i want to know why people come here what makes VR so special to you i know what it does for me what does it do for you...

well to me vr is a place where i can finaly be myself and not be judged

cuz im forced to come here lol um no but its cuz its a wonderful place and theres so many interesting things and people.

To me, Vampire Rave is a haven for my sanity. It is a useful resource to learn about darker realms of life. It unites individuals from all over the world to share their knowledge and experiences about Goth/paranormal/or the occult ( among other things).

It is a beautiful place permeated with wonderful people

One day typed in the word vampire and clothing togther on google and wound up here...Found the site very unique... Read a little bit of what some people had posted found a lot of common interest and stayed...

for me i found friends here ppl that actually understand.

I like being with a group of people where, for once, I am not the odd ball. People here are a lot a like, going through some of the same things.

As to what initially brought me here? A random click, if you will. But then, there are no random things in this world.

i was brought here through imagination its like magic but its not, its like speacial effects but its not, its like an illusion but its not.... well anyways its fun here!

I just came here one day out of curiosity. Found out who I am about 2 weeks after I got here, so this site is special to me. Plus, the people are kind here... and they aren't afraid to speak their minds, which is good.

Moreish told me I would like it. So far she's right though I'm still looking for something more I can't put my finger on yet...

I love the fact I can chat with people like you and get paid 15 dollars an hour for it! LMAO! Plus I'm always on at work so it gives my mind to speak with others before I go to my home in the corn fields of Indiana. Plus there's a bunch of people on here that I would seriously call a good friend, Nothing I have ever really had in my everyday life. I guess the same as every post above me? I'm drunk. ;)>

Found the site while doing a search and decided to try it on for size. I am impressed with all the knowledge and wisdom floating around here. I get the sense that I can be myself here and continue learing and growing. ~Lady~

My brother told me about this place and I tried it and "fell in love" into VR.
I like this way of spending my free time, relaxing here by talking or discussing...
Meeting new ppl.....
Simply the VR itself and whole keeps me here, and also new friends.

to make friends with people that have the same Interest as me, and not feel weird about it....

Living in a small town filled with smallminded people, and coming online to find most sites infested with people very similar to that which I find myself surrounded by...it made me yearn for something darker to indulge in, and being a vampyre, finding a site filled with those likeminded or atleast having an interest and respect for vampyrism, happened to ease that yearning, for I had found a place worth staying with, and met some very interesting people along the way. What keeps me coming back is the people I know I will keep meeting, with nasty people are a minimum, much better than those sites where you know if you mention the word vampyre you'll have people practically chasing you with stakes... *sighs* Anyway very well done. and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. You guys are stuck with me.

I have a dark streak, and I was looking for a place to find like minded people. So far i have not been dissapointed.

By invitation...Miss Scarlett invited me and also I have been around #vampires at undernet..and yeah, I wanna learn more about vampires, vampirism and of course meet new people!

i was in chat one day and a girl told me about this site. can't remember who she was but after checking it out, i met a few cool people on here, and that's the whole reason i'm here anyway.

I came on when I stumbled across the site. I decided to try it out. I like things that are unexplainable and people try to explain them. It gets interesting. This place has a lot of cool people and I decided to stay. Congrats to everyone who convinced me.

Its a place for learning, sharing experienced with others, anbd keeping in touch with people for me. I love discussing topics, so I find some of the threads really interesting. Its a chance to get away form uni for an hour or two.

I stumbled on this site as i was searchihg for some books about vampires. Well, I got here, and liked it.
Now it is more than a thing i like.I love it!
I think that most of us here are addicted to the Rave.
I like this place `cos everybody can be themselfes or not be, if they choose they can be what ever they want. So we have the total freedom here, and this place gadders people of the similar or the same interests, so we all can find a person to talk to, some of us have the same problems...
So , Google brought me to VR, and VR keeps me here.

I love the people, the knowledge, the resources, the profiles, the freedom and the lack of lonlyness, plus you get something to show for the time you spend on here. People are respectful for the most part and when your from nowhere, its also something to do.

In all honesty I found this site while searching for other things. I now visit VR to meet new people that share a common interest in vampires. I have met some very nice people so far and really enjoy it, I can be myself without anyone thinking I was weird or something.

it all started when i typed the word "vampire" on a search engine. "vampire rave" was the first thing that popped up so i cheked it out. i got hooked & still am. & i talk to ppl here more than i talk at school, which surprises me cus i'm very quiet, lol.

