...ROCKS!!!
...i went into the theatre today after having perused the yahoo.com movie critics pages, and i was careful not to be too eager to love this flick. BUT. i can't help it! this movie IS really GOOD. it is scary! and i *love* scary. and, believe me, i don't scare easy. so...
...do go see it and let us know whatchu think. :)
I saw it last night and i agree it was a very good movie
Well since you said it was so good, I'm going to have to take your advice and go see it.
it was a fun movie.
i wasn't expecting much from it. i mostly went because some freinds of mine are in it.
i didnt really hear to much about it, i had no idea it is a scary movie. makes me want to see it even more.
I haven't heard much about it, don't even really know what it's about, but from what I've heard, it must be -really- good. I'm definately planning on going to see it. It's on my 'must see' list. ^_^
...oh ya! this movie really creEped me out! the funny thing was after me and my SO walked out of the theater, we were all lokkin' up in the sky going "...WTF!!!" heheheh! i love when a movie makes me walk out of the theatre thinking about what if it happened for real?
...the score was really good - not in a hip-hop or fashionable way, but in the way that it carried the mood right on thru the thing. fantastic score! Cruise was right on and Fanning incredible! 8)
i have heard so much about it...... i'll have to wait till it comes out to rent it.... ^_^
still can't wait till i see it.....
sorry but i think that movie sucked....and it was loud....i mean ya that would be freakin scary as hell if that really happend in life but i thought it was kinda stupid but hey thats just my opinion
It sounds interesting, I should go and see it on my own eyes.
i heard it sucked but i think i'll just rent it when it comes out.
I will go today or tomorrow, I'll let you know what I think of it ;)
I loved the original....god I can't wait to see the new one!!
Five things about War of the Worlds
1- cute aliens = not scary.
2- handy snack packs = mildly scary.
3- Tim Robbins = much better than Tom Cruise.
4- special effects = amazing
5- dakota fannings screamin the whole movie = irritating
Good movie. Would recommend to watch it. Not something I would run to the theatre to see though.
I went to the Drive in last night to watch it (cuz the sound in my friends car is way better then a theatre ... and mycar is still stuck in the fricken driveway) I really liked the noises and the special effects ... I was very disappointed to find out that H.R.Giger did NOT do the aliens *pouts* but either way I was in awe of the noise and carnage hehehhe
it looks interesting, i will positively go to see it myself.
it was awesome. at first I didnt think it was going to be that good. but it was ^^
I'm going to watch this next wkend.........sounds cracking
so many mixed reviews from everyone. i will have to see it myself soon. i hope its as good as some of you are saying
Well my best friend wanted to see it together but i didn think that was a good ideea so i choosed another movie but neaw i want to see it hope to be a good choice.
Saw it last night, the concept is amazing..loved the effects and the aliens were remininsent of the ones in Independance Day..loved it!
the original rocked i loved it alot.
im seeing the remake on sunday with my mom. it looks really good from what i saw from the previews.
no its not a seaqual(sp?) its just a remake of the original war of the worlds. theres been a few remakes of it
o i dont think i saw any thing on tv bout it...but i want to see the cute alien lol
wow... looks like everybody is going to the movies.... hahahahaha.... shut up...
LOL carkilla cracks me up sometime; of course, theres those othertimes........
as for the movie: it'll roll around, this is the year of the bootlegger lol hell i reside in cali
-excuse my exhaust pipe
I went to see the movie yesterday. It was awesome. Tom Cruise was great.
Well i ve seen it and didn t like it to much i must say i m disapointed so it depends from person to person"
please let tom die in the movie......lol I hear its good I may go see it tonight.
...my SO and i said on the way home from seeing this move "...can you imagine when HG Wells did this on the radio and everyone listening thought it was REALLY HAPPENING!? ohmygod! " i think it would be cool to have been aware/alive duting that time. i thought Robbins was good on it too. :)
i saw this movie a few days ago. it was suspensfull at most. it had a pretty cute dude in it (robby ithink his name was). i liked all the blood. and some things in the movie were just down right clever. it was cool cuz it made me think about what i would do if that happened to me. it was funny cuz i left the movie theatre thinking that i was still in the movie and we were under attack by aliens lol. if your a skeptic then i really dont know what youll think about it but for the most part, it was a good movie
i have just gotten back from seeing this movie ... let me just say that i had to hide my head about 15 times in my friends chest and he laughed throughout the whole movie.......i hope to god i cn get the nerves to go see it again but this time keeping my face up and looking at the screen.
one of the best movies of the year...i know thats not saying a lot, but it was really good anyway.
i liked it but i found a mistake right in the beginning, so i lost a bit of respect for it.
