This would be very socially responsible of them... especially if the Republicans manage to get health insurance providers to stop covering oral contraceptives for women...

Maybe it's just me... but despite how badly human kind has stated we want to get ahead, and grow, and solve the world's problems.... our leadership through the ages sure seems to come up with new problems faster than they can solve the old ones.
I guess it is something that has worked through the ages - the motto of leadership, whether it be a religion, a government or a military...

Fact: Those who are in power want to remain in power. Power corrupts, it intoxicates the mind and reason it once held. Were a revolution to occur it would change nothing of the nature of mankind and the misuse of power. Still, it would be a fresh face on an old enemy. At least for a little while the enemy would be less...conniving and all powerful.
I guess the real shame of it is, when you have a situation where the leadership is dedicated to the betterment of society, advancement of intellectualism and things start going on the right path - that leadership is more often than not quickly usurped by a bunch of greedy, power hungry douche-bags.

When a local artists group has a website that looks like it was last updated in 1998 using Front Page.
Oddly enough I was talking tonight with local artists with the same issues. They either had crappy sites or none at all. When I asked the ones who did have sites or sold online they always said sales increased a bunch. Not rocket science after all.
The first question many artists get today according to 8 of the artists I spoke to tonight was "Do you have a website?", it makes sense in this age to have one that reflects your artistry in all aspects.
Exactly. You're not just marketing your work, but your creativity - your concepts - your image.
This isn't like taking your ugly friend out to the singles bars with you so you look better, your art will NOT be as attractive if you can't draw the viewer in with the presentation.
