Its like asking is god real, if god is real to somepeople then he is real for them.... do we know the truth about anything... The real vamps are probably laughing... but if what we belive or think we believe makes us a better person/ happier person and it harms none , then the truth doesn;t matter

the same could be said about christanity, all we reall have as billions of belivers, hundreds of versions of the same book, which like every thing els is writing by "man", there is absolutly no evedince that God really exist, if there was i think every soul would belive, would be better than goin to hell. there is a emotion or what ever you want to classify it as called faith. there is somthing greater an more poerfull out there, in times of weakness an joy you can feel it.
I consider my self a vampire not cause any one told me, or that i decided thats what i want to be when i grow up. I know what i am.

The truth is always twisted and defiled for the purposes of those who possess the original form of the Truth whether it is by accident or by design. If vampires truly exist then a lot of the lore that has been passed down will be what THEY want us to know. Despite this a bit of actual Truth will have slipped through the net but the best we can hope for is that we're looking at the real picture through bloody water (i was gonna say muddy but bloody's more apt dont you think?). We can see the outlines but we'll never know the intricacies of the design......well not unless we're reborn.

one here asked...who would go to all that trouble.....well.....if you were an immortal creature that would be hunted relentlessly by modern man.....think how much effort you would put into a bit of disinformation.....now look at the real world....disinformation is a daily occurence....we are led by the nose by news services....medical services...educational services...government.....television... etc etc.....how many people world wide actually believed there were weapons of mass destruction in iraq for example....

Truth can NOT be whatever you want it to be. That is the very essence of Truth. However, human perception often skews the truth and it is the perception of the person that makes it whatever they want it to be.

As for vampire folklore, it has been distorted through the centuries, much as the stories in the Bible have been altered in meaning by new movements and belief systems rising. This is also seen in eyewitness testimony in that the eyewitness will say the perpetrator had a mauve scarf when he really had a blue one. In any case, anything that passes through human hands has a tendancy of being distorted through time--especially if it was never written down. Oral traditions are great, but the story changes with each retelling and that is much of the way that the vampiric tales have been passed down. We have no real idea of how these ideas may have been generated; rather they were produced independently or through diffusion, etc etc.

all truth is from a fact but eventually through the stories it becomes blown out of proportion,,,, therefore it becomes a lie... because then its not truth.... its just rambleing

There are so many different myths out there and, as for websites, the information id often contradictory. Every vampire is different. A single story can't classify us. How would you like it if I said, "all witches have warts on their ugly hooked noses" or "all humans give in at the first sign of trouble"? I know some very pretty witches with not a wart in sight and there are people who fight to the very end for what they believe in so vampires cannot be classed by what one, two or even half a dozen people say.

Everyone beleives in something different. The truth is different to everyone. For example, Look at all the different religions. They beleive the truth is what their religion says, but a different religion says different and those people beleive what their religion says and that is the truth to them. The truth can be many different things.

The truth about anything is irrelevant. To many words to many sayings has made the truth into lies, fokelores, and stories. Maybe it's like Jack Nicolson said "You can't handle the truth." Maybe we can't, maybe everything is a lie. Who knows for sure what the truth is. We lie just to tell the truth. I believe our whole existence is based on a lie. Well that is just my opinion !!

because its what the parents of those kids told them hell the parents may have been scared to go out after dark also but it was the parents that told the kids the stories of how vampires were killers that came in the night to feed on bad little boys and girls

you should also know that even if you are reincarnated you do not remember your past life when you are reborn it takes some untill there teen years if not later to remember if at all so parents made up these stories about things they didnt understand to stop there kids from sneaking out or trying to run away
