My question is...Is your house haunted? If so what makes it that way? What makes you think it is?

For me..I believe my house is haunted because of what is right in front of it. I have a grave yard at the end of my front yard. It's in our field. The headstones date back to the late 1800's and early 1900's. Mind u my dad built my house 17 years ago so nobody has died here but who knows if there was another house on the land before he got it that someone died in and their soul still lingers on the land.

Another thought to ponder on.
If your house isn't that old what about the land? It could have had another house on it before. Or a building that someone did die in. And the essence of that house still be keeping the spirit of the person that haunts the land still be entangled with the house/building. If this confuses anyone let me know and I'll try to explain a lil' better.

Also is there a haunted Church around u anywhere?

I don't think my church is haunted, but once I was in it by myslef and it was incredibly cold, but only near the alter, when I came back a few minutes later the temp was normal

That's strange. I don't like walking around my church at night by myself because it freaks me out. Not because of haunted just because of what it is.

Yes, I believe my house is haunted, I have had to many unexplainable things occur. I beleive it is the ghost of a little girl name Susie, who passed away in here sleep while she was ill with pneumonia. The only reason I know her name is because my granddaughter speaks to and sees' her. I have done research and she is the only Susie who has died in my house.

I have discovered that sometimes it is not that house that is haunted, but someone within it.
No matter where I move, I seem to see, or feel some presence.. Is it the house or me??

You yourself could be haunted by a spirit. Has anyone died that may have had something against you or what not?

I don't think that my local church is haunted, but at noon on Sunday, every Sunday, a gaggle of well dressed people enter. From what I understand they eat bread and drink wine. I am not sure, but I am not certain that they all come back out...

Hmm...Maybe they are spirits who love your church. Or maybe their church once stood there or they could have went to that church and wish to continue going. Or something.

I know why I myself am, I accept it. When you can see what alot of others cant, you tend to attract that kind of attention. No matter how much you dont want to.

Not that I know of. There is only a ghost in my bedroom to protect me against the black magic of the ex-wife of my brother she's terrorise the whole family and an friend of my send her to my bedroom for prtection

i lived in a haunted house my tub bleeds at niight through the cracks of where the gauging is , And then my tv and radio go on and off and i get kitchen utensials thrown at me or cds. I think I have poltergeist activty here what do u think?

i always thought my house was haunted as a little kid, and then i moved around allot, every time i stay in one place for a while things start happening, now i think that spirits/energy, what ever it is it is just attracted to me

The house i live in now i dont believe its haunted..but my grandmothers house which i pretty much grew up in..i believe that house is hauted..its the feeling and the energy i get from the house..and it has a history of death in it...only one person lived in the house before my grandparents and the man hung himself and i feel like i can sense his sadness when im in the room he did it in..

no, mine is not haunted, but if you think your house may be haunted but no one has died there then maybe it is an attachment, a spirit is attached to the land that it's body is located in. Or maybe it is a risidual haunting, like something that repeats itself over and over no matter how severely the change of it's environment.

My house is, I believe it wsa buried on an old indian burial ground and now a bunch of children inhabit my basement.

You can feel the presense of beings all around it there are some old tombs there from the 1800's and the energy within that place is amazing. I often go just to meditate and listen to the whispers there.

I would seriously hate to have kitchen utensils or cds thrown at me. I'd be throwing stuff back at them. And also...I can sometimes feel energies around of hatred but not sure why. And one of you..can't remember the sn..talking about the haunting of the land...that is what I think is happening to my house. My dad got the land but I don't know the history of before.

Well... I have a reason to beleive that my house is haunted, for my grandpaa, was always slaughtering pigs, infronts, in the yard, and short after, my grandmaa, was taking the dead pig bodys in to the house, and further, trying to finish the whole process.

Sometimes in my house, a sharp "squeeeeeK!* would be heard, and all got a scarry idea that a big pig avenger, came to avenge his fallen buddys.... but soon after, we would all know, that, that is a piece of wood, burning, cracking, in the fireplace. Or a dog, chasing a cat...etc

And, anyway, I cant say that my family ever had a tendency for such a superstitions, but as my grandpaa would say; thats all just the pigfull stomach, it is dulling the senses, to much is never good....." He would burp ocasionaly, but all thats just healthy.

We were all so content eating that pig meat, and various other fleshlings, for we knew their spirits do not anger at us, but are happy the way they serve us; chewing their meat with leisure.

Lol. Sorry to laught but that is kinda funny. Never thought of a pig. My dad slaughters pigs as well. He also would kill Chickens. I'm glad I'm not haunted by the one that ran around our yard without a head. lol.

i've never lived in a house that had anything paranormal or strange
but i stayed with friends in a place where they say they witnessed smoky shapes and strange noises
while i was there i heard what sounded like someone coming up the stairs loudly but never saw the apparitions

I also enjoy reading what people have to say. But hearing sounds and not seeing what makes 'em is really weird. I know first hand.

