This is something which has interested me for a long time, yet i've never known much about the subject. For example, what spells are good, bad, successful, other stuff like Wicca, or rituals, et cetera.
I was just wondering if any of you are involved in any of these, if I could know a bit more?
Another thing, ouiji boards, are they actually as troublesome as they are made out to be?
I'd be interested to hear any tales you have to offer.
x
Ouija baord are extremly dangerous, extremly becareful hun they are a hazzardous, be very careful sweety. I know that for a fact and saw it first hand they are dangerous. As for the rest contact MarkusBlack, he is well aware of this kind of stuff and also 696deathangel696 is a Wicca. Good luck.
I am a witch. I practice spells and am of the Wiccan religion. If you want to know more about spell craft you might want to look at Amber Ks books to begin with and Scott Cunningham. If you want a bigger look you can try Buckland's but I myself only put into practice very little of what he says, but it does give you a broader view of what some covens practice. As for the Ouija board, well i've found with it is that if you're not careful it can let in things that you might not want to deal with. I prefer using Tarot cards rather than the Ouija. If you want to know more, you can message me.
Wow...I never knew Ouija boards were that bad.... Thanks... I am unfamiliar with magick and I was wondering the same thing!! Great post!!!
The Ouija board lets in a lot of very unwanted, dangerous entities. My friends messed with it one night last year on All Hallow's Eve. They thought is would be a great thrill to see what would happen. They got something to happen all right. Let's just say that they will never use it again, as that being was very forceful and disturbing. I think many will agree that it is very very dangerous to use a Ouija, and I would caution you not to use one, because of the consequences. Keep that in mind if you decide you want to do like my friends.
I agree on the ouija board matter. The reason it is dangerous is that the channel is too wide, and you do not have any control on what enters. Also, sprits like to lie, so they can act friendly in order to confuse you. It is slightly similar to EVP, electonic voice phenomenon, or white noise, where you also have a wide channel, so my word of advice, leave ouijaboards alone.
That's lucky you mentioned that, I was all up for testing one with my friends.. at Halloween.. In a graveyard. I won't now though. I won't risk it, thanks.
What about things like, tarot cards, or spells, for anything? Know anythig of them?
And also pendulums. I have one myself but have not been able to put it in to proper practise. Any advice?
I know that people have problems with the ouija board, but i have never had any...ive done them in the grave yard..everywhere...i find them fascinating. But i will never take them seriously...well maybe untill its to late!!; )
If you are afraid to do one, then tarot would be a good start.I have been doing tarot for many years now.As for spells there are many you can find on peoples portfolios...you can change then to what best suits you.
first and foremost i suggest that you gather knowledge before being able to practice spellcasting.. there are different tradtions, each with its rules.. i suggest that first you try to embed yourself into a tradtion before trying spellcasting...
I myself am wiccan. i have been studyong long before i began spellcasting as it is a very serious matter and it really works....
ouija board are dangerous espcially if you are inexpierenced...... you will sttract hostile spirits in it
Spells appear in all varieties, and some are harder than others. Pells is not only about chanting silly words and waving wands. If spells are done wrong or without caution, the can backfire, and the results can be disasterous...
Tarot cards in read and use is very individual, and have certain rules.
I never read tarot cards after midnight my time. I did once and it did not end up well.
You must buy a new pair of tarots that are yours, and you are the only one that can and must use them.
If you want to try contacting spirits, try automatic writing. that way only one spirit can enter, but then again, inexperience and lack of strength to get them out again can also have heavy consequenses.
My friend is an automatic writer by nature, and I have tagged along with her on numerous occations as a saftey ventil.
With everything, it is the person behind the action. Not so much the act, or ritual itself. So take note of your actions, and what you personally seek. If you harm others, it will come back at you. Don't always take stock in one persons ideas, or thoughts. Witchcraft, magikal workings should be a personal thing.
Yes indeed, so I will not recomend it. in spells, you have to be 100% sure, and you must have no regrets whatsoever, because once a spel is cast, it cannot be reversed.
There is really no such thing as a "good spell", just the power and intent of the person who casts the spell. as for Ouija boards... they really aren't the danger everyone thinks they are - biggest danger you and your friends would probably face is spooking yourselves and tripping over a gravestone while running away. Still, if there's no one in the group who can do a basic banishing or protection spell, then you might as well play it safe.
