The tradition that there are ruling angels who watch over or govern the twelve signs of the zodiac. They are often to be considered synonymous with the various angels of the months of the year. Specifically, the angels of the zodiac are as follows:

Uriel is one of the archangels of post-Exilic Rabbinic tradition, and also of certain Christian traditions. His name may have analogies with Uriah.

Well, the description for Ambriel I've seen is very ambigous as just a "angel inspires clear communication and is also considered to be an angel of general protection"

So no. I tend to ignore my zodiac anyways.

These Angels are also now determined by month of the year. So any one star sign will be goverend by two different Angels, depending on whether you are born in one month or another.

Further, more Angels are guardian over smaller time frames, so there is likelyhood of any one person having at least two Zodiac Angels of influence, according to the idea.

(There are suggestions that there could even be Angels for each hour of the day and so on)

I actually do believe in mine. Mine is Ambriel, and she is a protector. I have lived through some freak accidents without so much as a scratch. One such accident involved me and my father in a car wreck one night when we flipped his SUV onto the roof. Neither of us were wearing seat belts. I was completely unharmed, and if the roof would have collapsed a couple inches more, the top of my seat would have crushed my neck.

I can't say I believe in a zodiac angel so much as guardian angels in general, and even that i'm a little sketchy on, but i guess it's all in how you look at it.

I have a strong belief when it comes to angels, but I have never really heard about them being assingned to certaing time periods. If someone know a little about the subject could you please message me describing it?

No, sorry. To make a little clearer, the Zodiacs fall across two calendar months, for example, Virgo falls at the end of August and covers most of September as well, so there is a different Angel for Virgo, depending on when in the sign a person is born.

It would be either HAMALIEL (August) or URIEL (Sep).

Also, if a person is born on the cusp, between 18th and 23rd of September, the Angel MENADEL would also be guardian.

some believe that you have to be christian faith to believe in angels b/c they are sent from god

I have always believed that angels exist and that I know I have one. Certain things that happened in my life tell me that this is so, but I have never known about the names of the angels for the different astrological signs.

I was born on July 5th and this is the information they told me about my angel... this would explain maybe why I am the way I am lmao.

On the first one, Angels of Months, for October and February, you have the same one, Barbiel. Scroll down for Angel of Zodiacs, and Barbiel is strictly for Scorpio, which is the end of October/most of November. Heh.

Well, I never heard of Zodiac Angels before. But I hear following the Zodiac in the first place is a sin against God. Im a Christian but meh, I dont yell at those who belive in the Zodiac. I look at it on occasion then go about other things in my life.
I do belive God has assigned each one of us an Angle weather or not the person belives in God. But I bet others may disagree.

I was taught that there are levels of Angels, they advance levels based on their experiences. With each new level they gain more power. The highest level is the Principaltiies they have solid gold wings, Thrones which have deep purple wings, Dominions have green wings, Virtues have pale blue wings, Seraphim have white wings with silver tips, Cherubim have white wings with gold tips, Archangels have pure white wings and Least experienced Angels have grayish white wings.

My question is who came up with this month to angel idea in the first place? I believe in angels in a roundabout way but my concern is what is the source of it all? When I trained to do astrological charts long ago before computers we didn't talk about this sort of stuff.

I've always been interested in my zodiac sign (Pisces, I think) and horoscopes and such, but I've never heard of their angels. I don't think I believe in them, though; I have my own things I believe in, and I think that the belief in these angels would contradict who I am.

I've been thinking about this a lot, and while i find myself in agreement with the characteristics that my guardian zodiac angel is supposed to bring to me, i also know that being born on a cusp means that i tend to fall through all the usual zodiac gaps. So, i would say that while i keep an open mind, i don't think that my zodiac angel is my specific guardian.

Since I am a Scorpio, who was born on November 1st, what does all this mean MD? You seem to have a good grasp on all of this. I do believe we all have guardian angels, but was never aware that there were particular ones assigned to each of us. I know I was in a couple of wicked car accidents that I should have died in and came out of both with minor injuries. Well, at least not life threatening. And all the paramedics, firemen, and police on both scenes were shocked I ever walked away. Only a guardian could have helped me through both.

I am an Aries, and my Angel does not necessarily represent me so well, but rather what I need. I am not one to argue with such things...It doesn't hurt to believe in Angels, I suppose.

Interesting. I had not realized that the zodiac was absorbed by Christianity as well though I can't say as I'm entirely surprised by this.

I began looking around and found this site:
Constellation Chamber of Penumbra where the writer has researched various forms of the zodiac and their histories and meanings. Of note was that in addition to each zodiological point having a major angel the writer has found that guardian angels were assigned to smaller groups of about every 4 days with their own guardian angels. I'm not so sure- I am a Leo, and I Looked up Verchiel as my angel- spirit of nobility and affection- that kind of hinges on the edge, but I wouldn't call it me per se...maybe being born so close to the end of July might have something to do with it?

I do not believe that there is an angel assigned to the zodiac. There are quite a few problems with linking the sign to people let alone adding a mystical creature into the equation.
