Do you ever look at another person and wonder if you really know who and what they are?
Do you ever look at people that you pass buy on the street and wonder if they are really what they appear to be: a balding, middle class business guy or an over-weight housewife and take them at face value? Or do you wonder who they really might be?
How about your uncle Ned? Or good ol' mum and dad? Your sister looks gothic, but is she really? And your little brother looks like a science geek, but are you really that comfortable with the knowledge that you have?
Do you ever just get a feeling looking or sensing someone when you are close to their personal space that all is not as it seems with that person?
Well...do you?
Well, before we even awakened, I felt a kinship with four of my newest friends on campus, and coincidentally, it turned out that we were all vampires. Strange how we are drawn to one another.
Yes I wonder that a lot.
I also feel a certain negative or positive feeling when seeing certain people.
And what happens?
I get friends or enemies with them.
funny! this reminds me of a very very odd share of incidents that occured to me.
Too many to share but a few stand out and 2 or so are worth mentioning.
One that just occured was at the mall.
I was lookin' all "me" lol, and then a woman that really stood out was on a mall bench...She was very pretty in fact.
Black as midnight, creamy skin-flawless, chiseled features..statuesque, and she looked at me as if she had seen a ghost.
she kept looking too, even as I passed her by,
A woman told me long ago that some can see the guardians that walk with me.
And some can tell their own kinds strength..
Another a while ago ...another person actually just walked up behind me and asked me. He was a suit too...very middle america looking , very fatherly...n just asked out of the blue...
"do you feed on everything"
blew me away.
In a town known for witches and readers..my friends laughed because as I stepped up to the first store a man couldn't stop staring and almost fell over.
lol.
instead of us staring we were getting stares.
and they almost went and closed doors...lol.
anyway.
we are aware and wide awake arent we...
I can tell when someone is touched and awake but I can also tell how strong too.
blah...bak to wrk.
Actually I just had that experiance just before I logged in. I got cable internet today so the cable guy >:) came by to install everything. At once I just got this idea that there's more. That this would be some one interesting to talk to. So we chit chat while he works. He had a very nice energy. The kind that makes you hungry heh heh
Cool thread...
I saw a TV programme a few weeks ago that made me consider this.
For the life of me, I can't remember what it was called, but it was a documentary on UK TV, probably by the BBC...
It was about this father and daughter with a rare genetic condition.
For some reason, linked to their sense of time perception, they are on a different body clock from the rest of society.
They wake up at night and fall asleep during the day. And their body, their natural tendancy, makes them act this way.
Then they did an interview with them. If ever I've seen someone with a vampyric visage in 'real' life, it was the daughter.
Everything about her said to me, 'vampyre'. But she didn't seem to have any of the stereotypical 'goth' look or attitude. She seemed fairly averagely dressed, with average home, eating habits, etc. But, her, her actual self, she called out in every sense that she was somehow more than she appeared, but maybe was as yet unaware of it.
And I started to wonder that perhaps we define other peoples heritage by what we concieve of mythical beings to be.
What I mean is, some people are Elfin-like and we treat them and expect a personality based on how we have learned that Elves act.
This may sound really silly, but every culture has a varied mix of the 'Elder' races legend. Almost every child in the world believes in faries in one form or another, at some stage of life.
So, we can look at how our preconceptions of people are based upon the perceived genetic line of that person. We could then expect larger people to be moreoften associated with giants, or ogres and perhaps display an initial reaction based out of fear and respect, without even knowing them yet as a person.
In this way, I may have assumed her to be vampyre, because she fit a set of meanings in my memory.
I used to take people at face value, even when my instincts told me otherwise. I've learned to trust my own instincts. Now, I hardly trust anybody, I watched everyone who comes close to my children, and don't leave them alone with people I don't know. New babysitters have to go through an intensive interview, come to the house so I can see how they'll interact, and I get a criminal background check. My husband calls in over protective, I call it ensuring that I don't have to take someone outside and skin them alive. (No, I currently do not have a sitter)
I always wonder what someone like when not in the public eye.
I so know what you guys are meaning! It is very strange when you can just *tell* that you are a kindred spirit or there is an etheral spark that jumps. But what about the people who try so hard to hide it? Imagine having a tendancy for bloodlust and hating it? Imagine trying so very hard to get rid of it and not embracing it and not being very good at stowing your real self away? Some of us are so very sensitive to sniffing out our kindred, and a real gift this is! Puts a whole new spin on the handle "Blood Hound!" :)
I do get that feeling around certain people...I tend to stay away from most people though cuz where I live I am not so redily accepted by the people here...Stabb....that is interesting about the elder races cuz I kinda think that there were things, races, magic, and places that through the centuries have either been forgotten due to some reason...I think that we lost something we once had due to evolving technology..
