I had experinced a dream that i could feel, taste and touch and see as if it were rea, (a tangable dream) it was very strange to me I had lived an entire day in my dream, after having the dream i got to thinking and twisting to comprehend what happend to me studying different theories that came to mind, i read up on it and found so mch that many questions rise, i then thought of the movie The Matrix, (how interesting i know) but perhaps what we see as real or the norm "reality" so to speak isn't really real at all what if there is something wrong w/ the world perhaps it isn't what we see, what if we were simeply traped looking at what "they" want us to see. Every solid object that is around us is made up of tiny enzimes (i think their called) that are are close together constantly moving i just don't see it to be possible, but thats besides the point my point i'm trying to make is, well is this world bent, is it really what we see? I just want oppinons i want to know what everyone thinks, watching the matrix influesced my thought and made me think deeper, i'm just trying to make sence of it. Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real? what if u were unable to wake from that dream? how would u beable to tell the difference between the dream world and the real world?
What is real? how do u define it?
What's real is my back hurting right now. Eh, ah well.
The Matrix aside...what you experienced was a lucid dream. It happens to most people at some point, but if it happens a lot, it could be a sign of something going awry with your brain chemicals. If you have them more than once a week, I'd ask a doctor about it.
if this will help i can tell u this much,,,as a native woman i truly believe in strong dream spirits,,,,,,,,,,,and yes dear one even isis herself the saintly woman she was believed in dark and sweet spirits,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,all that i know is whenever i feel a rock i feel life in it,,,,,,,,,,,creator gave all things a life form and spirit,,,,,,,if u need more help in this area id be honored if u contact me here i will reply,,,be well
I have dreams like that, even dreams that are so real I wake up with bruses or think there is really food I am burning,or cold water I am touching...it happens often to me.
The dreams that I usually have the situations sometimes take place a few hours later,I dreamed of a motor vehicle accident a few hours later I was involved in one.I try not to dream that much........I wouldnt want to hurt anyone with my dreams
I say those are Your Guardian spirits telling you what is coming ahead.asically opening your inner eye
I agree with Smoking, dreams that intense may well prove to be how your Guardian spirits communicate with you.
I have had dreams like that, my most recent one was not very happy. I don't like dreams like that because the more real my dreams, the more often they seem to come true.
I have dreams like that sometimes but i take it as a messge from my guardian angels warning me or guideing me in a direction.
when u dream like this take it a a msg and prepare urself as best as posable not that u can do much most of the time but it is a great way to perpare
I think I sense a little paranoia here. Don't worry, it was just a movie, it'll be ok, really.
Reality is in fact, subjective, and can be transmuted. The answer to this lies in how far one is willing to go test reality by pushing the limits of their own perception. Only then can it truly be solved.
thank u all very much paranioa yesh i am aware i sufer greatly from this but, it wasn't the movie that trigered it in the first place I just thought about what i saw/felt/tasted and touched how the objects around me felt i lived a day in my dreams and well it was just too real then i woke up/COULD IT HAVE BEEN AN ALTERNATE REALTY?
could it have been my living a life in a different plane like i am switching back and forth?
mmmmmmmmmmmm i think this question is a valid andy thoughts?
think i'm going to do someonre thinking and to the one above about pushing the limit theres a concept i wish to go further with
I WANT TO UNLOCK THE DOORS AND REVEAL IT ALL.
You can define anything as real. I could define getting drunk as real, but it feels so much like a dream, why could I not define it as a dream? I think that if you are contentious and you feel whatever is happening, you can call it real.
Dreams are pathways to the soul..
and twisted portends of the future..
take heed but see deeper. and map each one .it is the journey thru not what you meet that shows the way..
it is how you overcome challenges and the feeings that you must seek to identify.
Rainfire.
BUT ThEN UR MIND MAKES WHAT EVER IT IS REAL CORRECT?
SO DOES REAL TRUELY EXISIT?
MMMMMMMM I'M GOING TO Wiki THE word REAL
wonder what i'll find there BUT SERRIOUSLY
THEN THE SENCES ARE CONNECTED T OTHE TO SO IS IT POSSIBLE TO MANIPULATE AND CHANGE THE LAWS WE KNOW?
what goes up muat come down if we think it wont can we make it BE?