Always make sure you are know what you are doing first, make sure you do the proper protection and banishing spells. Spells work best when they feel right to you.
I'd be interested in learning about the origins of the Ouija board.
Personally I feel that spells shouldn't be taken lightly. I have been a witch for 8 years and have done very few spells. I feel there needs to be a major reason to actually do a spell. Before doing one, do research. DON'T do spells that someone else just hands you. Spells will be more powerful if you put the energy of putting work into it. Make it your own. Make sure that you have exhausted all mundane ways of getting results. Most books will tell you the same thing. Amber K and Scott Cunningham are both great authors. I would definitely go with them.
Ouija Boards - I think they shouldn't be taken lightly (Sorry Theban). Especially on All Hallows Eve. Not necessarily because ouija boards are extremely powerful but because on that night, the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest and some spirits are just waiting for an invitation to cross, asked or not. I have done a ouija board once, when I was much younger and I know they work. Would I use one now, no. I don't feel the need to. If I need something, I use my Tarot or meditate/trance.
More info on Ouija Boards (don't know how reliable but there ya go)
Ouija board
A Ouija board is used in divination and spiritualism. The board usually has the letters of the alphabet inscribed on it, along with words such as 'yes,' 'no,' 'good-bye' and 'maybe.' A planchette (a slidable 3-legged device) or pointer of some sort is manipulated by those using the board. The users ask the board a question and together or one of them singly moves the pointer or the board until a letter is "selected" by the pointer. The selections "spell" out an answer to the question asked.
Some users believe that paranormal or supernatural forces are at work in spelling out Ouija board answers. Skeptics believe that those using the board either consciously or unconsciously select what is read. To prove this, simply try it blindfolded for some time, having an innocent bystander take notes on what letters are selected. Usually, the result will be unintelligible non-sense.
The movement of the planchette is not due to paranormal forces but to unnoticeable movements by those controlling the pointer, known as the ideomotor effect. The same kind of unnoticeable movement is at work in dowsing.
The Ouija board was first introduced to the American public in 1890 as a parlor game sold in novelty shops.
E.C. Reiche, Elijah Bond, and Charles Kennard ... created an all new alphanumeric design. They spread the letters of the alphabet in twin arcs across the middle of the board. Below the letters were the numbers one to ten. In the corners were "YES" and "NO."
Kennard called the new board Ouija (pronounced 'wE-ja) after the Egyptian word for good luck. Ouija is not really Egyptian for good luck, but since the board reportedly told him it was during a session, the name stuck.*
Kennard lost his company and it was taken over by his former foreman, William Fuld, in 1892.
One of William Fuld's first public relations gimmicks, as master of his new company, was to reinvent the history of the Ouija board. He said that he himself had invented the board and that the name Ouija was a fusion of the French word "oui" for yes, and the German "ja" for yes.*
Although Ouija boards are usually sold in the novelty or game section of stores, many people swear that there is something occult about them. For example, Susy Smith in Confessions of a Psychic (1971) claims that using a Ouija board caused her to become mentally disturbed. In Thirty Years Among the Dead (1924), American psychiatrist Dr. Carl Wickland claims that using the Ouija board "resulted in such wild insanity that commitment to asylums was necessitated." Is this what happens when amateurs try to dabble in the occult? Maybe, if they are suggestible, not very skeptical and a bit disturbed to begin with. However, even very intelligent people who have not gone insane are impressed by Ouija board sessions. They find it difficult to explain the "communication" as the ideomotor effect reflecting unconscious thoughts. One reason they find such an explanation difficult to accept is that the "communications" are sometimes very vile and unpleasant. It is more psychologically pleasing to attribute vile pronouncements to evil spirits than to admit that one among you is harboring vile thoughts. Also, some of the "communications" express fears rather than wishes, such as the fear of death, and such notions can have a very visible and significant effect on some people.
Observing powerful messages and the powerful effect of messages on impressionable people can be impressive. Yet, as experiences with facilitated communication have shown, decent people often harbor indecent thoughts of which they are unaware. And the fact that a person takes a "communication" seriously enough to have it significantly interfere with the enjoyment of life might be a sufficient reason for avoiding the Ouija board as being more than a "harmless bit of entertainment," but it is hardly a sufficient reason for concluding that the messages issue from anything but our own minds.
all i know is those damn bords are baaad news dont play with them ...
