Is it possible to open a portal for spirits to cling to you after using a Ouija Board? When you had no idea what you were doing with messing with it.

Am talking by expirience and I know some people who ended up really bad after usiing it,even died.

Well I wish someone would have told me that before I had messed with one I had a bad experience with it and ever since is when I have seen strange things happen. A lot of paranormal activity.

The day after I messed with one I was sitting at my computer desk which "had" a glass top....and it literally EXPLODED all over me! It had no cracks or anything before that happened! In connection with the board....I don't know.

one of my friends said that the looking glass from the board actually lifted off the table and flew at her when she refused to play. i don't know if i should trust her but some of that stuff can get really dangerous to mess with.

I was young and dumb when I messed with it. My friends slumber party they decided to put the thing on a bible turn it 1/2 turn light a white candle to the right of the board. Now At first I thought they were joking about it moving you know doing it on purpose. But then one of the girls screamed her hand was being cut. We looked down to see blood coming from her hand we let go and there was a wind threw the room but no windows open and the flame of the candle went really wavy and wide about 3 inches across. Needless to say I never touched that board again but since then I have seen things in different houses and places. Like seeing objects move across the room. And hearing things I have never experienced before.

I wish my Ouija board was that cool. It's probably defective because I bought it at a yard sale for 1$.

The one we were using was in a family for several years it was pasted down for many generations. I sometimes wonder if that is what gave the board so much energy.

Mine was made by myself I just needed a pen and paper.

yeah... i got into tarot reading for awhile. it defintielly got really weird for awhile. i was really freaking when the stuff happened though. i stopped after that though i'm thinking of picking it up again.

Anyway my expiriences weren't exactly from it.

I had paranormal expiriences but before making the board,then I decided to make one.

First the spirit said it was good and that is going to help me,then said it hated me wtf?And when asking questions it wanted to get out of the board.

Afterwards a lot of bad things were happening,it could be a coincidance but were a bit strange how they happened.

i've heard of that happening. the spirits play you into doing it by saying it'd be a good choice and then they just use it as a gateway to make your life a hell hole

Cause sometimes they told me things I wanted to hear or that I feared.

Only one spirit wasn't against me.

I asked him future questions and everything happened for real!

It's not that I got influenced but things really happened even tough I didn't believe him.

I met the person with the name,in the place,time and the relationship ended after two months like the spirit predicted.

That's why I am still on here I myself couldn't sleep its like it won't leave my mind. I have been extremely cold all night and shivers to boot!

i had to pull a heavy jacket out of the closet just to keep warm. i'm not to the seeing my own breathe point of cold but it is getting chilly (then again it is winter and it is snowing right now). but my mind is say addled that i can barely think straight.

As for cold it could be that the weathear after all,soon it will be xmas time so it's ''normal''.

There is always a paranormal presence that surrounds us, it usually just dwells in another plain of our world that is unseen to a untrained eye. Certain tools such as a Ouija Board focus the paranormal energy so that the energy can manifest itself into our plain of existence.

weather is never "normal" in Illinois. last winter we had very little snow, this winter we had a white thanksgiving.

Certain people believe in dimensions and say that when we use the ouiija board we are opening a gate for spirits.

3 rules of the board, 1 never ask for it to prove its existence, that is how you open a gate to the other world and invite vengful spirits, 2. always say good bye, if you don't spirits follow you cause you did not give the, the command so they have a loop hole here the board follows your every command and you did not command it to go so the spirit gets to follow you as it was commanded to start, but this spirit is not as strong, last of all, never ask to speak to a more powerful spirit, this is just inviting trouble

Also not to do it alone and ask your death date.

The Ouija. I have messed with the Ouija since I was about 15. I am 36. It has been awhile since I've had someone to do it with me. My ritual for the board, is to first imagine yourself bathed in white light, and surround yourself with it. Also see a sort of white "force field" around you. See this in your mind.

Ask if anyone is there. Don't rush the questions and wait awhile, for an answer. Ask them if they would like to talk. You may get lies. You may get gibberish. If you can't get a stronger connection, ask for another. That's what I do! I talk to them as if they were a person on the phone, as that is sort of what it is. If they get angry, or the planchet moves fast and angrily, then tell them you won't talk to them, and let go. You can go to goodbye, but I think that is more of a formality.