I do believe that ppl arent all quite as they seem.I have as I posted on another thread earlier what we call gifts.Walking by ppl I can sense if they have gifts or not how strong they are if they have a guardian angel as we call it watching over em.If they are a vampire wether it is blood or psyhic vampire which I am myself. There are alot of other races out there that just have been forgotten about in this modern age of technology but let me tell you this one day they will let their trueselves be know to us one day.
The firts thing we see is the other person's apearence. And is we are honest we would admit we do judge on first opinions. But the other can be so different inside than outside
i agree with AngelEnrique, people are never the opposite to how they look, unless they are dressing a certain way to get away from a stereotype.
I pick up thoughts and emotions so easily that I avoid contact and have learned to literally shut myself "off" from people. I know they are never what they appear to be.
I would like to know though if there are any classic vampires that lurk here....
it is quite strange how i draw people to me who are so like spirited. I started my adventure at one college and found that a group as unique as i are all vampires that have found me.
I have some empathic ability and it means I can get a pretty good sense of people, which also means I start treating them differently, which can be problematic.
Yes, I do wonder and because I wonder, I try not judge without getting to know a person. I try not to judge in general. Why be a hypocrit? Even those who rub me the wrong way on the first meeting. Who knows, they may have had a bad day and were throwing off negative energy that you picked up.
Yes I agree with Deathnitgrl...I can feel positive and sometimes negative in people...what really freaks me out is when the negative come from a family or friend member!
ur tellin me just today i felt bad feelins in a church
I get it all the time and I have to do what the woman aboce does shut down so I can go about my daily life with about being mentaly attacked everytime I go outside.
Awesome thread..I have to agree with alot of you. Appearence is what we are all prone to look at..Most of us however do feel or sense the person for who/what they are. I have gotten many vibes off ppl and I just steer clear of them if their aura is off.
I am not a social being, and I don't trust ppl, and those that I have to be around well they keep themselves closed from me anyway..Not that I care..but to some degree we all are individuals that need that human contact.
never juge a book by its cover, first rule in humain contact. You might get suprise, the one you fear or just avoid the most might turn out to become your greatest friend or enemy.
And the stranger you just cross as a story to tell, if you take the time and I mean really seriously the time to look and think, what you might learn might just touch you in ways you have no idea.
A person is much more then clothes, or physical caracteristic, it is about guts and mind, innner personnality, and mainly when you enter their space or they enter yours the first feeling you have may not be the right one, you have to take the time to look deeper in you before making jugement of move away, it might be the best meeting you have in your life, never knows.
Great thread you started, my dear!
and as was just stated, never judge a book by its cover...some are as they appear, however, so many are not.... like most of us. I've also had been drawn to someone and they me and find out we are kindred spirits in not just what we might be as vampyres but in other aspects...and I so like it when it happens - we are just drawn to each other and nice to find out why.
I think that everybody can suprise everyone in some way.
You cannot be an ultimate stereotype, unless you try, and trying makes you something else.
I think you have to be quite ignorant to not look past what you see, even if the chance to actually interact past the act of walking past someone isn't given to you.
i get feelings of dejavu when im around most strangers.someimtes it almost feels as if it is somekind of sixth senses, this to me is some sort of character reading..but very enteresting thread.i will have to think more on this one,,everywhere.
I look at ppl all the time, not being a ppl person socially. I do watch them, see how they all interact. But I guess thats not what this thread is about..But Vampires are among us, some just like to keep hidden..
idk what its is..........but i to feel a since of partnership when i come around someone new that i have never talked to before......its like there a long lost relative that aboandoned the family that i have never known but i would like to learn more about them.............its just werid the way things happen
I have always wondered that same thing. All I know is that I am drawn to cewrtain people. Like my husband, well I was drawn to him before we even talked. And he is a vampire. So you never really know.
I always size people up. Most of us do.
I have an internal bullshit detector which for the most part is highy accurate
i never trust what people try to image me. i always try to get my own way about all the dark secrets / cheats they got.
EVEN in YOU
I never judge people by how they look - how many times have you talked to someone online for ages and then seen a pic of them and thought - woooaaahhh I didn't think you looked like that!!
Or talked to someone for ages online and then met them in person and realised you only knew a small part of whao they were????
I am pretty good at reading folks, most of the time they are just ordinary sheeple. Once in a while you catch a spark that they are a bit more awakened.
Never met a real classical vampire though.
i can usually sense, either conciously on unconciously, what a person is. we're drawn together like flies to honey. for instance,my first two boyfriends when i moved to illinois turned out to be unawakened vampires. the second guy introduced me to his friends, who turned out to be all vampires, including his best friend, who i'm now with. all of my close friends, even those who are not vampires, hang out at this park in our town. rarely does a day go by witout one of my friends asking my opinion about a newbie vampire that was drawn to us,found out about or nature and wanted it to be explained further. hell,i ever had an unawakened vampire ask to borrow my cell phone,we got to talking,he came home with me and a few friends, and awakened during the next few days.
yes of corse...I feel and agree with LaMuerte.. that we are drawn to each other to our own kind or those who share the same beliefs weather it be spiritually drawn or what not...or drawn to other kindred...search and you may find the answers you seek..ponder on your thought too long and you may miss an opertunity
I've been wondering if this thread still existed.