Reality is simply what you percieve to be real. It doesn't matter if it's "true" or not. If a person is living in their daily life in their head, but in our reality they are a crazy person in a mental hospital, it doesn't make their "fantasy" any less "reality" to the individual. What you percieve to be true, is.
I hope that made sense to everyone.
yes yes it did thanks for ur input!!! it means alot constant doors leading to thee Answeres have been opend for me to explore thank all I hope that many more come!!!
Blessed be.
To continue from Arunima's post.....
I would like to state that Lucid dreaming is an uncontrolled state of Astral Projection. I first started to learn astral projection through lucid dreaming when i was about 11 or 12. I had guidance from my spirit guide and also had an astral entity as a mentor from the age of 13 to help me develop my skills and grow as a practitioner of astral projection.
Should you wish to learn more about astral projection and how to control it, i would suggest that you maybe look round for books and/or search the internet for guidance.
I think I may have posted links in other posts to good astral projection sites, but am not sure which posts or which sites I recommended. Therefore I will not post a link here just yet.
Should you like a link to a decent site that has information about astral projection then I am happy for you to message me.

Thank u so very much M i am highly interested in this Hugs dear one!! once again a door door has been opend thank u all!!!
I think i will do that thank u!! hugs
I did start that at one point but i stopped and gave up b/c there was a time where i knew i had dreamt of something but forgt what it was and what i saw so i gave up but i think i wil start again
I don't know what to tell you...
I had a dream a few years ago that I was in a lake trying to save someone and drown myself, when I woke up, I couldn't breath and I leaned over my bed and puked up this white foam from my lungs, I hardly puke, it just kind of poured out at least half a pint.
later that morning I was still having trouble breathing so I went to the doctors and they asked me if I had been sniffing any cooking products in attempt to get high... I wasn't...because apparently the test they did on my breakthing said that there were traces of NaCl aka Salt.
i think that alot of times your dreams can actually mean something. could be telling you of things to come or things that have been. Some of my dreams have actually came true. The guy I am engaged to now for example. I dreamed that me and him were married and happy before i even knew him. Only in my dream Iknew no names or anything like that and forgot about the dream till i actually met him.
I used to have a re-occuring dream, but the content in it varied. What made it re-occuring was a feeling during the dream. It's hard to explain, but I knew that they were all linked. The dreams stopped after my awakening.
That's very interesting. U do make some good points. But we see the world like we want to see it..Even in our dreams. Sometimes our dreams r ourselves making plans or something.
That in itself is a valid point hisdarkestdreams. Something i had overlooked myself and not thought to mention.
Yes in the land of dreams we make whatever we want, and those who can control their dreams can even turn a nightmare into a nice dream. I have done it myself a few times.
It's all about learning to control your mind properly whilst asleep.
Thank u all dearies It means the world to me Ido have sew ideas about what it all could mean but well I'm sure i'll arrive at a logical answer soon, I think i'll see a doctor and see what theysay i'm not to sure tho b/c well I hate doctor and well I think that I will also do a recording and writemy dreams down, many hugs to u all thanx again
I have had many dreams of this nature lucid or not some are things that are to come more or less in my situation but that has not happened for awhile.
I have a "trick" that I've found a lot of success with whenever I have a waking dream or the lucidity of dreaming is too much for me or I suspect something negative could occur...
I have to walk over to the nearest lightswitch and flip it.
If the lights come on I know I'm awake.
If they stay off, I know I'm dreaming and I'd better change the situation for the better or wake myself up.
Changing the situation is easier than waking up for me.
As odd as it sounds, I feel what is real is moerso the mundane (bills, work, etc).
While the spiritual or dreamtime aspect is that which we personally can control (religion, love, OBE).
Remember, there are parts of our mind that we aren't used to using and sometimes they do their thing while we sleep. Could be psychic, or recollections of a past life.
Yes i started to think that too, but no facts and stuff i can only work on theories and oppinons thanx a bunch for urs hugs!
dreams like that are to be looked at and takeing in by your self and looked at ah a sign that it may have happend or it may happend we do not know why we have them or what makes them all we know is the dream is telling us some thing about us or some close ot us and some one we may meet soon or later in life....
heh, i always have dreams that feel real and i wake up and i still feel the same as in my dream...
reality is what you make it, i think.
i think dreams are part of the past life and after life... could that be ?
