Do you, or have you ever had an out of body experience?
If so would you mind sharing ?
I have had a few. i have had a few surgeries and i can honestly say i remember ever all of them.. i was rushed to the er because my appendix ruptured 4 hours after i got there they finally put me out for surgery and from cut to stitch i remember it all i asked the dr if it was weird that i know what he did and of course i explained what i had seen him do he told me that i was the second person that has asked him he thought it was interesting and started asking me ?s lol i know it sounds corny but thats how it happened
yes i do successful obe its my own develop method...
half the meditation, half the vision and half the astral and half the senses expansion...
this all combined take me off immediately to obe state.
I don't know if it's really considered an out of body experience but sometimes when I am sleeping, I will wake up and not be able to move my body. I can see myself and I will try really hard to move but I can't.
That would be sleep paralysis. Not the same thing. An out-of-body experience would be a separation of the consciousness from the physical body (that's not an official definition of it, but close enough).
Wait, I misread that somehow. You can see your body... third person, like you're separated from it? That's closer to an OBE, but could just be a hypnopompic (state of consciousness just prior to being fully awake) hallucination.
i have never had an experience, but i have read many things about it, i bet it is quite scary :-s the main place it happens is when your in surgery maybe its because your close to death and your body separates, its hard to get your head round it
If you go to projectplaylist.com and look up Astral Projection, there's two things. First, a very good goa trance band. Second, a weird guy that talks about how you can astral project and have an OBE.
I don't know if it's an out of body experience, but when I was younger, around eleven, I fell through the ice while skating on a lake one winter. I could see myself, could see the people trying to break the ice to get me, even though for most of it I was blacked out because I hit my head on the way down.
yes and I will do it again. You know there is a way to control when you have an out of body experience. It is called meditation, chi flow, yes it is real, how do I know I do it. You must first learn to meditate, and get your chi flowing evenly through your body, I will not tell you how to do this because I do not want to be held responsible if you do it wrong. Once you have mastered that you must clear your mind, once it is cleared then you can start to detach your spirit from your body. there you have it a controlled out of body experience.
When you ask for out of body experiences are you wanting voluntary or non voluntary experiences?
I myself can "walk". That is the term I use. Some people may consider it to be astral projection, I however don't. But I do have the ability to remove myself and go for a walk. I do this to check on loved ones that I lose contact with just to make sure all is well. It can be quite dangerous and shouldn't be attempted by those who don't know what they are doing.
I have also have had 6 near death experiences in my lifetime. All those I would consider involuntary. I have to admit that I have not seen any bright lights or harmonic music, no pearly gates, or fiery hells, while experiencing an out of body experience.
When I "walk" it is a completely different feeling and look. I go into a deep meditative state, using various helpful tools such as candles, incense, silence, and a prayer (chant). Once I am out of body everything looks as if it has a hazy dream like look to it. I can visit times past (my own mostly) and present day places. I cannot reach all realms nor can I do a future walk. I have tried I guess that is the limit to my abilities. I do not think that "walking" is something that can be taught, I have tried to teach others and have been unsuccessful. Which tells me I am either a really bad teacher or it just cant be taught.

When I am listening to my music I go into a trance like state. Most of my friends say that I get a glazed over look on my face and they cannot snap me out of it, even if they turn the music off. The thing is I hear everything they are saying, but I cannot reply or do anything to help them wake me. It seems like I have passed out.
If you go into a deep enough trance, it can be difficult to pull yourself back out. We're talking delta (I think,) brain waves here. You're near the level of sleep, and coming out of such a trance can be as difficult as waking yourself from a dream.
I hear everything and see it and remember it, but while in my 'trance' I can do nothing else, but stare with glazed eyes and maybe sing or hum along to the music/beat
I hear that a lot of people have OBEs a lot when they do acid. If you google it there's a bunch of sites that tell you how to do them. You just need to meditate... a lot
Astral Projection, aka OBEs, require a LOT of meditation for most people. I've never had one on acid, though I hear DXM, DMT, Salvia, and a number of other hallucinogens can have that effect as well.
Indeed, don't use them to chase an OBE. You're much less likely to have one, and more likely to screw up your life. That being said, the 4th (?) plateau of DXM is supposedly separation of mind and body.
I just read an essay on dissociative disorders and in its most extreme forms it reads almost like an out of body experience.
The times when I've experienced something like an out of body experience has been when I've been in extreme pain or in a life threatening situation.
For me when that happens I step outside my body and go on autopilot. My body keeps doing whatever it must to survive, but I'm standing next to myself watching.
The first time it happened, it freaked me out. Now that I've given natural child birth and had a couple of other unpleasant situations, I'm grateful for it.
I've never been able to do it with out an extreme fear or pain factor though. Then again I've never really tried.
Out of body experience is something I am trying to perfect.... Because as a psi feeder someday when my physical body dies... I will be able to project my astral body and continue to feed keeping myself alive for all eternity........
The perfection comes from the awareness one learns from the OBE. I OBE on a daily basis. Although I did not learn how to astral, as it comes naturally to me.
