i just want to know how everyone else sees a true vampiric appearance

i believe they would be just as we are now only slightly paler in complection with slight disfigurations due to the many things they have had to undure for there survival

75% of them I see as a closet with legs, with a bookcase for a hat. To keep with the percentage, 90% of what we do has no need being writen about or spoken about. 5% makes up what makes us different from anyone else. It isn't special, and it isn't dire that we do anything about it.

I see them as friends and equal to myself, but I see a need to test everything about those that claim it.

I think they will look more like humans then one would think, the disfigurations you say they may have, I wouldn't think that they would have any or many, Vampires are a very smart spicies, I would doubt that they would let a weakness as minor as a small scar been seen, as for them being pale I am not too sure. I mean you would think that they would be smart enough to find a way to change their skin tons to help hide within their food unknown to them.

well when vampires are changed they look exactly like when they died maybe a little paler

I think they will look exactly like when they died...only as time goes on will they begin to grow pale.

Vampires look just like everyone else. But they are much paler, and their eyes are the first thing you notice. With the older ones, you will most likely be frightened because you won't know what they are

i think they are just regular people. No more diffrent looking then anyone else thats why most blend in.

In apperences they look as any normal human apssing by, then inside they have differences as to the aging and the decay that is stop, (all decay even alive thats why we age) then maybe a bit paler as it was mention, the sparkle in the eyes might be abscent sicne their is no life in way of speaking

You can usually see a mystique about them and can feel drawn to them in an unexpainable way.

I think a vampire would not really be the stereotypical type in movies and such that everyone has a view of.
I think they are alot like us. They don;t have to be pale or dress a certain way. They can have long or short hair, any color eyes, ect.
I think they are in all "classifications" Just because they act a certain way or dress a certain way doesnt mean they are just one classification.

For me vampires look just like humans but have really unique appearance.

Much more of a pure face with unique eye colors. Vampires are really cool because their of a different species from humans and have lesser weaknesses.

Vampires just don't have one certain look. They can change their look at any point in time. They can go from the 1400s look to the present look today. Just because they have pale skin don't mean anything. I know alot of people with pale skin doesn't mean that their vampires.
But this is just how I see them.

i can't tell by physical features, but i can sense a presence.

Like the gaydar you hear about, i have a slight ability, i call a "freak-o-meter". i can sense the presense of a vampire or a Dominant in the BDSM community.

i get this weird shaky feeing in the center of my body between my belly button and my heart.

My best experience is expressed in my poem - Airport Sonnet. i could really sense this Woman's power across the gate in DFW airport. She gave me a look that was so powerful that She willed me to make room for Her.

Another experience, i had was scary. i met a young woman in the DMV who had the stereotypical goth look - long straight black hair, pale skin, little skull necklace. She had no presence - at all. Either she was really undead or so powerful that she was shielding everthing around her.

I would think that they would look like anyone else. If they live a certain lifestyle, such as staying out of the sun, maybe a pale complexion. Other than that, I would think any differences would be cosmetic.

I think if there are any physical differences from everyone else it is the choice of the vampire. If anything it would be their charisma or aura that could tip some sensitive off. Other than that I believe they are as human looking as anyone else who wants to look human.

i dont think they would look every one else. They would live life to their own desire, and not care what other people think about them. I also think they would be very happy, and nothing like the way people assume them to be

They'd look human. Like they did when they died. I don't think there would really be any physical differences from that of a human. I feel stupid saying this because other people already have but oh well lol. I think the one thing that would really stand out are the eyes. The eyes of a vampire are just entrancing...

There are two intresting theroys worth noting. One being that vampires are charming, alluring, pale skinned, exotic, survival markings (scars), and such. The other, well, they could be anybody. With modern prosthetics, makeup, eye contacts, they could be anyone. Just think of halloween. I have seen some pretty decent costumes of anything and everything imaginable. Mostly monsters and beasts. Who's to say it is impossible to have beast dress up like man. Till next time.........

if we are talking about vampire spirits - as opposed to living vampires, they can take any form. i once saw one that looked like a yellow and purple / pink blob of light, shaped like a giant butterfly - go figure. it looked pretty, but it was areal nasty bastard

I think they look just like everyone else. The cunning ones truly blend and are non distinct or descript, therefore adding to their "invisibility" from those that are not kindred.

I see them to a point as what most of the anne rice books describe them as. Human in body but pale and imortal. I believe they possese both evil and good natures onley it is up to them to decide which to act on.

To be honest I don`t really know. It depends on which vamps you are talking about. Psy-Vamps are human, but the other vamp I dunno.

Vampires are extrodinary mortals, we eat, mate, sh't, and die( and no, we do not rise from graves at night) just like everyone else. REAL vampyres look just like you and me. Some may be pale due to lack of pigmentation, like albinos, and it is faar from every single albino there are vampires.

Most of it can be displayed as a strong personality and maybe an exsotic apperance, it is what the vampire chooses to look like. If a vampyre wants to wear a qute pink tutu, he or she does it..well you get the point.

Its a feeling. totally, you’d never know me from any other soccer mom so long as I dress the part. Even the spirit is susceptible to a metaphorical viral infection. One does not need to put on a mask to obscure themselves, as in doing so, only draws attention.

