Being that a vampire's energy will deplete by itself what would eventually happen if said vampire was to never again 'feed'?

All answers welcome!

Our body or what is inside us would take over and start feeding.
Iv found a ability to dream walk and take energy similar to incubus methods when isolated.
Iv also heard of drawing from the elements… I don’t think I can or im aware … but I do feel recharged when I go for a walk in the woods

I agree, the vampire within will feed regardless if we want it to or not, it wants to survive and will draw energy form anyone close to it. This is why an energy vamp that does not realize what it is can potentionally be dangerous to those around it.

I believe the body would adapt as would the vamp

I've often heard that when a vampire resists feeding they become very dispressed and even a tad bitt ill, they suffer severley unless the vamp takes over and begins to feed on its own.

UTvamp is right on this one. You don't have a choice. It's a survival issue. Unless you want to go into energy deficit. I suppose that's an option, just like not eating is an option... not very smart, though.

I would have to agree with the general concensus here. The inner vampire will go out and seek energy to feed from. Just like an animal will instinctively go out to eat for survival. So too would the inner vampire.

If a vampire would never feed again what would happen? To me pretty ovious they would go damm hungry wouldnt they.....

I also take energy from the trees. I also like to walk the mall & borrow energy from people there.

I believe it will feed whether it wants to or not and not even knowing that its doing it also. Unless the vamp is powerful enough to control it.

not knowin much about vampires I would say like all other things if it didnt feed it would starve then die.

As all have said, whether we want to feed or not, eventually our bodies will do it for us. Were we to never feed again, we'd die. Simple. It'd take a long time, but our systems would shut down and slowly die.

If he were to never again "feed" ...as in NEVER AGAIN FEED...I imagine he would starve to death. Everything living must feed off of something.

Thanks for being a "realist" indeed if we, or any other being has no source of food.. then the only natural progression from that, is death.

energy can also be extracted from nature, trees, streams, flowers, plants, fire, ect... there are many sources of energy... but we must feed and the human aura is perfered...

We vampires, or as i prefer, immortals, CANNOT survive without blood!

We must feed, or our insides simply shut down.

When i feed, i feel every pain in my body depleate.

I am energised.

Seeing as blood is needed for nourishment, wasting away or finding another source are really the only options.

i would say the vampire would starve if it couldn't feed anymore

I guess most of you agree on that if we don't feed we will die. But for psi vamps, do they need energy all the time or could they live off just food and water like mortals?

basic instinct takes over and we feed without even knowing we do so. I feed from the elements more so than anything at the present time..

Perhaps they would go into a hibernation state till reanimated.

To answer your second question:

If we don't feed from someone's aura, we can indeed absorb energy from food and water (I know this from experience), but it's not nearly as good 'quality', and your energy will suffer accordingly. It's the equivalent to eating fast food all the time rather than eating proper nutrients. Your body will suffer even though you're eating regularly. I'd even venture so far as to say that purely absorbing the energy from food and water may sustain us for a VERY long time, it would probably eventually kill us. We need quality energy at least once in a while, and a human, especially one who works with their energy every so often, is the very best source.

Animals and plants have decent-"tasting" energy, but it still doesn't compare.

if vampires dont feed they will become week over time and if you are a vampire and dont like human blood drink animal blood

vamp345, vampires don't need blood, they (we) need energy. That's the whole purpose of drinking blood. Drinking animal blood is dangerous and generally irresponsible. Animals can carry rabies, as well as a plethora of diseases which would be much more detrimental to our health than low energy. I might add that drinking animal blood would imply killing them, and that is a horrid, inhumane way to satisfy your cravings...

Not necessarily Muerte, many butchers will sell animal blood in various quantities which has been filtered and cleaned, for culinary purposes. So animal blood is a viable - if tasteless - alternative. But as the whole purpose of blood drinking is usually energy, the body will take matters into it's own hands if denied - it happened to me a while ago; I started energy siphoning in my sleep, with no control over it. Weird times...

