Have you ever felt touched by the supernatural? Have you ever seen a ghost? While perhaps not supernatural, have you ever seen an animal that wasn't supposed to exist or a ufo?
Love to see your story here.

yes I have. so many occasions, it is like which one do you want to hear. Off the top of my head comes this one. I was playing a game on my pc. Out of my minds eye I see this big humongous purple dragon. then the scene switches to this hillside with a purple castle on it. I got up to go to the bathroom. And right before I reach the restroom this big gigantic mouth of this purple dragon is in front of my face, showing it's teeth. At that point I said hello. It answered back telepapthically!
when i was a child of about 6, i remember one night i was at my grandmothers house. the door to the back porch was open, and behind it sat a book shelf, and i was looking at the old books there. i noticed a motion above me, and realized that this hand (larger than a grown mans hand and paper white) was reaching thru the opening where the hinges were. i let out a scream and my grandmother came running. it pulled back thru the opening, and she later said that she saw something white, but didnt see any detail.
she decided that someone was on our backporch messing with me, so she grabbed her shotgun (i grew up in semi rural texas...gotta love it!) and went to the back porch to confront whoever had broken in. there was no one there, and the door to the back porch could only be locked or unlocked from the inside....and it was locked.
there were a number of other things that happened in this house...it was over 100 years old, and the first owner had committed suicide over his wife leaving him.

ive seen a few ghost.including a ghost cat who was really cute.ive seen a ufo but they are just machines based around a gyroscope and a coanda effect displacement field.
Yes and it wasn't fun. I had my bed shaking, saw shadow people, woke up with scratches heard whispers and other things. They all happened on a particular year.
I have been in so many events that I know I can sense a type of presence around the area or room it's cause I've always been around ghosts or I have family members that have taught me about them. And I have always been interested in it. It's not really scared it just makes you think of the story of why they are here for a reason. I have seen plenty of things that I thought were real but they weren't actually there. It just has an edge to pull you in closer of wanting to know more about it.
I've touched myself so yes
and seen many ghosts and various hell creatures, been touched, demons just feel nasty and uncomfortable. I've stuck my hand in a ghost, it actually feels somewhere from static electricity to tingling because they are a ball of energy, it varies on spirit strength though
i would love more detail...
who will share a ghost story with us?

I had a fear demon after me for about 9 years. He showed up after my great grandma died and I no longer had her direct protection. I thought I was just hallucinating from an inner fear of being home alone until my friend saw it too. His name was Agramon. He used to chase me up the stairs when I turned the lights off at night and went to bed. He can move quite fast so he'd morph into various things that terrified me and pop up anywhere and everywhere. He'd show me the most gruesome and terrifying images in my mind. Once in a while he'd grab at me with his icky white claws through the toilet and various drains and sewers because he knew Pennywise from It terrifies me greatly. The feeling of being touched by a demon and their dark matter is just disturbing, gross, and weird. If I had to describe it it would be like running your hand through a thick substance like oil when it's in water, how you just push through it and it quickly goes back to it's original shape and you are left with that discomfort. I couldn't watch horror movies because he'd morph into the bad person or creature and try to emulate the situation as best he could.
Finally got rid of him over the summer with an elemental banishing spell. I got sick of him and didn't want him at business camp with me or ruining Vans Warped Tour.
An excerpt from one of my blog entries:
I would often see wisps of black smoke in the evocation mirror…it would move back and forth as if trapped within. Add to that, invisible hands that specifically wrapped around my wrists as well as the definite feeling of having my anus invaded and you can see why sleeping was difficult. I would also wake up every hour or so and have the overwhelming need to masturbate.

from what ive read, the need to masturbate when waking (if its frequent) was considered the sign of a succubus or incubus. anyone else experienced a haunting that was very vivid?

Well I am part of a paranormal group in Oregon so I have had a few close incouters with spirits in the past few years. I have been touched, scratched and even bitten on my leg. I am also a medium as well and can see , feel and hear spirits. I have had to deal with some darker spirits or energy as well in the last couple of years.
still looking for at least one good ufo story (has anyone ever been abducted?)
or a cryptozology story?
always love a good haunted house tale.
here is another from a house i once lived in up in ohio. i was upstairs in my office on several occasions and heard whispers in the room across the hall. since i was alone in the house i thought perhaps it was an intruder so i grabbed a hand gun and went to investigate.....
no one was there.
i looked around the entire upstairs and no one was there, so went down stairs....
looking thru the living room into the dinning room i could see this window illuminated with the moon light, and a human sized shadow crossed between the window and i!
i drew down on the shadow, and moved to turn on a light....but there was no one there.
very creepy feeling!

I have been touched by the supernatural... two seperate occasions. I am very willing to tell about them... Though my laptop is busy being funky as I type this.
we are all waiting to hear the stories (but touched was just a turn of phrase...perhaps i should have said "seen" or "experienced".

When I was in college back in the early 90's, I went off to a fairly famous University. I loved in a dorm that was over 150 years old. I had a couple of experiences while I was there.
