I have heard of many ways to become a vampire......The classical transfusion of blood, reflecting a dead body, a simple bite..........are just a few.

I have heard of the blood transfusion and the bite, I don't know how true the bite is...though it is the most common. I think the blood transfusion is a crock. But that is only my opinion

According to Montague Summers book, The Vampire in Lore and Legend, Vampires could also be made by improper burial, excommunication from the church right before death, being cursed, a woman raped by a vampire could give birth to one, and dying without last rites.

The lores/legends varied by country.

A lot of the changing methods are simply folklore or have been fictionized so in my opinion it'd have to come down to how you believe it could happen...i'm sold on the simple bite.

if we are talking about traditional vampires, the n i would say a bite.
if we are refering to psy vampires or those who draw energy, then anyone who can take energy from another without their explicit permission is a vampire. notice i said take.

The first vampires were born vampires. But as we began to becme more involved with humans, less vampires could be born naturally, and some had to have the change forced on them through blood or bite. not everyone can be a vampire. You must possess the genes.
I myself have seen the product of a blood transfusion and the bite. The bite is simple, but dangerous, and the transfusion is an exact art and can go terribly wrong as well.

I have recently read that people could be turned into vampires: if a cat jumps over their grave or if their soul cannot leave their body. Another is that if you are exumed and replaced by a banana tree trunk carved in your likeness. Also if you eat a piece of sheep meat that was wounded by a werewolf. And there is a widely known acclaim that vampirism is caused merely by a virus.

well if we go by the myths from the books i read you can also be cursed into, another is that the atlanteans came up with a technology called nanos that were put into the body that regenerate n repair damage therefore forcing the body to ingest blood to keep repairing itself, etc, there are two more ways to add to the ways to become a vamp.

i forgot to add that i guess those two ways are possible, althought im more apt to believe the curse is more so than the atlantean version, and as far as what kind of vamps they create, i have no idea, havent read too much into it. if you read the dark hunter novels by sherrilyn kenyon which is ONLY a fictional novel it goes more in dept to the atlantean thing, puts a new twist on vampirism, its not based alot out of fact, but its a cool read, i enjoyed them.

Either you are or you aren't...It has to already be a part of you...It could have already surfaced, or it may be buried deep inside...The fictional stories, myths, and legends are just that, fiction...It's all about the Energy, your Energy...The timing of One's Awakening may vary, but is already apart of those who become Aware...

most vampires are "awakend" durring or around puberty, but there are other ways to be awakend like the bite. it is a mostly psychological thing the action usualy is somthing you would relate to vampirism like a bite or blood and it unlocks a part of yourself you didnt know about. as for the transfer of psi energy, it is posible and in my personal experience it has worked but the person you are trying to awaken has to have the potential or show signs of psi vampirism before you just shove a strange energy into them.

Vampires come in many different forms. They take shape of their creator. Some may never know how they came to be it is just who you are! It is fun to fantasize about how it really came to be though!NFA

I guess the only thing I can say is that Vampires are born that way, or they are Sired. I know that I was sired, and that he's never abandoned me since I was a kid. The question should be, how were vampires created in the first place?

i personally believe that the old folk tales of how vampires are born may be true, as in blood diffusions suicides and such what, but as always i have looked for other answers to vampirism, and one that i think could have spanned afew myths is the blood difficiency... which was treated by drinking human or mamal blood,... this was potent in the aristocracy of the past and didnt tend to skip generations due to the close inbreeding, also because of the inbreeding the people who lived in the same house,,, often looked the same and could be percieved as never having changed person,, by some neive peasents nearby, so i think that a mixture of hereditary and blood diffusion are most likely.... i do not however agree with the psychic vampire transformations(that does not mean i am against psychic vampires.

Thank you for the words of support. I'm glad that my words do not offend in regards to those who live the life more fully than I am able to.

I am troubled by the term 'otherkin', since it covers a vast range of non-human entities, but in order to refine the description of what may be capable of producing such an event, I would have to reach into the realms of the outrageous and I'm not quite ready to put my neck on the block for such ideas.

At least, not until I can come up with a half decent hypothesis n it...lol

I know that the most common answer i have been given about awakened vampires is that of a born trait but I've read that the original ones achieved that immortality through the rituals of death and rebirth so I'd assume that it was still a valid form of transformation though I've not seen anything solid on a historical support for those rituals.

Perhaps it might be the case that the technique could have been refined over the ages?

Is it not possible, likely even, that the process becomes more of a learned ability after a while?

And what of otherkin today? Could not some of them be aware of the same process and utilise it as was done before?

See now I was under the impression that the statement 'awakened' meant that it awakened something already in you (something 'sleeping'). I was under the impression that this applied to the otherkin as well. An internal spirit that is and was always in line with the animal or beast. I was not aware that anyone could be 'turned' and because the ritual mentioned in texts is just that (a mention) one wonders if anyone could offer historical context or original methods. That would make it difficult to 'refine' if you don't know the recipe that your refining.

I like where your conjecture is heading and it's an interesting concept. It's difficult to say for sure though that those memories would be of a past life, your past lives or of some collective consciousness (a la Jung)?

This is another area where I've dipped my toe in, not with a collective consciousness between individuals, but with one-self across parallel realities of awakened states. A conjoining of one's own identity, experience and knowledge into one supreme form of self-awareness.

Then link into a group experience and see what happens. And if the other members of that group also acheive the same state, well, the possibilities boggle the mind... to the point of giving me a headache...

From reading about witchcraft, just practice the craft and die come back a vampire. Then the hollywood stereotypes.personally am not a vampire have not been bitten or drank a sires blood. But I have drank of my blood , had a pint of ice cream afterwards.

I would have to say that something of it must already exist. Just about everything requires some form of foundation to build on. It is very hard to build and create without the materials to start with. Just an opinion.

since i feel that ALL people have latent psychic ability....then it within ANYONE to become an energy drainer...as I believe that energy manipulation is simply a psychic feeding per se

Depeneds on what type of vampire. I f you are wanting to be a blood vampire you must be bitten and then exchange blood with and by a vampire. Psy would have do it through hypnosis.

I read in a book once that eating a sheep killed by a wolf will turn you. I dont know how realistic that sounds. I dont really believe it because of how uknown tha tsounds. I have never heard of a transition from that. I have no idea waht kind of vampyre u become. Just something I read. the book is called.
