have you ever had a incounter with a angel? if so how old were you? were were you living at the time?
i have one time in my life.
i was 15teen living out in the country and me and my brother was walking along a canal bank sing michael row your boat a shore.and we happen to see three angels setting on the ege of the canal bank they looked kinda hungry and lonly.so we dicided to stop and talk to them.but all they would do is sing the song we were singing over and over again lol.
so we decided to turn back to go home and we were going to
bring thenm some thing back to eat and a bible for them to read.
well when we returned to were they were they vanished with no trace at all.the ground was wet so we should have seen foot prints in the sand but there was nothing.
we looked for two hours for them no trace was found.

very interesting post i shall have to keep an eye open to see how this goes..

i can only remember once years ago i caught a glimpse of something golden and for some reason i thought it was a angel but then it was gone so i think it is possible that people can see angels especially those who are open minded and in touch with them.
of course not all angels are good i would be interested if anyone has ever thought they seen a fallen angel that would be a very interesting experience i am sure..

I, myself, have never seen an angel. I have heard of many encounters of them though, from people appearing as nurses in hospitals that don't really work there, speaking to dying paitents that make a full recovery, to a picture of a little girl with a mans face on the tv in the background over her shoulder, while the tv is off.

I don't see angels in the biblical sence..Once i was walking in a cemetary with my little boy and i know that the thing that i saw walking with him was an angel.. It was a young child and it looked almost as if he was trying to walk hand in hand with my son.. To this day i still feel the pressence of whatever that is around my little boy.. I also have seen my great grandmother just in a glimse many times watching over the boys. I think she is there angel.

im am not of a christian faith but a friend who was came to my house and in my room where i play guitar and swears he seen demons/dark entities whatever and was scared to come back. . .lol

At times there are angels that come into your life, you wll not recognize them as such, help you, stand by your side, and when no longer needed, leave your life.

a friend was asleep on the trian and an angel woke him up and told him it was time to get off and vanished.

I use Michael in my magick works but have never actually seen him. but know very well he is there for some of the things I have done would have bitten me hard with out his protection.

I haven't seen angels but I have seen my spirit guides. I actually caught a glimpse of them in a mirror and a shop window once.

As someone has already stated, I think to see an angel you need to be open minded and a firm believer that they exist and are constantly around us.

My grandmother told me she encountered the angel of death a week before she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer....weird huh

When I was very young, I was sleeping at my aunts and I saw a bright light on the other side of the room, the door was shut, it was very dark and I remember been scared before seeing it, and very happy after! I don't know if that would be classed as a angel but it did make me feel better.

I have never seen one before. My Uncle on the other hand - he was driving back from my father’s funeral. Most of the roads were closed so this journey took nearly four hours. He had my baby cousins in the backseat with my aunt at the front, all sound asleep. Eventually he dosed off too, when he felt a strong, firm grip on his shoulder saying "Mark, wake up!"

He nearly drove into the cliff side. He was convinced an adult male was in the van with him. He was the only male...

No i never have but i belive they are out there and some look after us.

Well people say that they can see their loved ones looking down on them after they have died, so why would this not be embodied in the form of an Angel?

i have once.. it was about 15 years ago when i had my first child.. i woke up in the middle of the night with my daughter cueing and there was an angel standing over my daughters crib.. i wasnt quite sure if they existed until then..

I myself have not, but my mother once did. She was very ill and have recently given birth to my older brother. She awoke from a deep sleep one night covered in sweat to hear my borther crying. She said there was a blinding light that subsided to reveal a man, in a white robe. She said he a had a beard and a beuty she could not explain. He stood there in the hall looking at her and a calm fell over her. Shortly there after he disapeared and she went to find my brother was covered in sweat, he had been crying for some time, but due to her being so sick she did not awaken. She beileves an angel came t my brothers aid and to awake her from her sleep. Ita a wonderful tale when she tells it.

I had a encounter with what I believe to be a Angel, I was 14 at the time and going through a pretty bad time. I had gone into my sitting room and placed a cup of tea on the table, when I looked up above the fire place where the mirror was I saw a beautiful blond haired man smiling shyly at me I was then over come with a warm loving feeling like I was been wrapped up in love when I turned to where I saw the man sitting he was gone.

I still to this day believe that I was visited by a angel.

