I think this is a great topic so iv opened it again.

There are many ways to protect yourself from occult things like magic and pranic vampires.

Personally I use a lot for and against … im interested in what you use and how.

I have a witches bottle hidden in my house. I also have one buried at Stonehenge for a different purpose.
I have one buried in the stone circle by my dads house.

A witches bottle contains so much of ones DNA shall we say, then add nails rusty blades and broken mirrors extra, this means you have 50 50 chance of a spell cast on you being halved or missing you altogether like a smoke screen.

I have the following on all entrances to the house and windows, do this after you have cleansed the house or you trap them in lol

This is one of the oldest spells I know

I use sigils and servitor for protection and attacks against.
Servitor is like a programmable daemon and sigils is how you program it.

I use astral ascending to drain energy incubus style, thus beating shields if im invited in.
I gain access through dreams and sexual energy I feed of very well.

I do protection spells on a regular basis . and I do have my faith

I do protection Spells as well and a twice blessed rosary . I also depend on my Faith as well .

I have no protection spells or symbols. I don't know why but I don't. Any opinions on what could be used?

Placing the ward:

1. Using the index finger of your right hand, point to a spot in the lower left quarter of the area to be warded, vibrating "IEAOU." Visualize the spot glowing with octarine light. Place the right hand palm outward about one inch over the spot (as if you wished to push the surface there), and vibrate "ZOS."

2. Pointing to the center of upper half of the are to be warded, vibrate "IEAOU" again, and repeat the octarine visualization. Place your hand over the spot as before, and vibrate "KIA."

3. Pointing to a spot in the lower right quarter of the area to be warded, vibrate "IEAOU" again, and repeat the octarine visualization. Place your hand over the spot as before, and vibrate "IKKHA." The three spots should now make an equlateral triangle in the approximate center of the warded area.

4. Place yoour hand, palm outward, over the center of the triangle and say "XIQUAL." Visualise pulsating veins of light (usualy octarine, but color depends on the purpose) spreading from under your hand, branching through the surface and covering the entire ward area in an impenetrable tangle.

5. Turn your back to the ward, and say "SYCUZ."

I do use spells, stones, and talismans, as well as shields to protect myself. I have been attacked a few times because I was unprotected and learnt my lesson well. :)

I don't use protections. It's buying into the fear-based attitudes. You expect an attack, you get an attack. As simple as that.

I am thinking like Drakontion on this, if you expect and attack then you'll get one. I dont hold protection spells. If and only If I ever would need one, I got the priviledge to constantly be in contact with spirits from old witches and warlock, that talk to me often and constantly help me with the black and white magic I was granted to learn and be able to use, they would answer to my request and ether give me one or protect me themselves.

I really do not put any kinds of protection spells on or in my house, i mainly wear my pentagram that is enough protection for me, any way if someone wanted to harm me they would pprobably just come after me not my house, and if people are into the idea of putting protection spells in or around their house go for it, i mean it is more protection, it just is not for me...

There is use for defensive measures, but you should not be living your life in such away where you need such extraordinary protection. A lock on a door should be enough for the competent magus.

Yes sage and sea salt are good too even in protection spells . I have also done those shields that was mentioned .

My mom used to do all sorts of spells but I don't think she does much anymore...which now that I think about it, if the spells worked she would probably be doing more...LOL...I don't know, just a thought.

Best way to protect yourself is not believe in it. The sugar pill concept. If you believe it will kill the pain it will. Same goes with magic, spells and curses.

I use protection spells on a regular basis. I have found much to my dismay that there are always going to be those in the world who don't understand and will make it their life's work to cause hate and discontent.

So I use protection spells on any ans ALL things that are important to me...my house, my car, my lifemate.

I have alot of protections spells because what if u are getting cursed with voodoo or satanic spells you will always need a spell the help out with the curse of sumthing.

I rely heavily on my animals for protection, they warn me when someone or something has it out for me. My snakes have a great eye for those who mean me harm they go with me most of the time, they tend to stare people down as to say back off.

My other form of protection is my tattoos they were given to me in dreams and have worked well. My child is the only thing that has to be guarded the most he attracts a lot of unwanted attention. His entry ways have to be carefully sealed, as he says he doesn't want the old guy getting in again.

This entity has followed him since before he was born but I paid him no mind at first until he frightened my son. Oh and number one rule of protection listen to your child when they say something is not quite right about someone.

My protection are my rune tattoos. I have one on each wrist.

a good protection or "warding" spell works great but I always do a cleansing befor casting any type of protection spell and I use somthing like you're witches bottle but it is mainly cleansed sea water with a few other things added it seems to work well for me.

Protection spells, and just my natural shields that kind of guard me.

Even if a person does not believe in curses that does not mean they can not effect you, magick is going to work if you believe in it or not...

There are some kinds of magics like hypnosis that will only work if you allow it. You can't hypnotize someone if they don't believe it will work.

Although its arguable that hypnosis is a magic.

I use a "astral sheath" myself.

I have on my page two red guardians
(pictures) dragon-shaped.

It is interesting that the nations have their guardians too they are called egregors and some egregor images are used in the heraldic representations of those nations.

Sure, I have wards all on my pc... they are called firewalls and virus scaners...

Seriously though, there are several techinques one can use for protection.
The "witch's bottle" is a good example...
For me it would be better to just ask the local spirits to keep an eye out for the place and make occasional "offerings" to keep any aggrements in place. (for example this or that incense burned daily, food left out for local strays, etc...)
granted I have a protective tattoo on my body which seems to do the trick... than i do indeed have wards set up as well...
All in all I feel that a persons own personal energy is the best protection...

I have never really thought of hypnosis as magick, i always thought of hypnosis as more of mind suggestion, and personally i have never seen someone hypnotized so i could not say for sure what technique they use to hypnotize a person...

I have never used protection spells or anything like that. I guess that I just like to live risky. lol Or I just have not needed them.....

I find that laughing at those who say they will use magic against me protection enough.

i have not done any protection spell in the house i am living now and nothing has happend to me so i think doing a spell on your house is a choice, i dont think it needs to be done.

I have friends who do the protection for me.

I've got wards on my home and on myself. I have a hematite and silver bracelet that I wear near-daily, and a pentacle that I wear all the time. And I always extend a blessing to those dear to me--"Safe Journeys until I see you again."

Personally, I just shield.

i use sheilds alot, plus i rely on my faith, and my candlemagick. I have a few items on my person, more for my own comfort rather than for protection, per se...i dunno im strange.

I have never heard of any of this really. I set my alarm at my house and load my gun woth hollow point bullets and have five dogs. Seems to keep me very well protected.

i use a solomon's pentacle that my teacher has blessed as well as shields i put up and some that my teacher put up on me. for your house to keep unwanted things from getting in u can put mustard seed in the window seals and in the door frames.

I also have many protection spells, but the greatest protection I have is a talisman from my soul sister (sister in all but blood) she poured all her love and protection into it, and I have done the same for her

Protection in symbols and or rituals are only as strong as the person's belief using them.

I also have a Witche's Bottle in my house and usually use candle magic for my spell work.
