I believe a higher power that created and is creating exists. I choose to call this power God / Jesus / The Holy Spirit (i.e. the Triune God). Others have different names for the same power.

There is no irrefutable proof of the existance of this power.

Hmm that is a good question but my personal belief there is a higher power but not a certain person that created the world..and everything in it. I guess its pretty much like some others said its based on your own personal beliefs.

I presonally believe but I think that each of us must find out for ourselves what we believe to be true.

I can tell you this though, faith is the key to unlock the door to anything. We are each given a measure to determine for ourselves the right and wrongs of things.

The best experience is life itself. What does nature tell us? What does our inner voice say? What can we observe about our fellows? What are our goals? DO we feel pressured by anything or anyone to believe? Any number of things can influence our answer, but we must make a conscience choice to determine that for ourselves...no one else can do it for us.

I would like to ask the OP what your concept of God is and then I would ask you if that is the God you are asking about. I am going to assume you mean the God in the Bible. The Christian God I believe was a concept created by man to use as a tool in which to govern Society virtues, and laws by. And I would answer that he does exist to those that have the belief that he does. Personally I do not believe in the Christian God.

This is a very loaded question you've asked.... see being raised church of christ I was taught to believe in the supreme being however, since I've gotten older I've been looking for the missing pieces... I found what I was looking for in Wiccan.... so yes I do believe there is something that helped but at the same time I don't know what to call it...

The defenition of god is so various and divers it is logicly impossible to define it and therefore realisticly talk in a way we are 100% sure of our words. As to beleive well, to some god is themselves, if they dont beleive they exist, I might sugest a nice white jacket with nice ppl wearing nice white blouse..lol.
As for other "form" of god one can beleive, some consider sex their god so to them it exist, some consider aliens their god, so it exist, ..I think you get the idea...as for me yes I do beleive God exist, do I do what God ask fo me, sadly no, but I know its my own choice. The most likely thing is that God is dead, I'll explain:
The only thing god couldn't know is what would happen if god ceased to exist,
Therefore god performed an experiment to see the hypothesis tested,
God Destroyed its energy form, scientists would call it the "big bang",
All the matter in the Universe resulted, so we're are god debris/dust as opposed to stardust,
The Universe is still expanding but it is believed that it will stop, and then begin collapsing inward,
We can see this in everyday lives, the natural gravity, magnetism, and evolution are all signs that god's particles, as it were, want to reform god,
Our collective consciousness is the result of enough concentration of god particles to achieve sentience.

I do believe in a "God" but i prefer to call him the father, and the "Goddess" our mother. I believe that all the institutions we follow and believe in here came from them, like Marriage and family and children ect. So since we have these things here it had to exist elsewhere first. Hense the Father and Mother. But my beliefs are my own and very detailed. So i will just leave at that.

It sounds a lot like most people have put forward that oppose the idea of a divinity responsible for creation etc.

Additionally, if you read any of the Satanic Bible you find what others have said they believe. God-lol-lol-lol-Lets see. Does a God Exist? Yes. Is it what we want it to be? LOL No. LOL All have ther own persoanl view as to such higher powers. I will not bore you with mine. I personally think IT exists. Yes IT. Meaning it is neither male or female. IT to me is also everything in existance. All minds, all souls, all forms of life and bodies. For those of you debating on if "god" is in fact real, I think the question could be answered personally through experience. If one could astral travel, they say...anything can happen if you so desire it within that plane...then I think its possible to meet god in a certain form. I think the idea of how we see god is perseived by how we think that it looks. Which means it could be a male, female, even a floating cloud of dust with a few lights and it speak telepathicly to you.


You all sit around and debate about such things and demanding proof that its real. I say the best proof is first hand experience and that, you can't get in the physical plane.

Ok...no "stephen king" figure wrote the bible...the bible we have today was actually pieced together by the catholic church quite a long time ago and had pieced it together from several different documents found at different time periods found at different locations.

Many of the stories have been scientifically and historically proven to have actually happened. Many events happened centuries apart so there is no way that just one person wrote the whole bible in one time period.

I personally believe religion itself was created because in the end there is never way for humanity as whole to disregard the fact that there was a higher power...each belief was created at a period in time before documents existed and caters to what the individuals at that time believed.

If you study each respective religion and belief in the world they all connect in some way...either in symbols or in pieces of the beliefs themselves.

I personnally am an odinist...however my dad is a pentecostal pastor and growing up i have had "exposure" to the studdies of different faiths as well as historical studies of the bible.