I was thinking and actually I’m not positive but I may have had an experience with an angel. I was traveling home very late one night and it had been a very long week. I was exhausted and traveling very fast. It was about 2 am and I had reached a straight away in the road so I increased my speed from 55 to 75. Ya I was speeding, but I remember the radio becoming very quiet and then darkness. Suddenly I remember having an odd dream, in the distance there was a light and what looked like clouds. I heard a voice saying my name and wake up, you must wake up. I could see three personages standing in the mist, and after several times of them calling my name I realized I was asleep. I woke up laying on the steering wheel vehicle still moving at a very high speed. I was off the road an poles where racing by. If I had not waked up when I did I would have hit a telephone pole at 75 mph. I wonder if maybe angels came to my dream to awake me from my sleep.

I do believe in angels. My mate saw an angel in our previous home. He I believe was an undiagnosed sick person at the time. He said he saw an old woman coming down the hall, an old couple had lived and at different times both died in the home we were renting. My mate late after a long illness, died in my home, with hospice care, sometime after that, maybe a month or so . His spirit ,ghost I'm not sure, came to me in my sleep. It seemed so real it was just his head hovering over me with a feeling of tenderness, like saying he was there watching over me. I believe this. Maybe it is a subconscious way of me dealing with losing my life mate of 18 1/2 years. I also feel the whole dark vs light . Opposing factors. How can one believe in the devil and not believe in angels?

When I was about 7 I know I saw an angel. It was the night my grandma died accross the country. I remember being asleep then that night, maybe at three am or so being woken up to a bright light radiating off of someone in my room. I dont remember very much else other then it told me not to be afraid and me leaving to go bring my mom into the room but when we both got there the angel was gone. Apparently my cousin the next morning woke up and started talking about angels as well. Keep in mind that we had no contact with each other, she was the same age as me and she lived close to our grandma and therefore a couple hundred miles away.

ten years ago when i was twenty i was in a horrible car reck that threw me from the car...and i saw four angels standing around me...they told me it was not my time to die and that i need to get up. two of they angels helped me to my feet, walked me to a car that was behind my car and they disapeared....when i asked the man on the side of the road where'd the two people go that help, he just repiled , "sweetie you got up and walked over to me by yourself." since that night i see both angels and demons....

not sure if it was an angel or what it was.... but i remember i was 14 and i had a bad fever.... i was up in my room sleeping my mom and dad were watching t.v. dowstairs....i was in that half awake and half asleep state.... and all of a sudden i felt someone touch my forehead it was enough of a touch i opened my eyes and could still feel it up no one was there... and my fever was gone..... was it an angel? i really don't know but what ever it was it made me better.....

they are there all the time...but will only reveal themselves when most needed

i believe we all have encounters with angels it just depends on our understanding of them whether we accept it and see them

I had a dream of my late paternal grandmother in which she appeared angelic...that's as close as I got to seeing one, I guess.

when i was little and had my own room for the first time it was a little scary for me. my imagination would get the better of me and to me being visited by an angel was such a terrible thing that i would have preferred a visit aliens and monsters.

the only time i prayed was to sceptically ask the boogeyman in the sky not to dare send angels or i would be quite irate.

I have seen a picture of a woman, and behind her was a orb of a angel. The wings and the white gown. The picture was tested by the Kodak company. For Kodak for a price will do testing on pictures to see if they are orbs or of fakeness. The picture turned to be real and not fake.

I've never seen any angels--at least as far as I know.

I do think that some of our pets do come every once in a while to look over us. Every so often I will see some black shadows moving around in places around the house.

I also think that one I(or more) of our deceased pets has laid claim to the one side of my Mother's bed. The dog we currently have will not go on that entire side of the room--even if a ball or toy happens to wander there, He seems actually afraid to step across that "barrier".

I personally have never seen an angel. But I also do not see an Angel in the Biblical sense. I know my Grandmother always said that an angel would come into the picture when you needed to be guided or pushed into the right direction .

i myself believe in angels,they also can come as amials,when i was a child about 13teen this dog appeared out of no were and followed me home from school,it was like being protected that was the sense i was picking up when i got home i wanted to give it something to eat when i went back outside it had disappeared you tell me?

I don't believe the spirits of our loved ones that pass on become angels, I believe angels are completely different entities, they are messengers created by God.

I would have to agree with Fallen Angel 2005 - they do come in many forms.

I also believe there is a great chance that many of us have already met these entities and didn’t realize it at the time…

Miserable At Best – True, I do believe there are separate angelic beings not of the human race, but isn’t there a possibility that a loved one could be charged as an angel to send or convey an important message, or oversee a pivotal moment in a specific persons life? Even if it was just to make their presence felt temporarily?

