i was wondering, first some say your careful and clean some say you drink what ever and dont worry because you know the person or ect. now my question is will any of you drain blood from any type of animal to drink,

No, I never have, other than prefering my steak done rare. I was reading about a blood drinker named Cayne Presley (I believe, I may have misspeled her last name) and she says that she goes to butchers and buys animal blood because the meat had to pass all kinds of inspections and whatnot.
I personally, just don't think I could bring myself to do it...

It is blood, and you could be able to drink it. Though I wouldn't.

1. Animals aren't as clean as humans, more prone to carry diseases

2. Humans are consenting, animals cannot do so, so it could be viewed as animal cruelty.

i know of somone who was cast out of his clan because you would only drink from animals

Is there a big difference in killing an animal to drink its blood and killing an animal to eat it?

well I wouldn't do it b/c I'd have to kill it I am against it and Human Blood just appeals to me more of course i feed on permission of my (victim) but I wouldn't do it b/cI am a VEGAN when it comes to animals but I love HUMAN BLOOD THE TASTE APPEALS TO ME.

My answer to your question Destiney, I would have to answer that there is and isn't a difference. To some people, killing is killing if there's a good reason for it. But also if you kill it to eat it, then atleast you don't waste much of the carcass, but if you drink the blood and that is it, well you're wasting a good portion of the animal.

I myself, am a vegetarian, so eating an animal is out of the question, and I also happen to have a soft spot for animals, so killing them is also a no deal.

Personally I would not drink animal blood, with the understanding that it is still blood, but the idea just does not even appeal to me.

I'm a vegitarian, but if I met an animal that could talk and that had given me permision to drink from it I would. lol Not likely.

i personally don't think animal blood is as good as human. it's just the "whole nature of the beast" thing. we drink human blood.as it should be.

if it were not for the increased risk of disease I probably could ofourse if I did it would have to be an animal that I could eat afterwards and I would also skin it and use the hide for something. I believe if you are going to kill an animal as much as possible of it should be put to some kind of use. I don't believe in trophy/sport killing. The idea of getting blood from a butcher is a big turn off to me as I prefer my blood fresh and warm.

I really do not think that anyone should drink animals blood. First off, it is probably not to clean, and second of all, I do not believe in harming animals in any way.

I have not drank from an animal and I do not think I will. It is aniaml cruelty and I am against that. Besides who would want to feed off a furry, innocent animal? It did nothing to you!

There would be fewer chances of transmitting a disease animal to person rather than person to person. There are fewer diseases that transmit cross species.

Another point, raised in another thread. Would the blood from a dead animal contain the necessary energy? Wouldn't you need to feed off of a living animal?

now a little i do not understand.. some will drink others blood not testing or ect for diseases, because some people say i drink it because i need it no one sais you have to kill a animal to get blood from it. deseases or not if you thirst blood so badly and need it wouldnt you drink it from the animal as you would a nother person whom you didnt have tested

eww... no that is way too gross. U have to go though all the fur and animal skin and fat. Ur better off with a person knowing them or not.

I never did and never will, as first ( I knwo it was stated) the animal did not conscent to give me its blood, second the essence in it and energy will be different and probably not good, as it will be one of fear, hatred, unconscentual gift so it would not feed me, nor would it make me feel better, it would probably make me weaker and even sick.

the only animal blood i have tried was deer blood but it was just after it was shot and it just didnt meet the standards of human blood i have come to expect ,and before ayone says anything mindless i had to drink it because it was considered a tradition in my family and it was while hunting in ky

i do not think that would be very wise unless it was from a very rare steak animals may have things that we as humans do not even begin to understand yet

I would personally never drink blood from a living animal.

I used to eat raw steak when I was little, and before I knew I was pregnant. I stopped as soon as I knew I was pregnant. I will probably eat some after I stop breast feeding but other than that, I do not eat raw meat. The blood in raw steak does taste really good but it isn't worth possibly transmitting something to my child.

actually there is less chance of catching a disease from animal blood than human. apart from the fact that farms have to be very careful about monitoring for diseases, a lot of diseases are specific to one species, and it is harder for them to jump species. so you are less likely to catch something off another species than one of your own.

by the way - does eating black pudding count?

I will not harm animals for it is not the way but for dinner a bloody steak will do.

