I am fairly new here and would like to pose this question.

What Psychic abilities have you come to realize in yourself as a result of the vampire nature?

Any?

Have they just come to you or have they developed as you grew and learned about the vampire nature within you?

not a vampire, but I have some abilities. I guess I was born with it, and as I grew older these abilities started to come out more. Like I can sense energy, see it even.

I often dream of the future, and watch as it comes to pass. Sometimes, I don't even dream it. I'll see it or even I'll have a feeling. Really, it's something that has grown with me. I've also been able to pick up on another's feelings, and sometimes thoughts.

So, I don't know about vampire's and I hope you'll find your answer.

I really don't believe that the vampiric nature and psychic ability have anything to do with one another.

Psychic ability is an innate ability that one has.

I don't think being vampire has anything to do really with psychic abilities I think you either have the ability or don't really

psychic ability is something that either u have or u dont. It has nothing to do with vampires

Psychic ability is something that you have or you dont, it does not matter if your vampire or not.

In my opinion, I believe living vampires do develop psychic abilities over time and some develop faster and with more ability. It all depends on your desire, application and knowledge.

I'd have to say according to lore, vampires are innately possessed of psychic ability.

I think people have natural abilities that can be honed... vampire or not

but it isnt just vampires that have that innate ability there are many human that possess that as well.

it is possible, just like it's possible for any human. It's an Innate ability and you can develop them stronger, if you work on them. So why not a vampire?

I have to agree with Black Hawk - I do not believe the 2 are related.

I believe we all have or had psychic abilities...As we became older we got caught up in discovering new things to do and having adults tell us there are no such thing as ghost and it is just our mind playing tricks on us.

i have some psychic power, though its very weak, i only notice, that i drain energy from things when im in close proximity, like the last consert i went to, 2 ppl colaspsed around me, idk if i was the only cause to there weakness, but i no doubt played a part of it...i have no real control of it either, like its not that i cant, but something is preventing it.

personally i dont think there is alot of stuff like this, i mean it must be extremely rare, not saying im that special lol but its fairly uncommon.

I believe it doesn't matter are you a vampire or not. This ability can be for humans, as well as for vampires, too.

Vampire or mudane human. Being either one, you might or might not have psychic abilities. But it is common among Psi vamps.

precognition
remote viewing
dual consious astral projection
mediumship and channeling
projecting consiousness to make others channel for you...and a host of other really neat skills.

You just have to be aware of who you really are before you can start working on these things.

I can channel energy for purposes of healing. For example i can make headaches go away(just not my own)

I can 'feel' Chackras on a persons body

I can also 'steal' another persons energy.

I think the one thing here,thats is NOT
mentioned..is the fact that another gift
besides the energy steeling or bending or projecting...is the fact that the first thing you do learn or get is a mental bond or links to 'others'.Shareing converstaions
or whatever the vampire grape-vine has to offer that is said during a full mental link to anyone that is listining.

Wow, there are a lot of awesome posts here for me. I do know that humans posess these things, I guess I am wondering if it is stronger for the vampire or just the same depending on the person.

i can channel energy. i can also sense other people's heart beats. i also have dreams that come true in usually a week.

Which vampires are we discussing here?

The pretend ones or the real ones who think they are really old, etc?

From what I have read, vampires are preternatural so therefore, have to be somewhat psychic.

Perhaps the sharing of blood makes them in tune with one another?

The bloodlen have their own innate abilities, aquired at birth. These abilities always differ in acuteness between the individual, but remain the same throughout their lives.

Psychic awareness may be aquired by anyone at any time. Bloodlen are more intune with it. I personally call this attribute "Clairvoyance". Some individuals are not exactly aware of this attribute, but learn to control it over time after the fact.

I didn't inherit my healing or empathic skills; they have grown over the years, especially since I left my husband; I think that he was stifling my growth during our marriage, in so many ways, and when I left, my mind was free to accept my gifts

I should have clarified that I was asking about real vampires, not the hollywood ones.

I think abilities can grow with a person as well, and for my own sake I sure hope so.

I think it would be stronger for vampires just because thay have more time to tweak their abilities.

I can say that I being empathic and having the abilities to send and pull energy as well as seing spirits are psychic abilities.. I can see visions of things to come and even dream walk as well...
I draw negative out and send positive to those I love and care for...
I have done this for many years and feel that these in them selves do not make you vampiric.. I think it makes you who you are spiritually..

Indeed it does if you do not have that connection then you will be less likely to have these abilities.

Does it work like any skill a human has, the more you use it the better you get. Does that work with your connection as well?

Yes it does the more you use your abilities the more they grow as with a seed that is planted you nuture it it grows into whatever you plant from the seed...

Not nessisarily. Some people who are disconnected totally for some reason or another cannot gain these abilities

i do not know about others but from time to time i can get in some ppls heads and read there thoughts it tends to be a useful tool from time to time

I've heard that a vampire who has psychic abilities is a manipulater & cant be trusted

Psychic abilities have nothing to do with a vampiric nature. They are completely seperate and both need complete devotion to learn and control.

I don't think they are linked or related. Some abilities are attributed to the person, not the fact that they are vampires. Although I would imagine that vampirism has certain traights that would be considered Psychic. If you go with the hollywood version, there was all kinds of mind control. To me that is a psychic ability. In real life? Only what humans posses and that is a rare few.

Psychic abilities and vampires seem to be linked to fiction for the most part. However a person with psychic abilities can ve a vampire of the living variety.

I have a few different abilities ( some I would get rid of if possible .. others I have learned to deal with) and I am a vampire.

Now do I think they are linked.. no. One does not follow the other. Altho I believe you have to be born with both... neither can be learned or taught or given. ( again in my view this is so).

But I know many with gifts as good or better than mine that are not vampires..as I know vampires that would not know say a ghost if it was danceing before them.

Being empathic may be one of them.....

as vampires get older, their abilities get stronger.
Being one of the oldest vampires in existance, i have developed such powers as psi-kenesis, telepathy and clairvoyance.