Funny thing happened with me: I thought that all the people who sit in in front of a computer whole day and try to find someone on the net to talk with are pathetic losers, never had the faintest idea that I could find a cool person on the net and I never searched for any. But after I registered I got addicted. VR is a small virtual world and I like exploring new worlds

My buddy and dear friend, VampguyX invited me and I got addicted right away. This place is my drug of choice or my anti-drug...whatever works. I stay to learn more about the people in the world and about vampires and anything else that comes up in conversation.

I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. It has proved to be a great site to learn and gater information about vampirism. I have learned new skills in HTML, which leads to further improvements in my never ending quest for improving my life skills.

Not to mention i have found (again) a very special person, many sun sets have past, many tears shed, many hunts i have bled, akin to the undead..

I have known Cancer for over Ten years and we have supported each other through them. So why did I come here? To support a friend and enjoy the people that come here.

i got this site frome my friend jorj. he told me that was biten several times( and i was confused at first but then he showed me what he meant) and thats how i was brought to this cool site.

i come here because i enjoy it and the ppl on here are nice

I came to this site to meet new people who are intereested in subject matters as myself! I must say I have a few close friends and a mother I am thankful for!

Well, for me it's all the cool interesting people on this site and plus i's something fun to do when you cant get to sleep at night. Oh and it's a place where i can be me and not be the weirdest person here.

My girlfriend brought me to VR. i saw her on in and she suggested i join.

In the past i used to go on a pretty happy forum on the game Project Rockstar. i was an admin for over 2 years. helped run the game AND moderate the forums with well over 100,000 accounts.

But in the end the forum got over-run with 14 year old kiddies. annoying little twits who posting crap. The last straw was when i blocked one of the ringleaders for a good reason. most of the famous faces attacked me. nobody backed me. Then another admin stepped in and said i was right.

it all calmed down. but it is since flooded with crap and rubbish.

VR was a fresh change for me. It was far more intellectual than PR and it held a huge sense of mystery.

now... the mystery is gone ever so slightly and it seems like kiddies are going to over-run this place too.

it's a shame because i can't stand the PR forums anymore because of what they have become...

i'm wondering where this forums going to be in the next few months...

so that's how i was brought here... what keeps me here is because it's a decent forum, i'd rather it not decend into idiocy but alas it might happen. i believe some of the longer standing members have the same thoughts...

Heh. Well actually I found out about this place because a friend sent me a link to a profile belonging to someone that she was mad at, as a means of exlaining a story...I started clicking on other links on the page and got hooked. It's been a while since I got immersed in an internet world and it feels good. A familiar distraction from my real life which is a little repetative and hectic at the moment.

I find myself real angry alot of the time. For some reason this site really takes that away. I just needed an addiction that really interests me, and i have found that in VR.

Well it's an outlet for a part of my personality whch most people wouldn't accept contact with like minded individuals stops me going mad! (bibble bibble spaff boingly boing)!

I bring openess and myself which is represented trough my poetry/ art(haven't posted them yet). And I guess I bring questions lots of questions about life and so on. Did i note i like learning new perspectives and ways of seeing things

Honestly? I'm not sure what brought me to VR.
I think I was looking at vamp sites and this one grabbed my interest.
I know I stayed cause so far it seams to be a decent place to talk to like minded peeps.

what brought me to VR eh? well, I happened to notice the site on a profile i was reading on another site. I looked it up and found VR to be very interesting and definately to my liking and so i decided to stay....

I found this site by accident. I thought it looked interesting so I saved it to my favorites. I forgot about it. When I was going through my favorites list and deleting sites I no longer went to, I found it and came to it. I have been learning all I can about vampires for a long time now and I have found alot of interesting information here that I don't believe I would have found otherwise. Also, the people here are great and my friends are what keeps me here.

I don't really -have- a reason, but now that I'm here, I can't seem to leave...

i am here to meet other people and so far i have met lots and i am glad this place is full of good people a lil misunderstood some a lil weird but who isnt in theyre own way???

Honestly stay for the people of similar mind sets and interests though.

at first i was very skeptical about the VR and my 2 best friends kept telling me about it and they'd talk about it for hours untill finally i made my account and joined. now i see what all of their rucus was about and i'm officially addicted!

out of all the sites i have been to, i now find this one the best, i have yet to come across any assholes. everyone just seems to be themselves and accept others. its hard to find many other people who just say hi to someone for joining and not know anything about them.

I stumbled upon VR on mistake and it was one of the best mistakes I made. I really fell like I relate to the people here and that I actually fit it.

I used to be a part of the #vampire irc channel, and in looking for their website one day to see if it still was up and running, I came across a link to VR.
Seeing that it too was something of Cancer's, I decided to join.
