Batman... all the way. The comics are more interesting (Dave McKean's Arkham Asylum....classic), and Superman...isn't really human enough to identify with. I could go on for a bit...but I'll just say Batman is loads more fun.

superman, we can't be him. he's an alien. it'd be neat to have him exist and save our asses and stuff..but it doesn't hit too close to home for me.

batman, on the other hand, is a nutcase with a vendetta against criminals and a whole bunch of money.
i can watch and fantasize about...getting myself a whole bunch of money and some nifty gadgets and storming nyc scaring the crap outof people...

The Dark Knight, without a doubt.
He is so full of pain and anger, and yet he tries to do something positive with it all. No matter what you can always see the pain in his eyes, as though he might at any moment snap.....

Batman, Superman does what he does because he's an alien and has superpowers. Batman is simply a badass that knows right from wrong and deals with it the best way he knows how.

my favorite is batman for the fact that he was not born to be a superhero. Hes a mortal being that took it upon himself to become a hero and actually can be killed by conventional means.

well it definately seems that batman wins by a mile with this crowd. i'll just add to it, Batman all the way, he's human, he's normal, he's what we all wish we had the courage to be. a person who is strong enough to make the difference without any special abilities/powers/whathave you. that and hey, no matter who plays him, the character is sexy as all hell!!

I guess I've never been real fond of Superman. I mean I use to watch the show with Dean Cane when I was little but that's mainly because my parents watched it. I am in love with Batman! He's my hero! *LOL* Mainly because I love bats, being out at night, Catwoman, the movies, and the cartoon. I don't really know how else to explain it! Besides... I'm the real Catwoman! »^_^« Shh! Tarquin this is an interesting question. I am a huge comic book collector and do have both of them in my collection. As drawings go Batman has better artist and crossed into many other story lines. Superman has evolved into well written story but how many times can he save the world and defeat evil. Even though he was killed and resurrected he tends to play the same story lines.

Just in pure entertainment I would say The Dark Knight.