I perform satanic rituals and have seen them work. Go to www.churchofsatan.com
as to spells.....it's my belief that the spell itself is less important than the intent.....focussed will, filtered through intent, and set into form by the ritual act or spell, the spell is mostly a binder to focus your mind on as what you wish to occur, as you harness your internal will and then apply it to the idea of the working
as to ouija....
most ppl say the are bad.....few say why
the simplest analogy is that of the party line
a ouija board is like an open ended telephone....you sit there talking.....but you never know who/what you are talking to, and sorry to say....but asking something what its name is is not very effective without some manner of protections
yes Ouija are bad, and as for spells well, you just need to find your own and become familar with ones that work or dont, and in time u will be albe to come up with spells that, spells arent for me, my presences has been around before them
Bad spells are those who harm others unfairlly. Good spells are ones that help the world. And a spell should work if you get it right.
oh and another thing, dont try love spells, those have been forbidden for a while :)
I love you. Damn spell.
Well I was going to bring up the nervous energy topic for the board.
Once a letter is selected randomly, the rest of the hands vibrate towards the next logical letter, and a word is formed. Dyslexics would be bad at Ouji boards as well as the blind mentioned.
However, even though it is a parlour trick, it can open pandoras box. Entities in the backs of your head can take it over. No such thing as doing a board thing on Jim Morrison's tomb in Pari is going to get a snake to crawl from out of his grave.
But if you believe in the supernatural amd empower it, it can change your life to living with new fear.
i once took a walk with some hot girls up the end of a dead end street, we had a flashlight for some reason, and one of the cute ones I dated, she took the flashlight and put it up to her face, and then pointed it at the dead end sign. She said something about DEAD END, and I mean, shoot, every time I see a dead end sign I think of her being all scary twenty years back.
That is how fear can take over the mind. A ouji board mau be a cul de sac, a path to nowhere. I don't believe in contacting the dead, as I spoke about Houdini giving his mother an answer to a question before she died, and then when she died he went to crystal ball readers and ouji boards and they never were able to get the right answer from out of his dead mother.
But if you believe in something then it can do you harm, especially if you have strong faith in evil.
PS - "cul de sac" is french for dead end
Yes,maybe i was not very forthcoming in my earlier post,I should of said that a protection spell is done before hand, and a banishing one after,as a matter of course.I do not mean to be disrespectful when i say that i,and other people who i know, who do the board dont take it seriously.I say this because nothing bad has ever happened to us/them.Only because i/they are carefull not to make any mistakes. But as i have said the board for me is more of a fun thing. As for spells well i try and make my own ones as i do all my tools...this is because your essence i beleive as many others do,will help the strength and power in them.*think that i have mentioned this earlier,in another thread*
Ravenwytch, that was really a interesting read,i have noticed with the board that if you cannot see the letters then most, and i say most of the time you get muddled words...
Vamp...i have to put this as i found what you had put about the dyslexics doing the board that it would be bad*for spelling reasons*....funnything how some of the time if you do get anything coming through the spellings not really good...does this mean that we are all dyslexics who do the board? : )...just a thought!
meditation is the key to greater power in wicca... rember wicca draws power from the moon, fire, water, earth, air and youself
Well, that would depend on the practitioner. Certain people are good at certain types of spells and magick. Personally, I'm naturally better at Black Magick than I am a White. (Black=bad White=good) Though as a Wiccan, I draw my energies from the elements, Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit along with the Moon, Sun, Earth, and other people.
Do not us a ouija board! They are dangerous in many ways, one being that they have too wide a chanel, meaning when you us one, you pick up all sorts of nasty things, not just spirits, but even demons.
-Lord P. Shadowloo
yes there are spells that work!....one time i was in a bar and saw this beautiful girl i went up to her and said the usual hello thingy.......i could tell she was not interested in me .....so i put the yeagerbomb spell on her and bought drinks for her all night......i then had a hard time getting rid of her when i found out she was a drunk /lush.....lol....no more magick for me!......lol!
