hahaha! I know this is funny!
but since were in a vampire community and of course blood is MAINLY associated with US...so blood type..
I have (believe it or not) AB- it's rare..my nurse said so..
What's YOURS?
O- as an unfortunate balance of what my parents are :| least if I need blood both my siblings are the same!!
I'm with Nic
O RHD Neg.... lucky us.. only 9% have this type.. we can give to anyone but can only take our own.....
And when we get knocked up, we need extra shots if the man is a +....
im A+ now if only my blood type could count as my grades
AB NEGATIVE. Im a weirdo, what can I say. But yes, it is a rare blood type. O- is a universal type, everyone can accept that, but those who have it can only take their own type. Weird, isnt it, Morey? ANYWHO. AB- is the most rare blood type in the world, that Im aware of... correct me if Im wrong, my feet don't fit to well in my mouth. >=)
~K~
Well I'm not to sure what I am, I think my dad is A+ and my mom is O+.. but I'm not entirely sure if thats what they are so I don't know what that would make me! lol
As with a few others, I'm also AB-............another thing to thank mom and dad for.
YOu are right Khayman, less than 2% of the population have yours (and Quin) blood type.
You are much sort after!!
Mine and Nic's is number 2 on the rakin from memory...
B+
As in "Be Positive"... a sick cosmic joke for a goth, I think.
D
I am amazed that so many people here know their blood type. I certainly don't know mine. In my experience it's mostly hypochondriacs that know this type of stuff.
I guess Janette and I are the normal ones.... (Maybe that's not such a good thing either)
In my day and age....
We all typed our blood in sophomore biology..adn if you have ever had a child you know it.. and ever been inthe military...or donated..its on your little card..
O+ for me...
I had biology in 9th grade (That would be 18 years ago)... All I remember is dissecting earthworms, frogs, and perch. Don't remember blood typing myself.
I was in the military. I don't remember my blood type. I am sure it was recorded in my government file...
I've never given birth...
I've donated both blood and plasma. Was never asked for a blood type. I am sure it was recorded after I was done. I don't remember any card. The Red Cross did put a sticker on me once that was off before I hit the door...
I have had 2 medical admissions. One for a drug overdose and the other for cutting off a finger. I don't remember being told my blood type.
When you and I were teens Scarlett, blood tests were required before marriage. That hasn't been the case for a long time. And I have never been married anyway...
I still think it is more unusual to know your blood type than not to know. However this thread is proving me wrong.
Well, I discovered mine when I had to have a transfusion of about 5 units of blood. They asked me if I knew my blood type, and I did not then, so they had to type me before. But I asked them what it was after they filled me up like a gas guzzler.
D
Just for the record.... I know my blood type coz I'm a donor... I give blood every 2 months ... so no hypo.. can't even spell it hahahahh
Good little life saving soul I am >:)
I'm in the red cross...so that's why I know! :P
Oh yeah, Biology's good...we didn't have the blood type when I was in high school..and now that I'm in college..we have to look at sperm and egg cells under microscopes..and of course...frog dissecting!!!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! :P
I know mine cuz I work for the YMCA .. we were all blood typed and finger printed. Thats how I found out my sister and I can use each other >=] I don't give blood cuz befor the recommended tyme to wait after a piercing or tat I get something else done lol. and I don't do to well giving blood :/ its mine and I wanna keep the stuff in me thanks!!
Amen Nicnivian!
Don't wanna give my precious blo0d!! to anyone!
:P
B+, i know it is average, but, if I ever require a transfusion, the blood is there. Yea for me!
I have abso-fucking-lutely no idea... I've had blood work done before, but I don't know. Oh well...
A+ .... the same as my husband ... so guess what our children will have ...
I know mine from giving blood, its on my donor card.. after having an uncle who lives today because someone was in this world and on their way out they donated a heart ...i make sure i give blood ... even if they make me stay there for 3 hours to make sure i am ok because of my low iron count
Cancer .. I think I found out more about you in this little post than i have in the 6 yrs I have "known" you
Learned mine through various misadventures. Needing a transfusion will teach you a bundle in a hurry. ;)
So far we've had 20 responses. 17 know their type. 3 don't...
Another theory going down in flames...
*OR* only the people who know their type are posting...
*OR* because this is a vampire site a disproportionate number of people know their own blood type...
No clue.. I donate blood on a regular basis, I never asked and never told me. I have been a patient in hospital recently, still didnt know from there neither. Hmm, maybe its a good thing to know? I mean what if there is an accident and you have a rare blood type and no typing facilities?
Lets see... The only thing in biology i disected was a frong ( only thing i learned from that was how to make a dead one jump with a nine volt battery).
I was never in the military, though not for lack of tryin. I always wanted to be a P.I. D.I. "Wrong sand flea...."
I have never given birth.. and have been told I probably never will. Apparently I have entirely WAAAYY too much testosterone in my system. Its a condition called Polycyctic Ovary Syndrome.
I have donated blood before but THEY never told me what type I was. I figured it out through injuries and jackin' my own file from the E.R. Thats a big bitch too... good read though=) Makes me giggle....
Oh, and Cancer.... Look at the site we're on, sugar=) I do believe it would be the latter of the three, darling=)
~K~
forgive my typos.... thats FROG and POLYCYSTIC .... half inch nails cause typos.... but you people know what i mean=)
O+ but I have very severe anaemia so my blood tastes very blah, it lacks the goodness of Iron ;) I'm also not allowed to donate blood or drain lots of it. Damn.
B+ ...much better than any grade point average I may have ever gotten!
You know Daire... that could refer to many thinks... and I'm trying not to let my mind wander...
Leaping before looking has gotten me the tour of more than one emergency room, but ino one ever told me my blood type. I finally had to ask one of the doctor's during my last ER visit. BTW it's O+.
B-
I donated blood and sold plasma. I needed money for some concert tickets.
I have no idea what my blood type is.
I could always find out, but I'm too lazy to.
I am interested though.

I'm not sure what my blood type is. I don't know any of my familys, what I can tell you is I have an iron defiancey, and from the iron deficancey I am very pale.
I'm going to try and find out a little later. I'm too tired to go hunting for this right now.
I want to say O, but I could be wrong.
I am absolutley a b+... o's are very interesting creatures!!!
O+ but that doesnt matter because i never let anyone have any..im a stingy bugger like that..
now on the otherhand if anyone wants to donate some to me im AALWAYS happy to take 1-2 tsp (for medicinal purposes of course!)
I want to say O- positive. I'll ask my mom (nurse) when she gets home.
Too lazy to find the paperwork, still.

Well I too do not know...I never thought of it enough to care...But now I think I may look into it... Blahh..
Mine's on my dog tag...I only have to officially wear it for another year and a half.... O+
I think I'm AB+ not sure on that it's been a few years so have to look it up,