It's hard to estimate who's who unless you've worked with energy before.
Also, for me as of late, I can tell who has refined their energy use-- and who just sucks it up and spits it out at the first nametag they see when something goes wrong.
It is amazing how some of us are drawn to one another, why or how? Who can really say, who can really know?
if someone wants you to know the real them they'll tell you....
And yet not everyone goes 'hey looksie, I'm a vampie-- see I got the teef.'
It's a matter of taste, tradition they hold, and if they're comfortable in their skin so to speak.
Yes I have had that experience before and it really kind of depends on what kind of personthey are. They could be something and not even know it and you yourself could sense it. It really makes a difference if you know them or not. But yes it is kind of odd if you get the feeling because you want to know more and sometimes you can't get to know anymore information that what you just feel. It tends to be called stalking or obsession. LoL.
Yes I do feel this way from time to time. I am (almost) always accurate when I sense a certain kharma coming from someone, whether it be positive or negative.
Yes, yes I do. On the nights when I step outside of my own head, I often find myself wondering.
I myself do wonder the truth behind personas, sometimes I get a sense for it, other times I don't.
I try hard not to judge on face value, though in saying that, I also feel that the way we choose to portay ourselves says something about our personality.
The way I portray myself is the way I want people to see me, and the way I see myself in my mind...
yes i do alot, i'll just see random people and there will be just something about them that strikes me.
yes i wonder all the time i never take anybody for face vaule because u can mess up that way and i already have a naturel tendecy for trouble
I try not to ask these questions unless i feel a negative energy about them, then it makes me curious. Why is there a negative aura or energy surrounding them. If I was to ask myself about everyone i come into contact with i would not have time to do anything else. my sensitivity to energies make it very difficult to ask why when more than 1 or 2 people are around as I feel the energy from everything surrounding me.
Who doesn't wonder that from time to time? Personally, I think it's a rare thing for a person to be so 'what you see is what you get'.
If "what you see is what you get" worked I for one would never had meet most of my closest friends.
It's amazing how in the end we're all unique and all the same all rolled into one.
There are alot of special people out there who can read others.
It's quite fascinating to watch the talents of the individual play out in their interaction with others. My empathic nature is in its raw form quite potent, so I have some advantages there. Still yet we see vampires drawn by the sense of something more to one another. It all stands to reason I suppose, the creatures of the night are different from the rest of life so it makes perfect sense that we stand apart from the rest.
I try not to figure out who someone is bye the way they look because they may have the meanest look possible and turn out to be the sweetess person u have ever meet..Getting to know people is the best way to figure who they are and what kind of soul they have
Unfortunately, I don't pay much attention to people. However; if someone catches my eye, there is a reason. I stay to myself more times than not.
unfortunately i don't need to look at them and wonder cause i know they aren't vampires cause i am 1 i don't need to look at them all cause if there were any around me i would sence them
I tend to trust my gut instinct about people. If I feel someone is bad news they usually are.
Trusting ones "gut" feeling is always a good idea. There is always something you may not see at first glance that somewhere deep down you know is there.
i get the feeling that there is something else under the surface of most people . maybe im wrong, but no one ever turns out to be what they seem in my life
ive come across these peaple on a regular occurance but not to worry we will see these peaple all our lives
Well its obvious I do think they're there but I think it's all in the eyes of course:)
most of my life i've been able to read auras of one kind or another. usually just a vibe
'good' 'bad' 'coniving' and 'magical'
after a while my dad started to trust my insticts about people. its saved him some heartaches.
my sister on the otherhand cant see aura or get the vibes, but she is a strong communicator to spirits.
Yes I agree with Deathnitgrl...I can feel positive and sometimes negative in people...what really freaks me out is when the negative come from a family or friend member!
I have always been able to feel positive or negitive energy, if you walk in to my dads house (where i live) you feel all he neg. energy like a slap in the face, but if you walk in to my moms house , even if you've had a bad day, you feel begin to feel happier even after just a few minutes inside
I always have been able to as well. I can't explain it to my friends, They're just like " How do you know you don't like him " They tell me to talk to people and I do ... and I end up not liking them like I Said or something.. and they just think I am stubborn when I just get a weird energy about them @_@
I do wonder sometimes...... but one of my friends can tell what people are......by the auras
i have a very good sense of people, and tend to think of them in a different way than they would have me think of them.
though i'm very aware that my thoughts about them can be wrong, i try my best to never be judgmental, even in the smallest ways. it doesn't always work, but i try my best to take nothing at face vaule.