Actually, come to think of it animal blood is probably cleaner than some human's blood. The inside of raw meat is also sterile, (us humans introduce bacteria to it) and I think many on here are probably blue steak lovers ;)

also, animals dont smoke, take drugs, eat crap, drink tea and coffee, and most get more fresh air - so animal blood will contain far less toxins

No. Not because I fear that animal blood is inferior or anything. Just that I don't believe that you should drink from an unconsenting victim. Animals have no choice in what we do to them. Therefore I personally feel it would be wrong, but I respect the rights of others to have their own views.

I think I'd like to try animal's blood at least once, in my mind the taste will be different from humans thus of interest to me. Problem now of finding an animal that won't mind...*sighs*

Wel, it depends on how you like your meat cooked. I think perhaps we have all tasted it at one time or another. Black pudding by the way is full of blood regardless if it is cooked throughly or not.

I would never drink an animals blood just as i would never eat a rare steak it is different with a human cause you have their permission to drink nor do you have to hurt them to get it

I agree with Wolvie in that if you are to kill an animal, as much use should be made of it as possible since it just lost it's life.

But drinking from a living animal, I suppose it could be done w/o cruelty. I think there used to be certain tribes that drank from their cattle but don't quote me.

As for doing it, I wouldn't but that's because taking blood is sexually arousing to me and I'd only do it with someone I care for and am attracted to, which is not furry beasties.

i dont think it would be considered animal cruelty only because of the fact that animals dont just lay down adn allow us to kill them for food. (and even so, some ppl's food is blood) so either way its the same. why would it be wrong to purchase blood of an animal that has all ready been slaughtered?

In my opinion this thread is sounding a tad unsavoury, I am not squirmish by any means but I think it is just starting to border on the extreme. a little. Just my two cents worth.

i dont believe in crulety to animals at all either. but the way it was sounding to me was that the person would go to a butcher and buy the blood. which to me means the animal must have all ready been dead. to kill it just for blood, thats pretty wrong. but i am not a vegan and therefore many might consider killing for food to be just as bad. i drink neither human nor animal blood. but i dont think that it would be as wrong to take the blood from an all ready slaughtered animal so as not to waste any part of the animal, much like indian tribes once did.

I couldn´t imagine feeding from animals... I respect them too much... I prefer human blood... maybe because humans can decide what to do...

If they are really desperate for blood, then yes they will drink the blood of any animal; cows, sheep, horse.

Every time I state my opinion on this I susally end up getting into a heated debate, but I will do it anyway.

I am a vegetarian, as TheatresLesVampires pointed out, animals do NOT give their consent, so it would be against my personal code of ethics, and break my six years of strict vegetarianism.

However, I do not believe that animals are really less clean than us in many instances... and meat has to undergo such strict screening, that if the animals blood had dieases, then so would your steak. So yes, I believe you can drink animal blood, but I do not agree with it AT ALL.

The blood is already cold...it holds no energy for you any longer. Furthermore...the risk of disease is amazing. If you simply like the taste of blood...I heard pigs blood can be drunk. But I myself am a vegetarian. I wouldn't eat a pig so why would I wish to drink from it no matter how good it tastes?

I would'nt suggest drinking animal's blood because of the one fact that runs through my head....Rabies...Nasy virus in itself. Infects the brain, drives one mad until death occurs. Cows blood on the other hand is good. You eat rare steak right? So why not just the blood.. mmmmmm!

If you like the taste of blood but don't want to drain your pet here's a friendly alternative go to the local butcher and buy some steaks pop em on the grill long enough to cook JUST THE OUTSIDE the inside will still be sopping with juicy blood! yum yum!

Well, now, to all the "meat" eaters here. Have any of you ate a steak rare. If so, then how did it taste. Of course, that is animal blood on your tongue. However, to get an animal to let you cut it and it not try to rip your face off or whatever it would do is a whole new story. But, if you truly must have your blood, well where there's a will.....

Animal blood can usually be obtained from a butcher's shop, therefor coming from an animal that has already been slaughtered for food.

The blood can also be heated to kill impurities, much like the process that is used with meat.

Since an animal, in my opinion, can't give consent, I;d never feed from one. It'd be cruel.

I wouldn't take from animal, dead or alive. I'd still prefer human blood over animal blood any day. I just couldn't do it....not even getting it from a butcher.

Well if you're killing the anmial for food and drinking the blood i'm sure there are things to do that but if your only killing for blood that might cause an issue... I dunno though=/

I hear a lot of people say that they would not harm an animal for blood or at all. well are you not harming animals when you eat meat ?, you may not be killing or harming the animal yourself but whenever you buy meat to eat you are letting someone else harm the animal for you!. I do not need blood to live so their would be no reason for me to take blood from an animal but if i had to, to survive i would without a problem...
