I was reading about this New Age therapy that communicating with angels is the key to healing.

I feel that there might be some truth to this, but feel it is more an intuitive subject more so than Angels. What is your take on this?

ive got angel taraot cards i had as a gift but to be honest ive never realy used them that much, but each reading gives you an angel to ask for any help you need ,might have to dig them out and have anotehr look at them

My take on this:

I believe Angels exist to serve God's will by helping us here on Earth. I do not think that any magik, energy manipulation etc can get them to help if the request does not meet with God's will for you. If your request DOES meet with God's will, then all that is required for their assistance if asking and faith.

If your request is against God's will, the Angels will not offer assistance to gain your desire, they will, however, help you to deal with the denial. There goal is to further God's will and they will try to help you see how your path and God's will can merge and become one.

I have to agree with you KCRC on that one, I for one do believe in angels due to my upbringing, but to to manipulate magick to be able to communicate with them, I don't believe is possible.

I went to a one day Angel course, it was healing with the angels. No magic.

Also the course was how to contact your angels. What the archangels meant to us. How to call upon each individual one for our healing.

I would offer more but KCRC said it so well that it is hard to do so.

I also believe that angels are here and if what we ask for is not in "the PLAN" then the angels are to help us deal with that as well. But over all, they are here to guide us thru "the PLAN" whatever that may mean for each of us.

I do think that we can tap into an energy from the angels that will help us heal....I think most of the healing is spiritually based but that is certainly a huge part of who we are and needs healing sometimes more so than the physical.

Mystic Winds, that is very interesting that you attended a course on this subject. Was it brought up in class if people have actually been healed by this proces?

As fpr me, well as I said earlier the theory of it sounds a little far out for me, but I like to keep my mind open on these subjects :)

Thank you Liebe :) I think some people do not trust their own intuition at times, so maybe we should. A friend of mines used to speak about the little Angel sitting on his shoulder keeping him safe. He was of the Muslim religion and quite devout, so perhaps it orginated from that culture...just a thought.

I have not heard of this therapy, but it sounds like "angel" maybe a metaphor for spiritual energy that is healthful. Hence the term angelic. My opinion only of course.

Good question, not much into the angel idea of healing really.
I think alot of healing comes from within ourselves.But I do believe and practice Reiki healing.Am just much of a believer in devine intervention.

There are many similarities between what some call "Angels" and others refer to as "Spirit Guides". I certainly hope people won't let semantics get in the way of discussion!

As to healing from Angels, again I still feel it depends on what God's will is on the matter. Sadly sometimes it is God's will that an individual suffers or dies. An Angel would not intervene in that by healing the individual. They would help by helping the individual to accept their fate, and ease their anguish as much as possible.

What I was meaning is that to some folks of strict religious beliefs, spirit guides are a big no-no. They view it as communing with Demons.

So to use the term Angel therapy makes it more acceptable to mainstream religions, as they all view these entities as the most positive.

I think we all believe in that which calls to us the most. And that belief can help you in healing or dealing with things.

I was going with the "God's Will" restrictions as the original question reffered to "Angels", which are servants of God by their definition. If you think of what the Judeo/Christions call Angels as some other entities, unrestricted by allegiance to a singular diety than many other possibilities are open.

A "spirit" which has no such allegiance might be persuaded to have only your interests in mind. They might be able to heal, assiste etc unfettered by the necessity of maintaining "God's Will".

ministering of angels is possible and does happen. the outcome may not be in man's hands, sometimes the best healing is ultimate healing. this has been around for thousands of years, all of the "new" discoveries being made in this field are just an attempt to modernise something that has been on earth since Adam.

angels to help heal? I dunno about this one. I mean Id love to think that but..arent angels for god's work? Unless the lord wants you to be healed you cant really manipulate the angels..but again..my take on it.

Angels are to be considered to be the middle guys between you and the All that is. So why not ask for their help for healing? Or anything else for that matter.

I don't see any way to communicate with angels, even in prayer you never actually hear angels talking to you unless you are one of those that needs mental evaluation... lol

Yes, it is funny how we pray to talk to G-d and that's ok but to listen we get locked up or made fun of. Except of course when shit happens. We really start talking and listening then - don't we.

for someone to rely on therapy other than your own is like allowing others to fix you.. shouldnt you just take charge and do what you want..

angel therapy.. although it sounds cute.. its like some religious nut woke up one day and decided to say .. " hey i wanna make some cash... quick think of something that'll appeal to poor saps and throw some heavenly sign.. or make it have some divine meaning.."

find your own therapy.. not someone elses.

