I got the idea for this thread from what DarknessBound posted on another thread....what do you think would happen if everyone from the Rave was put into a giant mansion (i'm talking really big mansion) and we had to live together for 3 months...6 months...a year...?

it would probably be paradise for the first few days, but after a while we could start attacking each other . Social interactions for such long periods of time on a constant basis often lead to friction.

Very interesting.. maybe we could all chip in a few $$,££.. buy a mansion.. and lets see...

Hey, we could do our own version of Mad, Mad House. Where Prince Cancer and the Master Vampires pick 10 users to join them in the mansion. You all have to do the challenges we pick, and every week one of you gets kicked out.

The user who makes it to the last week could get a Master Vampire rank bestowed upon them. (That last bit about the winner was LadyLilian's idea.)

hmmmm elderdan's idea sounds good, but i think i'd cry if i wasnt one of the 10 users... haha not really, but maybe just have everybody meet at one point would be good. Maybe not for 6 months... but a week or so then i would have no complaints. Sounds like a good experience I can't wait for.

I've planned a charity vampire masquerade ball, for cancer research about 4 years ago, had everything done, contracts signed, things paid for, but it fell through cause my partner in business and crime had a problem about the idea of "charity" ball. We fought over how much to donate, so she cancelled on me. Someday I would love to throw another one, or should I say the first one. It wouldn't be like the typical one everyone would imagine, it would be so unique. Told ElderDaniel about it and he likes it too.

How about a convention-type event? A weekend event would be long enough to get to know each other, but short enough so we don't end up at each other's throats (pun intended). Maybe simultaneous events in the US, UK & Australia, and we could have a phone or video conference thing at some point during the event.

I live in Richmond, Virginia and there are several very old southern plantation houses (King should be happy with that) that are right near the river (pick one, actually).
Typical 'covered in spanish moss' kind of thing...

Wouldn't be half bad.

The 'safe-house' idea is a bit more feesable as well as it can be implimented in MANY cities... as opposed to just the one.

Buyin a lot of land and building a small comunity would be the most difficult for discrimination and political reasons.
Zoning would be fun for that ... considering differing architectural styles amongst the bunch...
Obviously we have a vote for castles... on that note.... I'd have to sell a kidney to get to GB... but considering they dont really work well enough anyway I doubt my system would miss one.. lol.

Mansions... not bad, not bad at all.
*I* can do mansions... the Rockefellers have one in upstate New York that John D. apparently built for his wife. He called it a 'summer cottage'.
It is now listed as one of the most luxurious Mansions in northern america.
Cottage... lol.

I vote somewhere in the Dakotas.
A) The plains indians have the BEST pow-wows... Taymos and I would be straight chillin.
B) You get the desert... FABULOUS sunsets.
C) For us riders... roadtrips would be VERY accesable, and we wouldn't have to pay for Sturgis gas money (lol).
D) WIDE OPEN SPACE to develope on. This is key considering if that actually happened (the community)... our kind would pour in from the woodwork....

I think that IF we were to organise a mass meet up it should be done like everbody stays in hotel's as separate from each other as possible but with 1 focal meeting point kinda like a ohysical version of the rave so you come and go as you do here

Well pondering over the subject, If some are (REALLY) serious. We could start a underground connection if we had something on the side that benefited the community/'s. Then you could get funding or start a Road show like the suicide girls. It's gonna be hard to conveince me to dress like a women though.

Another idea would be a series of coven houses. Like, have one central house for certain areas, ie, one in New England, a coupe out west, and yeah, like that. And every once in a while have like a huge ball or whatever, bringing everyone together from VR in one place. The coven houses could even be named after Vampire: The Masquerade. Such as the Houseof the Followers of Set or something

yeah, we could have several "mother houses" in major cities (with one all important one someplace we could all get to for annual or semi-annual masked balls or whatever), and then two or three (or more) dozen "daughter houses" which would be all over the place and be smaller than the mother houses and intended for smaller groups of vampires. And maybe the daugther houses can be used for safehouses not only for vamps, but for witches and the like.

i have this house near where i live. Nice two story house, has five bedrooms, two bathrooms with a fireplace in the living room, and it's supossed to be haunted (according to rumors...). I'm not sure if i should believe the rumors or not...even though the house has been empty since i've lived here...i've been here for almost 5 years...

I used to host 'family' parties, but in truth it was a vampire party. Sometimes at any given point I would have as many as 17 fellow kindred spirits from three different cities over my house eating extremely rare steak dinners, merlot wine with blood in it (that was my favorite), dressed in our leather and chain best, watching vampire movies, and dancing to our favorite newest cd's.
At that point we never locked the front door......who would dare come in if they walked by saw the party and took note of all the swords hanging from the door moldings.
AHHHHHh them were the days.
Maybe the Johnson' are just not ready for us.