The room that I was in, was known for "hauntings" over the years. During the 3 years that I was in that room, I would wake up and feel deathly cold. I saw on a regular basis a young woman who had been killed in that room. Weird things would happen in my room. She appeared with a rope around her neck and her hands tied behind her back. I saw this presence about a dozen times over that 3 years. The draws in my dresser often would fall out, and books would often fall to the floor. The first time that I saw this presence I awoke to a woman screaming help me, help me. At the time, I did not know that this room was known for hauntings. The woman manifested herself to a point that I thought she was in the room. Sometimes, in the room. She always appeared in a blue dress. The building that I was in used to be home to a theater. The woman The woman was actually called the "blue lady". One e time I awoke to seeing her actually hanging in the room by her neck. She was never threatening o me, but it was still very scary to wake up to a loud popping like a gun, drawers falling out, or even seeing this person inmy room.
May be my respond to this thread may amuse you. The supernatural phenomenon that many will mention, I had never being touch by them, reason, they stay away from me. Many times the attitude and the mind of some individuals, repel the encounter with such of entity. As I said, that is the reason that many people will not be touched.
i think its chance...some see things and some never do. ive been either lucky or very unlucky in what ive experienced depending on your point of view.
@LadyAmethystWillow, that was a very interesting description...id have been beyond creeped out had i seen an apparition like that hanging...

I'm in Pennsylvania, a very wooded area, and there have been several sightings of big foot
Once in a while I'll get these repetitive dreams of spotting one, it creeps me out because I can recognize a lot of these places where I get the dreams
maybe one day I will spot one, I'm hoping I don't, the idea scares the living shits out of me!
Touched me? an interesting notion, the supernatural uses me?
Probably, as for creepy monster from the ID, sorry cannot go for that.

When I was little I would always have dreams of things that had not yet occurred, before my aunt past she told me she had the same, she new when someone would get hurt or when someone was going to do something stupid. At around 15 I was raped and a part of me broke to cope with the stress of what came after, I stopped having dreams, at the age 16 I started to "get feelings" like if someone was good or bad, I just knew deeps down or if something bad was going to happen. My friend always new and would say "If Snow says her gut tells her something you HAVE to fallow it" I have never been wrong and I mean NEVER. I have always had weird feeling when someone I cared for died, I have ether dreamed of them, or just I don't know what you would call it but I knew, a friend from worked passed away, and when I woke that day I felt like there was a weight on my chest and the world was off.
My grandfather said I had a "gift" most people laugh at me or call me nuts, I normally steer clear of telling those people about alot of my life, I have been judged way to much. I remember when my grandfather passed I knew the moment he was hurt and the moment he died, later that night I dreamed of him and my aunt who had passed years before. When I awoke I could have sworn that they were both standing at the end of my bed smiling at me.
When I have gone in to trances to speak with the spirits and the gods music has always helped me out alot, I never under stood why out of the whole family I was the only one, beside my aunt, who could do this.
very interesting stuff folks. is there anyone looking at this that has NEVER had any experience that could be thought of as supernatural? im wondering how common such things are.
~W~
As a child I saw a few entities. Later as an adult I saw one of my cats that had passed. It look like golden threads of light woven together. Very interesting.
The catalyst of my re-awakening was My 'brush' with the supernatural. Needless to say, it changed me in ways that I hoped I would never have to see again. But now, I just don't have the will to care if I do see it again. I will probably only do the same as I did then, once more. I would say that I hope I am not "singled out" for this one, but I really don't care if I am or not.
When I was little, I always knew I was more different than most would know. I was about six years old, when this came along.
I was sitting in the local cemetery, at the grave of a good friend of mine, who had died of old age (there is a little irony, in my opinion). I had been there for hours, trying to think, and trying to rest, since I couldn't rest while I was at my house. I remember sitting against his head stone, like I still often tend to do, even now. When I began to drift off to sleep, I heard the revving of a car engine, and my first instinct was to open my eyes. I knew someone was coming, but I had my back turned to the driveway, so I had no way of seeing anything there, anyway.
Moments later, I heard a car pull in the driveway, and the doors opened and then slammed shut. Until these idiots (for lack of a better term) had showed up, I was having no problem controlling my thoughts or hearing the thoughts of others. I know that, because no sooner did they reach the gate, I began hearing their thoughts - I knew it was their thoughts I was hearing, because all but one of them mentioned Me in their minds. I knew they were looking for me, but how I knew was beyond me. I suppose it's just one of those instinctual things.
The first voice I heard, even through the chatter, I think was the 'ring leader' of the bunch. But it's been so many years, I can barely remmeber him, anymore. All he said was "what the f*** is a Kid doing in a place like this? That little f***er must be twisted as Hell."
Thinking about it, now, I've always been the same. I only put on a guise, to make people think that I seem like them, even though it never really works.
At the time, I was still small enough that I could easily hide amongst the stones of the graveyard. I don't know why I didn't, but I think it was most likely my predatory nature that made me follow my instincts to face them. Anyone who looked at these punks could tell that they were as cold as me, and back then, they would have been many times more dark than I was. But now, I'm not so sure that would be the case.
I probably should have tried to run away when I saw them, but it was almost as if I had the wieght of a damn dump truck covering the whole of my body. I knew I could easily get away, and lose them, but there was something driving me to face them, and just get it over with. But once I saw these punks drawing their guns (about five or six, in all, if my memory serves me well) that was more or less the breaking point of it all, for me. The closest one to me was holding a twelve gage pump action, and I was staring right into the bleeding barrel. If I were "normal", I would wonder what possessed them to bring so much firepower, just to kill a kid.
Staring down the barrel of that shotgun (as if that weren't enough) had me feeling completely frozen to the bone. Even when I saw the damn thing light up like a supernova, I felt like I was frozen in place. At that age, I'm almost surprised that I wasn't scared shitless, to the point of crying my eyes out. At least, I think that's what happens to children that age, when they're afraid.