Ouji boards can be either good or bad. You can be talking to ANYTHING through that board - good or dark. NEVER trust anything the spirit says and DON"T do anything it tells you to do. some spirits lie about who they are just so they can get through the portal and come through to the mortal realms, and some spirits can be VERY dangerous. i suggest that if you want to use a Ouji board, you need to take some precautions first - before you start the seance, make a protective circle around the area with some salt (you can learn how to do this through almost any beginner's Wicca book). at the start of the seance, only ask to speak to spirits of the Light Realm, and only those who do not wish any harm (even after requesting this, do not trust everything they say because, as i said before, some spirits lie). if you feel anything that upsets you in any way during the seance, get out of there. FAST. you might even want to do a spiritual cleansing of your home afterwards (also can be found in basic Wicca books). and don't EVER start a seance if you feel weak or vulnerable in any way - bad spirits would be more than happy to possess you. if you have any questions, feel free to talk to me.
The thought of using the board has always scared me for some unknown reason, I have know people in the past who have used it and they didn't really know what they were doing so I stayed well away, glad I did, not sure what happened if anything but they have always kinda given me the creeps
Its amazing to me how forum threads are a place where people can post their opinions but anytime someone has a questionable topic, there are a ton of people out there that will TELL you what to do instead of voicing their opinions and backing it up with an intelligent argument.
Spells and magick and ouija boards should be a persons personal choice. They ask questions here to get information, not to be TOLD what to do and made to feel stupid for asking. I feel that if you can't provide intelligent information or an informed opinion then why say anything at all?
be careful the board is of course very bad. And thats bnot the only thing to watch out for. The deeper you get into magick the more lickley you become a liability
i dont know much about the oija board. i have tried it once but notin happened. is there a right or a wrong way to use it?
Hear, hear RavynWitch, I completely agree with you.
If you ask me a question I wil give you my "opinion". It's not gospel and I'm sure someone will try to poke holes in what I have to add. BUT I wouldn't even try to tell someone this is how you MUST believe or not believe. That is why we are given freedom of choice.
Ask questions, gain knowledge and form your own ideas.
People all have different beliefs Im a Ordained Wiccan, Pagan etc... Minister. Its what you make out of it. I have stuff in my journals as well that can explain. I differ from Rayn. But there are many types. Nor good or bad. Bad magic when used comes backs at you 10 times, so i have practiced it but its not preferable.
Visp right on about the Quija Board, I have to agree. People think that the devils out to get you and its just not that way. It a mind over matter thing. If you think something will happen it probably will .. lol
I'm a wiccan and a born witch i do candle magic and different types of spell work.....i do not do things that will hurt or cause harm to anyone i also do no spells for self gratification......all who spoke of the Quija Board are correct......it is VERY dangerous.....some say it is the gateway to hell.....that is best left alone
My feelings about Ouija boards is yes, they can be dangerous, although I've never run into anything bad....I have friends who won't touch a board with a 10 ft pole though! ...me, I'm not afraid....being a witch, not a Wiccan, I feel if anything untoward was conjured up I have enough resources and knowledge to "dispose" of it.....perhaps my lack of fear is foolhardy, but it just doesn't scare me in the least....and my advice to you concerning witchcraft/Wicca is read, read, read ....and network with other like-minded individuals also helps i.e. join a coven or study group etc.
There are resources for all kinds of spell. Some works others not so good.
A spell can be really be bad if your not in knowledge of how to use and precautions to take. You should always be careful with the spell you cast. Never leave a spell unfinished could be bad side effect.
i am totaly new to wiccan i dnt practice but i do study but lately the things on the internet have made me only pay for the study dose anyone have any good web sites were you dnt have to pay to read it?
there is an apparent connection to the board and visual ability....as was said before..true dyslexics and the blind would likely have issues
, the same issues are sometimes experienced by those types trying automatic writing techniques....and some of the same warnings are given....as the concept of automatic writing is essentially a minor posession.
but i agree that there does seem to be a lot of ppl saying DONT DO THIS....when really...they should be saying take adequate precautions if you feel the need to try...but I wouldn't advise it
i was born a witch and im a non wiccan high priest and come from a long line of witches i totaly agree that ouija boards are dangous and should be left alone
im a wiccan and i do play with the witch board it is not a tool if you dont know what your doing.
