This is just a label, *death magick*....Well my truth is I believe that with the power of suggestion, anything is possible. If people so choose to label it as magic, or magick, because it fits for them, then so be it.....
Death magick as in necromancy? I'm sure that plenty of people practice it.
As for vampirism, I don't think its a form of necromancy as much as it is about energy feeding. That's not really a harmful thing unless you consider being a carnivore harmful.
Never heard of death magic, as a vampire of the living variety my goal is to enjoy the act of feeding.
Assuming you are talking of necromancy.... Yes, any form of magic that involves the dead would fall into the category of necromancy. That is true necromancy not the version you see in movies and stories.
Different forms of magic come from withing the practitioner, vampirism, depending on peoples personal definition of it, is either a learned practice or one that someone is born with.
I would say that you can use the escaping energies from a dying person or animal to strengthen what your doing, like a sacrifice. Or if theyre already dead, then it would be a form of Necromancy.
I am with Wolfsbohne on this one, either necromancy or voodoo. Many practitioners of the voodoo or voodun do deal with death and or illness partianing to death.
Isnt all magik deadly if its in the wrong hands?
I think all magik except healing kinds are the same but I dont practice magik at all.
get the book the necronomicon and yes it dos work thar is more thin variation good lock and be careful
1) Death magick exists - Site the reference- Spells, Ceremonies by Gonzales=Whippler
2) If you want to know what it is to deal on the death current then you should research the darker funerary rites that are believed to be the cause of death in a number of cases sited through history.
3) You will not find any accurate information in relation to anyone practicing this current because they know enough to keep the details to themselves, as well as their methods. The most recent record of such things would be found in researching victorian magick.
necromancy - ceremonial magjik
shamanism
voodoo
voodun
Santeria
pagan Greeks
Egyptians
Norse shamanism
Celtic shamanism
followers of Kali
many others.......
*nods* every culture has a way to cause death to someone.
If you want to study how best to do it for you, find what they did, adapt it to your own needs...and hope your will is stronger then theirs is.
for the second question,
I would venture to say that the Vampire is a form of a life current, a pseudo resurrection of self, and character through the consumption and imbibing of pranic current as manifested physically as the blood. The fluid medium for life.
Which according to christian mythos is what makes man corrupt, and damned is that there is blood in the veins. When the blood is removed the body is allowed to be purified to enter heaven.
So it would also serve to function that vampires preform a service of preparing bodies worthy enough to be allowed to become the base for the "sacred power" to injest the corruptions of others allowing the spirit of the corrupted to find peace and redemption in asking for forgiveness being allowed to enter into heaven....which would explain the Catholic rites that "create" a vampire, as well as the lore about vampires working with clergy.
Well it is nothing more than a label.... If it were real I would be tempted I love death...
im almost done with my training to become a necromancer it has a price to use dead magic aka necromancy
there are differences in the subtle of death magick and necromancy, but yea...they very much are the same.
Might I ask, how long were you in training on your path?
....o.O and your the authority? or your just scared of a type of perspective?
Vampirism the consumation of living currents to sustain oneself, feeds on the life there for causes the death of energy from lack of life, would thus be considered a form of death magick.
If magick is the manipulation of the enviroment in accordence with ones directed will.
It would fall under that catagory of using death to sustain life. So it becomes a form of death magicks. as well as life magicks...
I think it exists, but it wouldn't be something that I would consider studying or learning more about. Because I believe in living and that all have the right to exist.
i think if you do this on someone it will go back on yourself.
I knew people who practiced santeria its a part of death magik but i dont know much
Konstantinos uses magick which requires connecting with "Death" as a facet of the universal source in his book.
Death magick is real and novampirism isnt death magick. its something youre born with.
Hey Lisa.....
Please prove to me vampirism isn't a form of death magick....
Anyway....great thread so far...
This is just a label, *death magick*....Well my truth is I believe that with the power of suggestion, anything is possible. If people so choose to label it as magic, or magick, because it fits for them, then so be it. Different forms of magic come from withing the practitioner, vampirism, depending on peoples personal definition of it, is either a learned practice or one that someone is born with.