You know...I freak out when I have to go up into my attics alone. I never know what could be lurking. And yes I have 2 attics. One in the hall upstairs and one in the garage. I hate both even though one is empty and the other is full. I always feel like something could be waiting. Considering the lighting is very poor in one and there is no lighting in the other.

I think my garden may be haunted - I have several pets buried, and I always feel another presence at night whenever the windows are open.

I have my pets burried near the woods. So when I used to go near the woods I felt their presence near their graves.

My house is not haunted sadly to say. I have no fear of spirits or ghost and would welcome the company and experience of having them around. I live in a lovely old country estate too that is very old. You would think there would be a ghost or two lurking about but there isn't. Yes, I have been in a haunted house so I am open to the spirit world, you could say. I have heard ghost before and at my mothers funeral as I was near her casket I felt a kiss on my forehead and a whisper that was her voice telling me she will always love me.

I currently live in an Apartment and as far as I know it isn't Haunted and have had no strange events that i've noticed. Back when I lived at my Parents house however there were tons of strange and rather weird things that happened.

The house had been previously owned by 5 Families that I know of, and was Built on Farm Land in 1961. My family had moved in about 1983.

Anyway, as someone who doesn't typically believe in Ghosts I tried to ignore the strange things happening and often chalked it up as any number of possible explanations. The house was always rather drafty and the floors creaked all the time.

A couple of times it seemed like the Walls were breathing, you'd get chills and the hair on the back of your neck would stand up for no reason at all. Several Pets that had lived in the House over the years had all Barked at the Corner of the living room.

Their eyes would be focusing on something but honestly there was nothing there. Family and Friends who would go there would often comment about how odd the house seemed and how they would get weird vibes about it.

I had several dozen experiences None of which I'd like to admit to LOL Pretty much I am a factual Guy, If I can't explain it in a way that is plausible it doesn't exist or did not happen.

So do I believe it's Haunted? YES, by Ghosts ? Not sure, by some other entity or force? Most Definately.

Wow. That's weird. Yea my pets just bark sometimes at nothing as well. But it's always outside. Sometimes they'd take off running and start barking at nothing.

I've heard that Dogs have an ability that we don't to see things we can't see by default. I'm not sure what the theory is based on, if any actual research at all but it would make sense for why they act like they do sometimes.

It is not haunted that I know of. No one else had lived in this house. It was built approx. 30 years ago. The land used to be farmland. I do not know if anything had happened once upon on time on the land, but I have not experienced anything that would make it haunted.

My dad built our house. My mother helped. They are both dead. And I swear I heard his voice coming from the livingroom the other day.

I know mine is there is a male ghost that comes down the stairs and just watches everyone once in a while and has freaked out a few of the guests I have had because they thought there really was a man on my stairs till they were told that it was a ghost not a live person

Well where I used to live we had 2 small cemetary's and 3rd one not but just a fews miles from where I lived. But I never noticed any strange activty or noise's inside my house and the was build in 1963. It burnt down 6 months ago.

I've lived in the same house for almost 12 years, and it is definatly NOT haunted.. however, the house next to mine, where my bestfriend lived is definatly haunted

Well I have lived in the house I currently live in for the past ten year, it seems to be at least 60 - 70 years old, the house it self is cold like people from the past still live here, you feel a change as soon as you walk in from outside. I have not had any contact with any sort of spirit but you can feel their presents.

I've lived in my house for 13 years. It's not as haunted as it used to be. But it's definately still haunted. My dad built it but the land was who knows what before he got it.

You can be haunted by other things than Ghosts. Other beings that lurk in the dark.

my house is haunted. i have ghost, good spirts and bad spirts, and lots of others. but the bad thing about it is that i can see them. but i ahve allways seen ghost and other things ever snice i was little.

For me, I think that it is TOO easy to attribute things to the supernatural. That makes you stop right there in your investigation and chock it up to something beyond human comprehension. It ceases your thought process.

My thoughts continue on beyond the supernatural. I believe you can be haunted by anything. Well not a tree. But you know what I mean. Anything that has lived and walked. Animals and what not.

I think feet need to be planted in maybe... at least both worlds to come to a solid decision. You have to weigh all the sides before knowing.

That's weird that you hear walking in the walls. I've never experienced that. Well I may have once but it sounded as if it was between my room and the bathroom. My closet and the bathroom closet just have a wall in between them. It's kinda weird actually.