If you really want to play around with Spirits, use a psychograph, it works the same as an ouja board, but the difference is that you place a pen in it, and then forces the spirit to write instead of just moving around to different letters. it is a way for you to check the writing, and by that, determine if the spirit is male, female, old, young, kid etc. it is still dangerous though.
If you want to play with an ouija board, make sure you do not do so alone. If alone the spirit can manipulate you easier, and to make sure that it is a real spirit, and not your mind playing tricks, here is what you can do, you must be 5 or more. Prep some questions you would like it to answer, then the four of you will use the board, and the fifth will sit outside as the control person. Wait for contact and ask your questions, the control person will check if they are right or wrong, make at least one of them tricky, like what is the third word in the fourth line of page five in Charlots web, or something like that.
Does any one know where i might be able to find a oija board?
If you want to purchase a REAL ouija board, the best is to find a little occult shop, but it is not something I would recommend. Lay off the horror movies and learn from the real people who actually have some experience with these things, it is not a toy.
wow i had no idea ouji boards could be so dangerous. i havent been studying wicca that long but if you have any books to recommend please let me know.
Ive cast the same spell on my self twice.. i dont really know if it worked as the effects are invisable... but it was meant to improve your person aura against evil... and phivamps too... it called appon the 4 elements.
the baords issue i have not and will not touch those things
as for the craft im wiccan i just cant practice very often due to the fact im under age and have parents that dont belive in it so i have to wait till i move out and then i will probly practice close to 5 times a week but idk just have to let time tell
but i do have oracle cards and i have found them to be VERY usefull
ouiji boards are especially dangerous they are pobably the only things that i wouldnt mess with, not only are they dangerous but they bring evil things into your house, evil things that are very hard to get rid of, im still trying to clean my house of them, i wouldnt suggest them to anyone who is trying to get into wicca or actually anything!
I can sometimes change the colour of the stoplight (so I don't have to wait so long). It also happened to me a few times to wish for a certain type of weather (rain, snow, sun...) and get it next day...does that mean that I have magical powers? Because I'm very confused...I don't say any words, just focus and imagine what I want to get...and many times I get it! Also, more and more often, there are loud noises in my bedroom during the night...just like someone is banging on the walls and windows...it's creepy...
I had a girlfriend who was Wiccan. We broke up and I went 7 months without talking to her at all. Then one day I just felt like calling her, and I did, and we started dating again. I later found out that the night before I called her she did a spell to find love.
ouiji boards are open gateways with no predetermined close. Once the gate is open unelss one has knowledge enough to close such things or untill the instilled energy depletes the gate is left open in my experience. I am well studied and practiced in both light and dark arts if it is needed for information there are a few links on my page for enochian and other forms of such things
all we will say is be very cautious if you use a ouija and make sure you know how to close the gate and protect yourself, because there are nasty things that go bump in the night,so be careful, enough said.
Magic should be tailored towards you and it is a very personal experience things that work for me may not work for you,so you have to see what calls out to you and interests you ,but learn from all whether you are intrested or not the more you know the better off you are.
Blessed Be!
putting a spell on yourself, ouch, didn't know that was possible. Did know that some people can do the Ouji board alone, they are the fortune tellers or whatever they are called, I think they probably do it with their eys closed. Yes some people have power. BUt why did someone say it is bad to do it alone? Or are they referring to something else suripitously?
Yes, it opens a door to everything. I guess I would heed that salt circle thingy around the table.
BUt for the person who said to get a real Ouji board out of a curiosoty shop or occult shop, how could there be a real board when the first one was fake. Just because Milton Bradley makes OUji boards, it doesn't mean they make use out of your psy-chic energys, and have these spirirts whatever you contact or think you contact affect your mind peace...
And the psycho-graph writer thing, well, look at the word pyscho in front of that device that writes letters instead of pushing the 3 pronged thing to it, psycho which is oart of psycho path
If you are all afraid of Ouji boards, then I think the psychograph has even more power. In the hands of a good speller.
If you are interested in studying witchcraft or any field of the occult, its advisable to gain and understanding from a practitioner....there are several sub-categories and talkign to someone and understanding what belief system suits you might be a good start.....
