It's "OFF-topic" to address the assertion that anything is possible but "ON-topic" to make the assertion?
Logic is not the enemy here, nor am I. I'm simply applying logic where some would choose to avoid it.
I only addressed what people keep saying. If I'm off topic, so are they. In reality, none of it is off-topic. Trying to shut people up who offer more than blind assertions (through which they provide conclusions you don't care for), by proclaiming that any rational approach to a question is "off-topic" is not only inaccurate, but disingenuous to boot.
As for the statement that science doesn't explain everything, that's quite true. I don't know of anyone -- most certainly to include scientists -- who would ever suggest that it does.
But to assume that simple subjective assertion can explain what science cannot is an absolutely unsupportable postulation which has failed in every attempt ever made throughout the existence of human history. Such things have been claimed since the dawn of recorded thought. And yet not one time -- EVER -- has anyone demonstrated a single case where subjective assertion has shown what objective analysis cannot.
Thinking that it's possible to arrive at accurate conclusions by avoiding applying logic and reason to the objective analysis of evidence has never produced so much as a bud, while science has brought forth every fruit in man's arsenal of technology and knowledge.
If you have an example which would refute that assertion, I'd be most interested in seeing it presented.
There is no credible evidence to suggest that it's possible to actually see people in dreams, other than as the result of random firings involving neurons connected to the visual cortex. And until someone presents some, I stand unrefuted.
This marks the third time in 3-days I've seen false accusations that people are posting off-topic when they're clearly posting on-topic, but presenting conclusions with which many find disfavor. You present your opinions, I'll present my rational, reasoned, and often evidenced conclusions. I'm not here to follow the flow or post contrary to the evidence. I'm here to present reasoned discussion regarding the topic at hand, and responses posted toward that topic. That's all I've done.