My house is haunted. I hear the back door open and close. I hear someone walking down the stairs. This is all when no one else is home. In one room of the house i sometimes will smell smoke, and no one smokes in the house. we also have done some evp's and you can hear the voices very clear

when I first moved into the house that I live in now I would see a filmy vision of a little girl running through our hallway. And sometimes I hear screams coming fom the same area. It spooks me to walk through there.

Sometimes I smell weird smells through our house that nobody else senses. I used to hear footsteps on my stairs all the time. But now they don't happen much.

I'm not sure if the house I'm living in now is haunted. I do see shadows and flashes of light out of the corner of my eyes once in a while.

My son has said he's seen a large black spot on the wall over the bed in the master bedroom. He said is was there one minute and gone when he blinked his eyes. He also said it oozed like a thick substance would do.

I don't sleep in there anymore because I feel very uncomfortable in there even before he told me that.

Yes it does, especially since it's only a 2 bedroom home. But my son no longer lives here and has moved on to bigger and better things, so I do have his room I sleep in. BTW, he had already moved out and was visiting when he saw that. He happened to me passing through the room on the way to the master bathroom to take a shower.

I also do not like this home I'm living in. I'm planning to be rid of it soon and build my own home.

i believe that my house is haunted because things turn on and off by themselves sometimes and i'll set something down and it'll belaying at the oposite end of the table or counter...there used to be a few graves in our backyard and they were dug up before our house was built

yes i know my house is haunted, but everywhere I have ever lived has been so like others here I wonder if it's the houses I have lived or me. I always seem to attract energies. Also like others here you just learn to accept it.

I've learned to accept my hauntings but sometimes I get an uneasy feeling. But also it seems that there is a protective shield around me from evil doers.

The place I live now isn't haunted, but the house I was born in is. It's occupied - as are the other 4 or 5 houses in the row - byt the ghost of a man who died, of all things, in the toilets of the pub at the end of the row! Apparently he had a heart attack in the loo and they found him after they were locking up...gods only knows what he was doing in there...he must've had terrible constipation!

The haunting showed in the smells, the ability to touch something and remember. It was life, and the impressions it leaves behind.

There have been several spirits in my current house in the few years I've been here. Not always the same ones though.. maybe they're lost or just passing through. My house growing up was definitely haunted but none of my encounters have been threatening or even frightening.

My dog must have sensed something today while I was watching tv because he went balistic barking at my computer. Nothing was there that I could see but as I neared I smelled something that I had never smelled before. It was weird.

I have lived in several house that were haunted over the years as I was growing up I think alot of it is due to the fact I can see and sense spirits as well as communicate with them.Anyways my house is haunted by the previous owner she just doesnt want to leave her house she likes what we have done with it.

Two spirits occupy my house. They are of a young boy and a teenage girl. The girl came with the house and the boy was transported into the house in a piece of antique furniture, a wardrobe.

Wonder what the history behind the wardrobe is. Did he like die in it or was he burried in it or what?

The house I live in now isn't haunted. I did live in a house once where the T.V. would come on and go off by itself and the front door would open and close. :) It was cool. Other than that, I've visited several 'haunted' houses. They felt creepy, but I don't know if that's because they were really haunted or I have a good imagination. lol

Lol. I used to have a lamp that would come on in the middle of the night and also a cd player that came on one time under my bed and it woke my mom up.

It would be kinda cool if it was haunted. If it was only for a little bit and a nice spirit.

my first apt was...some old lady fell to her death from the back stairs....and u could always here some thing crashing down the stairs and u would rush out and nothing was there...sometimes the person who lived in her old place would swear they smelled tea brewing in their kitchen but it wasnt them....and other wierd stuff

Sometimes it's nice to know that there are other's around you when your in time of need. But then it sux when you actually want to be alone.

So far this house I'm in now hasn't shown anything but there were several places before that... the one that gets me the most was the house I grew up in.... I don't know the history of the area but my parents weren't the first to own it... I always had a feeling that someone was watching everything I did and I never had any privacy but it wasn't a harmful spirit since I never felt threatened...

when i was about 8 i lived in this really old house - i never thought much of it, but i remeber gettign up in the middle of the night for a drink and seeing a figure in the corner of my eye. when i looked over my shoulder it was gone. but it happened a few times. but i believe it was the house.

My house is haunted by My Uncle Joe that died in 1998!!!! His favorite place was in the basement near the washer he would hang near there and drink!!!!! My mom n I have dreams of him going on a bus and wavey goodbye but a month later my mom goes to do laundry and she says she thinks she sees him and sometimes I feel a hand patting my shoulder!!!!

Yes, I live in Fort Bridger, Wyoming. The land here is haunted by settlers. My house contains three spirits according to my psychic aunt. I have had experiences because of them, and some of them not good.