As Queensryche's Silent Lucidity explains, you can learn dream control this as well goes for control and awareness for the astral.
I believe I've had it happen to me a few times.
it's really strange.
it's like I'm watching myself when it happens.
have done it a few times, not by trying. could see myself and was aware that i was above looking down upon myself. twice happened in graveyards.
Once I felt my heart flutter while in a Behavioral Health Unit ( after a meth binge, and nervous break down) I felt my body slip first adrenaline, then endorphins, followed by DMT, Having tripped before I settled myself to allowing a hallucination to develop.. It formed, a static sensation was all I felt.. I witnesses a panoramic vision scape, a stretched horizon, with light cables ( like fiber optics) zipping over head was streaking lights, rolling across a vast waste land was dim sluggish clouds, a" gravity"( what I once considered a cord) "brought me back", or made me calm enough to avoid traumatizing my body.. The paramedic keeping the bag going saved my life.
It took me some 4 months to get over the hyper stimulation I was feeling,
I spend as much time as i can on the astral plane, but what most people refer to as obe's are when the astral self remains on the earthly plane. I'll briefly describe two different experiences.
I once fainted at the counter in a McDonald's store from low blood sugar levels. My astral body took off and flting through the city streets so fast that all the lights blurred, then i got pulled back toward my body. I was on the ceiling looking down, i could see the entire kitchen of the 'resteraunt', things i could not possibly see from standing at the front of the counter. I was looking at my physical body on the ground with people around me trying to wake me, as they were succeeding i was being dragged back into my body. As an added curiosity, fainting from low blood sugar places you in a coma state, so i think that when peole are in comas they are detached from their astral selves.
The other type of astral travelling, which in my case is mostly voluntary is where we leave the physical plane altogether and roam the astral world. Most people would be doing this frequently while sleeping, without even knowing. If you want to try to be in more control or to understand better but have trouble finding the meditative state required for this you can find the moment between sleep and awake, where you are starting to dream but are still conscious. Thats it, thats you astral travelling and why we often get a falling sensation if our souls are jumped back to our bodies too quickly. Anyway first practise being aware of the point in time between asleep and awake, then learn to hold on to it as such a relaxed state usually results in slumber. after much practice you may learn to consciously control your movements etc, but don't be disheartened if you never gain that control as the majority don't. The conscious and astral mind are very seperate and on that plane the astral mind has the control.
Yes I had an out of Body experience that I remember vividly. My ex wife was an alcoholic and very physically abusive. I myself wasn't raised around violence and am not a violent person. Anyways We got into an argument and I could tell that she was getting ready to get violent and It was going to escalate to that level. At this time I involuntarly had an Out of Body experience. I remember looking down at myself and my Wife having this argument and seeing it from outside my body.
I had one when I was 9 years old; I was in the operating room, and saw - from above - myself asleep with a tube up my nose, with doctors and nurses around me. Very strange...
I'm not sure if this is one but I know once I was really scared and then I could see my self and I felt my 'physical' form calming down. Like, I was 9. I don't remember what really happened, I know I was able to see my self and then I started chanting something, I can't remember what. It was freaky. I have had a few more like that when I was hut or really scared. I'm always able to see myself out of my body and i'm always chanting some strange words.
When endorphines hit the body, and the consciousness feels something is about to happen that is tramatic (or as it happens) adrenaline, then endorphinse hit the body, in extreme cases DMT will be consontrated in the system, though science is still observing this process, I found personally that the "Looking from above" was actualizing myself, as I picture others picturing me, all very intense experiences. A healthy dreamer is likely to have a a more involved Death Trip.
It's interesting to note how many people have experienced an OBE while in, or going through, a traumatic experience, but how many have experienced an OBE while not under stress? Was the experience intentional or unintentional?
I'm going to raise my skills of OBE before trying to leave my body without stress. Like last time when I had an OBE I was able to stay out of my body longer than normal. But I want to be sure I can leave my body without being kept out of my body.
Yes I have had a few with understanding astral projection when I was younger while in surgery and when I coded in surgery. But as I got older and started studying and learning the techniques it became easier to travel art will rather that just having a random event that could be qualified as just a dream. With time and practice and experience one can learn to project at will. That's when you begin to expand your mind and learn and see things people wouldn't believe or even comprehend.
I experienced this the night my grandfather died. That night I was in the restroom(of all places), and could not stop crying and didn't know what for. I went upstairs to go to bed. Shortly after, I was at the hospital by my grandfather's side but he was looking down at himself. It frekaed me out, but we talked and I calmed down.
My mother woke me up the next morning(she found me on the floor) and I told her grandpa was gone and she nearly passed out. She wanted to know how I knew. I couldn't explain it to her.
Yes I have had an out of body experience. For me I was sitting down at one of my jobs and all of a sudden I felt as though I was somewhere else doing something. When I finally came to I was really dizzy and had to close my eyes for a little while afterwards.
I have practiced astral projection. so yes i have had experiences where i can actually feel myself separate and begin to move about the house even though i never move from my chair it really creeps my roommates out when i tell them i saw them lol.
Awe OBE!
