I'll find that site again and post it here.

That's the link ^^^
I just saw a TV program about this... I think it was Discovery or Destination Channel...
The children always wear hoodies , keep their heads lowered, to hide their eyes. At first they are polite, but creepy....
If you refuse, they get aggressive... and reveal their black eyes.
It was warned to NEVER let them in.
Interesting topic I haven't heard of or if I did didn't pay any attention to at the time. If there are articles in books or anywhere else you know of from the last century I would contact Snopes.com because they are very skeptical. Read what they have to say.

Personally until I do more research I am neutral. Sometimes certain stories are just for attention but when it is really wide spread and there are articles that predate this group of stories and a movie they mention that was released then maybe there is some substance to the claims. I personally don't know.
I think it can all be traced to the popularity of colored contacts, and pranks.
Whos to say its not real,we have Bigfoot/Mothman/ghosts/Aliens/ Angels/Demons/and many unexplainable things, now Black eyed children. If all these things are a possibly that people have encounterd,Then who to say Vampires dont exist?Elviscat
It is all based on anecdotal evidence, and it always appears that anyone who decy can't people see how lares themselves to be experts always pitch their "data" thru commercial publications. So if there are any sound accounts of Cryptocritters please direct me to them.
Why can't people see how easily it would be for people with a weird streak to perpetuate such a hoax unsuspecting folk?
The thing about stories of the supernatural/phenomena/paranormal is that once one person comes out with a claimed sighting others follow suite.. whether or not they saw something.. which allows for fabrication, or allows them bias in witnessing something that although not supernatural/paranormal, they are lead to accept as such by their very predisposition to ch stories/accounts. Even the staunchest of believers has to be discerning when they hear accounts of such thing. After all not everyone is gullible. For example the show Fact or Faked even has a Voice Stress Analyzer hooked up to their phone that filters out people who are not sincere in their claim, or who may be outright hoaxers themselves.
wasn't there a Dr Who episode..... are you my mommy....the thing had a gas mask on.
these so- called black eyed children are no more real that the one with the gas mask
As a few have posted this is the first time I have herd of them too. Seems like something out of a Steven Kings novel. I looked around on google and read a few stories. Very creepy and I think would make a great movie for around Halloween when the kiddies trick or Treat. One blog I read offered this:
Demonic Children are, for the most part, considered to be the offspring of upper-level evil entities (although some are demon/human hybrids). They look like mortal children but are described as pure evil. Generally regarded as extremely dangerous, their powers are known to become even stronger with age. Take for example “Cambion”, also known as “The Devils Brat”, who, in medieval England, often took the form of a devious child...