What brought everything on, completely, was what happened when I saw the gun actually go off. For me, it was as if time had stopped entirely. Beyond seeing the light from the barrel, I don't remember a whole hell of a lot, besides seeing the one holding it flying through the air, into one of the head stones. Whatever it was that hit him used enough force to actually make the stone crumble, like it was hit by a wrecking ball or an anvil.
After that, the only thing I remember was hearing an extremely deep voice, speaking to me, and I know that the others heard it, too. I know that, because I still remember the look in their eyes when the voice spoke. All I heard was--
"Open thy eyes, and unleash thy soul, uncle."
I had no conscious idea who it was, or what it meant, but a split second later, I felt something that I hadn't felt for years since, until the day my only mentor died. I could feel my entire body changing (obviously, nothing as one would see in movies. But it was still a profound change.)
My fingers seemed to grow longer, and I recall them becoming extremely bony and stiff, like the branches of an oak tree. I felt my body turning rigid, and the next thing I knew, I was stading on top of the cross, which stood dead-center in the lawn. After that, the only thing I recall was standing on the cross, cleanching the throat of the one who led the group.
I still do remember seeing my reflection in his eyes, though. It felt as though I had the vision of a hawk, which go figure, as it had become cloudy as a tornado - I don't know what the time span was in all of this - I could see everything perfectly. I could see my own eyes had turned pitch-black, and it seemed like someoen could put their fingers directly into my skull, and curled them around without even touching the bone.
I could feel his heartbeat, each second, constantly slowing down, even though know i didn't have much of a grip on him. Judging as an adult, I would say it was just enough strength to keep him in the air. I watched his eyes, as his skin turned color, from what seemed like an extreme tan to a pale grayish-black, and his flesh shrivelled up, like burning leather. After that, everything went dark again, until I heard a loud thud. I came to, for only a few moments, and I was still standing on top of the cross. For some reason, I knew exactly what was going on, but I couldn't control myself, at all. It was like being a big puppet, and someone or something else was controlling the strings.
I closed my eyes for only a moment, and then it felt like I was in a mine, setting off their explosives. It sounded like the explosion of a mine, too. When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a crater that seemed about the size of my old room. It must have been about fifteen feet wide, and at least a few feet deep. The earth around me was covered in ash and rubble, at this point. After that, everything went black again.
I woke up in my room, the next day, and I thought the whole thing was just a crazy dream, or a nightmare. Unfortunately, when I went back to the cemetery, I found out that I couldn't have been more wrong. The crater I made was still there, and the whole place looked like it had been hit by a plethora of grenades. Even the top and one arm of the cross had crumbled to the ground, and it stood jaggedly, out of the ground. I fell to my knees, seeing that, and all I could do was scream my lungs out. Everyone knew something had happened there, but only one person saw anything, and go figure, it had to be the caretaker of the cemetery. Luckily, he agreed not to tell anyone what he saw, under the condition that I come by each evening, to help him clean up the mess.
For what brought me to my re-awakening, that is all she wrote. And for me, it was worse than any nightmare a "normal" person could ever have. The caretaker is now, long-since dead and gone, but in the ground, the cemetery still carries the mark of what I did. The entire area around the cross is nothing but barren earth, now, and not even grass can grow, there.
Needless to say, even now, no one in that town will tangle with me. Probably because they can sense that there is some kind of connection between me and the damage that was done to the grounds of that cemetery. Every person there is scared to death of me.
I have never and will never be touched by the supernatural.
This is going to sound completely crazy, but I swear there's something in my bathroom. I live in the house I grew up in, and ever since I was a little girl, my bathtub drain has scared the crap out of me. When a new drain was put in, it was better, but it slowly got back to how it was. Even now as an adult it creeps me out. I don't like the shower curtain closed, and I actually shower in the outside bathroom even though this bathroom is right next to my room. I always feel like I'm being watched, and recently, though I can't validate this, I think I heard knocking on the walls. I was in my room, alone in the house, when I heard a knock on the wall that backs up to the bathroom. I ignored it, but then heard it again later. I thought it could be wind or the pipes, but I had my boyfriend knock on the wall and it sounded exactly like that. I don't know exactly what that means, but it does give me the creeps sometimes, though it's something I've just learned to live with. It's not that bad.
Seen ghosts...no never been touched and have desire to be touched...
In effect it's just an expression. Touched isn't the literal meaning. The person wants to know if you had any paranormal experiences and write about it in detail. Just today I found a mysterious scratch on my arm. Maybe it's nothing but it's there. Didn't happen for a long time.
I have been. Even before I really had the desire and passion to investigate it, it has always been there with me.
While I've had numerous encounters, this is one I will never forget.
I was very young. It was the middle of the night and I had woken up for a horrible dream. I remember having the feeling of someone watching over me. I looked at the door way and I saw a female figure. I remember calling out mom because I thought it was my mom looking in on me. She then put her finger up to her lips in a shhh motion, and then was gone.
She was tall.. I remember not seeing much space between the top of her head and the top of the door frame. So I would say perhaps 5'9 or so. She was kind of androgynous, but I know it was a her from the feeling she projected and the hair. About shoulder length and curly. Because of the light that was being given off, her facial features weren't very noticeable. They were more so blurry, but there were there.
