In the thread I've been following on psy vamps this subject has come up and it made me start thinking. My great grandmother's aorta (this is the main artery leading from the heart) was critically damaged at some point. No one knew about thisuntil last year when they discovered she had grown a new one to replace it.
I wonder, if a chakra point or pathway were damaged, couldn't our chakra system "grow a new one"?
Now THIS promises to be an interesting discussion. My thanks for starting it.
If the energy body is damaged, the question is not whether it will grow a new chakra, but more how it will choose to compensate for said damage. Perhaps growing a new chakra is a possibility. I hadn't even thought of that outcome.
It is my belief that the energy body could possibly compensate for the damage in other ways which result in heightened awareness of energy. However, it would also automatically result in a heightened need for energy, because the plumbing of the subtle body doesn't work as efficiently as it used to.
I also wouldn't hesitate to mention that chakra damage causes some pretty major shifts in the effected person. As an energy worker, you can imagine what sufficient damage to a chakra could do to a person. I am most interested to see if there are some halfway intellectual responses to this one.
I didnt know you could grow a new aorta..sp sorry. But the damage caused by chakra misalignment can be amazing. It can also be healed
Humans have the ability to regenerate to a certain extent,in vampires this is enhanced. But i think it also has to do with the person, their will, and their genetic levels.mind over matter.
wow this is realy a good thread the human body can heal itself more then ppl think. I realy don't know that much about the chakra's in the human body. so i can't comment on it.
I know that when a person experiences dammage to the brain the neurons are able to reroute the fuctions of the affected areas to other sections of the brain. The function is restored (either completly or partially) but brain activity scand reveal the fuction taking place in an area of the brain different from that typically seen.
I see no reason why this would not also be the case with a body's energy systems. Perhaps the chacra's fuction is relocated to another area in the body. This would certainly take some time to accomplish (as with brain function rerouting) and there would likely be ill effects during the recovery process. The full ability level af the area may also be less than before the dammage occured.
Very interesting thread.
It is my opinion that since this aorta was damaged that the chakra in her body was able to slowly build a new one... over time mind you, so that shouldn't have altered energy consumption...
in a human body most of the healing takes place when they are asleep, which allows the body to work faster due to the use of less energy from other bodily functions
I agree with Jenove, the damage can be caused by the damage to the subtle bodies and eventually the chakras. I think is was the strength of the heart chakra that caused the regeneration if the vessel though. KCRC even though energy can shift as it does in our mundane world, in the world of chakras and energy work the energy damaged chakra can not shift it functions to other chakras it can onloy be healed.
That is insane. I never knew you could grow a new aorta...Just goes to show that the body can do amazing things to repair itself.
I would have to say that growing a new pathway for the energy would be one possibility. Another possible alternative would be the enhancement of the existing matrix.
One of the psychics (and a healer) at the fair (that my aunt runs) has a biofeedback device attatched to a laptop computer. She was saying that she could get rid of the residual energies of malaria attatched to my energy field using this device. I imagine that the process of regrowing damaged components might be as simple as restoring the chakras to a previous time and date. *chuckles*
She makes no such claims of course... it is illegal to give medical advice unless you have a piece of paper that says that you have been brainwashed by the pharmacutical companies.
Chakras have always interested me, I need to learn so much more than I currently know. I know next to nothing about the 8-12 chakras, and actually have some blockages in the lower 7 that I should deal with before attempting work on the upper anyway... *laughs again*
it is amazing how we can be broken and healed without even knowing it...
that is rather interesting.
in fact... i know it wouldn't happen like it did in the book i'm referring to... but if you get a chance to read RA Salvatore's The Highwayman it does touch on healing ones chakra...
I wouldn't necessarily say that repair of the chakra itself is the sole reason for the body to repair itself.
From a strictly scientific standpoint, one could argue that chemical processes within the body are the primary reason for internal (or even external) repair of bone, tissue, etc. In fact, I would guarantee that a hard-line scientist WOULD argue just that.
However, this is not to say that there isn't some power in the belief of empowerment of the chakra/prayer/meditation/etc. As a previous poster said, "mind over matter". We see it in pagan practices of the idea of empowerment - when your thoughts focus on a particular thing or event, it is given power. Some people won't like this inclusion as much, but it is apparent even in the words of Christ when he relates the parable of the mustard seed (basically, "if ye had but the faith of a mustard seed, ye could say unto a mountain 'move thee hence' and the mountain would move hence").
