Why we are here.. PART 2
AND what Brings us here.. God (creation)... Do you believe in Darwins Bend on it..(evolution) Or Nostradamus', theory
Where Did the Angels come from if you believe in Darwin?
There are 3 principal stages for "evolution" of living organisms; Biological, Neurological & Epistemological (element & system). The Ingredients of 'life'.
Personally, I feel there IS an eye on nature.. Look at the Fish in the sea.. A Parrit Fish, Now, If you have seen one close up like I, in the sea, you'll KNOW how bizarelly akin the the 'Tree-Parrot' they ARE! We don't see the likeness because they are both CALLED parrots, so it isn't thought suggestion.
I just thank @whoever@ that we don't have any tree-sharks!!
Mind you, we have human-sharks! pffff..
Ok, enjoy this thread i look forward to your views.
KamarillaKane *spelling*
Thank you for your REALLY interesting post.
I find this fascinating...
And also that there has not YET been discovered ANYTHING that is 'between species'
We came from the sea.. from the theory of Evolution.
God created man and animals.. according to the Bible.
WE came from a plant matter according to Darwin
Going with Darwin on this one.Never did buy the Christian believe system.
Yea, i'm going to have to go with some kind of a mix on the two theories of creationism and evolution. There's clear evidence that evolution has taken place across the ages. Species evolve in order to better survive in their environment. However, I think some kind of divine force had to have started all of this in motion.
I think evolution makes sense, for animals that is. I believe that something interfered with our evolution...something that took us from neanderthal to cromagnon.....which is why there are few missing links.
I believe intelegent design and Darwanism should both be taught......all we need is to get rid of the religion aspect of it and track down those aliens that did this to us.(wink)
Ok about the above post......don't all of you get mad. I meant the bottom part as somewhat of a joke.
Though I admit much of it makes sense to me.
Besides Doesn't intelligent design make it sound like aliens created us?
I mean the basis of intelligent design is that we were created by a higher being, not god.
That our bodies are the work of an intelligent source.
What could be more un-god then if we were the product of genetic engineering plus you solve the evolution and creationism war once and for all.
I like the sound of that.
I don't believe in God so that's one theory discounted right off the bat. I can see how Darwins theory makes sense but hasn't it been widely discredited as it doesn't explain genetic traits and things being inherited?
I dont think we just appeared out of thin air, there has to be something that came first I think.
I did not know that VampiresxPrey. I haven't read anything of hers, is it just that book which discusses the combination of evolution and creationism, or do other books of hers approach this topic as well?
I believe that species evolve... but that species do not evolve from other species. The jump in awareness from mineral to plant; plant to animal; animal to man; man to buddha; is strictly a spiritual process. It would not occur without a god to assist in procreation. A man is created a man, with all his potentials and foci, whether we had a tail or not in the past does not alter that we always had a soul created in God's image.
it's an incorporation of both.... i believe we have evolved from what was once started by some form of a higher power.
i dont belive in god so thats 1 down but there is another thery that i heard a while ago it go like some other life in the universe helped us out with eveloution and becoming what we are to day but when we got so far thay stop helping us out so thats what i think.
the god thing "god created man in his image" so the bible says but we have evolutionised so what would be gods image? ape? pre-historic man? just my opinion.
not discovered anything that is between species ? like the armadillo you mean? or a lemur? or an axolotl? no we've never discovered any of those have we?
oh no we havnt. and science has discoverd the dolphin could have lived on land at one point. so could we have maybe lived in the sea? talk about that for evolution ay.
yep it is and if other animals are said to have evolutionsised why couldnt we. horses for example they were short with feet now they are tall with hoves.
look at the panda. it was once a bear, very much like a grizzley, and it's teeth and digestive system are that of a carnivore. yet they are no longer capable of hunting and rarely eat meat - for the most part surviving off bamboo shoots and egg foo yung
look at the shark it once used to be big and huge (megladon) then it changed to be a great white.
ok enough about animals.