But wait wait wait, can it beat
TECHNICOLOR!
Loved the techni version, esp on cid.
oooooooooh the colors.
Havn't seen it, hope it's good...
i liked it, but it seemed to build and build and build, then just drop. that was it. it probably worked better in then story.
i watched last night i thought it was good yes it did seem to drag once in a while but i'v read it and listen to the orgianl broadcast over all well worth my $7.50
i work at a drive in theater and it can hold 415 cars... we only had 10 spots left the night it came out....
I saw it at a double feature with The Longest Yard and thought it was outstanding, but I did enjoy the Adam Sandler remake a lot more. Both were well worth the ten bucks and 4and 1/2 hours at the drive in :)
i'll have to drag some friends to see it, looks really good on the trailer
i saw it today its really good, very interesting and alot different from the orignal
my boyfriend went and seen {i couldn't go i had other planes} and he said it was so good he was going to take me to seen it
I still haven't bothered to see it. I'll porbably get to it when it comes out on video. Frankly, I think Tom Cruise is going a little insane...
the fact that the akiens were there to suck out our blood to feed them yet for a while they were zapping us to ash...and tom some out excaped all possibilitys of death while every other single person was being killed around him was a bit cheesy....
I loved War of the Worlds!!! I went and saw it in the theatre the other day and I thought it was awesome. I literally didn`t move for the whole 2 hours it was on. I thought it was great and I actually think I will go and see it again soon.
i didnt think it was all that great it was good but it didnt scare me of make it to believable to me i dont know i guess im just more into comedy....
I liked the original movie, but did not like that series they ran for a short time. I guess I'll wait for this one to come out on DVD and rent it.
i liked it. im glad his son lived. tho it was too possibly predictable that he would.
~Morgana~
I watched the movie and it was very good in my opinion. Kept me on the edge unlike most movies out at the moment.
most of the film was "run... run some more... are we safe under this house? OH GOD NOOO!! we aren't safe.. how predictable... lets run to BOSTON... yes BOSTON... we'll be safe there..."
WHAT?!?!?!
sorry but a lot of the movie was completely pointless running till the machines got ill...
personally... it needed SOMETHING ELSE in it
well think about it, what if aliens from another world came here and they weren't exposed to the things on earth and couldn't survive like WE can? That was the point.
it'd be obvious destruction... but that wasn't my point.
movies (like lord of the rings) have entire sections cut out for taking out too much time
Tom bombadill in LOTR was the perfect example. he was completely cut out. and a lot of people complained but understood when the movie was 3 hours long. if they included everything it would've been 5 per book.
away from the point. cut out most of the running away from machines and you've got a 5 minute long movie :|
it needed something else... something more. and i guess they tried with the son of tom cruise (can't remember the character... can't be arsed)
but it didn't work. they were just running for most of the movie. which to be honest. lacked plot.
ive yet to see it,but would like to,i hear lots of good things about it,yet i also hear a lot of bad...
lol well i liked it and can't complain too much about it . I'm not that nit picky about movies.
movies are very complexly created things. and there's more to them than people think. but personally. although the action was decent in war of the worlds. and the main theme was a sort of helpless run goddammit horror it sorta got boring after a while...
then it ended because of "god"
eurch don't even get me started on the ending. (yes i know it's a remake of the movie that was a book) it still sucked
it's this fecking sun... burning me up i tells ya!
gorey no like das sun
the sun isn't even on this room... it's just bloody humid. i'm kinda wishing it was windy like the big whirlwind alian anus cloud thing in war of the worlds.
dakota was pretty awesome as she always is... watch that girl. i said she was gonna be huge when she was in taken. look at her now.
Watch the airplane that flies over head after you see the movie////? Owch
Sad to say that I missed this one, but the old radio show was brillant so I wouldn't expect anything different
