I have read and have been told about something called a soul marker.Where two soul mates can find each other lifetime after lifetime.
I would love to hear yer views.

I personally think that when you die that's it. Your soul either goes to heaven or hell.

I have heard of a soul marker - but I'm unsure of it's ramifications. What I've read suggests that we are generally with the same group of souls lifetime after lifetime. As if we're all woven into the same spider web. I think that a soul marker would be more of a bond between two souls that allow them to know the other.

i would like to hear more about this. do you have an article or some kind of written text that could support this theory? if so please give us some kind of a reference.. i think there may be an afterlife but i have no idea what it may be, and if there is a way to reunite with loved ones i would surely love to hear a theory on it

Yes... I can relate to this theory. I saw a medium (very legit, knew things I told no one and didnt hesitate to blurt it out in front of my family) who told me that I had been with my mother and step-father in a previous life, however in the life she was discussing my mother was my husband and my step-father a gaurd and friend. She said that we keep coming together because my mother and I always butt heads (very true) and dont listen to each other which results in arguements (also true) and that my step-father is with us again because his soul is tired of the bull shit. So basically, we are together yet again to fix our past.

another thing how is it truely possible to know who your soul mate is? or if it is even possible to have. alot of this i would believe is related to having some kind of religion, and religion is more of a moral code than having any factual basis

I fail to see the wrong in wondering if anybody has ever researched the topic. That doesn't make a person some gullible sue willing to believe anything, it just means I'd like to more, preferably from somebody who has actually thought about and looked into the subject, rather than just dismissing it off hand as some silly day dream. On another side of the spectrum, I have a situation to throw out there. Say one does find that person who instantly makes them feel at easy, safe, etc when normal one does not feel comfortable with anyone in an instant. Now, you would think "soul mates," correct? But what if that person thats makes them so comfortable doesnt have the same feelings for the other? What if it is all one sided? Is this just a passing fancy mistaken for a "soul mate" or is it one soul moving forward and growing, leading it to separate from its other half?

if u have no religion chances are u dont believe in an afterlife or a soul for than matter. what you are saying may make it appear that there is a possible soul mate, but many times when this new sensation is felt people so frequently mistake lust for love and then find out down the road your mate and you are calling it quits.. if it is possible for a soul mate and soul marker im sure it would take many years for you to get to know them and then it would feel like a soul mate

Im not sure about that... I consider the concept of a soul mate to be what was mentioned about. They travel through their lives together. Now after enough lives together, I would think they'd know each other very well... enough to make that spark in some lifetime or another... I'm not sure if I'm making sense here, but I hope someone understands what I am trying to get at...

a soulmate dosent always have to be a love partner in every life sometimes you can just be friends and still be really close....ive read books on this in the past and several books i have read stated that fact.... i do belive we all have a marker that draws us to certain people when have known in the past lives but dosent always mean a intiment relationship in each life..........

I must admit it would be nice if such a thing existed a soul marker but i beleive that once you die its over , there is nothing after or for the futur you stop existing and thats it. Of course if such a thing as a second life would exist a marker would be the most logical thing to exist, since hostory tends to repeat itself

Its a bond that simply won't die between to people....Friends , loved ones , even enemies can share this bond...But it's something that both are aware of and can be lost if not acted on.

It's a very romantic idea, and personally I wouldn't mind writing a story about it; I'm sure it could get pretty interesting.

But, I have that whole thing where I believe whatever it is that happens when you give up the ghost, whether its fairy tales or nothing at all...you can't prove it. Either way.

But it's a nice thought. I'd like to think there's someone out there who is looking for me. On the other hand, I can't exactly twiddle my thumbs waiting for the man or woman of my dreams to come along. Depending upon fate to bring you good things would be a mistake, I'd think.

