Hey I just read the forum "Vampire" Murder and was just curious, do you think that if you were a die hard vampire and NEEDED to feed really bad. Would you kill someone? I mean odd question, but seriously, if you were that desperate for blood, would you take someone elses life?

I think that this is a way of determining wether or not feeding is a necessity or just a desire. Because a desire is strong, but its not so powerful that you would go out and take another persons life.

So just wondering what you think.

No, I wouldn't kill someone. All you have to do to conserve is drink enough to just barely keep me from getting all sick and dying.

I would not kill for it is frownd apon and I could get put away and never to be able to feed agian.

I could never kill someone because I figure that it isn't up to me to decide who lives or dies. Karma will do its justice in due time.

I don't know the answer to this question truthfully, I've never went so long from feeding on this plane of reality, I believe that I may be doing some killing in the present time but on a different dimensional realm.

I find that in this existence I'd rather feed only of the willing those whom I call my "leters".

Sometimes that question is well quesionable. Would not a loyal dog attack its master if it went without food long enough. We are a preditory creature. If not fed, even with control that line could be breached.

I personally could never kill another. The only reason would be if they hurt my children. Otherwise, murder isnt in my vocabulary in that sense..

I would do everything possible to prevent myself from taking human life... But accidents happen.

I do not belive that you would need to feed to the point of killing, unless that is what you wished to do. Each Vampire has to decide that for themselves though.

vamoyres dont feed to kill anymore...sorry love but if the need to feed is so bad and it might lead to hurting someone..there are ways to feed without injuring a host.

I agree I would just take enough to survive off of until I had a more plentiful sorce.

Oh and I would aslo leave enough blood in the victim so that way they would be just fine and able to survive just fine even without going to the hospital!^-^

If it came down to it and the only way I was going to survive was to kill another being, then you can bet damn skippy that someone else was buying the farm.

I don't really believe anyone has to die for you to maintain a physical existence. And as for insuring an afterlife, there are other ways to go about it. Murder isn't something you want to do just as a 'what if' unless you're real certain you understand the consequences.

It's a good question,

But I would not like to reach a level where taking the life of another seems a neccessity for survival.

There is no reason why two or more capable individuals cannot support the needs of a vampyre.

If more is taken, it may be that pleasure becomes the motivating factor behind the act.

I think Stabb makes an excellent point here. The pleasures inherent in gluttony or sadism, for that matter, would seem to be the real motivating forces behind that type of behavior in the first place. It has little to do with survival as much as it has to do with the desire for power over another being.

Never would take a life for that reason there are other ways for feeding if your that desperate.

i would never take a life just to satisfying my cravings for blood (if i ever was a blood vampire). its just not cool to do that. i would find other ways to get the blood. like put meat (from a grocery store) in a blender and chop that shit up. or drain the blood from the package meat into a cup then put in a microvewave for a few mins then drink it. ok i know this is sick but i watched it on tv from those movies or shows and blood vampires can do it that way instead of killing people for their blood.

Interesting idea..though I think it would moreorless negate the fact that the blood is living as essential. If you were simply a blood fetishist though, I imagine this would work fine.

Maybe if I were one of those mythical immortal vampires who live only on blood... sure... as I am now... I'd only kill the people upstairs. I, myself don't need blood, just energy. I just crave blood sometimes.

No I would not. That would be what we call murder. Feeding is taking what you need.

Thanks guys and girls, love it, nice to know that most of you people out there wouldn't kill anyone. But some of you people are nuts lol (mean that in a nice way) So if you were starved to that point, you would not kill, then question, how do you say that blood is a necessity?

I would only kill someone if it were me or them then I would go mideval on their asses

i believe that drinking may be both necessity and desire...but I also believe that killing someone is not the way to go with it...

You're damn right I'd kill for blood if I were a vampire! I kill to eat now, so why wouldn't I continue to do so if my tastes (and biophysical needs) changed?

well i would say that, at least for me, i don't have to murder for feeding when i bite it doesn't require the murder cuz i dont drain them fully

Taking anything to excess is dishonourable and murder for the sake of feeding is a senseless waste, particularly if the victim tastes good.

In almost every society, be it game, movie, real, or whatever, there are common sense rules that should be followed. Draining a bloodsack dry is just stupid. You drink a bit and then find another. A dead body is going to attract a LOT of unwanted attention. Where as a person going to the police claiming that a crazy person jumped them, drank some of their blood, and then ran off WITHOUT taking their money.

A premeditate murder has no excuse, always exist another options, but...if i would be force to defende myself or a dear person, i would kill ......in extreme situations i change very quick, and lose any positive or negative feeling and just react.....

Many people cannot respect those that take human life, but more they do not understand those that do take it.
The desire is more powerful in some than others, but those without those impulses, will never be able to comprehend the lust for that which killers need. Q.Do they need it?
When something gets in your head and starts controlling your concentration, overtaking your control, that desire grows ever more powerful until you give in to it.
So I guess you either have it building inside you or you don't, it's out of your control. Would I kill someone, no, sure I would like to be able to sometimes, but the fact that I remain in control of myself says that I am not drowned in desire, not yet anyway.

