I am aware of this. people should know not to take threads on this site too seriously. And if they do that's they're bad.
I think the idea of a vampire bible is an interesting one. Wouldn't that be an awesome find? It could be a possibility yes, I would imagine that they would want to keep it very secret though. I do not however feel that a vampire community "town" is a possibility in this day and age, too hard to conceal even with humans help.
A new friend sent this to me. Thank you Ragman! Copy ans paste this link guys.
http://www.vampiretemple.com/bible.html
Well when it comes to vampire films, this film IS definitely bottom of the barrel. Well, read my last post people. Obviously a vampire bible DOES exist. Look at the link above!
i dont know what movie you are speaking of because ive seen salems lot and read the book and this story sounds nothing like either of them
the movie salems lot was no good but most of kings movies loose somthing in the translation also the movie you are speaking of sounds pretty stupid
it must have been one of those one that they just used the name of kings book because i dont see him writing or endorcing anything like that I dissagree i think that concept sounds retarded Why would a town full of vamps want a human to write thier bible its not realisitic in the least
OK. After the novel was published a TV movie based on the Stephen King novel was published. In 1987 a sequel to the TV film was made for theater's titled "A Return To Salem's lot." Read the above and all the post please. Above is a link a friend gave me to a vampire bible. And at the bottom of the subject area is an IMDB link to info on this film. This is NOT based on the Stephen King novel. It is a sequel to the first TV film.
intresting thought on the vampire bible and the movie was well it scared me i was little then lol
I took a look at the link for the bible and there is no preview to the bible at all. Sounds like a money making deal to me
That is exactly the way I see it xxBlackHawkxx!
The movie, was more humorous than anything. I'd rate it 2 fangs just for the slight amusement it gave.
As for the Vampire Bible link that was posted I saw it last night, but not seeing much decided to do a little more research. I've read that the "Bible" is only some 18 - 20 pages (and a mere $20 or $35) and found an excerpt from it:
"The reality of Vampires is insulated from popular belief by the credulity of the masses. We have carefully created a firm disbelief in Our reality and have no concern that those few who recognize Us for what We are shall sway the massive ignorance of humanity as a whole.

This publication is not what I had in mind as a true Vampire Bible; which, to me, would be a written of proverbs, books, secrets and stories that would hint at the creation of the first vampires, their descendants and teachings handed down for centuries. (somwhat along the lines of the "Book of Nod").
Both the Movie and this "Vampire Bible" are a disappointment.
I see giving ones opinion gets deleted again.
There are no real villages of vampires...it is a movie.I ...in MY opinion think the idea isn't feasible.Everyone is entitled to their own opinions...but think about it...in this day and age...it couldn't happen.
Well, I wouldn't say "couldn't" happen. I believe that anything is possible. All they would have to do is put wads of cash in the right hands and they would be protected. And Meeps thank you. I love ya!
The idea in the movie was that the vampires kept saying they could coexhist peacefully with the very same people who were their food. By the end of the movie, it all unravels and falls apart.
I rather doubt an entire town could exhist like the one in the movie. Even the movie version of the town self destructs and crumbles apart.

Dr. Jan Perkowski's seminal book "Vampires of the Slavs" (now out of print and very expensive should a copy be found) recounts that centuries ago in Eastern Europe, entire villages were reported of those known as "vampires" and other towns populated by the purported children of vampires (dhampirs) and later generations of their descendants. Dr. Perkowski even names two or three of those villages and I have often wondered if they might still exist today.
Again, vampires were originally known primarily for their "insatiable sexual drives" centuries before the lies began to circulate of them being "undead" "bloodsuckers", etc. Thus, as they were actually extremely sexual beings rather than the asexual animated corpses of later Gothic fiction, you bet they had families and villages and entire communities of this unique race of beings, descendants all of the "Fallen Angels," who were likewise accused, vilified, and slaughtered, just as their ancestors were, for possessing the same "Dark Gift" of unlimited orgasmic capacity.
So... yes... the premise upon which this sequel was based is founded in historical fact.
haha! Thank you for the last post! I told you all vampires could have sex =) lol
Whle I'd like to say that I doubt it, with what technology we have today and whatnot, who's to say a town of vampires doesn't exist, and they have ways around discovery that we haven't been able to yet overcome? While it sounds highly unlikely, I wouldn't completely rule out the possiblity. Then again, you've got to believe in vampires for this to work, and if they're anything like fairies then they must be dropping like flies.