As for the ouija board, I think its really a matter of comfort and personal choice....I agree that beings are only waiting to manifest themselves in some manner and this would be a golden opportunity...but then again, most evocations and summonings and powerful spells do the same thing......the key is to research whatever you do completely, understand the rules, dos and donts....and then decide whether you want to go ahead with it or not......another piece of advise, in case you want to go ahead is that you should work with someone who is like minded and strnog.....it would be disasterous for one of you to get scared and take their hand off the board, leaving the other in the lurch.....I have tried it years ago...now have lost interest...it worked well with my sister but I didn't trust working with anyone else...
ouila boards are ok for asking pidly little questions but not for matters of great inportanst for that willl anger the spirits
I myself do not mess with them at all. But I do beleive in freedom of choice and all that I would suggest is do a lot of research first, have an experienced person to be your guide and then make up your own mind.
personally, unless you're taught to do spells properly, i wouldn't play with them, i find that its true what the saying goes 'whatever you give out comes back times three'
and as for ouiji boards, they can be fun, tearful, fulfilling, relieving etc etc, my advise is unless you know how to close them properly, don't use them lightly, you don't want a melevolant spirit in your home, i've only made that mistake once, and I've only ever done it when I've had someone to close it properly with me. Its quite scary when a ouiji board goes wrong.
thats only my advise, whatever you do, just please be careful.
Oooo...ouija bad...unless you got some nice wards set up before you "play"
I hate to use the words 'good, and bad' because everyone has a different opinion of what is good, bad, right, wrong. Any spells depend upon what you are intending to do. They are only successfull if you truely believe without any doubt in your mind that they will work.
As for ouiji board well, they don't always have to be bad. i have had some good outcomes before. but you need to know what your doing because they are dangerous.
I agree with mixed blood. There is no actual good or bad spell, only the intent of the spell. Now as for it working, it takes wording, concentration and a belief in what you are attempting to do.
Now, as for a ouji board. They can be very dangerous in the hands of the wrong person. They are designed to attract spirits, and nine times out of ten, its a vengefull spirit. Be very very very carefull if ever messing with one. It takes someone of a powerful aura to control one.
when most ppl think of a ritual, you think of ppl dancing around a fire w/ joy or burning someone as sacrifice or something...
but what a ritual really is is just a repeatment of somehting....like every morning you wake up, lets say you take a shower, walk your dog, eat a waffle, and then go to work.
thta would be your person everyday ritual.
and as far as magick goes, a ritual can be like a ceremony, or it can be just you.
you dont have to have a ritual to conjure a spell.
witches arent evil or bad, and they are not just females. warlocks (spelling?) are what you would say is a bad witch. warlocks are male and female as well as witches.
magick is not good or bad, it depends on how it is used, it is more like an animal...sometimes the owner used the animal to save someone or to help, and another owner may use the animal to hurt someone or to do a bad deed.
and the main reason why a spell will reverse or why it may not work when you want it to is because the magickal realm is like a highway, like a big database.
sometimes your magick for your spell will get stuck in trafic, so it may not manifest exactly when you expect. you should always give a time for your magick to ocurr, or give it a deadline to manifest, like setting a time for a party. lol.
and wicca, many say that it is an ancient religion, however it isnt.
it is a newer religion, but it is based and was created from the ancient beliefs, more than one ancient belief.
that is why there are different pantheons that you can choose and deities as well.
wicca was created at around the 70s
and it is well structured too.
you have the basic wicca, which believes in the traditional ALL (the combination of God and Goddess).
and then you have the more sanctified belief such as the Egyptian pantheon or the Native American pantheon.
its like a lot of threads put together to make a jacket.
According to Wicca, self serving spells are bad, one's for the greater good, are good.
As for spells that work, they all do, if you believe in what you are doing.
Oh, and as for Ouija boards....Cast a protective spell beforehand and they are relatively safe.
But the board is a portal first and foremost. It should always be handled with caution. Sometimes inhuman entites may come fourth, and so may murderers or vengeful demons and spirits along with the good. The purpose in casting a protection spell is to keep them from being released into your home, area, etc.