If you smell any bad odors around that time, leave it alone. The angry ones have a bad odor, sometimes of musty basement. At one house, I smelled skunk, and the smell would move around. We could follow it.

I had a very odd experience once, with a Ouija. I should write about it in my journal. Another time, it was very honest and told about the girls in the room that were to become pregnant.

Keep paper and pen handy and have someone writing it all down. Sometimes it is in code. A guy and a girl should be doing it for best results, I've read, although I've had me and another chick, quite often, no prob. Some people just can't get the connection going, also. Give it time, or try another day.

They also say not to do it while drunk or high.

If you are worried, burn sage afterwards, walk through the house, and tell them to leave. I always do. I've never had a problem with anything staying though. In my experience, it's the person anyway, and chances are, you've already had ghostly visits before.

Don't play around though, lightly, and don't antagonize the other side. Respect and be nice. Ask questions about themselves, such as how they died, when they died, how old, etc. Thank them for talking to you and say goodbye.

I've never messed with a ouji board because I'm affraid of just that thing. I see, to have things that bother me from time to time any way, though I often wonder if I'm just schizo or something.

As I stated in one of my threads I was plotting revenge one night when I heard something call my name, starting in a voice and bleeding into a growl.

I order it to leave me alone, and crossed myself. (not catholic, but what could it hurt) It hasn't bothered me since.

I hear voices a lot though. Rarelly anything malevolent, just like being in a room full of people all talking at once.

And that is good advice about not ding it while intoxicated. I've found myself doing bizare almost ritualistic things when very innebriated.

I bet it is possible. I dont own one and i dont believe in messing with anyone else belongings that have alot of energy. A frien of mine invited me to come over once, but i didnt like the idea of asking questions to the spirits that day lol.

ill say now i didnt read entire thread ,so if i repeat this and its been said i apologize now ..ouija boards are not just a game it became a marketing idea and a good money maker as well ...but its no game if you open a portal and spirits come through things could happen beyond your control....my advice is to go find books on or find info online of how to close those portals and after doing so never use the ouija board again they harness strong spiritual energy not all good .and maybe even consider throwing it in the trash for safety sakes dont know who else might come across it .just my sentiments and thoughts anyway :)

I had asked earlier if the saying was true that the board will find its way back to the owner because one of the girls did throw it away. But I wish I would have known sooner in my life that it wasn't a game. In my family they didn't believe in such things. So we were told it was a game. And we never did say goodbye after letting go. I guess I am lucky because whatever is around me doesn't seem to be mean. But whatever was called that night was extremely violent!

yes, it is possible to open portles to other worlds, and NEVER play with a spiritboard in or near a cematery because of earthbound spirits.

i haven't touched a Ouija board in years, the last time i used one was when me and my friend were using one and then it started moving and we just freaked out and ran and kinda hid for a while, kinda scared to use one but also very tempted because i think my house is haunted

Ouiji...love to use the board alonemost of the times when I did it with someone else the spirit tended to stay around them and not me. I know i'm asking for it but they have to work to get me. I also like to ghost write. It's intresting what they like to say back to you sometimes.

vampirechick .if you wanna communicate with ghosts my suggestion to you and anyone is instead of using a ouija board maybe get a good digital recorder with a good external mic or buy two digital recorders one with internal and one with external mics and if you think a place is haunted turn recorder on tell others to shut up make yourself known and ask specific questions like hello im so and so and what is your name ..how old are you .how did you die .we dont wanna hurt you we wanna learn about you stuff like that ,then get what you need stop recording go play it back normal speed and then try fast speed keep a close listen cause on first time at normal speed you wont hear much or it will elude you more then likely but on faster pace youll hear stuff and when you play it normally youll understand it better .,ive done it with others and man it was cool gave us all goosebumps but most of the ghosts that talked were nice and alot of the evp recordings we did was at an old cemetery local to the area and in the lodge we slept in :)

also another thing to do is if you record audio ,have a digital video camera with night vision on it and record video as audio is being recorded we caught stuff on video to freaky stuff lol but cool to know there is something else out there besides living breathing organisms lol

That's a good idea ouija boards are not necessary a bad expirince for somet hey were good,it's just needed some protection and knowledge,some people do a protection spell before and after for example.