From the arugment that mental empowerment, conscious or sub-conscious, can heal a damaged chakra. I absolutely agree that such is possible. Bringing it down to the physical level, I also believe that an injury may be healed not only by mental empowerment, but streamlined biological processes.
There is always the colonic. Getting your Root Chakra cleansed is always beneficial to general health.
I WON'T be going that way anytime soon but the Pro's seem to think it's true.
I recommend just listening to some Chakra Khan......
IT WAS FUNNY DAMMIT!
Well there was a documentary about one of the astronauts who landed on the moon,
In it it describes how he lived through 4 heart attacks and a couple strokes,
After he died and they did an autopsy, they discovered that his body had grown double the required veins, and arteries from the heart than a normal human, after cutting into these veins and arteries they discovered that some of them were completly clogged with platlets... and others were clear....
so it describes his body growing new veins and arteries to make up for the ones that were clogged or damages from the heartattacks
I don't think the chakra can just magically grow a new one...I think it takes time personally
Stabb:> Accept it based on what you know personally? Or accept it based off what is still unknown about the subtle body? So far, people have cited some interesting cases in the physical body that astound even the hard core scientists. I wouldn't hesitate to say that there is a lot about the energy body that we don't "know" on a conscious level yet.
Perhaps somewhere in there we can find that the chakra that is damaged is capable of having its functions relegated to another system or another chakra.
As is, we barely understand the functioning of the individual chakras, much less the functions that they may perform in magick work, or energy manipulation. We have a good idea, but let's face it, a lot is speculation based of what we have read or personally experienced.
I would have to say that I have barely better than an acquaintance myself, except that I know that there is definitely something wrong with my heart chakra over all. Many energy workers have stated that to me, without any indication of "healing".
You are right though, I think it would take lifetimes to repair if at all. Most of what we learn about the chakra and subtle body are what we can intuit might be happening as well as "this seems to correspond with that". But for the most part, it is admittedly still a fairly inexact science.
On the basis of what is known about the chakra system, then yes, we have to assume that the rest of the energy body's ability to compensate for the functions of the damaged chakra would be limited. If I had been a serious energy worker prior to what happened to me, I might have a better view of how said damage has changed the way I interact with energy.
As it is, what I know now are what I've always consciously known since things happened and I started studying the subtle body.
lol Tinius....
i have never heard of an aorta healing itself before....
i am glad you put this thread up...it is very interesting....

In my opinion, I would think that instead of growing or healing, the chakra damage would cause us to compensate in other ways. It is like a person that is blind, has heightened hearing.... That is how I would think it would be. It may be possible to actually grow or regenerate another, but I dont know quite how that would work... As I always say though, anything is possible.
Maybe not grow a new one...but perhaps heal....I don't really know much on that.
I have been looking in to this can anyone find a list of the chakra's in the human body? maybe I am not looking in the right place but i can't seem to find one
Neodragon, try this site;

I think one of the main ways a chakra could recieve damage is if there is an energy blockage in the body. This can result in stored up energy which can cause pain in certain parts of the body, for example, the base of the back is a very common one. Yoga (especially the Sun Salutations) and meditation is one of the ways that one can relieve these problems.
Complicated Question.
A) A chakra cannot be replaced, its gone.
B) Technically speaking the body has literally thousands of chakras (energy centres) of which most humans posess 7 that are the 7 main energy centres. Humans with dragon tendencies (dont ask) have 8 extra chackras in their heart (varies). If ou knew what you were doing you could move a chakra into the position of the older (broken or missing) chakra, rebalance the 7 main chakras and then there would be 7 main chakras again. Keep in mind also that the heart chakra is attatched to every other chakra so that would be the quicked route to move the older chakra into the new position.
C) Anything is possible.
D) This is also hogwash and shapeshifting is a myth.
Does Human Body Evem Have Chakra? if so could we use this? Becasue Idk anyting about it.
Boy, could this get deep...I would like to think that if you can grow another part of an artery, or an aorta, you could certainly repair your own chakra.
