As I understand some people awaken inside with dreams and flashes of a past life or love, myself being one.
What caused yours to start and what are they of the dreams and flashes?

The sense of Reincarnation is triggered by DeJa Vu, as well as familiarity to places and people. Dreams are triggered by this as well as the reality for when you are awake. Even emotions and thoughts that are similar from another life can trigger these, as well as situations. A vast of people that you will meet is b/c you met them before in another life hence comfort zone. So that's my two cents on the subject.

Wow that Deja Vu thing was great and i think I can agree on that. Mine were triggered from a guy I knew yrs ago and he wasn't able to keep in touch by phone. So we just wrote and he was like my dreammaster. He new things I didn't even know from my own dreams or about myself until he helped me through it. wierd but we both had the same dream him for yrs me for mnths we're still friends to this day

I believe mine was when I started seeing other places I felt at home with. Also the fact that I seen my past self! The path I journey is not completed so I still do not know everything but hopefully one day all will be revealed to me about my self.

It is interesting, I also think it has to do with the location that your in, not so much the deja vu, More of you know, instead of the familiarity,

Actually... to tell you the truth... Deja-vu is annoying. I get it all the time. Maybe its because I like to walk around... also I move around alot. that could trigger it. But I get the feelings all the time. and the dreams I get are always my point of view... I never see my face! In my moms religion they believe that I was in their religion in my past life... and I was sum tanned guy... right now im a white woman.. jus so u all know!! It seems to me I am carrying out what I did in my past life... but i unno. These religion ppls of my mom said I was supposed to be crowned.. which is come higher level thing.. and I came back to do it. But I dont believe in their religion...so I guess thats not my calling! haha!! I dont know. Maybe ther jus feelings like you have seen the place before.. it might not be from past life!! Or familiar smells. I can small when sommer has come!

I would like to find out what I was in my past life. The only way I know of is visiting a psychologist.

After I turned 16 back in March, I started getting images in my sleep of past lives... I read on a vampire website that people who are vampires before they turn 16 will have a "second awakening" of sorts. I have been a vampire my whole life, and when I turned 16, sure enough. That was my awakening experience.

I get images and feelings that I know I have never really witnessed in this life. I attempted to talk to my old Mentor about it, and he helped me to control them a bit and learn from them.

I completely believe in reincarnation and past lives. I have never delved into my past, but my fiance has, and believes at one time he was a very attractive redhead. I feel a very strong pull towards old-fashioned ways, and I belive that I may have been Amish or possibly a Native American. Reincarnation is found in so many faiths and spans so many time periods that I believe it must be founded in some truth.

So many have said it, but I like to put in my own 2 cents worth...
Something happens, in this life to trigger the memory from the other... Anything could do it, a color, a song... words mostly....
Any of these things can cause a memory to return...

I don't remember any of my dreams so I'm not sure about any past life experiences. I guess that they could have been bad and thats why I don't remember them.

It is said that Deja Vu is actually one experiencing time having looped back on itself.

Sometimes, and this has happened to me on many occasions. Some of the people you have contact with will also trigger past life regression. I have found that some of my closest friends i hold dear to me, we had all discovered we have lived past lives together and find each other each time we are reborn. I have a story I'll post in my journal on this.

I forgot to add that mine started back in 1995.

i believe that they can be caused from one having events in the current life in the now..that one had similar events in the past also i think that one has a inner awakening when developing and growing with age and experience.

Yes I know that feeling, I spent a while looking and finding such people and becoming part of there lives.
Sometimes I realize no link to the past no shadow memories jogged into my head no flood gates to answer I need.
Then on the odd time I have found people just like me with same feelings and questions, a past leaking through to the conscious mind. I even met a soul mate that way.

There were a number of dividing forces that have kept us apart.
I was involved in a less than safe environment then of running a night club in the 90’s drugs n death became common, I slept with a woman the day before I met my love and 3 months latter she told us she was having my baby, and the baby was born on her birthday, this I felt another nail in the coffin as every time she has a birthday she is reminded our love is less than simple and being eroded by life… my life.
I broke up with my soul mate so as to protect her as pointed out by some “business” men she was my Achilles heel and just a matter of time til someone gets to her or me through her and they wont except that risk.
She went to work in some Arab country teaching, I went to see her but they were intolerant of my need to party and drink, I got frustrated with the situation and proceeded to annoy the hell out of the locals, this lead to an arrest and a beating from the police, I gave as good as I got … and was banned from entering there soil again.
We then had a secret love for 9 years, then came my x wife and decided to settle down, leave the underground life and hide in Canada… only joking im not hiding.
Im torn about looking for Nicky again, she wont be happy I married and left her… she might be married herself … I don’t think I have the right to have treated her that way to infect her life again.