Death magick uses the invocation or evocation of the facet of the Universal Source known as Death. Death can be drawn down as a deity like any of the mythological gods. One can be possessed under certain conditions with the energy of Death the deity. Wiccans commonly use a similar ritual for evoking the Goddess called drawing down the moon. Dark nocturnal pagans do this with ritual working in which Death is the deity addressed.
Platinumwitch, your response was really wonderful, thank you for sharing that with us
As a practintioner or the necromantic arts for years I get tired of people that think it is like everyone sees in the movies...and yes there is a price to pay for dealing with the dead the question there is is it worth the person to pay.
as for vampireism I see it as just one of the many steps of evolution that we as humans will go through for some
I belive that all magic exist whether to label it as death magic am not sure i am to believe any strong magic could be capable to cause one death if meant to do such harm
Sure death magick exists, its obviously just not common. I think only really powerful witches or warlocks could have the ability to do that, and by the time they reach that level they realize what a threefold bitchslap they'd be getting, for lack of a better term.
I don't think vampirism would be considered a death magick.
That to me would be something very evil and dark that I would think anyone would really want to stay away from. Just my humble opinion, but I'd be turnin tail and running mighty fast.
Dark and evil do not mean the same things.
Dark and light are opposites with light being like the day with dark being like the night. Evil and good are opposites evil Hannibal Lecter and good extreme Glenda the Good Witch of the North.
One can be evil and light or good and dark they are not exclusive terms.
I classify myself as a good dark witch.
An example of Death Magic:
Gods of Darkness, I humbly pray to thee, my blood contains the light of my soul, I swear to use death magic as I so will or to seal the oaths I take, always enhancing my own power or to empower a magical item. So shall I will to increase the light of my soul for the souls I extinguish.
I would hope none would feel the necessity to use death magick although I do have one person, I might be tempted to use it on. I don't think vampirism is in any form a death magick
I think all things are possible . With karma thought I don't think I would use it if I knew any . I would want to though.
Death magic, at least from what I know, is using the power generated from the ending of life to empower your rituals and spells. Naturally the most powerful form would come from the death of another person. That's where death magic gets the evil connotations from, because practitioners trying to get more power.
As for vampirism, unless the vampire kills and is using the death, not the blood, but the death caused to fuel itself, then it isn't death magic.
Usually the term death magic is done by sacrifice or as someone dies. I would hope that no one is quite stupid enough to actually try it, or they could wind up in an electric chair. Also it is considered a part of satanic and black magic, and as a practicing witch for many, many, many years, I would leave it the hell alone. What you send out always comes back to bite you in the ass sooner or later.
i personally dont believe in it. but everyone is entitled to believe what they want and practice accordingly.
i believe in very dierly as its a curse .. id becarefull to use it as i feel it really works..
Dark Magick (or Chaos Magick) is the raw Warp energy that flows from the Chaos Gates. It is shapeless, and yet shapes the world through its undirected energies. Exposure to Dark Magick will, sooner or later, mutate anything and anyone (although some races are more resistant to this than others) and therefore it is by far the most dangerous of the Arts.

I do believe in it's existance... and it does concern me greatly how it can be used. Hopefully wisdom resides with those who practice it.
Rev. Ravyn
i believe in death magick and it has to be used carefully as i believe it a curse
curse someone to die, use santeria or voodun. i'd hate to see the power of 3 kicking some spiteful shit in the ass for putting a deep curse on someone, hoping for death!
I have never heard of death magic. What acutally is it?
I don't believe that vampires use death magic.
Yes it exists as it has been stated many times in this forum... I know several people who practice necromancy and do so with the up most respect for the arts..
As far as Vampirsm goes yes it is a form of death magic as it drains the blood of others as stated as well before this post.. I know a lot of people who would say differant but come on people think about it they drink the blood of another in order to sustain life for themselves.. Thus bringing death to some...