I'll never forget the feeling of peacefulness and love that rolled off the 'person'. It felt amazing.
perhaps i should have asked if you had encountered the supernatural rather than used "touched" . again, im just asking about what folks here may have seen or encountered..."touched" was only a metaphor.
lullaby: why did you say that you havent encountered anything supernatural nor would you ever? how can we know the future? just curious

Even the most devote believer in such things would be naive to accept every claim... right? One has to factor in that peoples senses are fallible, and that people have bias in their interpretation of observed events, there is also the fact that people lie, fabricate, and embellish with the intent to promote themselves as special, or exceptional.
Are you spiritually content without having an experience, or other physical affirmation?

I think this makes a case that there are rational believers.
Because as I see things there are a lot of jaded believers here on this site, all struggling to astonish each other with flamboyant claims, and accounts... all with the knowledge that anything they utter will be accepted as Gospel.
I don't believe, at all, so therefore I will not encounter.
There needs to be some form of skepticism if you are truly investigating for paranormal activity. So many things can be debunked and often are. In order for it to be called a phenomenon, every factor should be taken into account, and different experiments should be done in order to debunk it.
There was a show called Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files on the Syfy channel. It was a really neat show. It took some of the claims that people had and did different experiments to debunk them. A lot of them were, but there were some that they couldn't debunk.
To just keep claiming everything is a paranormal experience is like a desperation to experience it for whatever reason they want to experience it. I believe those ones are more apt to fake it, then actually experience it.
Sadly they are unaware that fabrications have mannerisms ( mannerisms that are present even in text) that betray the fabrication as what it is. Those that are somewhat better skilled at telling yarns are even more telling ( not so much by what they include, but by what they don't include in their "account/testimony") Did you know that Mark Twain was once a Paranormal Investigator? In fact he was on the team of the first such team ever.
Another notable occasion was when this one, it shows yet another source that such claims come from...
Cottingley Fairies

The first of the five photographs, taken by Elsie Wright in 1917, shows Frances Griffiths with the alleged fairies.
The Cottingley Fairies appear in a series of five photographs taken by Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths, two young cousins who lived in Cottingley, near Bradford in England. In 1917, when the first two photographs were taken, Elsie was 16 years old and Frances was 10. The pictures came to the attention of writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who used them to illustrate an article on fairies he had been commissioned to write for the Christmas 1920 edition of The Strand Magazine. Conan Doyle, as a spiritualist, was enthusiastic about the photographs, and interpreted them as clear and visible evidence of psychic phenomena. Public reaction was mixed; some accepted the images as genuine, but others believed they had been faked.
Interest in the Cottingley Fairies gradually declined after 1921. Both girls married and lived abroad for a time after they grew up, yet the photographs continued to hold the public imagination; in 1966 a reporter from the Daily Express newspaper traced Elsie, who had by then returned to the UK. Elsie left open the possibility that she believed she had photographed her thoughts, and the media once again became interested in the story. In the early 1980s Elsie and Frances admitted that the photographs were faked using cardboard cutouts of fairies copied from a popular children's book of the time, but Frances maintained that the fifth and final photograph was genuine.
and then there is the very anchors/founders of the Spiritualist Movement...
Fox sisters
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
The Fox Sisters. From left to right: Margaret, Kate, and Leah
The Fox sisters were three sisters from New York who played an important role in the creation of Spiritualism. The three sisters were Leah Fox (1814–1890), Margaret Fox (also called Maggie) (1833–1893) and Kate Fox (1837–1892). The two younger sisters used "rappings" to convince their much older sister and others that they were communicating with spirits. Their older sister then took charge of them and managed their careers for some time. They all enjoyed success as mediums for many years.
In 1888 Margaret confessed that their rappings had been a hoax and publicly demonstrated their method. She attempted to recant her confession the next year, but their reputation was ruined and in less than five years they were all dead, with Margaret and Kate dying in abject poverty. Spiritualism continued as if the confessions of the Fox sisters had never happened.[1] "This pattern of confession followed by retraction, which is not uncommon, has supplied both spiritualists and skeptics with material to support their case, so controversy never ends."[2]
See my personal interest in paranormal, and parapsychology started after I suffered sleep paralysis (during that episode I "saw" a figure. In my studies of all the material on the subject, one thing became very clear... every author published for money, or to promote themselves, or their pet projects.
It just became clear that all the testimonies where nothing but a game of Chinese Telephone, and anyone could cut and paste themselves a story about an encounter.. or the more preferred "My friend saw-such and such..." So for me it would take a Polygraph test to even begin to accept a persons claim, and still there always exist that they witnessed nothing but an illusion that they sincerely accepted as an encounter.
In place of phenomenal, and spectacular experiences people should accept that some people (as shown by the poll results above) are content without all the tingly simmering hype.
There are always going to be hoaxes, tricks, fakes, frauds and things that are just fabricated. People want attention for one reason or another, but just because there are such things, doesn't mean the whole concept of it is a sham.
You have two people- one actually sticks their finger to a stove and burns their finger. You have another that fakes it to trick people. Just because someone else faked it, doesn't mean that the other 'true' scenario didn't exist.
Yet there remains the fact that people who were led to believe by the an active hoax, have already been had, and they are likely to remain believers, and thus they perpetuate their own deception.
Here is a fine example of what only hints at the destruction is caused by such followings.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M._Lamar_Keene
Then you have to ask who's fault is it really? The person who does the hoax? or the person that still believes?
