I feel too often kindness is preferred over honesty and loyalty. You seem to understand the importance of the later to, and understand even more greatly that loyalty to either persons or aspects (forest, moon, etc) can only be connected emotionally, and those things that cannot be connected emotionally can fade because they matter, so much less. If I have assume too far, I appologize, though I felt the need to leave a comment I felt was more personal.