Read my earlier post on this thread. I do not use necromancy as I do not commune in ritual with the dead but with the facet of the Universal Source that personifies as a godform the being Death. I do not curse or sacrifice lives, however some of my life force may be forfeit in some rituals. If you want to learn more read books by Konstantinos.
Very good indeed. I am aware of death magick and would hope that practicioners of this were very careful of disturbing their own karma when using this form of magick.
death magic as in invocations and rituals to cause a death, bring people back from the dead or summon death.
for the first two, they may well exist, but just imagine the sacrifices neccesary to practice such magic, if you believe in magic governed by equivilent exchange or the rule of thrice returned, then any work with death would have dire results for the caster/practitioner.
as for magic to summon death, it is real and can be done but again requires incredible sacrifice and controll to my knowledge
hope this helped

Isn't that when you perform some kind of ritual to bring the dead back? That is creepy
I don't know if there's anything to death magick or not...and I don't want to find out. LOL
i believe in karma, if its meant to happen and you did something horrible to someone i think they have the power to kill you though a spirirt
what kind of death.. killing or suicide?
i would not kill unless someone deserves it
suicide is a case by case situation
I believe that many cultures use forms of death magic, Voodoo, etc. They truly believe in what they do. I think miracles are known to have happened throughout history. I think we are nieve to think it is not possible. However,I personally would not ever try to use these forms of energy or rituals, for any purpose. I am a karma believer and feel anything bad you put out into the world will come bak to you twofold.
Death magik? Do you mean magic that can cause the death or harm of others? As for vampireism, it isn't magic. It's as normal as being human... only not.
Death Magic has existed for quite some time now. It's called Necromancy.
"Necro" (death) "Mancy" (magic)
Necromancy generally starts off light enough, talking to the dead that sort of thing, or so I've come to understand. It's when you reach a roadblock that it jumps from "harmless curiosity" to "ohmygowhatthef**kareyoudoing magic".
From what I understand (so I could be wrong) all necromancers hit a point where they can do no more. They've reached a certain spot where they can't go further...without breaking a few boundries. Great you can communicate CLEARLY with the dead...the next logical step for most would be to control them.
Of course most spirit mediums are going to jump down my throat for remotely SUGGESTING that they are in fact necromancers, but any type of magic, good or evil intent, when dealing with the dead falls under the realm of Necromancy.
And it rarely ends well...
I've practiced "necromancy" If that's what you mean by "death magic". So, yes it does.
Yes i have heard of necromancy or death magic.. Never practiced it though.. Not my cup of tea..
Death magick.. I think it would qualify in the necromancy category..
Well there can be maney sides to this question and either way could lead to a yes or a no. Now my answer to this is its intirely possible it exist and if used could be quite fatel. Now a vampire woould not be part of this for it is more complex then a simple death spell making them as to like a zombie would be what death magic could possibley fall under at least its my opion on the matter.
I believe in death magick and I would use it if a person deserves it
As many said here... death magic= necromancy... never practiced... I would like to know it a bit..
It is dangerous like everything .. when you don' know how to use it.. with a knife you can do alot of things.. but give it to a 3 yars old kid... what will happen?
Death magic has nothing to do with vampirism, that doesn't even make sense really. Perhaps I don't understand what you mean by the two being similiar.
Anyways, there are all type of "magicks" that deal with causing harm, death, etc. Many cultures have this in one form or another.
i believe there is death magic if you truely wish to unleash a demon into your house or upon yourself..vampireisn is technically a death magic i see where your comming from but not all vampires kill
well wouldnt any magic that could possible be used to kill someone be death magic
as for vampirism it not a magic so i would say not
iif you 'd callit that death magik is very real. vampirism is something totally unrelated to it
If I knew how to use it I would of definately done it in the past.
Vampirism and necromancy is linked in a strange manner in one of Lovecraft`s stories:
The Case of Charles Dexter Ward
Here is a nice link about that!
Without the original poster to clarify what is meant by death magic
( hell. the first thing I thought of was the vibrating palm), and what is meant by the connection of death magic and vampirism (no freaking clue), I'm closing the thread.