I do believe in vampires! I do! I do!
Okay, I'm game...
So, there is an entire culture in existence, then whose to say they don't have a belief in a higher power and if so, would you say that their religion is older than the religion of any man? Since many religions have a history of altering history to reflect a more viable perspective for their belief system, could it be that the Church of Man discovered Vampires and feared the knowledge of their existence spreading, so all their history, religion, was erased from the history records. Since this level of anonymity afforded the Vampire more freedom of movement and thereby survive, they had no problem becoming a myth...
Maybe there is a Vampire version of Men In Black?
Finally... someone has taken the facts and come to the reasonable conclusion! My congratulations to CryingDuchess!
Of course there is a vampire equivalent of "men in black" who continue to do all they can to keep hidden the truth (i.e., a secret society of asexual men who has so hated and feared the true "vampires" of history, the actual descendants of the "Fallen Angels" [Anunnaki], and their true "Dark Gift," that they have throughout history vilfied and overseen their persecution, torture, and slaughter). They are known as the "Sons of Jared" (do a google search on them to learn more) and have vowed to "...wage an implacable war..." against all the descendants of those vilified falsely as "fallen angels."
As for a religion of vampires... of course there was a religion, or rather a philosophy, based upon the truths brought to this Earth by their "Fallen Angel" fathers that were embraced by some of this planet's most prolific and glorious civilizations (e.g., the Sumerians and Egyptians) while rejected and destroyed by those societies who, perhaps as a result thereof, have forever remained among the least-educated and most bloodthirsty societies in history (namely, those in which the Judeo-Christian-Islamic religions predominate). How truly apropos, no?
well cryingmist said it well.
If there were real vampires I feel that they could exist in this day and time as well... I mean who is to say that there is a town that is mainly open/awake during the night hours and only a handful are awake and doing daylight things that need to be done for the Vampires.
I feel until you have actually walked every inch of this planet and every part of it how or who are we to out rule anything that *could* be there ....
Upir.. I like the last paragragh of your last post, it does sound correct. I feel that indeed if there were true vampires around in our civilization that there would be many who would do all they could to keep it secret and private from the world, I mean to think if we knew that they really existed..
OMG! the chaos there would be and the religious bigots out there that would create such chaos and bring war to our very existance...
So if there is indeed a circle of *Men in Black* for the vampires I am on their side lOL just as I am our govenment that hides so much truth from the public about things they could not comprehend on a whole. Just my opinion..
The above post are indeed true. But the thing is even if the general public did find out that such a society in fact did exist. Would they believe it? Most wouldn't. Especially since most people are very skeptical of such things anyways. Would anyone believe it? No, I don't think they would. I know I would second guess it.
Saw the movie and it took a dive The vampire bible is a conceiept of what someone believes as are all bibles of many religions. As far as a town of vampires gose maybe but they are not going to go public with it..
I look at it this way if a church for vampires exisit why not a Vampire bible
There is a Vampire Bible. They are made by The temple of Vampires.
OK people. Please explain more. Vampire church? Vampire temple? Details PLEASE!!!
loved the movie, yet I feel the way that vampires by nature are hidden secrets. They would not form a town and live there only to be found out at some time to be exterminated. One of hollywoods great stories again. Vampires by nature are loniers usually and avoid all contact if possible. so this would not fly. And yes there is a elete church which has made their own bible which i do have a copy of. was hard to get. and there principles and order are hard to get a hold of too. so i think no such towwn would exist.
cadrewolf:
I know that you are probably not able to disclose the actual contents of the Bible in your possession. But is the Bible that you have a written book based on "real" people/vampires, events, histories, secrets, etc., that have been handed down for centuries, or is it more of a Book ("Bible" like the one for Temple of the Vampire) which seems to me to be more like Philosophies, Teachings and Rules of that particular Sect?
There are different rules and standards existing for the Vampyre lifestyle. You should look up the Vampyre Codex, which in a sence could be the bible, and The Black Veil, which would be like the 10 commandments except with 13.
It is from the temple of the vampires, I heard there is one handed down but i have yet to find a copy or printing of it. sorry if this does not help you
I guess it depends upon if you mean sanguine vamps or pyschich. Obviously - it is rather easy for us psy-vamps to live among "normal" humans and as far as I know there is no "bible" for that.