okay - how about humans? we have evolved. we are different colours now. those that stayed in the hot sunny continents have darker skin, and those that settled in the colder northern lands have pale skin. this is an adaption to the conditions. it is nothing to do with scorching - it is a chemical in the skin that has developed gradually over thousands of years. natural selection means that those most suited to surviving in a certain environment will be more likely to successfully reproduce, and so pass on their more suitable genes. intelligent design is not necessary. if you roll balls into a gully, they will gather at the bottom. this is not because god thinks they look tidier that way, but because gravity draws them to the lowest point. if you carry an open bottle with the neck pointing up to the sky, the beer will stay in the bottle. there is nothing magical about this. anybody lost?
not that i know of.
now look at the god thing
7 days he created the world and stuff
but 7 days isnt a relistic time. in a day people barely have time to do everything let alone create a world in 7. so what if it wasnt days what if it was millions of years instead.
True, something had to come first. And, I have let my mind wander. This is where I wandered...
We know how old the earth is...in our years. We know how the earth started...they are working on recreation of the big bang in a laboratory in NY.
But, what came before the bang? Two particles collided in the vacumn of space and a planet formed? Where did these particles come from? God playing marbles? And where did space come from? Our universe? The untold number of universes we have yet to find...where did they come from? Here is my theory.
Further up the post someone said that the spirit travels. I have to agree with that statement. It has always been my belief that I am working through something all my life. And, that the something will allow me to move on.
I also believe we share a collective thought process. Being the same species and spirit type, we communicate on a level we are not consious of. This forms our universe...the collective thoughts of all of us.
And where did these thoughts of "God" come from? Cave drawings show us that ancient man believed in a "higher" power. Maybe there is a spirit that guides us all. Maybe there is a "God" (I prefer Goddess!) Maybe the only way to reach the level of "God" is to learn the lessons that your spirit needs to improve and advance. Maybe that is why man has been trying to emulate "God" since organized religion began...to speed up the process of getting to "God".
Or, maybe I am just thinking too much!!!
I am going with Darwin on this one. For some reason i cant belive the christian take on how we were created. I think it was evolution...
I don't think there is that much stock in the evolution theory to this day scientist still have not been able to find the "missing link" that would make evolution a viable idea and experiments have been done to test the theory of evolution on a fruit fly they worked on mutating a fruit fly so many times to see if they could get it to evolve into something else but no matter how many times they did it the genetic structure of it was still a fruit fly.
If you don't like my opinion please just say so instead of deleting my opinion cause that is all it is.
I think that we got here by god creating all of us thats what i think.
honestly , i have no idea...some people say evolution...some say god...but..then how did god get there...people say he has been there FOREVER but how is that possible....i don't think there will ever be a simple answer to a question like this...but the discussion is interesting
I find myself questioning my faith quite a bit, I don't question so much as why we are here, so much as why are we still alive, how is it we have just enough common sense to not nuke one another or completely destroy the planets life, yet have these same people with enough about them to not end us all, yet still want to war with one another and kill so many people who are not even involved.
lol I have a mixture of just about everything in my thoughts of this. No one really knows..which sucks!
The human race has definitely evolved, and is continuing to do so all the time. However i am not sure that that proves we evolved from something specific in the first place does it?
personaly i think that there was a time and place before our time and that caused the big bang.
While I'm not a Christian and don't choose to worship the Christian God, I certainly don't buy the Darwin theory of evolution. To me, the most logical theory around would be that of creative evolution, which is actually a rather largely followed Christian theory.
And I would just like to point out to those who "don't believe in God"...just because you don't believe, doesn't mean it isn't true. Now, I'm not saying it is or that He exists - just remember, some things don't require your belief to be real.
Never said they did, but surely i'm as entitled to my opinion for not believing in God as those who do?
Karnstein.. when i said 'inbetween species' I meant from Aqua-lung to Air-lung.
Nothing Inbetween Ape and Human.
THAT'S what I mean.
On aqua lung/air lung... in between species.
Any shell fish, any crab, starfish...
but even if there werne't creatures who can live above and below water, that's kind of missing th e"point," (if there is one) of evolution.