Wow.... If I didn't want to post about my own stuff I would just post the comment to everyone elses stuff..... Anyway I have a book called Discovering Past Lives.... I can't remember the Author... I would look it up but it's in storage... the point is that through meditation you can tap into your past life or lives. You can't force the issue it will just come to you... I've been working on this and have yet to break through to a full visual of things but I do get them in my dreams and when I go certain places.... Like when I went to Ireland in highschool.... that was my very first experience and it was creepy to say the least.... since then I've tried to learn from what I'm shown and use that when I meditate so that maybe one of these days I will be able to make full sense of everything....

I do believe in past lives..in a way. My belief is too intricate to fully describe here. I also think that some daja vu is related. The kind that just feels familiar. But when it seems that time has repeated itself, I think that is a whole other thing.

Yes I really think people can have a past life, because it can appear in dreams, like in past events, that happened in your past life. You can feel yourself in the dream as a different person with the same soul, but in a different period of time back in history.

recalling all of my past was not triggered by anything in specific, but now that i am older and i am into putting myself into deepstates of trance and working alot with healing and energy balancing, i guess everything opens up. and i guess sometimes we remember maybe because we were ready to remember. some people arent. information in those past revelations can be so heavy sometimes......

I dont know if I had a past life. I havent dremt of any. Although I feel as if maybe if I did have a life before this one that I drowned in a ship wreck and I was alittle more well off in my past life then I am now.(as in richer)

I think I have dreams of what might be my past life. Things like being inbetween somewhere and sometimes bloody things???

I think the dreams of a pastlife come so easily to me because I meditate. Don't get me wrong. I don't do it because I want to. I used to have panic attacks and I was just...bleh and so my counciler and I (and my parents) found that when I meditate, it leaves me with a clear head at the end of the day.

And when things are calm and resolved in my thoughts and there is no chaos....I think that helps the dreams come to me. I have dreams about different faces and the faces I've seen in the dream, I'm pretty sure I haven't met them in my 15 years of living.

Its just weird. Aren't dreams made of memories?

Sometimes I have dreams or memories which don't belong to me, and a feeling of deva vu over comes me, I don't understand it half the time, but I think it may be unforgetful memories of a past life I once had. Also I meet people whom say they know me from somewhere, but I know I have never met them... wierd.

My memoirs of a past life always seemed triggered as a child when ever i visited a place in N.Cornwall named Tintagel, and the accompanying village of Boscastle which homed the old Witches' Museum now swept away in a flood. it may have been from the power in the relics homed in Boscastle which started my dreams and waking flashes. some of these items were from mr Alexander himself.
plus the area itself seems to grip the past for all time awakening powers that should perhaps been kept hidden. In any case It awakened me

Well a little like a detective, you piece it together with the other bits … as for mental mind stuff … nothing more than having a revelation … like trying to remember a song title and suddenly it pops in the head.

I wish I could remember mine. I'll start remembering bits and pieces every so often, and then it'll just stop again all of a sudden for a while.

The first time I had a feeling of past lives was at a Ren Faire. I felt so comfortable with the time and period clothing that it was like dejuvous. I also feel that way when I dress for our vampire games. The game takes place in London 1888. It's like I've been there.

My memories came with the help of others. And with the help of my friend (psychic) I got a flash ...it wasn't fun. Actually, none of my memories are nice. I mean, I remember three of my own "deaths" and nothing else. Not fun, especially being burned alive. And having my best friend being stabbed to death.

Im sure it could just be random bibble babble (or maybe they say it to every sigle customer they get) but, the fact that they all said it, with no prior knowledge of who i was. And with no coaxing from me...i thought it was rather nice.

This is really interestin. I have had dreams that seem like I was there before. I also go to places or see people that l swear I have seen before.

I don't have visions of my past lives, my fears in my human life are based on past life fears. Animal fears.
I have learned that I have been many animals in my past lives...I get these weird deja-vu feelings when looking at this animal...or being in the environment I once lived.
Like a quiet forest...or the ocean, being afraid and facinated by it all at once.