Its really not necessary you can get more than enough blood from a live person, and they continue to make more instead of just loosing it all and getting you in jail for 1st degree murder and insanity. If you've ever been to a blood drive then its quite obvious you can get all you need and then some from a live person.

Personally it's what you believe. And my belief is if you are a vampire and you claim to be real then you should not have to drink to stay alive. Drinking is a choice not a necessity. That is what I truely believe. So I would say no I would never take another humans life for my own pleasure the only way I would ever kill anybody is if they hurt someone I am close to or they are family

While I accept that not all vampric organisations and individuals follow the Black Veil and other related codes of ethics, it is normally the case that members of any house, Coven or Brotherhood are asked to comply with the mundane laws of the state in which they reside.

This is just common sense. Anyone that claims to be vampyric and subsequently feels that they are within their rights to murder in order to satisfy their need, is, for me, no longer human and has stepped beyond the bounds of decency and honour.

I would never kill anyone, unless they hurt either me or someone very close to me! As for the feeding thing...why kill them..just bite them somewhere that wont kill them, the arm or the back or the chest! you CAN feed WITHOUT killing...but its up to that particular person...if they dont want to kill that person then they wont but if they do then they will..(i hope that makes sense to you)

Well although the desire is always strong i think one should be careful enough to avoid killing others. Just be happy with what you get. You can always "feed" a second time if you like.

LOL I'm suprised this thing is still going. I nearly gave up hope on it. Well now for my personal opinion. Most are thinking along the lines of killing for feeding is murder, a crime. Which it is and that is how i feel, it is a crime probably not only threw law but it is probably against most vampires as well. It is pointless unless you are just out to kill someone.

Todays day and age it is near to impossible to get away with murder, so why try? I dont want to go to prison that bad. So yeah, point is, Murder+feeding=stupidity X's jail time to the third power lol.

I couldn't kill a person not even if I would hate that person with whole my heart. I would kill myself not long after. If I would die without it I would go to a close friend and ask him or her if I could get a little blood.

The way I see it is... is it considered murder if an animal like a wolf kills a deer to feed called murder? I know I would if I had to. I agree with Vampwriter on that one. But I also agree that you don't have to kill in order to feed.

i also agree with VladTheImpaler04 conservation, ya..i guess a desire is not as strong as a necessity but when you look at what people do for money how would this be any different? greed and envy is the desire we all have...and greed is the most common way of success believe it or not...but you never really know how strong you are until you push for it right?

most don't scream murder when you kill and animal for food(although some do) so i don't think it's murder for a vampire to kill some one for sustinance... some don't even say it's murder to kill animals for sport... seems kinda fucked up to me but yeah that has nothing to do with this... i guess it's not up to anyone to say whats murder and what isn't but thats just me

i dont think it is fair to even consider murder to be anything more than just that... murder. i have a person that i trust to drink of i would not ever murder anyone for it . there is no vampyric murder there is just murder period.

Wow....this is all very interesting to me. I am not a vamp. I am wiccan so there for I do not believe in killing and I am glad to know that most of you would not. Its nice to see that most have evolved. If you did feed to kill in this society I think once you were caught you would be put away in a looney house becuase most do not believe. Its better to keep it under radar.

Considering I used to be a police officer (got hurt/had to quit) I know that I am quite able to take another's life - if it's them or me - I'm the one to survive.... if the need to feed was so great, and that to totally drain a person was the way to survive, then I'd try and take an older someone off the street, someone that would not be missed so easily...a harsh thing to say, but if my survival was at stake (excuse the pun) then I could take a life.

I would have to say the a Real Vampire would have to just be Feeding...it would not be so much killing another person as we see it...we don't see eating a hamburger as killing...I think it would give you a different level of awareness that would put you over humans the way humans "think" that they are over everything else

i wouldn't take someone's life to feed unless they absolutely deserved it, such as doing wrong-doing to me or my girlfriend... other then that, i would just get it from cuts or donors.. that are willing to let me have a taste of their blood

Well, let's see...vampires need blood to live right? Or so the stories, myths, and legends say. If I myself was a vampire, desperate to live, and had *no* other means of survival, then yes, I might very well live through eternity with the guilt that I have to kill an innocent soul just to keep myself alive. I wouldn't last long though because eventually the guilt of taking an innocent life would be enough to kill me.

Vampires should not have to kill in order to feed . . . like has been said, we take a little from this one and a little from that one, keeps our secret and everyone is alive for another day.

I do know that if it was push comes to shove and it was kill or myself die - then I would have no problems doing so. . . but only as a last resort.

It really depends on the situation...if vampies truelly existed, then feeding for them is murder to us. But I oculd never kill a person...Hell, I couldn't even kill myself, so, how in the hell could I kill another person?

t's called murder for a reason, and that's simply what it is. there is never really any reason to kill someone other than for revenge because you can just go find another to feed upon

but you can't call eating a carrot murder....or eating a fish murder...

That could lead in to calling it murder to slaughter a cow for hamburger, eventhough it's justified as the animal is a source of food. hmmm.. but isn't that just the case with a vampire feeding on a human? Or is it murder because the food source is a human rather than a ''less intelligent animal"?