Should a person take caution before they decided to venture out again? Yes, they should. If they go back into it without fully researching their next 'session', then they are just asking for the same thing to take place.
People are going to believe. How much they believe is up to them and if they are smart about it, or if they just want to believe so much they don't care about what happens or what could happen. They want the experience. They want the real or the fake. They want it so much it becomes an obsession, or an addiction.
People can pull out bad things, or hoaxes, about everything- religion, people who need help, people who are doing things for a cause, so on and so on, but that doesn't mean that all of those situations are faked. People need to look out for themselves. If they don't, they will be had by someone in the world.
We could also look at the way cases fall apart, and what becomes of the media frenzy. All over a vague notion that something fantastical will occur. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tina_Resch
Or how even educated believers can be had by their bias expectations.
Project Alpha
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
For the military project, see Project Alpha (military).
Project Alpha was an elaborate hoax in 1979, orchestrated by the stage magician and skeptic James Randi. It involved planting two fake psychics, Steve Shaw (now better known as Banachek) and Michael Edwards, into a paranormal research project. During the initial stages of the investigation, the researchers came to believe that the pair's psychic powers were real. However, more formal experiments, as well as criticism from both the parapsychology community and Randi himself, led them to dismiss their initial trust.[1] The hoax was later revealed publicly.
Following Project Alpha, Randi went on to use variations of the technique on several other occasions. Perhaps the most famous example led to the downfall of TV evangelist and faith healer Peter Popoff, when Randi had a man pose as a woman with uterine cancer, which Popoff happily "cured". In another example, Randi worked with performance artist José Alvarez, who posed as a channeller known as "Carlos", who was presented on Australian TV and soon had a wide following. After this hoax was exposed, the artist was constantly approached by people who believed him to be genuine, even if he told them directly that he was an actor.
Then we are back to the same thing of "Just because there are numerous hoaxes, it doesn't mean that other things cannot be true".
Most kind of hoax will be a media frenzy if it is something a person strong believes in. Or someone will bring it forward so that others won't be taken by the same hoax, but people will. Its the facts of life. Everyone will be taken by some situation in one way or another.
Which to me is an example of why a rational moderate believe is far healthier than the irrational believe that seeks sensational affirmations. Sensational believers are the ones that fill the coffers of those who exploit them, and the victims play part in their own deception. So all I am saying is that people need to practice discernment when it comes to exceptional claims.
Though I do agree that many people talk about their 'encounters' with the 'paranormal' like they want to be seen as either grandiose or "special", I will say that there are some who have had more 'intimate' experiences than others. Some of them, even from what I have heard, and experienced, myself, may not the most pleasant that I could describe, but by the same token, some have turned out to be nothing shy of either 'divine hands', as I may call them, once in awhile.
But still, I won't deny that there are those who would describe things in a certain way, just to make themselves seem "special", or whatever term one might wish to use.
I can only speak for myself, however, when I say that for how people see Me, I would likely not be this way, if not for my own experiences, and seeing the terrors I have. Most things I've seen, I will say, were actually evil enough, that they would chill most people to the bone, just as they did to me, at the times they'd happened. But regardless, when someone thinks about it, though a story may or may not be true, the one thing that is certain enough is the fact that one can ordinarily tell (at least, in person) what stories are true and what are not.
My own experiences have left me being so different from others that when I step into someone's house, they can usually feel just how much those experiences have changed me, from what those people once knew. When I was a kid, I put on the 'air' of being happy and "giddy". But inside, I was already dead. My experience(s), however, turned me into someone that not even my own parents recognized, after a certain point. Many of the things I've described to people sound like something one would think to find in a movie; but anyone who knows me well enough can tell that when I describe something that happened to me, (particularly in my dealings with the 'paranormal') I am not telling what would be considered, in most cases, to be a "fisherman's tale". Although, I really wouldn't be so quick to think up something like that, because I know I really don't have the 'imagination' to do it. What I've put in this forum, already, is something that even now, though I've become numb as Hell, I wouldn't want to see anyone here or anywhere deal with, because I know just how much it would change them.
A little "food for thought" in the matter-- use your own judgment, when you feel that something may be false. I don't care if it's a story of the Spirit of a child someone claims to have seen, or an encounter with the Devil, himself. Use your own discretion. But still, keep in mind that some things, though incredible as it or they may sound may be just as real as you and I.
Of course in claims such as yours personally anyone in their right mind would invite you to take a polygraph test to determine just how sincere you are regarding your extraordinary... fantastical... alleged experience.
I'm not happy that I've been touched by the paranormal. They were scary experiences n I don't want to go through them again. I'd have slept better if I didn't. I don't feel special or lucky. Quite the opposite.