These things are really dangerous. My friend was in a group and they made one and they left a knife on the bench and a 'bad' spirit came and stab one of the guys in the hand... True story.

yeah it is possible for a spirit to cling to you after using a ouija board seen first hand experience of this myself and most spirits arent good either if you continue to have problem what you need to do is find a person who can close the portal for you and then cleanse the area that should do it if not you will have to exorcise it and hope the spirits goes away if not look out will be pissed off

it also depends on how much strength you let it have. if you give it control of yourself (not saying i know of it happening) then you probably are going to be in a world of hurt in more than one way

i agree with novarius. i dont think they work unless you want them too. i have played around with a cheap one before, but no one was expecting anything, and not much happened.

I don't tend to mess with ouija boards because I don't like negative energies and I feel like the negative energies tend to focus on those portals when opened because they try harder to escape and torment people...thus i avoid them.

i don't have the guts to mess with one of those things because the movie the exorcists is based on a true story except the girl was a boy who lived in maryland and he got possesed by fuckin with one of those things trying to contact his dead aunt.

I think not. It is far more complicated than that, summoning spirits, and that game is soooo lame. I honestly don't think it has any power. I could be wrong, but I've seen others play it and nothing ever happened. The whole thing is more urban legend than anything else.

i agree with u on that too. myths that have been carried on from generation to generation tend to become a serious belief, but i prefer to just leave that shit alone regardless if it is true or not.

Most urban legends usually derive from some form of truth.

It is all a matter of the personal energy that you apply to your use of the board. As people have said before the most important point to make is: IF YOU DON"T KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING, DONT DO IT. get experience, do research, and find the info before you try messing with the supernatural. Its alot safer that way.

A lot of people don't believe in that sort of thing, I personally don't know what to think, I believe it's not just the board it is the fact that a number of people sit down and open themselves to the same goal.
But I like many other people here and elsewhere have seen things that can't be explained. I do agree with the rule, If you don't know what you're doing, Dont do it.
It's usually the safest way to go.

Erm... to those who said taht nothing happened I guess it's because you did nothing.

For example what did you use as a pointer?Preferably it should be made of silver and theo bject has to be light.If you used a heavy glass than am not surprised it happened nothing.

Second,did you call spirits or you just tought that the pointer will move by itself?

Third,you have to put your finger on it but not very hard or else it will be hard to move.

If you didn't do these things,these could be the reason why it didn't work.

But sometimes even if you do these things it doesn't work.It could be that the spirit doesn't want to comunicate,there are no spirits around or maybe who knows,maybe there are some people who are not ''attractive'' to spirits.Am not referring to physical attraction lol!

Oh hell yes, dear. You should never disturb the powers of the other worlds and spirits unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing. Especially with an Ouiji board. You never know what you could release.

okay... i heard another interesting thing that ppl are using to poen portals. the TCG Magic the Gathering, anyone else hear of this. i'm skeptical of it just because i play it w/ friends and i know that it has some basis in satanic stuff but i didn't think ppl would be stupid enough to try to actually summon the creatures from the cards.

i really don't know what to believe, but in some sense i think that its also a psycological thing. i'm not saying that anyone on here who says they have actually seen things happen while playing with the ouige board are lying. but i really think it depends on the person or people who are playing with it and how much they believe in it.

cool... i'd only heard ppl attempted it, never heard that nething actually happened though. all my christian friends say that i shouldn't mess with the cards no matter what i do with them. i guess i'm fine as long as i don't try to actually summon things from them

Novarius & Bloodyfang, Don't even tell me you faintly believe that creatures can be summoned up from magic:tg cards. That is just wrong on so many levels. It takes me back to the D&D scare of the late '70s early '80s.
The only damage I think a ouija board can do is if someone threw it at you. ouija boards don't scream when they are burned and they don't move on their own. It was a great marketing scheme and a wonderful urban legend was born.
I don't say these things because I don't believe in the paranormal. That would be wrong. I do. If a spirit is going to be attracted to you it can be from any number of things, and if you think you have a ghosty following you around because of you playing with a ouija board, come to me and I'll give you a free exorcism.

well it is just a game. but some ppl just take things TOO seriously. i remember stories of ppl killing themselves over stupider things though, like one guy killed himself because his char died in a D&D game supposedly. it seems to be too much of a stretch of the truth but considering how stupid many ppl are these days i wouldn't be surprised if ppl someone tried to summon a pokemon.