It's certainly possible.
I also recall dreams in a weird deja /u scenario as well, weeks, e/en years into the future.
ive had dreams where someone i do not know personally knew my name and somehow i knew theirs...carried on a normal conversation...when i woke up i tried to recall as much of the dream as possibel. what she wore how she spoke..stuff like that...it was really a weird experience but i do believe the soul does wander while we sleep...
I need help...
I have an extreme fear of needles, and I keep dreaming about them. I don't know if its because i'm afraid of them, i'm dreaming of them. Or, the needles have some deeper meaning to the dreams. I dream of feeling pain in my feet, then pulling a needle out from one foot. Or feeling the same pain in my ribs, then pulling a needle somewhere from there. Can someone tell me what this all means?
sounds to me it has some deeper meaning maybe something from a past life trying to break threw.
I've had dreams that seemed so real as well but the most interesting thing about them would be that I wouldn't be doing anything interesting at all. Just sitting around chatting, metting people, walking around... so realistic lol
I once had a dream that felt real....i was at a day in preschool and i saw myself playing. This wasn't long a go. o.O
Seeing your own past is extremly creepy...
Reminds me of the story about Chuang Tzu who said he once dreamt that he was a butterfly fluttering about freely in a beautiful garden. In the dream he had no awareness of his individuality as a person, and was only a butterfly. When he woke he found that he was a person once again. He then thought to himself…"Was I a man who dreamt about being a butterfly, or am I now a butterfly who dreams about being a man?"
I have had some very, very, real dreams…however all of them have always had me meeting a snake…sometimes friendly, sometimes trying to bite me…I really like them when I have them…
My latest freaky dream was this dog just chewing on a cat and the cat was all bloody but it followed me onto the subway and everyone was staring.
dreams are just like "normality" it is what you think it is...
dreams are a way of telling you what your deepest thoughts/concerns/feelings are there is no way to surpress them or to release them
and if you have the same one a lot... that is something that might be bothering you the most...

my dreams are bizar but not so "bent" the dreams i have allow to show the future, nothing big and nothing i can remeber till the moment it happens or a few seconds b4 itll happen, but i can never see to get a catch on it but it has gotten worse and worse over the years
my goodness to the kitty dream :( I like kitties and yes Astroprojection was my guess as well!
my Dreams have gotten worse I have been waking up with spell casting objects next to me, I have been waking up in different places and i have been waking up with other ppl I don't know how to control it I have made an app. to see someone who may help me thanx a bunch for everything. Blessed be

Dreams are many things. One of them being an access to other dimensions.
its just a way for u to express whats going thru ur mind at the time or how u feel and other things like that.
I have a very active dream life, so to speak. A few times I have had dreams that were so real that when I woke up I thought that I had simply gone to sleep and was now dreaming. Its most disconcerting when you "dream live" several days in a row and the last part of the dream is going to sleep. When I truly woke up I did not realize that I had been dreaming. I even started to go back to work at a place that I had not worked at in years. It was only when my wife stopped and asked me what I was doing that I realized it had all been a dream. Fortunatly for me dreams like that do not happen very often, cause it freaks me out when I do have them. Whether or not dreams like that are links to other places or simply visions of what could have been I do not know. To be perfectly honest I am not sure that I want to know. My grandmother used to tell me of having dreams that real. One morning she simply didn't wake up. No physical reasons were found on the autopsy. It was simply written down as natural causes but I wonder if maybe, if they are other places, she found one were my grandpa was still alive and simply chose to stay. I honestly don't know but the simply prospect of that sort of thing scares the crap out of me. Especially since I now have a family to consider. If the dream is so real that I don't realize its a dream, what happens if I stay? If there is a God (and I do believe there is) surely he would at least let us have the choice. Seem to be rambling now so will shut up. Anyways thats my experiance with dreams like that.
is it possible that dreams can be a warning for us in the future or something to that matter
I actually enjoy having dreams that feel so real. I'ts like having gone to a porthole of a diffrent dimension and experiencing a different life elsewhere. I believe it's when your spirit actually does do that... travel to different places and times. Too bad I don't have those dreams often, and when I do, I very seldom remember them.
