There is always some form of Energy to feed off of...There is always to option of stopping Time...During such moments it could be a eternity with out any input...If need be...

Not sure what you mean by stopping time, But I agree there is energy everywhere. Some individuals can turn it on and off others are still learning how. I think it depends also on the means to which you feed. Some individuals can go days.. some months, and some maybe even years without feeding. But Those individuals I think may be the ones that are dealing with alot of illness due to it.. If that makes any sense.

For living beings, I think the source of energy is pretty well covered by the food you eat. For someone who is dead..I would say maybe three days..but just a guess. The type of deprecations that must occur to succeed in supporting the etheric body must be similar to the one that supported it life. So these drains tend to be large when they do occur.

I don't need blood... tho I do crave it (and am taking donations, eh eh?) It gets to me sometimes like the longing for a smoke.

Otherwise I need energy and am naturally an autofeeder tho sometimes I like to actively take, my body does it for me usually. So I just make sure to go out in a public place once every day or so. School, the mall, etc.

One year durring christmas break I was so inactive and cut off that by about a week in I could hardly stand because I hadn't had a chance to feed.

I'm feeding off of energy some times when I don't eve mean to. For me, I don't think I'd last long.

Since it was stated above, that there is always energy around you no matter where you are - would it be the question instead of when do you ever stop feeding?

the only way for me to stop feeding is to remain in complete isolation and nothing on this world can hold me in isolation and i wouldn't have the patients to remain there by my will so i really wouldn't know kind of a shame to have to feed off of others like parasites but such is the curse upon us

I guess the question has been answered...There is alway Energy to feed on...So the question was answered before it was asked...Maybe the question should have been: What do you Feed ON?

For Sangrins, it might depend on thier 'cycle' One Sangrin I know needs a pint a month

Another needs it every week

Psi's that I know need thier feeding of energy every day

I need to be in a stimulating environment after a weekend of being home all the time, otherwise I get real depressed and I dont feel good
Right now my energy patterns are off balanced, and I dont sleep well.
I havent been around the right doses of Positive, Negative, Sexual and other prefered energy sources...

it depends on what aspect you are and what methods you are normal to. If your usually a very deep feeder, then it might be a week, maybe a little more or a little less. If your an ambient feeder, then a night or two.

I think it depends on what you think a real vampire is, and of course your state of mind.

im not sure depends on if a vamp has sudden impulsess or if it can controll its hunger

As many of the previous posters have said...it would depend on the stamina of the vampire and the type of food it relied upon...if it is a vampire who feeds off of other people's energy, it may be ale to go some time without food....Mainly, I guess that it would simply depend on alot of things.

it just depends on who you feed off of does the person have rich blood that satisfies you quickly or do you have to drink off the person for awhile the richer the blood the longer i can wait

Well im real and I went like 2 months and I was so weak I couls barly walk.

well to me i believe you can go about a week. but depends on how you react on wanting that. if your strong and willfull then you might be able to go longer than a week. if your not as strong as you thinbk you are then..... prepare to die!

im not sure but i think its like eating for humans you can skip a meal but its not very pleasent and you would rather not

I feed once a year, but I wouldn't think one would need to feed regularly as in daily. But there are other ways to sate your need. One can draw energy from ppl. I think it really depends upon the individual.

I believe it matters on the person just like humans and food...

In the neat (and funny) Canadian vampire movie "Blood and Donuts," the vampire-hero went into a kind of hibernation in 1969 and didn't revive until sometime in the 80's.
The concept of vampires starving to death is interesting. In Bram Stoker's "Dracula," the count aged when he hadn't fed. Would a vampire be destroyed by starvation? Or would he just shrivel up into a kind of mummy that could last forever in this state and eventually be revived by a blood transfusion?

there is a fine distinction between actual food and the feeding that we need to feel healthy.

Food, is physical, it is what our physical body needs in order to keep it running and strong.

Feeding, is the means of drawing energy from another person into the body in which will be used to help keep the spiritual body healthy and keep the physical body from being drained of its own strength. Its kind of hard to really put it in some sort of aspect, but the energy the physical body produces is only meant for itself.

Yet, when we do not feed, the spiritual body decideds to take energy from the physical.

Its like... if you ever went without eating for a long period of time, phsycially. You begin to loose weight as your physical body eats away the fat. Yet eventaully there isn't enough fat to be taken away so it begins to eat away muscle. Which is bad, because it begins to leave you weak.

Thats kind of how it is for us. If we don't feed, the physical strength we gained through food begins to sap away from us, making us phsycially weak and ill if we go to long without feeding.