Its a feeling you get maybe an urge or a odd attraction. It something that comes over you that your drawn too.

Vampires have many different races, and each race has its own distinct characteristics. Categorized, the four main areas in which a vampire might be found are the Born, the Created, the Crossbreeds, and the Bodiless. Relatively simple terms, they allow for a universal translation and understanding and are not be considered the "true" names by which vampires would care to be known.
There are also a few different psychic or telepathic abilities that you will see in certain kinds of vampires. They are telepathy (mind reading), empathy (suggestion, hypnosis, and emotion detection), clairvoyance (sensing objects), psychokinesis or telekinesis (mind over matter), pyrokinesis (mind over fire), and rheiki (aura or lifeforce manipulation). In theory, humans too have potential to use these abilities, but it is thought that these abilities are weak and lie latent for the better part of their lives.
Crossbreeds are capable of developing operant but limited telepathy and clairvoyance and for some odd reason are skilled at rheiki (some almost as powerful as the Bodiless). The Born seem to have strong abilities with all of the mentioned skills although extremely talented with pyro and psychokinesis. The Created though, have more agility with telepathy and empathy than the rest, and the Bodiless have mastered rheiki to the point that they could kill with a thought. as far as appearance goes.......that varies as well...

I'm a vampess, (female Vampire for those not sure) look at my avatar, check my profile and portfolio, I am not pale, I look like Jane Doe off the street. We look like what ever we looked like when we got awoken, turned, whatever you would prefer to call it.

We do not rise from the grave at dusk and prey on a young maiden asleep in her bed then run and hide back in our coffins at dawn, that is myth, legend and Mainly Hollywood.

Forgive me if it seems I'm a little over defensive, but I've had too much slack off of this subject before on other sites and in person not to air my views, but again, I'm only one person, but i do speak for my Clan and Council as well as any other vampire I know of, when i speak of how we look.

In my opinion they would look as they chose to look. As for skin tone....I would bet they would be pretty much as they did when turned. Eyes would be able to change at will and with emotion.

I think they would look like normal humans. only with much softer and smoother skin. They are very smart and quick thinking and there senses are top notch.

Vampires look like everyone else, only evolved in certain ways. They are generally more attractive than the average human and more intelligent, too. If they were ugly and stupid they would have died off years ago and they would be unable to sustain themselves.

i would think that they would seem more human then most humans, a great kindness but also a terible angry inside from injustices of their existance

I think they would look like you and I, but they would have a terrible temper, and would have a very high since of Honor, and would never let their honor be dishonored

That reminds me of a friend of mine who would go trick-or-treating without a costume. When people would ask her what she was supposed to be, she said, "I'm a serial killer. I look just like everyone else."

That aside, as far as fictional characters go...I have a guy I'm gonna write a story about one day who lurks in some greasy shadow in a corner of my mind. The guy's eyes are naturally dark brown, almost black, but they turn violet when...provoked. He is short, only maybe five four, five six at the most. He's got thick, black hair that is almost wavy enough to be called curly that falls just below his chin. (I think he's from some kind of Hispanic descent.) He is very thickly built in his muscles...not quite Vin-Diesel-ish, but almost. Strong jawline.

He is a scary motherfucker and I don't like him.

LadyRaisha, actually, they were referring to the original vampire in folklore. Vampirism, when the idea was young, was not something sleek and sexy. You're right; they were blood-thirsty zombies. Not something you'd wanna go for a moonlit walk with or kiss.

ok lets think on a basis of survival here, youre not going to get close to prey if you stick out like a sore thumb. in fact we should be way beyond that. Sex, intrigue, desire, yet capable of slipping through the dark. come on people use your heads.

i think there look varies.. I mean some can look just as we do.. and only hold the torment inside.. or they can be paler, and also have phyiscal disperfections.. either way though i think we all have disfigurment somewhere down the road.

I think that it depends on the Vampire... Some may have had to endure great battles and have the marks to show for it and others may look just as we do.. some may even be completely different, like maybe a new breed...

I think they would probably be a bit more taller than the average human, a bit pale, with the eyes expressing there soul. The will probably also have a presence to them, how a person would feel while being near to one.

I see them as dark people, yet they try to be more human than than humans. It's a sick, sad world pit there. Some vampires have just accepted what became of them while others try to destroy themselves.

Just like humans. I really don't see them all that different from humans at all.

I never met any who claims to be a vamp, in my minds eye I see dark clothing some what gothic in appearance. A pale skin tone and the eyes are different from any human. I would like to think that vamp's eyes look like eternity is in them. Other then that they appear like any other human of all shapes and sizes.

untill i meet a real vamp or if someone proves to me that they are different from what I think, I will continue to believe in what I would like vamps to be like.

i dont think they are any different from anyone else, and i think they have the ability to blend in, use "vampiric powers" if you will to cloud the mind so humans cant notice the small stuff like the pale skin, or freaky eyes as some of you put it, or even a scar. but actually i think they look exactly as they always have in life and the undeath whatever you wish to call it..i say that because some are born vampires and there is the question whether the vampire is died or not...

Just as the mortal from which they come. However I believe a pure breed vampire would have a more feral appearance. An aura of power surrounding them and spreading out to consume those around them.