Could there be a larger difference between soul mates and soul markers? I only ask because the term "mate" has more of a meaning of possession to me, and a romantic ring to it. However, the term "marker" is being debated in my head as more of a duo or small group of people who have spiritual ties

although i believe over the years people have just said soul mate......when in refrence to someone they have loved in a past life..... but reading on some of the books it refers to it as a soul marker.... so we may find those who we have known before sometime we do reconnect with a lover we had been with in a past life and start where you left off say to speak but mostly is friends and loved ones you knew before.... this marker is belived to not only help us find those we loved in past lives but also helps us to know those we did not trust and did harm to us .... like for instance have you ever just met someone and had a strong feeling like you did not like the person or trust them at all......or that they scared you and you do not want to be around them.... it could be that marker there to let you know that you need to be wary of that person because of experiences in a past life with them.........

i think a soul marker is actually the two halves that make up the whole. basically 2 souls that complete each other, that is how they find each other. kind of like a beacon a magnetic pull maybe, but for souls. and the other people could be kindred sprirts? so then your friends or the people you identify with most most likely shared a life with you previously? i like that idea as well. could it be possible that if the sould does mutate or change after being rebirthed that it might be possible to eventually have more than one soul mate, that another soul then completes you? or maybe the two halves would change together and so if one changes at a faster rate that would explain those who have no soulmate, they are merely waiting for their other half to catch up

Soul markers and soul mates are not the same thing. Just like a map is not the same thing as the destination. Does that make any sense? Soul mates are souls that are binded together. Using the web ananlogy - if you were the center - than the souls in the rings closest to you would be your soul mates. Is isn't just for lovers and one can have more that one soul mate with differeing degrees of closeness. The "mates" would be the thread connecting you and the "marker" would be something internal so you recgonize the other.

I would love to think that there is a mark on my soul seeking out the mark of another in order to complete both.

I've never come across the term "soul marker", but I have read that your closest friends will be with you in each lifetime. Soul mates are drawn together by fate, it seems.

Could it be that similar patterns are attracted to one anothers company, even in a non-concious sense?

We simply gravitate towards like minds, time and again.

The odds are, that over multiple existences, we will bump into those others and perhaps, there is one that ticks all the boxes, that we are drawn to without reason, save only love.

We might be capable of learning what those indicators are, what the marker feels like, over time.

I believe that you can have soul markers.....but whether you are with them over and over each life is a different story.

Mediums or spiritual people can see soul makers in one's aura or energy.I have never heard if they know who it is that placed it.And usually it is for lovers, but can be family or freinds, etc.I have never heard of one being placed concering enemies.It is placed with the help of the energy of both involved.It is most simply a vow, spell, a heartfelt hope, if u will, of seeing that person again in the next life.

I believe in the whole soul mate thing, this soul marker is interesting, never heard of it before and takes a new meaning to me.

My own thinking is and based on an actual event, this guy walked into the club I was at. I was with some friends. I never met him, didn't know him and yet I was drawn to him. He came over to one of the guys that was with us. We met. Later that night, I looked at my girlfriend and said that's the guy I'm going to marry and yes in a year we had a child, got married and lived happily for about 5 yrs and then it started going downhill. We stayed married for 11. Sometimes I think what we are drawn to isn't always right for us but the question is why were we drawn to it in the first place. Did I know him in a past life? Could be, still searching for answers to that but thought I'd share this...I didn't think he was my soulmate. I loved him more like a friend as I got to know him.

soul mates are a real deal. i have meet mine but i was to late in finding her and she married some one else. i also know that there are ways to mark some ones soul for different reasons. it all depends on whom and how. i beilieve i ran in to a second one. i aslos belive the thous that are need are brought back into this world.

While I do not believe in reincarnation, if there were such a thing as a soul marker, it'd be simply something which would draw a couple together, a sort of recognition, a familiarity, rather than an actual marker.

I believe that if someone is really your soulmate that their souls would automatically come together again. I also believe that most people who are soulmates have probably already been together in their last lifetime. I say this because a lot of people have deja' vu with their spouses.

There is also the idea that this marker is within the person’s actual energy. It is why often people who do find their soul match, often date or see people who appear or are of very similar energy prior to their finding the correct match.

At times the thought of this romantic ideal leads people to call a match something it is not. Or to have unrealistic ideas as to how it should be. While soul mates have much going for them, there are down sides. What happens when the two that are indeed soul mates, loose the other? How do they deal with that kind of grief. Or what if the current life damages one beyond repair so that the match is no longer what it had been.

