Okay so I will start with this post, and then I will ask to the general populace who place in this hornets nest of thought.


Do we strike fear in to the hearts of all? or is it because they lack the information needed to think outside the bun?

Simple response:

It is because they have nothing better to do with their own miserable lives then to make other's lives like theirs, based on psychology and manipulation.

This system has worked time and time again. Bible basher's will always be around us just because they can, so they will. Even if vampi/yre's and other like minded people hold little to nothing against them.

Retaliating does nothing but add to their, "credibility" scheme. Doing nothing in response neglects them from our lives and thus makes their words, "less then credible" for the outcome to be, "why do we care about what you think?"

I just read the comments on that new, "thread", yeah. The audience was actually defending the vampirerave.

I saw that when in the results section after i punched in VR in a google search.

My immediate thought was the old idiom 'people fear what they don't understand...' but its good to hear that VR is being defended as since I've been here I have encounted nothing but friendship, harmony and a genuine search and sharing of knowledge.

The term "Troll" came to mind when I read that.

Who strikes fear? Who is we? There is no such thing. No one is afraid of anything these days.

In my opinion no one has the right to judge other people and what they choose to believe in. We are all entitled to choose the lives we want and do what makes us happy. There is so much stereotypical emphasis put on the choices and life forbiddens of today's society. I was born with a brain and a natural right to live and do the things in life that make me happy I don't have to answer to any one. I live the vampire life forbidden because I love the dark sensual side of life and that is what I embrace and enjoy. If other people don't like or agree with my choice then that's their problem no ones perspective on life is ever the same we all posses different thoughts and opinions why is one persons view more important that that of another person. I am judged for being on a site that is full of nothing but good people full of knowledge and a sense of community. Why is that so wrong or bad there is nothing wrong with being different and not conforming to the every day norm of society. If you want to be apart of something you enjoy then go for it if some one do sent agree then they don't have to be apart of it.

Sounds like someone just needed a place to whine about something they couldn't control. Or, they were banned on here for some ridiculous reason and they chose to whine about that. It's people like that that give religious people a bad name. 'we cant control it, so lets remove it.'

I believe that we aren't what scares people but the ignorance in those people that scares them. Just because we do not simply fit in their carefully made categories that they made to make them feel safe we are shunned or feared or diagnosed with mental illnesses. People tend to fear and hate those who are different or unique from the mainstream society.

More narrow minded morons who think extreme right wing Christian views are the only answer. I'm not a Satanist no matter the brand but I'm not one of the sheep who believes liking something dark is punching my ticket to hell either. It's funny, cause just a few days ago I was saying in the thread "What If" that what outsiders see and hear about our kin often comes from what they or others have read in places like VR. What happens is a bunch of role player come in and drop a bunch of garbage information and comments like "I'm not human" or "I'm evil." That crap is either completely dismissed or as in this case totally believed. The role player really don't care what happens to the vampiric community because they will just go back to being themselves, so it really is incumbent upon us to step in when we here this sort of nonsense and call them on it.
It's this kind of stuff that destroys our reputations and ultimately our lifeforbiddens.

Speak for yourself, ~Severus~. Just because bible thumper's try to condemn vampire's for being a demonic plague of some sort doesn't mean that we negate our responsibilities to keep their heads under our boots, metaphorically.

While I am not a roleplayer, I can see where your coming from in that perspective. But, just because someone screams and moans about how, "evil" they think someone is... doesn't make their points justified or valid. On the contrary. They can nag and moan all they want, I think they are just in the need of a cookie.

Let them do what they will... in the end, it won't change a thing... we will still carry on as a real vampire community like we always have. Supportive of one another with a cohesive bond.

I notice the one who spoke up saying you can't just get a website 'banned' because you don't like it - was banned and 'going to hell' per the site. And those who went from here to express your opinions are 'Under investigation'. In other words- you agree with them or you don't stay on the site.

I think we should stop viewing the site, as any website will die without traffic. Let this one die a slow painful death.

Agreed, VW. Their and opinions are theirs- and unless something changes tomorrow that says they no longer have the right to express them I say turn the other cheek and dismiss them as what they really are- opinions, no matter how offensive we may believe them to be. That is how we learn to coexist, no?

These and all have the right to their opinion. If it were not so, then we would not have the right to voice ours.

You don't think it's possible to apply enough pressure towards an owner to have them remove VR off of their server or to remove the VR domain name??
You don't believe that VR's advertisement partners can't be targeted by a group on a mission??
The craziest of groups are usually the most persistent.
I'm not saying that people who are into role playing shouldn't be allowed to post, I'm saying that when people do post comments about how "they sparkle in sun light" that this view be pointed out as just that, role play.

Maybe even give the folks who like the type of inter active role playing provides be given a place on the Dark Network.

