My Darkest Greetings ,,
Do you have to drink blood from someone with the same blood group as you??

it doesn't really matter what type you drink. some say the blood varies in taste between types, but it's all good to me!
No, because it's not going into your blood vessels. It's going into your stomach. If it mattered what blood types it was then certain cows would be indigestible by type AB people.
no i've never even considered cheking type it's cleanliness that mostly concerns me...
No you do not, it's not like getting a blood transfusing. It isnt mixing with your blood it's being digested & stomach acids are destroying it. Now of course that is not stoping you from getting a disease because a disease gets into your body and attacks all cells.
Yeah, by the time the blood is ingested, it has been broken down so it wouldn't matter what type it was.
Only transfusions are where it matters the blood type
well it all depends if you like the taste of the other blood types..
it doesnt really matter. like they said, its in your stomache. and like someone else said, the only way types would matter is if you prefere a different taste.
I think the question has been addressed sufficiently. No replay value here.
You dn't have to drink the blood type as yourself because your blood is just yours. Bloos type i only an aspect in a medical emergency or whe giving blood so don't worry. Whereever you heard this from was a lie.
no, mainly because air kills blood cells and once its outside the body its different, blood is blood, if your going to drink it, it all tastes the same, mabey a bit more coppery or salty now and then.
I would think a person might get used to the taste of a particular type only from getting blood from the same donor on a regular basis. I wouldn't know if it is the blood type that you get used to or the actual individuals blood. I don't think though you would have to drink the same blood type.
Not at all and like others have said, it is not going into your circulatory system and the only time it would cause any problems is if you had ulcers or some other open sore iin your stomach but even then, you would have to consume a large quantity for it to have any effect and you will vomit from that amount. It is hard to say how much will make you vomit because different sources say different amounts. It is more or less trial and error for your system to find its limit, but you will build a "tolerence" over time and be able to consume more. Hope this helps in clarifying for you. Carpe Noctem
Doesn't make a difference. I think this thread has outplayed itself.
I would have to say no. I dont see why it would have to be the same blood type since you are ingesting it...
As far as I know from my friends who are sanguines...the answer is no. Like others have said its being injested and not transfused. Which is funny considering how many people get transfusions. My understanding to truly be affective it needs to be fresh because the energy disappates that is wanted even if stored correctly. Other constituents stay but if not properly stored blood will spoil.
No. It makes no differance whatsoever. Blood type only applies to transfusions.
Me And My Wife Both Are o positive And We Drink Each Others Blood All The Time.
There are no ill effects from this at all.
We are the universal blood type.
this is a very good question to have asked. because you are injesting it and it in not being transfused there should not be a problem.
Same blood types are meant for medical standards...what you consume can only affect you by what a person may have (an illness if any)
My Greetings Everyone
The feed back on this topic has inlighting me a great deal and gave me great insight

nope, different types will taste diffferent so it is basicly just a personal prefference.
Ah my sweet beautiful princess, as you know i have many donors, and none of these are of the same blood type as me, the important thing is that there blood is regularly checked, and as has been stated before different blood types taste different from each other.
You can drink any blood type you so choose...I prefer O neg
you should drink any time but be carful who it is ur drinkin from
no...you are feeding.....be careful with this...know whom you are drinking from.
the aging, type, and health conditioning of the blood generates the differing tastes
I wouldnt think it would matter as long as it doesnt get in your own bloodstream
I had been rather intrigued by this question, myself, as a reference for my comics. Atleast now I can focus "bad blood" as blood that's diseased, and not just the wrong type. ¬_¬
A little sarcasm....Let us say you do have to. Would that mean a creature of the night walking the streets and spottin some unwilling victim would then have to pull out their blood testing kit before chomping? Do a little homework........
I have looked into this and can't seem to find a whole lot out but from what I have found once the blood enters the digestive tract the acids there break it down so there is no diffrence
*grinning here* ummm that doesn't even make sense hun.Not making fun of you, but think about it.It's not going in a vein so typing would not matter.
Everything I've heard says that blood is not broken down. It can't be digested.
No, but it doesn't hurt to have the donor take a little cherry beforehand. For the vampires pleasure only.