Mine was pretty nervewracking. I dreamed about have an adventure with a sibling of mine thats been dead for nearly 6 years. His words , actions, mannerism..so real I am convinced it was really that lil bro I love who visited me. I woke up shaken to the bone!
skepticism is a healthy trait and even when i have encountered something out of the ordinary, i first try to apply Occam's razor and figure out what it is i experienced. sometimes things cannot be easily explained tho.
to say "i do not believe, therefore i will not experience anything" reminds me of the priest in erik the viking ...even when things were happening all around him, he just would deny it.
i always wonder when someone takes alot of effort to show everyone that they are actually wrong. im never quite sure of the motivation.
that said this thread asked a question concerning peoples encountering the supernatural. perhaps there is another thread about disproving such things. this isnt that thread. i enjoy a good ghost story and id rather just read what people have said without others leaping in to show how "wrong" they are.
it reminds me of people that once would peek into bedroom windows to see if anyone was doing something that they "shouldn't be doing"
if you have an experience to share folks, id suggest that if someone questions if your experience happened, just tell them that you will agree to disagree, and move on.
thank you
~W~
I agree with you
I have a dog that lived til about 17, had her for almost the first 12 years of my life. Her orb shines a bright, pure, yellow and when I see her floating in a corner somewhere my heart just fills with joy, elation, happiness, and security because I know she's watching over me and my current dog and there to protect us
I'm totally with you LordWolf. If everything has to be proven wrong and we can't share our experiences then why we would have a forum? I accept other people's opinions but in effect this thread is to share experiences not to discuss their truth. In effect there's another thread for that.
Oh yes I've been "attacked" I still don't understand why it happened but here's one of my stories.
About 6 years ago, I went to Surinam with my Volleyball team for a tournament. We were in this indoor gym while a men's game was going on. I was sitting on a bench with the other women but behind the bench was a wall and above our heads was a wall as well so it was basically enclosed.
I suddendly felt a chill up my spine and then smelled something awful, I watched the girl next to me because I thought she farted. -.- But then I noticed on my wrist three scrapes right next to eachother (like the "M" on the Monster Can) it was justttt like that.
Till this day I don't understand what exactly happened and why I got those scrapes that weren't there before.
Here is some interesting insight.

i was going to ask if anyone had interacted with animal spirits before. if so did they behave just like normal animals or did they display intelligence?
~W~
I've interacted with my dog, Ginny, so has my friend.
She's a cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix, a shelter dog, but still loved just as much.
Even though we had to put her down when she was about 17 she was all youthful and puppy like again, still acted pretty much like the same old Ginny though. She is smarter and can protect and comfort me, my family, and my current dog in different ways, ways that her physical body never allowed her to. She can communicate better, but again, I think she was always that intelligent, it's just that now she can express it better.
I've had experiences with ghost cats too, they are pretty much just cats, just like they were when they were alive
I've heard that if you let an animal possess or take control of a person that they can work the vocal chords and speak, but haven't found a person with enough interest in the topic to let Ginny, or any other animal, take over their body
when I was little, I was in a LOT of foster homes. well one night at a particular one, my foster-sister and i were talking, whispering to each other well past our bed time. at one point i looked at the edge of my bed and saw a demon, scared the HELL outta me.
a few years ago, i was 18 so it was probably bout 6-7 years ago, i was on the phone with a friend, up late again lol. we had a mirror on the wall behind the entertainment center. I happened to glance over at it, and I saw someone standing in the room with me, just inside the front door only a few feet away. I looked over and there was noone there.
Another night I was up late, same thing. all the lights were off but the light over the sink and the lamp near the couch. Everything was off, no water dripping, tv was off as was the computer. Out of nowhere there was a big, blue, flash of light, no noise just the light flash. Scared the SHIT outta me
Yes. I personally deal with spirits all day from demons to Shadow People I deal with them everyday. I've been "touched" by someone.
It was two weeks ago (this is most recent one) I was trying to fall asleep (it was three in the morning) and usually I sleep um how to word this right without coming out and saying it. I sleep in with just a blanket to cover me plus it's the summer and I sweat a lot when I'm sleeping sometimes but, anyways I felt someone or something brush the back of my right leg several times in my leg, it scared me so badly that I decided to change beds (I have a trundle bed in my room where my guests sleep when they spend the night) so I tried to go to sleep on that bed but, whoever or whatever was still stroking my the back of my right leg, I finally managed to sleep (with the help of misusing cold and flu pills to help me sleep) a couple of hours later with the person/spirit still stroking the back of my leg.
I (stupidly) told my mother about this incident later on the next afternoon/morning and she didn't believe me (I had previously gone to exercise class the day before) and she said that it was probably my leg muscles contracting from doing the exercise's in class and I was very upset afterwards because I kind of thought she would believe me but, I now know my lesson. Never tell your mortal mother about spirits. *shakes head*

Witchery and speaking with the dead run on each side of my family tree.
I used to see the dead everywhere when I was a child, but it scared me and I repressed it or a long time. I can't see them anymore, but I can hear them if I'm not blocking things out.
I'm also a witch, which when I say it runs in my family does not mean that I think I'm some sort of being holier than thou. I'm saying it just seems that some people seem to be more genetically or individually in touch with what we all have/can develop.
And I'm not very powerful in any sense of the word, as willing anything extraordinary to happen is only something a true gifted witch can do given the limitations of belief.
What do I do? Not much... Just bind people and fiddle around with attraction work mostly. I did actually try to make someone I didn't like really sick once, but it worked really well and scared the hell out of me. Needless to say, I unwilled it right away and never did it again.
So, yeah... That's pretty much it for me.
Still fence sitting about the existence of vampires and slayers though.
Has the supernatural touched you?
Yes, sure, but only in my absence.
;)
Have been, am everyday. It's nothing "strange" to me now, 'supernatural' occurances have become a part of my life. They happen all the time..
I've been followed by these dark silhouettes.. almost like walking shadows, but far darker in appearance. What they want, I don't know, but I definitely know it's not an optical illusion, as my other friends have pointed and even said "Who's that watching us?" while one would stand there.. motionless... just.. staring.