I guess a group of vampires could live together in a village or town but I don't see them trusting a mortal to write down their secrets.
Also, I do not look at vampirism as a religion - perhaps I am wrong in that assumption. I also wish the link had at least provided a bit more information or even a preview of this bible.
There are vampire churches as well as the V bible.. I mean there are different religions so why not a Vampire church with its own bible..
If something like a church exist. It most certainly would have to be kept on the down low. or else Christians would batter down the door with torches and holy water, lol.
many are hidden yet they know there there, but feal vampires in my term would be territoral for this is thir feeding ground. maybe they would get together for some fun yet would not be seen by anyone due to a threat on them.
It exists;
http://unusualchurches.blogspot.com/2005/01/vampire-church.html
yes if you want to find a vampire church you probably wouldnt have a hard time in bigger cities finding one if you know like minded people.
Well one of the groups is not a church but uses the title for tax purposes. Temple of the Vampire has a Bible which only means book but it has their beliefs in it. It is the only group I know of that has named it the Vampire Bible. It is a group that keeps to themselves and does not believe in sanguine feeding. They believe those that drink blood are unevolved and will not allow you into the membership if they know you do that. They have gods within their belief system and believe the living vampire to be very predatory and man to be their food. I believe they feed on the astral if I remember right. I guess in ways this would be similar to the story except they wanted to co-exist if they could. I suppose if a group started a town this could be done fictionally or non fictionally. All the jobs would have to be given to those who moved there and created it and descendants because it is those who move into an area usually in the books that muck everything up. The outsiders are scared and can't accept the vampires once they find out. They consider them to be monsters. In my opinion to actually coexist in a story they would have to write it in such a way as they becamse a natural, accepted part of society. BUT...to make the book interesting you would need those rebels with a cause that look at humans as cattle.
It seemed like in the movie version that newly turned vampires had trouble controlling their need for blood and were a problem for the town. I liked the story because I thought it was very creative. Fictionally anything is possible.
I don't think a community could exist without problems arising so most likely there is not one in existence although it would be nice to know for sure.
I have heard of a place that if you join their group you can buy what they call the vampire bible but who wrote it is anyone's guess.
I don't think there was one written centuries ago but if there was i would not mind seeing a copy of it as that would be an incredible read.
Azure is right, and if you go to the Vampire Bible thread you will see that there is a copy of it in the starters journal....
i read it last night and it sounds like a load of crap to me, but that is just my opinion!
if there are any other "vampire bibles" out there that anyone knows about i would love to read them as well...
as for the town of vampires... i don't think that could happen... humans are too nosey & talk too much if one did exsist we would most likely hear something about it... and i don't think humans would let a town (that seemed dead in the day) go uninvestigated, or "uninhabited"...
You never know. People believe and write some of the craziest stuff! And some people are so naive, lol. I think it's more than possible. I think there is such a bible.
Return to Salems Lot was a HORRIBLE movie, but that's just my opinion. Of course, the original Salems Lot movie with David Soul and James Mason wasn't a prize either. As for a vampire bible or an entire town of vampires, wouldn't someone notice that the town only has activity at night? Unless of course these vampires could exist in sunlight, which some legends and even Bram Stoker support.
I just want to say, the Vampire Bible site is there to make money. Salem's Lot had some original ideas. Fictionally, it is conceivable. The movie was definitely a "B" movie, but it had some interesting concepts. I don't think it's really a healthy idea to take it seriously.
I don't think anyone was, I know I wasn't lol. Neither of the films were "B" movies. They were made for TV films. They never went to theaters. The sequel "A return... was in theaters for a week and then it was pulled because of poor rates. Then broadcast on television a few days later. They were released directly to cable. Like Lifetime movies.
There's a vampire book called The Black Veil. It's a "...voluntary code of ethics for Vampire groups and individuals..." However, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a Bible.
http://www.apocalypse.org/pub/u/hilda/blackveil.html
Well i think that if there was such a book it wouldnt be out there for all to see
I agree with Dark and Lady dark.. They tell it like i see it so there is no reason for me to repeat it..
It would be like someone taking a family grimoire and making it public, not that some idiotic people havent done that but its sacred
Do you believe that such a book already exist?
No, I don't believe a book like so already exists.
And if so who wrote it and when was it written?
See above.
Do you believe that it is possible for an entire town of vampires to exist?
Not at all. Vampires are supposed to be solitary creatures.