Anyway - hate-filled ignorant people will always be around spewing crap...and they'll have the right - for the most part - to keep at it. It's part of living on this earth - in the US especially. It's up to the rest of us - I hope - to continue to speak up and discredit them publically.

This site really made me sick. And did anyone notice that f someone even made a half assed attempt to defend the sight, there were banned? There was even a guy who said that women should remain silent and obey there husbands. I made an account just to tell him off.

No matter if its Vampires, Ghosts, Witches, etc, there will always be someone who is either scared of it, or against it. I find it rather funny that some people have started a thread about VR. Ha, like they could ever get it banned. There was one guy who at least stuck up for the freedom of speech and expression. He was defending our right to voice our beliefs. And, as we are not hurting anyone, that thread will eventually dwindle out.

If they are gonna bash VR, then why are they not bashing Magus Anton Szandor LaVey website for the Satanic Church? The ignornace of people never ceases to amaze me. It is interesting how a person that has been shelter in the life of a church does not realize what they are doing actually offends people like me.

I say this because I am one of the many few who belongs the ther elite freedom fighters that take up about 1% of the US population. Yes, I am in the military and I defend everyones right to freedom of speech, religion, and anything else that is legal. I have take the time to research a pletora of religions, but I tend to stick to my own morals as there is no religion that fits my morals 100%. I guess organized religion is not for me.

Fanaticism and fashicsm plague the freedoms of all people, but they can be supress by the masses. They can also be changed through knowledge because all knowledge is worth having.

Burn the books if they offend or tell stories an extremist doesn't want bring told. This is no different, the fact that a website that has dark overtones that offend them is out there is so unsettling to them that not only do they want it gone but they have to ban anyone who voices a contrary opinion to theirs. If they had their way, nothing like this would ever exist...but they don't. God, or the one they claim to be the devout servants of would see this bashing they're doing as a greater sin than exploring the darker elements of life. Darkness is just as natural as light, one cannot exist without the other...no?

It's not the first time vampirerave got bashed. In 2007 we were mentioned on somethingawful.com This is not the first time VR got bashed and it won't be the last time for sure.

As for the godhatessinners site, it's just one of the stupid godhates blabla sites which one of them was mentioned a few times before, like godhatesgoths, and another one which was brought to attention on vr about having goth children. The difference that this one has a forum, and it's full of bashing and hate. There is even one about Christians hating cartoons, stating that today's cartoons are satanic.

The most ironic and contradictory thing about all of this, is that it is taught that god is all about love, yet they make sites like this with the intent of hating and bashing anything and anyone they don't like.

Seriously, but no wonder why people are getting off the church and god. With this attitude they're doing it wrong and are bringing more hate into society and against Christians, instead of being acceptable and unite everyone.

Luckily there are still many Christians who are able to love and have nothing to do with these, because honestly, these kind of people shouldn't call themselves as Christians, they're just haters and that's it.

People fear everything they don't understand that is just human nature most people are scared of stupid stuff. Most of us express what we believe and some are sheep that express others belief's because they are hollow and possess no belief of their own. I thought God was "Love" not "Hate".

There are a couple other constants than change such as pain. However what we have is a classic case of Religious Zealotry. I think they follow the Old Testament God of Destroy everything that disagrees a little too much and just sort of disregarded zombie Jesus.

My membership to Vampire Rave was even brought up as "proof" that I was "ungodly." This from my significant other I spent over 20 years with, merely to fling mud in my face with lawyers and to make me "look bad" to the judge.

Psychological Evaluations ensued and guess what? My Ex was the one who failed with his guarded, Godly answers to "fake good." Suffice it to say, you will always have someone out there who will USE their religion to hurt others when it best serves their purpose at the time.

I, for one, reserve the right to know the Creator on my own terms, not by those outlined by other men who deem it necessary to Educate the Lesser Folk on what should be defined as Good and Evil.

Having the Knowledge of what is Good and Evil will get you nowhere if you don't have the Wisdom to realize you don't Know Anything At All.

As far as I'm concerned there will be people like this no matter where we turn. Heavy metal? That's the work of the devil. Sex before marriage? You're going to hell for that. You like vampires or anything related to the occult? You're definitely HELLBOUND! Meh, I ignore that.

Actually you could be a goth, a vampire, whatever you want to be and at the same time a Christian, a Pagan, an Atheist, you could be whatever you want to be, therefore their opinion is very biased. Luckily not all Christians are like these, in fact there are a lot of Christians who accept 'differences,' and there are people on here who are indeed Christians. They are not only making a bad reputation to this site but to themselves as well, and it's a pity that then everyone gets generalized because of a group on a website, therefore the critique has to be about that website only.

Those who think goth=evil are far more narrow minded than they believe they are. Without darkness there is no light, and vice versa but there are still 1/100 who understand this like we do who will refuse to accept that.

People can say they are tollerant of it, but they still have the thoughts about it and are still put off but they control it.