What about a previous life within your existing life? Which for me is my life prior to my motorcycle accident in 1989 When I dream sometimes I am able to remember my previous life before the accident.

What caused it for me was a dream I had when I was a kid. It scared me half to death, that being the start of it. I remember being a sophomor in high school (15 at the time) and everything hit me. The awakening had started. It was accelerated last year, and being 20 now, I am still in that phase. I do have flashes of at least one past life, although I do not remember it at all.

Deja Vu to me is like a reality check for the sould

Déjà vu I thought was realization you have been there before. Normally placed down scientifically to miss fire of the chemicals and reaching your receptors with an echo so even though you haven’t been you believe you have.

Past life … well that is totally different. Being able to show hidden notes and marks or even people now dead. Not even the same ball park lol

I have a couple questions:
I have just recently; maybe within the last couple years; been thinking about who or WHAT I might have been in a past life. I am not familiar with how to know if I had a past life.
My questions are:
1. Do you believe that EVERYONE has a past life?
2. Do you believe that a person can be an animal in a past life?

I don't really recall any certain dream or vision or anything like that, that would make me think that I was someone or something, But, I feel that IF I did have a past life, that maybe I might have been a horse. That may sound crazy, but I have such a love and connection with horses, that maybe that is a sign of me being one at one time or another.

I had past life dreams when I was a child, and of course didn't know what I was seeing then.And then they really burst forth after I was awakened.I gaze in a mirror or just out the window and sort of day-dream and usually I can slip into one.
A lot of my past life visions are usually of one or two people that i know now. Most of my awakener as I believe we have been together several lifetimes.

Never really had them, I have no idea what mine would be to be honest.

Ive had dreams of things i know i wasnt at but some how i feel as if i was, it might be how much history ive read but it could in fact be echos from past lives, i know in some way that parts of humanity seems to live on through the generations, that connect us....but honestly i could just be imagining it all....it seems like i was probably a bad person in a past life, if they exist, cause karma has really screwd me in this particular life

Past lifes can be from any age and yes I agree towns change, personally I don’t get the feeling iv been there before … it’s people I get the feeling about and past events that seem to have stained my mind ….. shadow memories we call them in astral magic.
One makes sure in the astral world you really recognize things around you to stain that in for recall the next day, triggering by smell color , item ……anything.
Also to an untrained mind it’s hard to filter dreams from events in the past……

The very first life i can remember was back in the days of The Bible error...It was wiered I was sitting there talking to my friend and I went into a Daze. Something had triggard that am not sure but I can remember the Vistion Vividly it almost was as if it was Real..I was confused at fist trying to understand what it meant and then I realized that it was possibly my Past life and I started looking into things and found it intrsting..

I honestly can't say that I know I had one but there is a man online that I consider kind of an adopted father who says he believes we were actually father and son in another life. I never asked him exactly what made him believe that just he says he feels it is so.

One of my daughters at the age of 2 made me stop flipping the channels on the t.v. once because she heard something, it was a chinese channel when she heard it she said that was how she talked in her old country when she was a boy. Later I went to a friend and famous psychic and asked him about some of her odd behavior and he had told me it was a crossover from her last life when she was a man in China. I had never told him about her saying she was Chinese in her last life.

Mine never really started. Or they have, but I never remember them. I had one where I was on a world in medieval times...but it was a different world. Kind of like a Narnia feel. And I fought beside Richard the Lionheart except that he actually was a lion. It was amazing and is one of the very few I remember. And I hope I always do.

Mine has not happened as well. Though a lot of the things I have never heard of, seem to be familiar, in that unusually freaky way. I do hope I find who I was before this life...

Mine started when I started asking questions about life, spirituality and myself. I was brought up as a catholic and always asked the dumb questions like how did we all come from just one man and woman and not all be blond and blue eyed? Stupid stuff like that, then I made the decision as a teen to stop following the religion and to seek my own answers mostly of a philosophical kind, which turned spiritual. When I opened the door the dreams and understanding started.

It more took me a long time to believe that my dreams, thoughts and beliefs on my past lives where true. I just always happen to pick up the right book, speak to the right person to give me the kick start I needed to believe in myself. :)

I've had many flashes which were caused by different things. The last was through hypnosis.

I was told by a wise old witch in the CUUPS group in New Orleans that a dream that I was having over and over of being a knight in the Middle Ages was of a past life. She said dreams do not normally reoccur unless you have lived them or will live them in the future.