There's some ritual for removing a house demon in that manner, by spreading salt all through the house while leaving it a tiny escape through a door or window.

Let us not mistake mental illness with practicing the fine art of Arcana. Random gestures and speaking garbage will not summon a demon. Holding a card with the mass produced artists conception printed on it will not create this monster. Wizards, sorcerers, and witches have practiced for years and to be able to communicate, much less summon a creature from another plane requires an amazing amount of knowledge.

with mine i wasn't actually saying that they summoned the creature in the picture, just that they wanted to but instead got something they weren't bargaining for.
alot of the ppl i hear about doing this sort of stuff do alot of research before doing anything, however i wouldn't be surprised if alot of the stories like that were just BS

Popping down to the local library and maybe cracking a book or twenty doesn't cut it.
I want someone to tell me that they had intelligent communication with ANY being they conjured.
I've been studying the paranormal for 30 years (with degrees to prove it) and I have a real difficult time with someone who claims to have opened any game box and communicated with ANYTHING other than the people in the room.
I won't say its impossible, but I can spot B.S. from across the planet.

I want to clarify something before I come across as a non-believer. I do believe in the paranormal. I do believe that there are instances of interaction between the spirit world and ours. Opening a portal is not an easy thing to do. I'm sorry, but if it were as easy as that, don't you think it would be a bit more accepted and common?

if it was me i know i'd have at least 50 sources of valid information before even trying anything that has to do with the paranormal. most of this seems to come down to a who do you want to impress and who will back your story up.
i could say i saw something in a photo but to prove it would be impossible simply because i'm good at photomanipulation and people wouldn't be able to tell if i actually had taken the picture and gotten an image. it all comes down to whether you can trust the person or not... i don't like spreading BS, that's just how i am. if i saw a ghost i'd say it, if no one trusted me that's their prob, if i didn't see a ghost i wont tell ppl that i did just to seem cool

I'm not saying that opening a portal can't happen. Hell, I actually encourage you to try. If you feel confident enough to open a portal to a plane of existance where we have NO reliable information and the pieces of info we do have speak of evil scary things, but you know that you are powerful enough because you are the magic card champian and had a 30th level wizard in AD&D and you know all there is to know because you've been interested in this for a few years and you've read all of silverwolf moonstar teenwitch books, then I say do it!

I believe that it is completely possible to open a portal by using a ouija board. A few of my friends have said that it has happened to them before, but that's all i have to base this on.

Everybody has a friend who knows somebody who opened a gate to hell with a Ouija Board and just managed to close the gate by burning some sage and thus preventing an apocalypse.
Good thing we have so many accomplished mages on the planet.

I have never messed with one myself, because after reading some of the stories you guys gave and just my own theories, I have concluded that the the board is a Pandora's Box or a game of Russian roulette.

One, I found in a house that had been burned down. Now I had always heard that you can't burn them and all that shit, but I hadn't actually seen "proof" of it before. I can't explain it, but there it was, in the burnt rubble, still intact, except the burnt edges of the parchment paper. It is bigger than the newer ones. It is old. I have no idea how old though. I use that one the most. I've not gotten any bad "spirits" through it. Seems that's more what is lurking around the house that I go to.

Another I have is a regular one.

The last I have is one I made, with the calligraphy on it, that I made, in 1987. It turned out so well! I had a particular spirit named Manson that would come to me. He was a young black man from long ago. I don't remember details now, but he would come to me anywhere. My friend and I sat in her kitchen, each with a finger on a potato chip and it moving. *laughing* We then tried a Hot Wheel car. It worked too. My point is, you don't have to use the Ouija to make contact, and they aren't all bad. Just don't be an ass and antagonize the ones that have passed. It's just not nice or wise.

you could say the same about any game though... don't say that a game is dumb just bcause you think it's for kids... i have plenty of friends at school that still play pokemon and i have seen men that looked to be in their 60's playing the pokemon tcg...
i agree that it's stupid to try to summon creatures from card games but some ppl enjoy the games. it's ppl like you that label things as stupid and cause hatred and disputes. anyways if you knew anything about the magic tcg you'd know that it was designed for teens and up.

I completely believe in all forms of divination. If you want to use it responsibly then you should do as Amanda suggested and perform all necessary rites before attempting to contact a spirit. Just to be on the safe side ;)