I haven't had an angel encounter, but i know there is someone out there watching over me. But my Friend has 2 Gardian angels i know that much Julia and hahianya (inpronounceable)

I have never seen an angel as they are described in the bible, but I have seen my own spirit guides but also other spirits when I have been doing dreamtraveling.

My best friend Søren is probebly the closest thing I will come to an angel, he has a strange habit of showing up when I need him the most.

i son't recall ever having one... but i knoe they are out there watching over all of us...

my dog got out of her collar and decided to go for a walk on her own while i was at work. well she got hit by a car (she is a terrier mix, and tiny...) and who ever hit her just left her there... (ASSHOLE!!!) but some guy saw her bleeding on the side of the road, and took her to the vet in town... she had no broken bones, no internal injuries... just a couple scratches!!!

she was deffinatly being watched over!

i remember back when i was giveing birth to my daughter.
i was in the or getting set up to give birth to my daughter and when they put me under within 15 mins i felt a hand playing with my hair and whispering in my ears that i will make it threw.
and when i came to i asked the nurse if she was playing with my hair and she said no well i guess that was my angel watching over me

i believe i've seen an angel before.my great grandmother,the night she died,called my broken cellphone,and told me all would be okay soon,and asked me to tell my great grampa she loved him...then she was gone...we got a call twenty minutes later that she'd died thirty minutes before...it was creepy,because the phone was totally broken,and just started ringing all of the sudden.then,when my grear grandma and great grampa were burried (he died two days after she did)n togehter,i swear i saw them both dancing in the field,to music no one else could hear.i also have had contact with my two best friends,who comitted suicide two weeks ago.

Perhaps I saw an Agent of Purgatory once, not Angel, not Demon, A Moderator for those that pass through Limbo, and attemp to enter Purgatory to shake the faith of those stuck their. So an Agent of Purgatory is as i may have seen it, dressed like a Detective, they told me the way to save my butt from prosacution.

Who's to say what an angel really is? The Christian version? A messenger of G-d with wings? Or how about someone who simply brightens up your life in down times?

I've met an angel. Not the popular image of one. But as I said before, one, a person or persons, who brightens my day.

My mother is a real new age woman, ad she taught me how to contact my gardian angels. Chose a quiet space and meditate, send out questions to your angels, what are there names, what do they look like, what they are there to help you with. you will get your answers and be closer to your angels

The Lord and his charges work in ways we cannot understand. If people believe in Deamons than the opposit would be true of angels. would it not?

There are angels all around us. They might not be supernatural or from the divine, but there are people who exuberate light and help us carry the burdens we face during our lifetimes.

My grandmother was in a car accident when I was 14 and while the paramedics where taking care of the other lady's in the car some woman just came and sat with her and talked to her. She didn't know who the woman was, but she just came over and was talking to her like she'd known her forever. This was really weird because the police and paramedics were keeping pedestrian away from the scene. When the paramedics were about to come back to my grandmother, the woman left....she asked them about the woman, and they didn't know what she was talking about.

Nobody was seriously hurt, but my grandmother believed she was an angel. I don't doubt her.

i've seen/felt beings around me that i guess could be considered angels. if a being helps you and guides you, it is your angel, is it now? it doesn't necessarily mean it has to be the golden child with wings, it could be anything that is good for you. so i guess yes, i have seen angels.

From my memory, I have never seen an angel, I've felt the presence almost of someone in the room with me, but I've passed it off as my imagination, mostly I don't believe that we can see angels, if they truly exist, and sometimes angels come in the form of people, the closest friends could be taken for angels, just by how caring they are, and unselfish, anyone who guides you in your life would be an angel at heart, like a teacher, or just a random person on the street. Or at least that's what I think.

I doubt that I've ever seen an actual "Heavenly" angel, but I did have a creepy occurance at work once, where I may have seen a ghost, or an Angel of Death. Its in my journal if you want to check it out....

Could you please describe these run ins?

When I was younger and going to church I would see an angel telling me to leave because I wasn't safe. I was already a practicing Pagan at the time.

Then a month ago I heard one warn me to look up while I was on the playground of the school I work at. When I looked up I saw a spider tucked into a corner of the equipment. A huge, hairy thing that took 15 minutes to kill with spray. We're very lucky that the students were acting oddly and didn't climb onto that piece of the equipment.

i beleve in angels too. i have seen one when i was 12 yrs old and she was my greatgrandmother just watching over me.

