To see so much and so many people (I would also like to be friends with "humans" if I was a vampire) and to see them die, would be something I would hate.

I'd rather live a full, semi-normal life. Being immortal would be cool, I'd be able to live way past my time and see all the advancements. But that's what my soul will do. My body cannot carry on.

first off we do not live forever our souls jump from bodey to bodey so we keep all we have learned so what you see in the movies does not excist

It depends what is at stake. For instance, if I had to chose between dying a horrible death and becoming immortal, I probably would chose the later. However, if I was to live out a long, happy life, I would prefer that over an over-extended, lonely one.

I'd love to become a creature of the night, drinking blood, keeping in the shadows, I burn easy anyway and we have electricity so I can still read and draw all I want. hell I'd get a heated coffin likes! I'd just turn my bf and then we'll both live together forever..

The idea of living forever has always tantalised me…. But as a Vampire?.. I don’t know.. I’m already some what of a Vampire… I feed off of people’s dark energy… and have become addicted to it… but always living in the darkness… taking lives… and being alone…. Trying to live life as a myth.. and as a secret.. It may be exciting at first…. But … loneliness would sure settle in do time….

Become a vampire? Not sure. I mean I would have to watch everyone that I cared about grow old and die. I wouldnt be able to play a part in the 'normal' world like be able to sing or have kids etc. But on the other hand yes I would like to be a vampire for personal reasons. But I think that I would rather turn when Im a bit older and have had at least 2 children and watch them grow and watch my bloodline continue.

The only way I could see a choice here is to be bitten by one of Anne Rice's vampires...then I could be given the choice to live or not.

Personally, my answer is no. I couldnt go on watching everyone in my fictional life fictionally die, while I fictionally live for ever in fiction.

I guess I would, as long as it would mean new gained state of ability, and not turn me in to an ugly nosferatu, wich hair is doomed to fall out in next ten years after the transformation + the overexpressed curvature of the spine, wich would just make everthing less enjoyable, and the sticky yellowish skin wich always moistures the clothings. I guess if it would be a change wich is improving in my sense of perception, than yes, other than that, it really has no sense turning in to a monster.

I find everything about vampires so interesting yet I would hesitate to become one. In order to feed, you must harm others wether it's animan or human. While not a vegetarian, I do have bouts where I do not eat meat.. I hate how animals are just slaughtered carelessly with no reguard for their feelings. Although I do find the thought arousing, I do not believe I could drink from a human either. I have too much regard for the feelings of others sometimes.

If your talking about the live forever kind of vampire, then yes I would. Just so I could learn. I would love to be around to see the end of life on this world.

A blessing at times while a living hell at others, but I am who I am what I have always been, and when I am none but dust who then will remember me the socialite or isolationist? No. I don't find the mind can handle the abyss of immortality. I'm an insomniac and typically sleep 1 to 3 hours a night and find it rather difficult to keep entertained. I read dozens of books per week, am involved in multiple disaster response planning groups, online sites, newsgroups, and communicate with people and friends all over the world, but after decades of this, the gaps of isolation is immense. I would not want to be immortal.

I thought about it a little more and, nope still wouldn't. The only thing that would sound appealing about vampirism would be super human strength everthing else would be tha same as sapphire said.