If so what type of vampires?
See above.
In your opinion how would they live and what is there lifestyle?
See above.
If you don't believe this is possible, then give me your idea of a vampire society from a fictional standpoint.
Non-existant. Vampires are solitary creatures. Large groups would be impossible.
if they did exist why would that be impossible? Birds of a feather flock together ya know.
well i dont think that a large group of vampire could hide amoung humans but if the humans were open to the vampires and knew of their exsistance it could work... maybe and if a book like this exsists-- possibly but that would of course be if vampires exsist and i dont think human would have any acess to it-- who wrote it umm a vampire who found the need to
well i dont think that a large group of vampire could hide amoung humans but if the humans were open to the vampires and knew of their exsistance it could work... maybe
If there is a regular bible, a witches bible, a book of the living, and the (notorious) Necronomicon, then why cant there be a vampire bible??
two seperate points i think vampire bible, text and hollywoods make of an illsuve bible, yet to be seen or copied in any form, true vampire creating a town or church, possible to gain a control or order in the hidden society. yet i would say like most hunters they still are territoral by nature. by groups or self.
I think really anything is possible. I really just think it's kinda foolish of people to believe that humans are the only ones that exist. People always like there's no such thing as aliens, vampires, monsters, and ghost. But they never have an answer to why things are happening. I just think that may be there is something more out there that we are missing. So really I would not be surprised it such a town or book was real.
Well actually I researched it and i found a few historical books that could possibly be classified as "vampire bibles." the way i see it is...if vampires exist, then who is to say that a community of civilized vampired couldn't exist?
Thank you all for your thought and post I appreciate it =)
Acouple of text you found that may bibles, would like to see the sources, I am eager to read them if I haven't already did. Vampires in hollywood do run in clans, yet I think it may hurt them for the lack of discretion in feeding. possible ways to be found out, this is the only set back for me that complicates the whole town thing.
Well in the movie what they did is they drank blood from farm cows. And the mayors wife had a drinking problem, lol. Yup! There is one already posted up there. It looks somewhat fony to me though. I will post as soon as I can find then again =)
OK. These are from the King James (Christian) bible....
Mhm yup! And people argue with me when I say the bible talks about vampire "like" creatures....
Well of course you wouldn't know. A town of vampire would most definitely be kept completely secret. Christians would burn em' down! lol
I dont see why there wouldnt be a book, there is a book for every culture, christian, wiccian, witches etc etc. If there is one for all these then why not vampires.
I think it is plauseable that there could be a whole town of vampires as whisper stated it wouldnt be out there for everybody to know about it would deffently be kept on the quiet.
Oh yeah! Definitely be kept on the DL lol. if not they'd all be torched. Exactly! If vampirism is indeed a lifestyle, then yeah...there has to be a book. Reason being there is a book for everything else!
But why do you think that? Please explain why or why nor. thanks
like any belief, there are books on it too read. like any thing else. even here on the world wide web.... there is so much to find info on every thing you could dream about. the point is, what makes sence to you. is there a vampire bible? why not. i am sure there is some kind of book like that some where. if you find it thou, i want a copy :D ty.
robin
Well I have found vampire "ish" books and such. And excerpts from some religious books that could be considered by some. but any vampire bibles i have found are rather corny looking...
yeah, perhaps. but we don't get books to look at the covers now do we?
:) ok bad joke lol
but some of the good books are rare and hard to find.
I do believe it is possible for there to be a town of vampires somewhere and i believe they would be hidden from others for fear of persecution by others. As for the possibility of a vampire bible i do believe in that too simply because this town would need a set of guidelines to live by.
Well anything is possible from a 'fictional standpoint' in reality why couldn't a town exist with a vampire population, how many towns in out of the way places don't welcome strangers and even run them out of town so no one stops over.
Money can buy anything, so to run a town like this would be rather simple and easy to do. Just because they are vampires doesn't mean that they are evil and cruel so they could easily win the love and affection of humans if they wished to. So they could easily be protected by humans that care about them.
And you wouldn't know, you could drive right through some quiet sleepy little town in the middle of nowhere and have no clue!
the first of the 2 movies was better with its darker edge the second reminded me of another farce "Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat"
This thread isn't really about the movies themselves but more about the subject matter of the films. ;)
there's a book for just about everything, all religions have a book to follow because thats all they have theres nothing else to tell them about it.
