Let me break this down for you all. It is simple mathematics.
5 people have 5 different scores.
At the very beginning of the race, Person A ALREADY has 500 favor.
At the very beginning of the race, Person B ALREADY has 300 favor.
At the very beginning of the race, Person C ALREADY HAS 200 favor.
At the very beginning of the race, Person D already has 400 favor.
AND
At the very beginning of the race, Person E already has 500 favor.
To calculate the mean:
Person A has 500
Person B has 300
Person C has 200
Person D has 400
+Person E w/ 500
THAT EQUALS 1900
Than, you take the SUM of ALL THOSE NUMBERS and divide it by X amount of people!!
1900 DIVIDED BY 5 is:
380
HOWEVER,.......
THE RACE HAS JUST STARTED>>> SO TOTAL FAVOR EQUALS ZERO!! GET IT???
It has nothing to do with the amount of favor that you started out with. You come into the race with ZERO favor.... otherwise, it would not be fair.
So...
Person A with 500 favor is starting out EQUAL TO, NOT GREATER THAN Person B with 300 favor. So on the chart is Person A with 500 and Person B with 300.
One week later:
Person A accrued 26 favor. Person B accrued 96 favor. NOW... EVEN THOUGH PERSON A STILL HAS MORE TOTAL FAVOR, Person B is STILL IN THE LEAD because he EARNED MORE FAVOR DURING THE RACE AND NOT BEFORE.
THIS RACE DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE FAVOR YOU STARTED OUT WITH. It is ONLY for the favor that you EARN DURING the race. SO.....
GM made a few mathematical mistakes... this could easily have been handled with a private message... not saying, oh, I showed this to my teacher which, no offense, I highly doubt.
This is how this is to be handled from now on so that there is NO CONFUSION. GM now knows the correct way to add this stuff up, so there should be no more problems. If there are any more problems, send me a private message and I will handle it.