I believe one would fall into a deep sleep until awakened again, then the being within would take control and feed again..

i think that the said Vampire would begin to feed upon energy w/o realising it as an attempt to fill a void.

If one is t' completely ignore the vampiric way o' life one would simply cave wit'in itself. Much like cannibalism, our body would destroy ourselves until we could stand it no longer, an' go on a blood/energy rampage, wit'out any logic or reason.

No one knows what a real vampire is, so basically we are just assuming what the possibilities could result from the Mythical vampire.

They'd eventually die by starvation.

Most vampires feed without even knowing it from crowds, from living things outdoor, trees, etc.
So all in all, we will survive.

The Mythical Vampire is said to 'ave an animalistic instinct that when hungry it will feed, it is like that wit' even humans, when one is starvin' it will eat anythin' t' survive if nothin' is found it will feed upon itself.

I think that a vampire would be like a human. The insides would eventually eat on the fats in the body then as it continues it would eat the major organs.

It could just feed on what it can find after going crazy from loss of food just like a human would do in certain cases.

I...being the kind person that I am...would offer to take the starving vamp to the homeless shelter down the road where they offer hot meals and a nice cot with a wool blankie.

They would just b drained not to do nethang thtey need blood but they are immortal so they will never die they will just be very weak.

I believe that once they started to feel drained almost . The natural instinct of survival would kick in and they would feed.

I suppose they would just be week, since a vampire cannot really die of starvation since its already dead.

if a vampire was to never feed again in any form such as psychic or sanguine then i believe a vampire would become weak lacking needed vitamens,minerals,iron etc... and become drained with out being able to fulfil it's purpose for survival.

If a vampire cannot die from starvation, then why is it's sole reason for existence to feed from the living?

If ya can't starve, why even eat?

Well like humans if we don't feed at some point we sill turn to eating anything that will sustain energy for us to use as is a survival reaction all of us have inside it's what kept us alive through so many years in the past.

I read UTAHvamp's response, and i must say that I agree, especially if one doesn't even know they are a vamp of the sort, or if they do, it would be just like going without food for a human, not healthy, they have no choice but to feed

i think the feelings of not eating and being a vamp in lack of feeding would be much like a diabetic when they need sugar or insulen to keep them going

If it were to never feed again though, it obviously doesn't wish to continue on as a vampire and it would die.

A Vampire who doesn't feed will go into Tarpor, A state of Dormancy, and remain that way until the Vampire feeds once again.

However... during Tampor... the Vampire's physical form will deterorate and even decompose.....

Once the Vampire feeds... it's body will regenerate to it's original form.

I've heard of that happening, however, I don't think it would happen at all. Like the general population of the people who have responded here, I'd have to say that the vampire inside would have to take over. It's basic instinct. When you're hungry, you eat, same thing happens. When you're starving, you still eat. Granted, it may not be as good, but as long as you're eating, it works. The inner vampire would do the same. It would start to take energy from any and every source it possibly could...no matter how small.

feeding on energy is very satisfying but isn't actually necessary. if you didn't feed on energy all that would happen is that you wouldn't get that boost. just imagine not having your favorite dessert anymore. that's kind of the same princicple.

We always feed it is like a starving animal. We find some way to survive....there are always humans near by.

It is natural to feed and no stopping it. Energy, blood or what ever one feeds on.

i would say that the vampire would either become sick or would go into a coma like state until it was able to feed again

basically your body will go into autopilot and take energy or watever to feed subconsiously

every living thing has to feed, humans, vampires, animals, plants no expections.

So I am sure that no matter what we feed, either we feed out of energy, out of simple molecule in air, out of water, we always feed.

Of course in the end if we go without feeding at all, isolating ourselves completely I would assum it would result in death.

The only being who can resuct ffom its ashes ( fiction of course) is the pheonix, since a vampire is not the same then I would think he or she would simply die out of hunger.

I've still yet to hear how a vampire in a coma like state would be able to hear again.