I believe the type of dream you had is a lucid dream were you know that you are dreaming and you are able to control what is happening in your dream, lucid dreaming is normal...
I have many dreams in where I control my own actions .. Have been having these since I was young, but as I got older was when I learned to control them..
Yes, the world is warped, or rather, our perception of it is.. how is the truth knowable? is it knowable at all? I don't think it is.. we all just live in an interpretation of the truth.. if such a thing actually even exists..
D
Once, I had a dream that seemed just far too real. I woke up that morning and went through the day, then that night I went to bed and the dream continued, not from where it left off, but as if those hours i had been awake had passed and now i was coming back. It was odd.
I dream quite frequently. Usually 5 evenings a week. They are very strong, and life like. I have all my senses in the dreams, can feel, smell, hear, taste and see all. I control my actions in my dreams, kind of like going along with the "storyline" of the dream but I decide what I do and it has an effect on the outcome of the dreams.
I've been having a "series" dream as I like to call it. It started last December and ever since that's all I dream about. It keeps continuing from where I last left off in the dream from where I woke up. It's kind of like I have "another life" in the dream world.
While dreaming I have full sense of what's going on in the dream world but also am aware of what's going on in the reality. It's like when I dream I'm only half asleep so am aware of both worlds.
But on those few evenings I don't dream and I'm just in a dead sleep, I'm totally dead to the world.
I've had dreams where only parts of it were seemed way too real, but every time that happens, it's usualy something that sticks with me a long time.
some people say when you think aboout something alot.. that you will end up dreaming about it which is true but i dont understand why you dream of something that isnt on your mind... and hasnt been on your mind
Ive at one point experienced a realilistic dream like you have.
I had just found a Spirit named, Dart, and I didnt know too much about him. And well, I was in English 11 and apparently he was talking to me and asked me if I wanted to see his world, and well apparently I knew the things the teacher was teaching so I eccepted his offer.
The place was blue and had a fountain it looked alot like a shopping mall. Dart told me this is what schools looked like from where he was from and people lived, shopped, and ate at the school. He explained more and I actually walked around the place and I began to shop, then Mr.Verachii woke me up.
Meh, then I later found out Dart had lied to me that his real home was very primitive... Oh well, sorry that this story dosnt help, but meh
how do you controll your dreams... i didnt think that you could..... and is there a way for you not to dream of something you dont want to
The way I would know if I was in a dream, is if it was everything I'd wanted, say a fantasy land.
I've had those dreams before and to this day I'd swear it was real.
I've had lots of dreams that are like that. They usually happen about once every 3 months or so. The last one that I had was about a few weeks ago.
For some reason I was in a hospital, and all these doctors were trying to hold me down so they could stick these needles in me (I'm TERRIFIED of needles), but after they did my vision went out and I was trying to fight to get away. Then after I broke a few body parts I somehow got out of the room (then my point of view switched from first person to third) and I saw myself trying to run down the hallway (I was hitting walls) and then my ex whom I still love kyle grabbed me, I started trying to fight him off since my vision was still out and I had no idea who he was, he told me it was all going to be alright then gave me over to the doctors.
My most recent dreams have either had to somehow connect with needles or else someone I love dying. It used to scare me but now I'm used to seeing brains fly in those types of dreams >.>
It's the way your brain works out its problems, but also the most common way the spirit world talks to us. Write it down, put it under your pillow and sleep on it. It will come clearer to you. They will not give up till you "get it". Been there.
dreaming sometimes can get you into triuble if sleep talking..... how do you controll this if you dont think about something that you dream of and end up talking in your sl;eep
the world is what you make it and your mind is your greatest tool and with that said...anything is possible
I have those kinds of dream often... they are very frightening... there is nothing I can do... but I do believe reality is what we make of it.
welll a friend ones told me that dreams come in stages from 1 till 5 and if u manage to go above 5 then you are in the dream, u will feel like its so dam true and u cant wake up from it its like they go in a coma and the mind cant make the differnse between reality and.....i dont know if thats true, but to me it makes sence....so take it easy thus things happed to some of us even me....good luck and with the best.....