My most frightening experience was when I was walking home alone at night, and I heard cold whispers come from every direction. As my pulse raised and fear began to creep, a street light infront of me flickered in absolute craze. Under the flickering light stood one of them.. watching me. He was only a few feet away.
As I got closer, the flickering got more intense. By the time I had reached arm distance, the bulb smashed, and glass fell to the floor. I turned in the other direction and ran, looking back as the entire street's lights were all flickering in unison.
The next day there was a massive powercut at the exact same time this began. I remember the most bone chilling thing i've ever seen vividly, still..
Looking out into the darkness.. and the moonlight reflected onto our town..
I could see them..
Everywhere.
Hundreds of them..
Just walking around, as if normal people.
Oh where to begin? I have seen ghosts, fairies, and for some weird reason I smell the ghosts first. Each has their own unique smell. My mother says I got it from my grandmother she was a medicine women. Any way I have been able to do this from a young age. My favorite was when my grandfather passed before we got the call from the hospital I was overpowered with the smell of beer and paulmauls. I told my grandma that I think pap had passed, and she laughed at me said nonsense he is just in the hospital for observation. Five minutes later the phone rang with the news. I was only eight. I have had many encounters since then and have several ghosts that are in my home including my ex, and my favorite cousin.
Update: On the 6th anniversary of my younger siblings death I dreamed about him again. It was so vivid I woke up in a cold sweat! o.O
I have been touch by the dead since I was an infant and because I've been haunted my whole life I started doing research which then led me to here after my awakening or after I figured out what I was doing on a subconscious level which ever sits better with ya. and now have finally gotten rid of a very dangerous entity that was attatched to me :( cuz of all that I am very wary of any dead that stumble into my home lol but I love my kitty kat sofie she rubs on my legs all the time lol fyi she died a year ago
I have a skeptical nature. When I experience things I cannot explain, I just say they are "unexplained," and leave it at that until some sort of evidence is in.
If something happens inside our experience of reality, no matter how strange, then it is inside our reality. I don't say, "it's strange, cause unknown, therefore god, or ghosts, or demons, or fairies did it."
If the supernatural is something outside our reality reaching in to us, then the only part we can experience and test is the part that is within our reality, within our realm of perception and science.
If we can't get to the source, the cause, then some people call that "supernatural." But do we even know what "nature" is" Where, exactly, ARE the boundaries to it, that we can even speak of that which is beyond them?
If something is from another dimension or a parallel universe, is THAT supernatural? But if "nature" includes ALL that exists, then nothing is really "supernatural," it's just beyond what we can explain at present. And in my life I've had quite a few such 'encounters.'
I think I've posted in this forum before.
But, yes I've been "touched" by the supernatural more then once and I think it's just their way of communicating with us.
~Tory~
I believe that I've been touched by the supernatural...I'm guessing that many of us have, in one strange form or another; we can't quite understand or explain it.
The supernatural for me usually comes across via dreams. Over 30 years ago, I had a dream that I was in a white limo, dressed completely in white, holding a baby that was in a white blanket. While I couldn't see the baby's face, I knew that it was related to me, but not my baby. It suddenly turned into pure white light, went out of the car window, and floated upwards towards the sun. I woke up with tears on my cheeks, and felt that the baby was a manifestation of my grandmother, who had recently died. I just felt that she was in heaven, if that makes any sense.
Another wierd supernatural thing happened recently. About 3 months ago, one of my fave cats died of what was believed to be cancer of the blood. He had two really good playful months before he crashed suddenly, but it was - and still is - hard for me to think about his demise. Anyway, about two nights after his death, I felt a cat curl up next to my head, meowing and purring. When I looked over, none of my cats were even in the room. I even got up and found the remaining four cats asleep in various spots in the living room. The cat who died - Whiskers - use to sleep next to my head, purring away, and 'talking'...I guess he was letting me know that all was good over The Rainbow Bridge...my wishful thinking, anyway.
sensing a presence. seeing a black cat inside, when i didn't have one. cold spots
I've seen one ghost in an abandoned building that was slated to be demolished, and I've heard and felt one once in the kitchen of my old house in Duncanville.
My mom had two dogs that had magnets so when the magnets would first touch they would make a kissing sound. They had been touching for a long time and not taken away from each other my mom and her friend were sitting downstairs (the dogs were in her room) and they made the kissing sound 3 times... nobody was in the room. that what my stepdad's sign to my mom that he was alright and crossed over. Another instance is ever since i've always had a feeling that i can't quite explain but i always know that it's my stepdad.
I've actually seen all three! I witnessed a cluster of orange-green objects (about 8 in all) hover over a bridge in my home town! They hovered for about a minute and a half and then flew away in all directions at once! It was too far away to see much detail but the lights were very clear! In 1983 I was camping in Shades State Park (Indiana) and a large hairy image came up to the station wagon! I could see it staring at me! It then proceeded to ransack my campsite and steal a good portion of my food! It was over 8 ft tall because it was twice the size above the window of the car! Plus it smelled like a wet dog and like mud! It smelled like that for the rest of the 2 days I camped there! It never returned though! Anyhow I've seen spirits most of my life and have witnessed many strange paranormal phenomena! The best pic of a ghost that I've ever personally taken is part of the pic series on my portfolio! I sure wish I had my camera with me during the Bigfoot sighting, it was awesome! To be honest though, I didn't really believe in Bigfoot till then! I'd seen many strange things that most people would thinks was horrifying but I never saw any Bigfeet until that night! Then I was convinced! It was light enough to tell it wasn't a bear nor anything else that should be there! Plus the flashlight was powerful enough and he was close enough to the station-wagon to know it was a genuine Bigfoot!