Im sure that there's a vampire bible somewhere
As far as that link it's a disappointment to me!
To me it looks like a Fricken RIP OFF!! And whats stupid is people buy in to this crap and purchase the item! That's like the Christian music on the tv that they sell, they take the money out your account and then keep taking it out every month... I know because my friends mom tried it. Their just greedy people
Yeah i agree. That one is most likely a phony. But I'll keep looking. I will check my library and see what i can come up with. We have one of the largest in southern Michigan so i might be able to find something.
If you do please post the name of the book and the artist I'm interested and i know other people are to ^_^
Oh I will I promise. Did you read those exerpts I posted up there? Those are from the King James bible!!!
i just read them! Thats crazy that it talks about vampire like beings in the BIBLE! Thats the last thing i expected to see!
Although i have never seen a real vampire I still believe that they exist or have at one time!
Thank you I look forward to reading more about it!
Doesnt say vampire....but whether vampires exist or not, I think it is possible that exerpts I posted above were possible vampires of some kind. You never know.
I actually have yet to read/see Salem's Lot, although it is at the top of my "must read/see" list!
I believe that vampire societies could exist, and more than likely it would be a sanguinarian society. If a psi-vamp society existed, not much would get done because they'd be too busy draining each other's energy. The sanguinarians could feed off each other(voluntarily/donars) or go along with the agreement made in Salem's Lot - feed from cattle, only.
♦ Do you believe that such a book already exist?
No, I don't. I'm sure there are so called 'books' pertaining to it, but not a real vampire bible in itself.
♦ And if so who wrote it and when was it written?
See above as to disbelief.
♦ Or you believe that it is possible for an entire town of vampires to exist?
Vampires are supposed to be solitary creatures, so no.
♦ If so what type of vampires?
See above.
♦ In your opinion how would they live and what is there lifestyle?
See two above.
♦ If you don't believe this is possible, then give me your idea of a vampire society from a fictional standpoint.
Nomadish. No more than 4 to a group.
Huh what a lovely post! you don't need to be so serious though, lol. But the fact of the matter is....to each his own kind. If vampires do in fact exist, then there is a coven/town or whatever, existing out there somewhere. Birds of a feather ya know.
It would really depend on the temperment of said vampires.
A bunch of angry ones would be likely to fall very fast.
That is very true. Good point and point taken. But if they were a fairl calm bunch and very secretive, intillegent vampires I think they could last. Especially if they were surviving on blood from cattle.
Indeed.
If they lived like that [blood of cattle] they'd be able to live for some time. What time that is may vary depending on if they didn't overfeed from one particular area.
Well in the film they didnt drink enough to kill the cows. And the cows were from there own farms so with that being said, I think that would be possible. The only way such a town would end is if their secret became public then they would be screwed...ya know?
Getting found out is kinda where I was going with the feeding too much from one area.
However, that being said of owning their own farms with livestalk would change things. If that were to happen they'd only need worry about someone stumbling across their place.
Whom would end up being brunch anyways lol. I dunno. If they existed I think they would be grouped together in some way. Unlike everyone else. To each his own kind. Birds stick with birds, dogs with dogs, people with people (and yes I know there are some nasty people out there that date outside of their species. Not talking about them lol) and vampires with vampires. That is my oppinion. After all, a lot of people on here claim to be vamps. With that being said aren't they grouped together on this one site? Same in life.
Fair point.
So in reality it would be a giant group of cliques?
Not cliques most of arent in school anymore. But species. Like takes to like. If a vampire is in trouble would another vampire just walk away? no hed snap the guys neck. That is my oppinion. If they exist they arent all by themselves. Even in Ann Rice novels vampires had secret clubs and stuff.
Cliques mainly refers to like, the goth kids, the jocks, the preps, the hot big boob chicks, the anorexics, the trashy skanky poor people (my clique) and the unloved misfits. (also my clique). But what i am refering to is species. I don't consider a vampire by definition to be human in any way. they are the reanimated dead! Some are said to be psychic ETC. With all these reasons and the reasons I have posted above, i say that if they exist, they exist in groups. No 2 animals of any species are ever alike. And for a person yo say that all vampires are alone and anti'social is like me speaking for you and saying that you like mushrooms because i like mushrooms lol.
Well thank you all for the post! I have earned quite a bit from this thread and everyone's oppinions. This thread has served it's purpose. Thanks for the post everyone!