Far better to live in the now. Take each relationship and interaction with other people for the gift that it is. While I do believe both in the soul marker and soul mates, I do not think it is an ideal. I think it hinders people from living a full life on their own wondering who is the one. When they should focus on the one that they are, and let the other find them.

Religious beliefs aside, I will admit that there are people who just "fit" unexpectedly even on a first meeting. It's even happened to me with people I didn't necessarily WANT to feel drawn to. I don't know what that little something is...seems just beyond my ability to understand it.

In doing past life meditations, I've come away with one definite observation..."Always, its YOU" (my current soulmate)..Not always in the same relationship dynamic as the current life, but he's always there.

Well I am one who beleives that a soul mate can be a friend or a lover. I found one in a dear friend in this lifetime. Our lives are so meshed together. I would love to think that on a romantic level that your soul mates find you in each life. Its a nice thought.

I've never heard of this before. But it's an interesting thought. It all really depends if you believe in reincarnation, and I'm not really sure what I believe happens after you die... well not yet at least.

I would have to say that I do believe that it is very possible for two souls to be destined for one another. Whether they find each other or not during a lifetime is another story. Actually, I have always had this reoccuring dream of a husband and two children. I can never see his face. I still have the dream even though I'm married. My current husband doesn't want children. Ravenna, I believe that our dreams are a way for our subconscious's higher power to guide us in the direction in which we were intended to go. For me, not only are dreams precognitive but they seem to all be about something in my future (not anyone in general). OK I dont know about a soul marker, but I will tell you about what I always believed and was told.

The soul, is basically broken down, into several pieces, and through each lifetime, the incarnation of a person is given a tiny piece of the whole soul.

When that person dies, that piece returns to the larger part. And the same piece is never given twice in a row, but when a person dies, the memories and feelings the person with that part of the soul had, remains, and when the soul returns, is added to the memoriies and feelings of the WHOLE.

Sometimes, two people are given a piece of the same soul, and when they meet, they recognize each other because they are both part of each other and the same larger half. This is why some people remember thier past lives, and sometimes remember people in them.

I believe that people can be soul mates and not necesarrily meet in all of their lives. But as for the soul marker, i have never heard of it, but it's a neat concept. ^^

I am on my second marriage and don't get me wrong here, but my first husband was without a doubt, my soul mate. He was killed before we turned 20. I have found my soul mate in this life that wsa from a past life... soul markers are what demons use to identify you as their property. they are usually called tags.

In addition to my previous response I would have to say that I believe that many people are drawn to one another throughout each of their lives. These individuals could have been friends or enemies in each of their previous lives; however, they are drawn to one another by some force.

i think anything is as you believe it to be, you create your own fate for the most part. i believe you might just be creating a perfect person in your head and as soon as you have found them they usually turn out to be your "soul mate".
but sometimes, this is a false feeling, thus the reason people are married and divorced a few or more times in their lifetime.
i also have discovered a view in which im learning to understand that there might actually be a "soul mate" out there for everyone, because of what i have found and maybe, just maybe people are destined for eachother, maybe more than one person in seperate lifetimes, one in one life time and another person in another lifetime, maybe we dont just have one "soul mate".

I do believe there are soul markers. My reason may be a little strange but if you ponder on it I will make sense.
A one year old child is given a small green ball to play with he does what most children that age do. He puts it in his mouth. Now if you take that ball from him and place it next to a ball of the same size and color he will go to the ball he had his mouth on. This happens EVERY time. In our first lives (if we are fortunate enough) we "mark" our mates. As we live one life after another striving to attain perfection we are able to "find" our mates where ever they may be.

For those that wish to farther their insight on this; the term you are looking for is a "god fragment." This is one reason why we are all connected and know each other from.

I believe VERY strongly in this i'm with my soulmate i knew it from the very minute i laid eyes on her that this was it ..there was no other girl in the world for me but her....right, wrong, or indifferent. I also believe you interact with the same souls over and over again...cause i have tons of friends i just know i was mean to hang with and learn with..that i just feel like ive know forever even if i ahve just met them...its great feeling..but i'd still love to read articles on the subject

ineteresting idea to say the least. if that were true i guess that'd explain why i have so much problems with relationships... lol. always have been alone over the lifetimes.
