My blood sister told me when she met me that I was a ''white light''. According to her, white light is the name for people who are not exactly witches but great sources of ''pure'' energy that witches use to empower themselves even more...

Has anyone in here heard that before or something similar to this?

Do you believe that this is something real, that some people are really ''white lights''?

out here, the term white light or white lighter is actually an insult used for someone that sees the world in black and white/good and evil only and is thinks that everyone that works in the arts should be using the healing arts or only white/good magic. it's also refered to people that don't want to see that they have a dark side.

I have not heard that term so much but the idea yes. I know there are many people that just them being with me when I am casting a spell does wonderous things for me in helping boosting my energy.

Ok, didn't know that... Damn! The same name for two totally different things...

Well has anyone heard for an ability which fits the description..? Forget the name!

White light, I've heard of them before.. But I was no away witches used them to empower themselves.. I thought they were healers.. Shows what I know.

Honestally I am not sure what you would call it. Other than as vampires have an absence of energy ( in my view that is why we need to feed) Others have a great deal more energy. The light or dark is a personal option of the person as a rule... a reflection of how they are in personality.

I agree with you FelineFalco... I would most certainly prefer any other colour but white to characterise me cause i feel i have almost nothing to do with it...

well I believe when they said white.. they were being nice.. meaning non evil lol.. after all for some reason most equate white with good. I personally do not get that, but they do.

BTW I think its a wonderful trait to have lol makes you very nice to be around for those of us that need energy lol. Just be careful not every one is as strict in how they feed or use other peoples energy. Some see it as a if I can take it.. why shouldn't I thing.

Unfortunately in the past I have encountered many persons who fed on me without any limitation. I had to leave the room or the place in order to make the procedure stop since I couldn't protect myself differently. My guess is that most of them didn't even realise what they were doing but they literally brought me to my knees... I got terrible headaches and in some cases that was just the beginning... Recovering was really hard...

nods I have only done that to someone once when I was first learning to take energy not in blood.. and I felt so bad.. its so against my beliefs... I still say I am sorry to him.. and he thinks I am insane for it effecting me that bad lol

In Spiritualists terms such people are somtimes called generators.....simply means they have a good and plentiful source of energy.

i personally think i'd be a little insulted to be " someone elses source of strength". she should be her own strenth.

I have honestly never heard the term "White Lighter" except in Charmed. I've heard of the energy part but not the term. Not like that.

I can not speak for the one she was talking about but I am one that will use others energy to boost my own for spell casting.. notice I said boost... no one can give me the power to do something .. they can aid me.. but if I do not have it to start the spell or what ever it will not work.

hmm, this one is interesting. I'd say that if someone ever crossed paths with me as a white light, I'd see them as a positive creature with a pure, clean soul. I'd probably even see them as an angel, more than anything

In truth,and forgive me if I am way off here,but to me,Magic or majick energy itself is neither good nor evil.It all feels exactly the same to me when it is doing its own thing,just blowing in different directions.And in reality,is it not simply the manner in which the two energy forces that are polar opposites in sphere are manipulated.?.What makes one good or bad,is the user's thought energy which is blended into it via ritual,ceremony or what ever other technique they use ?.

i think there are such individuals who carry a strong amount of energy but to be called a white lighter sounds so cenema to me.. but i think it is possible

I wouldn't take it if some Fluffy Bunny (tm) called me a White Lighter. ;) (that was a joke) It can be a sort of derogetory name for someone who is all light and happiness and occosionally the Thou-Shalt-Nots. But possibly not in this case since you said something about witches drawing power from a person who is a white light.

To a witch white light has not yet been attuned to any sort of purpose yet, so it is very flexible. It is also very rare to find a person who has an aura that is all white... peculiar even. But if there are witches who are pulling all of someone's energies and using them as nothing more than a battery for their magic--bad.....very bad..... First of all, there is probably a little denial as to whether they are witch or vampire, but that is just an opinion. Don't let someone tell you that you have to act as their battery, or donor, against yoru will. And you should know that most vamps treat their donors, blood or prana, better than my old High Priestess treated the people she used and used up. Oh, there's my jaded side coming out again...

i think if you feel you have such energy you should learn to use it and make it stronger by tapping into gifts that you may have.

I have heard to a sort of cleansing spell, more resembling scrubbing bubbles type of effect, and the visual presence of the energy was white light emenating from little orbs as it purged energy from what it was cleaninig. But thats chaos magick for ya, so it might not have any bearing on this.

hmmm....come to think of it, do you know where she got her information to begin with? and searching online esoteric archives for terms might help as well. It could be just a manifest of your aura. As are horns manifest for mine, and wings for a friend. It could just be how your presence was and she caught a glimpse of it when she first met you.....that has been known to happen as well as the mindset your in at the time of meeting.

I've never heard of this defintion of 'white light' before. My previous definition came from a song in German where they sang about the 'white light', but it referred to the light people see when one dies and passes to the afterlife. Still quite an interesting topic, I will keep my eyes on this one.

White light is just that a sign of purity, I am native and wiccan and I do not feel there are White Lighters Yet I do believe in good spirits with white energy around them.

Yet again you have to be careful not to be fooled by one whom wants to tap into you pure energy. It all comes down to your belief and strenght in that belief. That is how I feel

Healers are green light. White is pure innocent power for use to help others. Use is well or it back fires on you.

I have heard of something similar to "white light" before. I have been told that my mother is like that "white witch", and that I am what is called a Blood Witch ( someone of red magik able to use black magik). I am not sure how much of this I belive now, exspecially since I was told this many years ago, but i am always open minded about things until proven otherwise.

I've never heard it used like that but it does make sense but it also has other meanings. I can't say that your sister was wrong but as for the type of energy we all have dark and white just some people never explore both sides but both types of energy have their uses. Sorry that I couldn't really help.

I dont think anyone could be called pure and as such a white light/lighter. I think a lot of it does come from charmed but again it real depends on ur beliefs and thoughts

white is the color choose for good and pure. if you are allways helping people i bet you have a white halo around you.

Not being a pagan or wiccan I can't really say much but it was my belief out of what I've read her and things I've studied that and kind of 'light' only revolved around aura mainly pertaining to emotional well being which can affect ones powers to a certain extent depending on the color and kind. I've never heard of any other use for it while I've been here.

If I accept what RavenKnight and most of you offer as a definition of what a white light is, then I am not it. You see I acknowledge the existence of negative magick as well as negative intentions. I have even used it.

My world is not a white one and i don't put labels on persons or actions. I am not judgemental. And i keep myself open to everything...

My sister knew that and i feel you should too.

The things you said about healing on the other hand stand. It is a gift that I had since a little girl but I only came to realise it and use it in purpose only a few years ago. Nevertheless I believe that anyone can achieve that and send positive energy that will help someone heal.

its always possible that they exsist. i always thought white lights were more like angels sent from a higher sorce of power to guide young witches or worlocks. but i think those are white lighters. i wonder if they are one in the same. now thats worth looking into

I have never heard of anyone being called a white light. I have heard of people saying they see little white lights surrounding a person. This is supposed to mean that they are in tune with their psychic self, or something along those lines.

I honestly don't know what a white light is, but now I do want to find out. It probably is something relatively real.
Like a magical power passed down, or something cool and mystical like that.

My mentor sees me with something similar but it's not a white light. It's a light blur. He says it's because I am more in tune with the energy of the universe than most and it might be the cause of my autism.

I have never really heard the word before, but I have heard of some people that posess alot of energy being it pure or evil I have also heard is up to the person entirely. I think that means it can be either depending on how it is used.