Concerning the beginning of origin, a god creating the univers (god/dess team, combo, whatev) is as likely as a gryffin or the matrix being real or so forth and so on. Sure it's possible. But it's just as possible that matter popped up on it's own out of nowhere, according to chaos thoery or something similar along those line, or what have you.
evolution is now a vital part of geology, biology, chemistry, so forth and so on. evolution within a species is completely proven as much as a theory CAN be in science (i.e. gravity).
I'm just not sure if not have a hardcore explanation for the origin of life disqualifies the whole theory.
You can see I tend to support the Scientific Naturalism point of view here, including evolution and atheism. I do not, in the words of a favroed scintist, need God for my hypothesis of existence.
:-) My 2 & 1/2 cents.
ok my question to all people that believe that god created everything "if god created everything who created god to make everything in the first place?"
SororSF..
Thank you for your input...
Although I am totally open about all theories here...
The point that would make SENSE to evolution is the missing 'links' to be filled for the evolution theories to make FULL sense to me. Hmm. shell fish.. Crabs.. OK.. they can breathe out of water.
Would you say they are the link Between Gills and Lung?
The link between ape and Human is yet to be Discovered too...
Ape has one Gene Less than Human.. somehow.. if we are linked with Ape. we formed ANOTHER gene!!
I believe strongly in Evolution....I 'm not gonna believe if you tell me that i am an oofspring because my oldest ancestor came from the rib of some doof.Thats just plain stupid.Christanity today has made itself a mockery of itself. In this day and age when people are getting smarter a sensible person or should i say A Goth won't believe any crap they come up with.Jesus was a mortal, not a god.Maybe he was an Extraordinary individual who binded people together...Christanity origanally was a lot like paganism but through the ages the church changed all that,Destroyed all the old proof and started a new yarn.....And i do strongly believe that Aliens did visit our planet and passed on some knowledge to us.How else did the Egyptians move those stones which were about 100 tonnes. How come in Egyptian,Mayan and Aztec art we see a lot of spaceships and strange looking creatures coming from the sky.....
And please excuse me for the spelling mistakes up there.I wrote it pretty fast and i didn't look.I apologize....
I don't believe in "God". I don't believe we evolved from monkeys neither. I think there was a huge explosion that created a single cell amoeba that adapted to its surroundings and evolved to several different kinds of single celled amoebas. Then there were more cells, and we were all fish or lizards and here we are. Tada! but everyone just wants to make money so what a waste : /
oh and I think aliens helped guide the evolution of our thinking ;)
honeslty i dont no bith piost good theroies , i just dont no
Gautham.. thank you!!
I agree that back in the day.. jesus was an outstanding character.. He was also a Descendant of King David (1st?) So, his reasons for his suffering COULD have been to 'get him out of the way' and his 'disciples' made the Bible.. Perhaps... I wasn't there, So I can't comment, Honestly on that.
I can onlt speak of what knowledge I do have on this, and give my opinion.
As for Jesus having only 50% of a Human DNA (from evidence of the place he was crucified.. I'm dubious)
He couldn't surely have lived as a human-being...
There is definately an eye on nature though.
I know not, of any 'pointless' animals.. they ALL seem to have a 'task' to do, that create a chain.
I find the most incredible animal HAS to be the Elephant..They Actually walk on tip-toe.. their feet are 'pads of fat & grissle' they do not stomp, they are quite silent when they walk.
They are wonderful parents.
They NEVER forget a thing. They feel true, sorrow when they lose one of their herd, They try to wake them up.
Was it Darwin that snubbed his own philosophy before he died or Am i thinking of L.Ron Hubbard....
To live to Breed to raise young, to die, seems TOO simple for the amount of creativity put upon this planet.. or even, solar system!!
Jesus was a human being. He had certain beliefs and he started preaching them. But the real evil was the church. They made him to be a god.Whenever evidence came to proove otherwise the church took care of them as in whacked them out.Constantine was a pagan At first but he saw Christianity growing and he simply picked the winning side.
And as for the evolution Charles Darwins theory does seem believable
i would have to go with the Darwin way cause i really dont and cant beleive in the christion way of thinkin on how we were created so evolution all the way