I believe that angel are real and here to help and protect us but I don't know about any kind of therapy.

There are also angels on earth to help you ... like good friends whom you can turn to with out any bullshit. Love and trust are by two best angels i have and they are my best medicine in life.

There is much merit to what she's done. My point was simply that much of it is similar to spirit guide work that was know previously in "new age" types of studies.

As for communication with God, people do it every day and are not put in the looney bin, it's called prayer. Perhaps a little less ridicule of other people's beliefs is in order.

There is nothing "new-age" about it. working with angels and other higher beings have been done for centuries. It is now only being done in the open.

I believe that Angels or Perfect Souls are real but I don't believe that you can manipulate or Con them into anything. As for Angel therapy, I just don't know. I've never heard of such a thing but I will read up on it.

Good Point Erickthecrow! The power of positive thinking should never be underestimated. And I apoligize for the angels and cloud thing. After re-reading it I realized it sounds kind of smart-ass. Not what I intended at all. I was just making a verbal visual but it didn't come out right. :( Sorry.

When I think of Angel Therapy, I think of the little things that make you think someone is standing beside you. Like a flutter, a touch on the shoulder, a pause in a moment of time..

I wonder what would be considered an angle, I have read some thing about this I think anything that heals is a good thing,I would like to see this first hand.

Angels are always around us. Each angel has a special purpose. Everyone has their own angel & their own purpose. Angels know everything about you. If we open up to them, they can assist us in many ways.

Hmm... this is an interesting subject and something I've never heard about before. I'm not sure if I believe in Angels, but then again, if I believe in spirituality and even God, why not Angels? I wouldn't know what their role is though... The type of Angels I often hear about are Guardian Angels, which in a way I do believe in. Perhaps these Angels are in fact the souls of a lost family member or friend.

In a more rational sense, I'd say that Angels can be in the shape of humans, as friends or family. Someone who's there for you, helps you out, supports you, and just is your best friend would in my opinion be an Angel.

I think that communicating; praying or talking to any higher “power” can be helpful. Maybe people need to believe in some thing greater than them. It gives them some thing to look to in hard times. In a way it gives the hope.

There are those who would NEVER even consider calling forth and angel for healing.... Definitely not an archangel. Calling up angels is not for the shy and they are not cute cheruby guys who are filled with light and love. Archangels are warriors and I seriously doubt they could care less if someone needs a bit of healing. Just my opionion, but I doubt I'll be making any friends with this post either.

I believe in guardian angels but I don't think we can manipulate them on a whim. No harm in asking though.

I have read similar books and I do have 2 tarot decks that involve asking for help from archangels in particular. I think it boils down to personal belief. If you believe the angels exist then they can be used in a therapeutic way to help you overcome life's obstacles. For me the angels are no different to other cultures beliefs on Children of the Gods and messengers of the gods. It all boils down to what you want to believe. I seen nothing wrong with it personally.

I believe in the power of angels.

I had some therapy about 6 months ago... And THIS is on a wave-length of Angel_therapy..
It was colour therapy.. which was blessed by angels. ALL the colours thru the whiloe rainbow spectrum was presented in front of me.. I was asked to chose 2 that I was lead to.. pparently I had MY angels right by my side.. guiding me.
I MUST admit.. After the therapy.. i FELT serene..
it was a lovely experience.
But it all got spoiled for me.. a few days after... with a bunch of negative energy being thrust at me.

& I dont like the "it's gods will" theory, that if he wants you to have help you will, if not you can just rot & get on with it lol

Oh I have to disagree with the world being a better place. Who's to say that it isn't better already? We have no idea often times at just how fragile the human body really is.

Yet we do such amazing things. Looked at in a very scientific manner we should not be able to many of the things we do, yet we do, and then go on from there to even more things.

I definitely don't believe in Angels. It sounds so nice, but it is not my belief. If it works for some people, I think that is a beautiful thing. I believe in Spirit guardians, like my Grandmother who has passed in 1983.What a lovely creature she was, inside and out.

I think people can be angels too. They are in the right time and in the right place for the devine ot be worked through them. Being made in the image of the creater, makes us a wonderful "homonculus" for the devine to work sympathetic magic through. LOL

Kglitterous. a most excellent point. We being of spirit when we allow it can affect others just by a simply hello.

There are times when we had a nudge to say something that will in turn have an affect on a person beyond what we know. Perhaps it is the nudge that is an "angel" or perhaps it is our spirit just pointing the way.

So many potentials, and yet it does not matter what we think as long as what we do is true to our spirit.