I have encountered Angels before from both sides, the first was a warning, and the second was to tell me of a death in the family. Those were the "good" Angels. As for the "bad" or "fallen" ones or Demons they may be called even though they look nothing like Demons not a great experience they aren't too keen on the idea of people using them or binding them to do their bidding.

if its been confirmed countless times in this thread that angels are just good people then why are they still being reffered to as angels? curious.

Angels are made up in peoples minds so they can understand how something happen to them that they do not understand.

And what kinds of things would those happen to be? As far as I'm aware angels don't account for much when it comes to unexplainable things.

I cannot say necessarily that I believe or disbelieve in them...as I have not met one personally..but I do believe that there is somone or something watching over us.

The closest I have come to an angel is my youngest son..I almost died when I was pregnant with him..funny thing is on the ultrasound pictures it looked as if he had a halo around his head..I was told it was because he had hair..but my two oldest both were born with hair but it never showed like that in their ultrasound pictures...he was born under some very bad conditions and when he got a little older and his hair started to grow out he had a blonde strip around his head in the form of a halo...alot of ppl asked me if I dyed his hair like that but I didn't..of course he is older now and no more blonde there..but to me he is my angel.

I do not think I have seen one but, I do believe I have guiding spirits. Could that be the same thing?

If you look at it insofar as that they are BOTH considered guardians, and guardian spirit is just another term [somewhat] for a guardian angel, they are both connected.

I believe they could be one in the same or the terms used interchangeably depending on what your faith is or in what you believe.

i cant say i have because i believe angels that are on this earth can look just like you and me and maybe hey are here for a reason such as to guard or to protect us.

I believe as my son at 3 had really bad asthma and stop breathing while i was driving into town i drove straight to the hospital but when about to carry him in a man told me to come with him in a side door . I followed and he brought me to a room. I laid my son down and he brought out a syringe of a light green substance. He injected into my sons leg and my son started to cry. He told me my son would act colicy for the next few days but would be fine now. My husband was with me. about a half and hour later my husband went out and walked to the ER to see when we would be released , they told him they didnt have record of my son and asked the two docs in the hospital ER if they treated him they said no. Confused we left the hospital and the miracle is my son never had a attack again. I know that was my sons guardian angel they appeared and saved his life infront of us.

i seen angels twice in my life the first was when i was 24 one night an angel came into my room and ltold me my grandpa was dead i found out a couple days later he had died in his sleep that night the other was 2 years ago but not sure it was real or not either way it probally saved my life anyways i was so bad into my addiction at this piont and time i had lost everything i was living under a tree and an angel came to me and told me i had to stop the drugs or i would die and that things in my life would get better if i just quit so i did and well things going alot better so yes i beleive in angels and that beleif is probally why im still here today

Well, some forms of angels are guardians. The 'white winged angel' is considered a guardian spirit or guardian angel.

i think most of us view angels as good and holy but i do believe in the fallen legion,that there are also dark angels who do bidding for the other half so to speak.
but i yet to have that experience.

i think its funny sometimes that we as humans believe in angels which can be myth but when it comes to creatures such as werewolves or vampires which are a bit more believeable our minds tend to close rather easily,but maybe it is because angels are of a religious belief mostly.

I have to agree with a few people on here.
What I consider an angel may not be what other people picture them as.
But to me, I know a few Angels myself. They are the people who can make me smile without even trying, they are the ones closest to my heart and the ones I care for the most.

I have seen angels of different forms, some dark, others not, one that I remember well was in the form of a homeless man, it was only a minute interaction 16 years ago, but never left my memories, the world is full of them in many ways and all ways, you may never even know when you are standing next to one. But, if you stay aware, think of times when sitting and tryin to figure something out and a stranger walks by and says a small random phrase that makes scene somehow and you have one of those oh yeah moments, or someone has just what you needed right at the moment you needed it, things like that, we tend to not notice because we are to wrapped up in our own thoughts to be aware of what is going on around us to notice such simple settle things.

Last year, when I was getting off the bus, a little girl said "Bye Stephanie!" I glanced back at her, she looked about six, had the biggest smile, and her skin looked radiant, like it was almost glowing. I gave her a quick smile and a wave as soon as I was past my disorientation over it. I live in a small town, and here everyone knows each other, so hearing my name wasn't a big deal, but I didn't recognize the girl at all.

The next day I asked our driver if we had a new student, and she looked at me funny and said no. When she asked why, I just said I thought I saw someone new. When I got to the back of the bus I asked my friend Khoy if he saw that little girl who said bye to me, since he always is in front on the way home, near where she was. He gave me the same look, and said that no one said bye to me.

I never saw her again.