How often one needs to feed is entirely subjective your body will tell you when you need to feed. There is a difference between need and want. You will "want" to feed well before you need to feed. The time will also differ depending on the type of vampire you are sang, psy or sang/psy mix. Regardless of the type you will crave it long before you need it and the longer you go without the worse the cravings get. Unlike smoking the cravings will never go away. The psy and sang/psy mix vampires can feed almost anywhere almost anytime so should have little problem with this.

as long as needed...activity will increase the hunger...but go to sleep and we can live for hundreds of years without blood....

wow dragon you don't really know do you. We are humans live the same lifespan and everything just with slight differences. And as for how long we can go depends on how long we intend to torture ourselves. We NEED the pranic energy that resides in the blood of normal humans. so it all depends on the vampire

Don't know how long I went without... but I had it in my mind(before I found out) that I didn't need to do what my body was always doing for a while... somehow I turned off the natural feeding thing.(I am mainly psy) ...but it's a good thing that I laid down cuz I couldn't get back up... my muscles didn't want to work... like I had to actually concentrate on breathing... then I found out what I was and that i'm not just insane. SO I'm good now but I DID go a while without feeding on energy... at least very much. I know a few times I felt my body pull some in on it's own even though I was telling it not to. But it was hard. I still don't know how long that was though because I was so weak I can't remember... all I know was it was too long and I'm not goona do it again. It's pretty bad when it gets to the point where breathing and... pretty much EXISTING(at least in a physical body) is hard. (I think it might have been two months... maybe longer maybe shorter... I don't know my mind wasn't working and time was really screwed up.)

i think that is you are pychic vampire then you can go quite awhile without feeding because energy is so powerful...but is you are a blood drinking vmapire then you need to go only about a week with out feeding...because blood is not that powerful

Personally I feed both ways and I find blood to be much more potent and I can go much longer without feeding after drinking. However I can psy feed anytime anywhere for a greater duration depending on the source. If you can do both or just psy feed then with all the limitless sources there is really no need to do without unless you just want to fast.

Actually, Yes, blood, well for those who are aspected towards it, is potent for us. All we need is a little lick of it and you can feel the surge of energy rush through your body. The fact is, Blood is the most simpliest idea of energy. When we look into it without blood we cannot live. Granted there is more to it then just that, but it comes down to the basic of such.

Pranic is stronge, yet those who have a hard time trying to feed through this means or are warriors and their natural shielding and grounding, tends to make it harder on us to pull through psy and emotions, unless they are the strongest of emotions or an over whelming amount of energy is given off.

So Sanguine Ingestion seems to be a better source for us, makes sense since we warriors are more physically aspected then the rest of our brothers and sisters of the Condition.

its different for different vampires....how long can you go without food and water? It's not comfortable to not eat for a week or longer but is possible....How strong is your will?

Vampires aren't real...But in the stories, they can continue living forever, just not good...They are weak and almost Zombie-like...

I believe as long as they have a good energy source -for lack of words- they can go for a while without eating.

a vampire can go for about 2 mounths without feeding. i should know i am a vampire. but after about a mounth we start to lose energy due to the lack of plasma that is in the blood we drink. after about amounth and a half we start to lose touch with our surroundings, and we start to fade in and out of consiousness.

Probably a few years if they are lucky. embraced Vamps can last forever, but born and awakened vamps can last a few years. Depends on how strong you are.

I believe it really depends on the individual vampire and how strong they are. However, at some point every vampire will feed in one form or another. whether it be through psychic feeding or blood feeding. at the point where a vampire reaches a necessity to feed he will feed whether he realizes he is feeding or not, sort of like a survival instinct.

I think that it depends on how much that person has trained themself to endure. If a person is only prepered to deal with day to day, then most likly feed on a daily basis in one form or another. If they are prepared weekly, then most likely on a weekly basis. And so on.

I think all vampires are different

basically the older a vampire is the longer they can usually go without feeding, the newbies have a harder time going without it. Older vampires usually train themselves to work out other means to keep them healthy until finding an acceptable donor

that depends on if you mean life or sanity realy? and eternity of being undead without the bliss of the blood? Surely this would be maddening? But I dont know you will have to ask a real vampire

Hmm... I think it's an individual answer...if it's energy that is everywhere so maybe it rarely happens they are without energy.

As long as they can put up with the same symptoms as a drug addict going through withdrawal. The only difference is a drug addict will suffer temporarily. We on the other hand, once we cross the line of blood lust, will suffer for as long as we live if we don't attain it.

this are all really good points, and I agree it has to do with that indiviual stamina. but some belive that if they go tooo without feeding they go into a comatose state until they are fed by another but I am not sure about that.......i'm just a werewolf.

Vampires are living and dead. The part that is living needs nourishment of the earthly kind. The dead part also needs nourishment, from the soul of the bled. Blood provides both of these essential elemants. You cannot kill what is already dead but a aliving being needs nourishement or else it will perish or at least rot. I do not think a defininte time scale can be ascertained. The stronger the spirit the longer the time.

It depends on what type of vampire you are asking about. Not all vampires need to feed of the blood of humans or animals to survive.

I don't know honestly, I am constantly feeding from the life energy of those around me.

How long? hmm..well i guess the proper answer to that would be as needed or when hungry in other words....just like in every living thing as it consumes energy..energy has to be replaced by "refueling" done through eating and sleeping...so basically in a vampire as energy is used ..it also has to be replaced

well since im a psi vampire,its been almost 5 months without sexual energy (long story) as long as i have my regular energies to feed from then im all set but if i didnt then forget it i wouldnt last one day.

As many have already said, it depends on the vampire. I've never gone long enough to find out how long I can last. I absorb energy from everything in my environment. Food, drinks, trees, storms, the sun, etc. I rarely have to feed from others.

I agree with what seems to be the general consensus. All depends on the strength of the vampire. More powerful may last for eternity, while new fledgelings may not last many days. I believe it depends on how you utilize the energy from feeding as well...unnecessary expension can cause undue stress.

I think it would depend on what your used too but I would only say a month or two.