Many times;Ghosts, visions,my own magick, out of body experiences, accurate divinations.Too many experiences to name them all.
i have a recuring dream were a black cloacked figure visits me and tries to speak to me in my dreams, never really knew what it ment
I have woken several times to the feeling that I had just enjoyed the best sex ever of my life - this mainly happens when I'm alone in my room at night because I usually wake at midnight to this feeling - and in the mornings I have bruises on my arms and legs. I know I bruise easily - always have - but I have no idea how I get these bruises or why. I don't even dream of sex - to be honest most of my dreams are strange like walking through a house looking for something but that's beside the point here- so I think I might have been visited by an incubus or something (one of my friends who is a Pagan - as I am myself - has told me that is what they believe it was anyways so I'm going by what they say)
A few years ago, l foreseen my own car accident, and who was in the car with me..and where it happened. the day and time..
l have seen my dead uncle, and two of my dead cousins, and have spoken to them and l have been told by my female cousin who had killed her and where she is buried.. her body has never been found, and yet l know where she is, and what she was wearing when she died..she died over 15yrs ago.. My male cousin died at sea, and have seen him and spoken to him since he died, and he still looks like he is soaking wet.. My uncle l have seen him he was murdered and know who did it..the three of them are walking side by side comforting each other, with a Blue Healer dog, that belongs to my uncle...
I occasionally see "shadow people" passing through my home, like, walking through walls or passing through the floor. of course, Shadow People are always open to debate (trick of the light, eyes playing tricks ect.), but I was quite literally touched by the supernatural once. I plainly felt someone wrapping their arms around me from behind, I felt bodily warmth coming off of this person, the softness of the skin. best part about this is that I live alone. to say the least, I felt the need to spend some time outside for a while.
I've had alot happen that you can read in my profile.I let my soulmates spirit in the window and he lived with me as a ghost for many years.I've levitated and been held in bed by an alien being.Neubus went inside my body...I'm a real spiritualist.I see spirits and interact with them.
Sometimes I wish I wasn't as receptive to the spiritual experiences as I am...
Especially where I live near.. the land is a playground for the paranormal.. (Gettysburg PA)
Loads of activity, EVP's, video evidence, things moving, voices and children singing...
The clearest EVP I have ever gotten was a voice (most likely a residual haunting) saying "Help me"
It was quite something.. but too many stories to name.. lol
But yes definitely has touched me!
~Niffy
You know that feeling when you can sense a television on in the house kind of electricity? I've always experienced that sensation with knowing someone I couldn't see was there.
That, and I have crush on Jensen Ackles, so Supernatural has touched me in a couple of ways :)
I can say that while I have never physically ``seen`` a supernatural being,I have had some pretty weird experiences and I`m a healthy skeptic so to speak.
For example I can tell if a Person is dying or sick, without them displaying any symptoms of that.I just get this weird Feeling like I`ve been dunked into a tub of ice.So far it`s been 90% accurate. Then I can sometimes tell a person`s personality,a part of their biography and some personal info just by touching an object which they handle everyday.Again it is not extremely detailed and not 100% accurate, but it is not mere guesswork.Sometimes I am very welcomed by cats and reptiles, but scare off Dogs.Other times it`s the opposite.I don`t know if that has anything supernatural in it,but it occurs to me more than it occurs to most other People. So I`m Kind of on the fence here.On one side I do believe that there are too many weird coincidences for them all to be just coincedental,on the other Hand until I can mathematically prove this,I won`t advocate it
I have to say, I personally experienced many, many things of the supernatural over the course of my life, as far as seeing full body apparitions to orbs and shadows without living bodies attached. I have always been both extremely fascinated and somewhat scared of the supernatural world, but of course mostly fascinated. I love delving deep into the paranormal head first, since Im insane anyway, lol. But yea, I research a lot into the supernatural, anything from spirits, ghosts, vampires and beyond.
My life is full of strange encounters and occurrences.
Shadow people from what I'm told are beings that have a hatred for the living and hang around to drain from said target, even to the point of death. So be careful and protect yourself should that be the case.
Sometimes there are other shadow looking beings that hide or lurk around. These seem what i call "Watcher" types, or even what i would go so far as to call Astral Walkers. If you're out of body, using pure energy, I suppose you could look like a shadow form to someone who catches you around. :D It makes sense to me anyway.
I have had energy attacks by astral or psi feeders in the past, twice that i recall. They are generally drawn to those that produce a great amount of it. Shielding goes a long way. Find your inner guardian, your courage and use it. It helps.
I've never seen ghosts except in dreams and communicated that way.
My son and I have seen what looked like a UFO pass slowly over where we live during the day. It wasn't a blimp or plane. It was very quiet, very low to the tops of the trees, in an oval shape, and produced a soft white light all over. I just happened to see it when i looked up at my son standing at the door. He too looked up and saw it, and I asked him what was that? He said, aliens. lol If i had thought about grabbing a camera I would have but I didn't really care too much at the time.
Granted, I do not consider these things to be supernatural. If it exists, then it must be natural. That's my viewpoint. :D
Well my above post did not show
I have had a wolf follow me in my dreams, and i was possessed once, so there is your answer * smiles*