Never burn a Ouija board.
ok the only thing about ouiji boards is that they are too far out .... what i mean is that if you are looking for something in particular, the reach of the board is so spread out that sometimes its not acurate
another thing is that i was into spells and witchcraft when i was younger...hoping to enhance my special abilities
sometimes they work sometimes they dont
it helps if there is some nature involved in your casting so that it can be strong and will work better then just using bowls and words
my first quiji board experience was bad lets just say that was a bad mess to clean up lol
ive never used a oiji board, and i dont do spells often, and if i did one, it would be to kill my stepmom...which would be great for the whole world.
lol
jk
the only spells i do are simple ones, im more into the nature and all...
i want to get a cat, but my stepmom wont let me. she thinks that it will "spray" and that it will claw everything. but, it would be my cat not hers, i would take care of it, not her, and i would pay for it to be neutered and for it to be declawed, although i think that its not good to do that...lol
I've been studying Wicca for about 10 years now, still not an authority or anything but as to good/bad that depends on your intent, doing harm with a spell is no better than shooting them with a gun, it's still bad.
I agree to learn start with Amber K and Scott Cunningham, they have a way of writing that is less confusing for beginners than some of the others, for young practioners I like some of Silver Ravenworths early works.
Your own Tarot cards are a good way to start and won't break your wallet.
I like witchvox.com as a website for picking up information.
The very best thing to do is to learn, from books, websites, older practioners (if you can find one you trust), but most especially listen to your inner voice when you are learning or planning a spell. If it doesn't feel right, find out why before continuing. Just my opinion but better safe than sorry later.
Nightgame is right..the best you can do is read, read, read.
As for the ouija board....I only had one experience and it was many years ago...but I don't remember it being pleasant...
spells and magic is neither good nor bad its all on how they are used
Ouija boards are better left alone. They either will not work at all or they will open an uncloseable door.
As far as spellcasting...NEVER AND I REAPEAT NEVER cast unless you are fully aware of the ramifications of doing so. Learn as much as possible and always remember the law of three...whatever you send out, you WILL get back threefold.
keep away from the ouijia boards dear, nothing but trouble. Now if I may suggest some readings, check out Silver Ravenwolf's books. She's know's what's she's talking about. I've been a wiccan for the past 13 years, and sometimes its a basis of trial and error when it comes to spells and creating them. It just takes time to get the hand of it. Feel free to ask if you want to know more... Blessed be...
DONT EVER!!!!EVER USE QUIJAI BOARD TIS TERRIBLE THINGS HAPPEN o_O
I agree on the ouija board matter.
It is very very dangerous. I was in grade 4, two kilometers from my house, teens played with an ouija board. Nothing happened to them, they thought they could not get it to work.
A few days later, the teen girl's 9 year old sister was taken over by spirits. She burned the house down with the entire family in it.
The whole house has had an aura of evil and fear since. I ended up taking the long way to school and back every day.
My family has been involved with the practice of Wicca since the 1800's. I know much about the subject if you are truley sure that it is something that you could devite yourself to. Witch craft is more then just believing in it. You have to totally put your trust and faith into it also. Feel it in your heart, your body, and most impotanty, your soul. You may email me at jesica_ga_peach@yahoo.com and I will definitely help you to see if this is your true path or not.
Ouija boards. One thing: just stay away from them. They're useful when their enclosed inside the box and never opened.
I too am fairly new to the spells. I'm still learning..
Although the boards on the other hand are different.. I have only seen bad come from the board.. No good can come from it, even if you think it's just a harmless game!!
I have never gotten a response from a Ouija board. Not even jibberish. I don't know if I'm weird or getting the silent treatment from beyond or what. Does anyone know why that might be?
the thing with spells and ritualls...is what kind of power you are using (( nature, white, or dark ))
the other thing is how much of the power you are putting into the craft to make it work
but the thing about ouji boards is that you dont get a clear reading because it is such a large reach... and most of the time it wont work... but personally...there is only one place that is controlling the piece on the board... and thats all the way down
Everything that has to do with the unknown is scarry...
Personally I like Tarot cards, andthe runes..they are safe, but all of that can be dangerous if you let it be dangerous. I thought about spells but couldn't do it...too afraid...
Ouija board...never used one...did not even know it was so powerfull..
Interesting thread!