I have heard of them. Now having said this.. I will also go on to say that many here.. only can look at things on a 3 dimensional level.. and that is the *norm* However,, once one can actually find that 4th dimension.. they can see that anything in possible.. Do I believe? Perhaps..
Anything is possible? Lets look at that cliche..
If indeed anything is possible, then it is possible that it is all just a hoax.
If anything is possible, then I invite you to cut off your hand, and wait for it to grow back. Seems to me that such a cliche becomes irrelevant once a rational challenge is introduced to the equation.
BTW just where in the 4D concept do you find anything relating to paranormal beings?
http://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-the-fourth-dimension.htm
Well to start the 4th Dimension is time and space more of a continium, now the Black Eyed Children yes they maybe a myth but however the Cornovii tribe (people of the horn) and their fascination with satanic ritual and human sacrifice. That was 2000 years ago, but still their legacy continues. It is fairly common for people to see groups of hooded individuals chanting and drawing pentagrams in the dirt to this very day, although I am not suggesting they would harm a child, as it states clearly in their doctrine that “the ninth rule of the Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth is: Do not harm little children”. However, we know that Satanists like to conjure up demons, and which entities are their number one preference? You guessed it – Child Demons. so who knows maybe they do exsist just beware that knock on your door late at night
It's obvious that my perception and knowledge of the 4th dimension, certainly isn't from the geek pages.. the Site you have posted only speaks of what it seemingly knows science .. However, as it been said here *thank you Black* it is more perceived as a continuum in both space and time,, rather than just scientific jargon.. and as I said,, Do I believe? Perhaps.. Perhaps indeed..
Satanist do not believe in corporeal entities. You are more then likely thinking of Theistic Luciferianism.
Satanist do not summons demons.
It is so funny how people will discredited science in one breath, yet quickly embrace it when they feel that they can interpret it in a way that appears to support their unfounded claim.
As far as this Cornovii tribe you speak of in your post I ask you to provide a link that mentions connections to satanic rites, or sacrifices because I am finding nothing in my searches.
i would suggest you read before making a statement that satanist do not summon demons and other entities from the web site (Invocation is the main technique of summoning demons used by satanists and demonolators. Before discussing details, let’s see what invocation is and how does it differs from evocation.)
http://zalbarath666.wordpress.com/satanic-magick/summoning-demons-invocation/
I'll look into that, but you have yet to provide a source for your statement about the Cornllii (sp)
That is an example of Theistic Satanism, and as far as I am concerned it is nothing but mental smoke, and mirrors.
Besides, summoning demons (weather or not one accepts it as plausible) for no other purpose then to have them run around spooking people is just impractical, and rather pathetic for anyone who deems themselves to be Worshipers of Satan.
So we now agree that they do suimmon demons and other entities, in regard to the Cornovii tribe (people of the horn) there is little known about them except that they came from Cannock Chase in the north of the United Kingdom, there was mention of many tribes in that region and often dark rituals were practised on the moors there
They may fancy themselves to summon demons but hay even adults still play make believe (they just act more seriously about it.)
Here's an excerpt from an interview with an Atheistic Satanist.
"Theistic Satanism ('devil worship')
Cquote1.svg My real feeling is that anybody who believes in supernatural entities on some level is insane. Whether they believe in The Devil or God, they are abdicating reason. Cquote2.svg
David Shankbone: What is your relationship to Theistic Satanists?
Peter H. Gilmore: We don’t think they are Satanists. They are devil worshipers, as far as I’m concerned.
DS: There is one in New York who does a lot of websites.
PG: Diane Vera? She’s a kook.
DS: She’s also an editor on Wikipedia. I contacted her, but I never received a response.
PG: My real feeling is that anybody who believes in supernatural entities on some level is insane. Whether they believe in The Devil or God, they are abdicating reason. If they really believe they are in communication with some sort of interventionist deity…you know, somebody can be a deist and think that maybe there was some sort of force that launched everything and now has nothing to do with it. That’s not anything you can prove. It’s also not a matter of faith. It’s a matter of making a choice between whether there was something or there wasn’t. I think maybe that is the most rational decision. I think science makes it look otherwise, but I don’t think somebody like that is mad. But anybody who believes in some kind of existence in deity or spirits or anything that intervenes in their life is not somebody I hold in any kind of esteem.
DS: Have you had much interaction with the theistic Satanists?
PG: No, I just have complete contempt for them and have no contact with them at all. If anybody does contact me and say they are a theistic Satanist we tell them to take a hike. [Laughs]. "
You still have not provided a source to indicate that "dark craft" was practiced in the moors, or by any tribe in the moors.
(back ground effect)
DUN DUN DUNnnn... to be continued in the 4th dimension.. in another space and time..
sorry,, but to agree to disagree is at best here..
everyone has their own idea's and opinions.. EVEN SCIENCE.. which I happen to like.. so there again wrong answer dude..
the subject now is boring and well its ruined with all your geekness.. and fact leeching. Yea yea, facts are good and WE WANT UM.. but the facts are many .. get over just yours, and perhaps listen to all..
don't demand anything.. you will never get that.. :)
Back to the BEK's, I read all three links. They made it look like an Urban Legend. The woman who supposedly let them in, well, I think she was off her meds. Personally I think it is all silly, but it is fun to read and speculate about. If kids knock on my door, unless its Halloween, you can be sure I won't open it, just in case!
@ Tzaddi..
Thank you.. *smiles*.. I also agree with what you have said.. she very well could have been off her meds, *who knows?*.. I personally have never had any dealings with BEK's. and I hope not to ever...
and I merely said, anything is possible in the 4th dimension, and got blasted for it.. but Like you, i too wont open my door.. lol just in case..
*winx*
Lox
There has been much said and speculation on these kids, are they real who knows but it makes good reading and as loxxy quite rightly said, a lot goes on in the 4th dimension after all it is time and space which brings about the paranormal.
If there have been so many sightings then were are the phone photes? Every phone has a cam on it nowdaysd so there is no excuse why at least ten people. out of the thousand alledged sightings had to have time, and thought to film them.
OK on this I looked up and such and Dang,
im gonna have nightmares for the rest of my life..
I like horror things but this creeps me the most,
I wonder now and will look in childern's eyes. from now on
shiversssssssssssssssssssss omg
Great post, Oceanne!
I've never heard of these kids, but this terrified me to the point that my eyes started to water as I was reading. I hope I never encounter something like this.
I`ve encountered People who`s eyes Change Color depending on their mood or emotional state.Like for example if I get excited,my eyes get golden flecks in them,if I get angry they darken and if I`m really attracted to someone then they turn blueish green.
But as far as black eyed children go,it seems like it`s a rip-off of The Omen.
Now that I've done more research on the subject, I have come to the conclusion that is the work of someone's imagination. It's somewhat proposterous really. Kind of reminds me of the story about the "reptilians". The conspiracy theories are ztarting to get a little out of hand if you ask me.