every one has these kind of dreams. some people have them more offten and more vivid. i have had this happy to me many time but mine always in a strange new place each time.
i too agree with smoking, you might want to listen to the dream.
if im correct then thatz a premonition similar to a dream but alot longer and u can feel, taste, and other stuff instead of just hearing and seeing like in a dream. so itz ok to feel like itz strange but itz ok i know how u feel have the same things that i think r dreams but r not.
what is real...i feel sometimes the truth gets lost in all the camotion of imagination and what may be real to one may in fact only be a tale of sorts to another.
Reality... is what you make of it. What is real to you? Is it real if I (accidentally) cut myself and feel pain? Or is it just he mind telling you that it's real, because it's been programmed to do so... Perhaps dreams are the true reality, perhaps we only live in a bubble of lies until we die and realize the truth... I've said it before and I'll say it again, the mind is a scary thing. If you ask me, I'd rather just live my life in ignorance about it and enjoy it for what it is... rather than waste precious time speculating...
yeap.that definitely sounds like lucid dreaming.I can't say that it is difficult to distinguish dreams from reality...no matter what happens we all wake up and realize that it was all just a dream.i used to be confused in my dreams before.after some practise i can now realize that i'm in a dream everytime i'm dreaming.it's fun.controling your own dreams...
Yes i think it`s lucid dreaming of course, but the problem is to controll it, but it`s possible, I don`t know how, but it is. I heard about writing down all ur dreams to analyze them, but i`m too lazy for this *lol*
your dream is a place for your inner self to talk to you about the importat thing that need to be taking care of that you would have not thought of doing.
I have also had really vivid dreams pertaining to actual life situations. Sometimes they do occur in daily living, but not always. Some of these dreams are so real, I wake up with my heart beating really fast, and that sick feeling in my stomach. Dreams are very powerful. Paying attention is important.
The scariest dreams I had were always the ones I felt. Never anything pleasant which would have been wonderful.
well real can not be defined because who is to say what is real and what isn't
dreams can be powerfull things and well there are manny things that factor in to a dreama and a lot of the time you can taste smell and feel what is there. since it is a dream the mind some times can react as if it is real to some extent specailly if it deals with things that re real and what not
I love lucid dreams! The last one I had was so sweet, I got to meet Nivek Ogre from Skinny Puppy and he was such a sweety. ^_^ I could feel him touching my arm too, it was nice to dream that.
Yes, I can hear Stevie Nicks singing now :) sighs....... what....... oh......
I have not read all the posts but here's what I think
if you had a physic class then you know, that we see the things the way light hits some corner, (I'm not english so I hope you understand what I mean)
and I think that every persons takes "reallity" differently
and what I think is that some dreams, are just fiction made by our mind,
in some we can see future, or we get dreams as warnings (like i got three dreams before an accident. i dreamt that i was walking by a see and at the end of the dream there came a lightning who hitted the sea, in the third one i fell in to the see and the next day I got into a accident where my colarbone was broken and my whole back was in a gips)
and in other dreams we leave our body and our soul travels somewhere (like i had some dreams where I dreamt I was in places I've never been before in my life but it was so detailed that I don't believe everything my mind could be blamed for)
everybody is differant from another there kow one the same not really
I believe that dreams are a time for the human body to restart, so to speak. I have experienced things that seemed unreal or seemed real but they were opposite each other. I woke up in one of my dreams, but I Wasn't really awake, I just woke up in my dream. That has happened to me a dozen times, so i do believe that I can't really tell the difference between my dreams and reality, cause my dreams are so vivid, it looks so real.
i have what u call mood dreams, sex dreams and violent dreams, dreams of the past and i believe i had dreams of the future... reason why i say future cause a day may come and i remember hey i did that once ...
unless they are very intense dreams i cant remember them....as soon as I wake up its gone...
yeah I've had dreams like that before that felt so real it almost seemed like it could be the real thing, it's really crazy lol. I don't know why
when we dream things and it happens after you dream it.... does that mean anything.... how doi we know if when we dream we never dream of past life