I have been successful in astral projection exercises even in relaxing exercises of meditation I did a lot obe.
but my first seen clearcut physical body was one nice incidence
My Grandma was on deah strature and my boss forcefully gave me paid leave. the third day of leave it was my third day of reading an decyphering the Holy Geeta. I was deeply thinking over one chaapter to unveil its coding... Those time I used to start reading Geeta with a invoking Call to all souls and forces of the Universe to get this reading through my inner and be benefitted from this, and if any cypher I am unable to break, please help me in knowing and learning that realm. and before start the Geeta, I used o connect my Cerebro-Conscious with the Cerebro-cConscious of my Grandma. by third day, mygrandma lost the power of opening eye and i think hearing too coz she did not open the eyes to the healing calls and asks from my Mom. My mom did great nursing to my grandma, each day she used to clean my grandma 6 time and it was 20th day of my grandma on bed and my third day of leave. I tried toconnect my cerebro-conscious with the help of deep subconscious and then used to start the reading very carefully with strong conscious which was alert and sincere most in understanding Geeta. Since the reading of Geeta is going on, the soul who in the ssphere of reading loses its evil and become goodside force and they rescued from the accidental becoming of spirit or ghost. This I was knowing from very long ago. this is the case of 1997. third dy i was thinking deeply over the chapter just red and thinking over it and grasping it, I went into half sleep mode unknowingly.
my attachment with grandma did turn my mind to grasp her pain she might be having all the pain during she turning very fast into the puss wall from inside and outside. Mom used to clean her puss forming and used to fill there soframycin (penicilin) six time a day and daily near by 200 gms 6 tubes being consumed after cleaning. thi was in my conscious and doctor already said that any time she will pass right 28 days ago when she was hospitalised and successful thigh bone operation to joint the broken bone. operation was successful but grandma lost her recovery system by her skin was infecting and not repairing again.
I was tried to feel her pain in that half sleep mode and surprisingly i was viewing my all canals and walls through my naked eyes. my intestine i was feeling and watching started forming puss and i ws feeling myself intoxicated of puss. within 15-20 minutes my each canals became lussy of puss and intestine started expelling and i realised that this is painless death inside me is growing and will take me within 20 minutes if i dont stop this. I came out of my insde and started watching my body and waited tll my bodystart expelling puss. It was surprising and i did see my body from each angle and from 7 feet above too. It was marvelous experience. suddenly my mind struck with the weave of my wife and kid they will be alone and miserable in absence of me, my duty towards them frightened me coz my wife could not work in any employment and even my duty was enough to get me sit up with lightening speed. next 5 days i was sick of stumock and my stool was puss green for next three days and you can imagine when your stool is the colour of puss for three days, how much quantity of puss you would build in the stumoch. this too was a realm to me. one loses all senses and pain too with that when the process of non reversable start in the body. it once reaches any canals the pain is lost then coz you already crossed the extreme.
Yes Honorable Vamplover astral is always done in ease and relaxing way with chakras aligned in one line and it is suggested that to collect a lot of happiness before falling to subconscious state so that OBE easily achieved with close eye lids.
when i was young, about 14, i thought i did. now i'm not so sure. it's hard to remeber them, wether they were wishfull dreams of an unhappy girl or not.
I've read a number of times, in a number of different books, that when you have the 'falling' sensation (it's always right before I wake up) that is you returning after an OBE.
I do now know how true that is, however, I have experienced that feeling many times. If I have experienced OBE or not, I don't know, I have never remembered very much before the falling sensation woke me.
my first OBE was when i was about 13 or so had a major fight with my mother i threw my self upon my bed and i wanted to die ...i hit my head i saw my body above me near the cieling and i saw my body on the bed at the same time.
i know OBE is something some can control and others cant ...i have a genuine question about OBE vs DREAMS how can one be confidently sure of a true OBE and that they were not just dreaming???? please send me messages in case i cant get back to this form if your gonna answer my question thank you
one time, a long time ago, i fell asleep in auto body class. my brain kept telling me to wake up, but my eyes wouldn't open and my arms and legs felt like lead. i could look down on myself in that classroom. it was weird.
I had an outer body experiance when I was Young. I was walking in downtown seattle, Wa and not having a clue where i was going.
dont count it out. but i never did and i almost died like 5 or 7 times lost count . am diabetic and when i go low is like closest thing becuse i dont remember thos times but people around me tell me i was acting nuts and say after some time fall down and they get me sugar and am fine after one hour . but i cant remember a thing is scary a little . becuse is like missing time in life time . or out of body you could say. thing is when i am that low my mind does not work at all so is like the rest of my body takes over and i do not know what i can do when i go low .
I actually did a report on OBE's for school and my teacher failed me saying that I was supposed to do it on something that can really happen. A lot of my friends went off on that.
But anyway, a few weeks ago I left my body when I was pissed. I was seriously thinking about ODing, obviously I 't but I had an OBE. Unlike all my others, I was walking the world in a really fast sped chanting the same lines as always, I really wish I remember the words.
I've never had a near-death out of body experience but I can produce one through meditation. It's really not that hard. It just requires emptiness of mind and a quiet place.
