I believe that real vampires live 10 to 25 years longer than a human, because less sun rays damage the energy they take in, and less stress in there life, because they have a spirit that wants them to live longer. Please let me know what you think.

I would say they live shorter lifespans than the average human. In my opinion vampires are truly humans living a lifestyle that by its very nature is more high risk. I base this on no actual fact but on pure conjecture.

Since vampires are normal people, I'd say they live no longer than anyone else. Perhaps because they maintain their energy better than most other people they would remain healthy into later years, there are plenty of non-vampires who live well into their 100's.

The Soul of a vampire in this lifetime is far more brilliant than the body.

The body they've chosen subconciously before being born is what they wish to use in order to learn, to know about this particular time and date.

I can recall some things from the 1940s, as well as far beyond that. Timewalking is something I've delved into-- if that's the correct phrase for it.

The body is just a vessel. Nothing more.

Though the sun does speed up the aging process, it would be without validation to assume that it extends your life by even ten years. I'm sure that it allows you to look much younger, and probably does extend life a little(provided you get Vitamin D). Ultimately, I think lifespan has much more to do with other lifestyle factors..like diet, or smoking.

The soul of a vampire is immortal, living on after the body dies, and eventually inhabiting a new one, but the physical body of a vampire is far from immortal.

I'd just stay with the idea that they're the same as a human, and can live from anywere to 2-100 years, depending on the circumstance.

I always thought the most atractive part of the idea of vampires was that they lived far longer than humans. it was part of there beauty. whats the point of being restricted to the darkness and killing people for your own life if your just going to wither away like a human?

I may come off rude here.. but I am going to attempt to remain focused on the topic. We are all human.. When others start discussing immortality that is just a false idea.. Unless the possibility of a spiritual immortality. Life spans are based somewhat on genetics. Say for instance.. One of your parents had cancer.. genetically speaking the possibility is there that you would inherit that gene and contract an estimated death similar to the parent that had passed away. Those that are Vampyric.. Are in a matter of speaking.. individuals who have inherited a more delicate gene. With our physical diets, and our own concern for longevity there are ways to prolong our lifespans. But.. each person has a different set of genetic material.

With what i said.. I am begging you guys to please do more research, and refrain from discussions of improper idealism. immortality is not a key factor in this discussion, From what I gather.

How about this for research? Vamps aren't real...So anything you decide to say about them could be true...The stories of Vampires say that vamps live forever...That's all we have are stories...Don't get mad at people for not researching a FICTION topic...

We seem to be discussing 2 different kinds of vampires. There are the fictional, immortal kind, and there are the real, psy/sang vampires. Don't insult us by telling people that they don't exist.

120 yrs was the limit about 20 yrs ago from what I read. I believe it was changed and now is about 150 yrs. Some talk of trying to reach the 200 yr mark.
Then again, Babaji is said to be over a thousand. There might be hope for us to live a lot longer than we wish too.

My dear Valos... I'm intreged by the question that you ask of, but even I know that we vamps don't live forever...lol... BUT I do know that our spirits live on way after the physic body passes... Granted, yes I would be nice to live forever but even in most stories and movies the vamp eventually dies but the spirit and soul does not... And I've researched this type of topic among others for a very long time.... :)

Well if you judge by Hollywood the oldest ones live up to be 400 yrs. old.

But here in reality, you can expect that to be far less than that. lol Perhaps, as to what someone here has already said, they can transfer into another body once their own finally dies.

i have two points of view, that they may live more then the human averege, like may be 100 years longer, if they are care full, but why you whant to live so much if you are going to be scare even from the sun??? and my other point of view, is that in this day, are no more vampires, so is only filosofical vampires and blood drinkers, so they may not live more then "normals" human, or may be less

My personal opinion towards vampires and their life expectancy is they live just as long as an average human I would say. Vampires really in my opinion aren't that much differnt than humans. Vampires are not immortal and they can go out into the sun and yeah they drink blood if they so choose. My vampyric lifestyle is just like an average human except I'm extremly anemic and that can lead to the actual disease which they call the vampire disease, but I'm just like an average human (unfortunatly) but to me vampires life expectancy is just like any humans in my opinion.

We are Human at the end of the day, humans are not immortal . Some may believe the Soul is immortal in that it re-incarnates.
I think its been put over that genetics will play more of a factor than anything else. Also you really have to watch the traffic when your crossing the road.

LaMuerte & SatansSeed666 are in the same boat as I am.

I wish people would stop coming to site like these and killing off the last real haven -I- have, at least. It's irritating me beyond belief-- and remains the reason why I've not even bothered to upgrade to a premium membership, and why I'm thinking of leaving all together.

ANYWAYS, yes, there are the fictional, storybook vampires and those that have grown up/ moved on in Lives as reincarnations, thus their soul immortal. This reasoning is from my Wiccan heritage by my other, and from a deeper, personal belief-- MY belief and not hollywood's.

I agree that vampires are 'normal' human beings. I use normal loosely cause there isn't such thing as normal really.

But vampires, we live the same amount of time as non-kindred does, we just life a different way. We are not dead, and we are not immortal besides our spirits.

i defintally agree with you. i think vampires live longer then humans and the ageing process is much slower then humans but not that they stop ageing at all like in interview with a vampire mabye as a teen they still look like a kid....as a twenty year old they look like a teen.....etc....i don't no about less stress then humans i mean they have to stay away from most of the day and humans can be out and about night and day....plus also the worry of getting caught for feeding off of something or someone or someone trying to hunt you down and kill you...... i would say mabye as much stressfull if not more

It would vary from person to person, like anything else. But, on average, vampires probably have shorter life spans. High risk activities and all. But what's so bad about that? Live fast, die young.

Vampires do NOT live forever. They aren't immortal! They are normal people with a non-physical condition. If they live any longer, it certainly isn't directly caused merely by the fact that they are vampires.
