Just curious to see what the most sought after crystals are in healing applications. Also, if anybody is advanced enough and uses crystals for memory and learning, which are the most sought after? Thanks

If you pracitce magic enough you will never have to use crystals. You can use your mind to bend the immune system itself. Slightly advanced magic though.

I don't practice magic but I know that crystals are used for energy and meditation as well as a purifier in massage therapy and spas. I'm not sure as to how exactly it works. Nor am I sure what energy crystals are used for in practice.

I use crystals for meditation and for balancing my chalkra. I have been doing it for many years. Im a firm believer.

oh sorry I for4got to add, I use alot of rose quartz for my inner self ,hematite for grounding and amazonite for personal expression. Amazonite being the crystal I resonate with the most

You will need a good book on crystals, with pictures, and go to someone that sells them. Don't be ashamed or scared to ask questions, the owner of the shop will not only be glad to answer any questions but will talk forever about them. Crystal fairs are also found in many shopping malls. Go to the main office and ask when the next one is.

Rose quartz as been mention for healing. You can add clear quartz as an amplifier to any crystal. Dark stones are mostly for grounding, general rule. Stones that match or correspond to chakra colors are also good, don't matter what they are. Use your intuition, if in doubt. You will know if something isn't right. Beware of some nicely colored stones and crystals. For that is what happened, they have been colored - artificially. This goes for many of the smoke quartz that people use for grounding.

Price will vary big time. This is a fad for many and is extremely popular in Japan right now. People are sitting at the mines waiting to buy the best crystals on the spot, this forces the price up. Bartering for the price is a normal and not an exception. Always ask for deals. Clusters will cost more than points or polished stones. And the last is the memory crystals - Lemurian Crystals. They look like a semi clear quartz point but on some of the side you will see serrations or horizontal lines. Supposedly, these are the memories that were given to the crystal by the Lemurians before the land went poof. They will cost about forty US dollars each. Get at least one for your collection.

I love using crystals. Like above comment, you really need a good book. There is one called "Crystal Magic" which explains the uses and strengths of each crystal. They can only enhance what you are doing, and they are wonderful to wear or carry on a pouch. The most important thing is to cleanse each piece when you acquire it so that who ever has handled it doesn't leave any of their "psychic" reside. I use the word psychic because I can't at the moment recall another word.

I use Amethyst. it is with me all the time, because I am drawn to Purple in a big way... I am told by 2 different STRONG forces that Purple is a huge thing for me.. PLUS, I am addicted to the colour like a moth to a light!!

For maximum effect you need to find the specific crystal that you are drawn to. There are crystals used for general healing, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

I have always wanted to buy energy crystals but never got around to it. I want to reasearch it more also. My wife loves crystals so I might ask her a thing or two about them.

The use of crystals, gems, and even different stones is a decently old practice. Hematite is a highly used stone... Magnets are used for different sorts of pain, and it is even said that an amethyst is good for a headache.

Here's a quick question for ppl under these same lines? Does Hematite burn anyone else like it does me, or am I alone in this?

Never hematite....... I have had one other stone burn me.... It was due to the charge behind it. I dont know if that is the same for you though.

Well, if Im not mistaken, Hematite harnesses evil or darkness (or whatnot), and everytime I hold it, it burns me.. leaving usually a nice red mark on my hand (or wherever the stone touches)

Most crystals can be used to store energy, some just work better than others. My brother keeps a little pouch of crystals that he pours energy into. If he needs the extra energy he draws it back into himself. I use Amythest to help clear and align my thoughts. It also helps me sleep, and lavender incense helps.

wow Im a bit surprised at peoples answer to the hematite. I have Hematite On each foot (toe rings) I have had them there for at least 7 yrs. I have no trouble at all. I wear alot of it along with amazonite on my neck too .
To touch on something Billy said , " You will know what crystals are right for you Just by holding them and focusing on the energies you will pick up the vibes on if its a good crystal for you .

Thats the one cool thing about crystals " there is no right or wrong for the most part". As you see with the hemetite that I can use and some others cant. It rally depends on the person and the response to what they resonate mostly with .

Hematite has different uses DoomPrince. The main reason why you are being "burned" by the crystal has to do with drawing dark and evil energy from your body. A few good stones/crystals to use for healing are the main ones. Amethyst, quartz, rose quartz, bloodstone, diamonds, peridot, obsidian, and my personal favorite garnet.

Thanks for the information. All I know is usually my friends and such are not allowed to wear hematite around me. They've seen what it does to me... some actually find it funny... bastards! LoL

You don't need any crystals, you have to hone in on what we all have inside of us and most of us has never explored, we all have a magical side to us but sadly most of us never use it.

all stones and crystals have an energy of there own. for the head it is amethyst it gets rid of headaches, for learning is sodalite, hemetite is good for memory but snowflake obsidian helps to clear the cobwebs in the mind, Rose quartz is the stone of gentle love and gets rid of negativety there are stones for everything just look online for the they meaning of them

Crystals in most cases have nothing to do with strength, they are merely focusing elements.

Chrystals and stones have a calming effect on me. No I have never been burn by hematite or any other stone for that matter.

For memory try Golden Calcite. Improving memory should help with learning. Golden calcite is an excellent energy source for use at the crown chakra, is said to deepen intellect, memory, wisdom, psychic abilities, channeling and higher consciousness.

Pyrite (Fool's Gold) is good for divination, luck, increases memory, and concentration. I suggest trying both.

Crystals Are A Way To Focus Energy, Not Only For Good such as healing but evil as well.
