i think they do exist to, and to be able to read someones mind must have some good advantages .
if you was telepathic do you have to concentrate on who,s mind you were reading or can you read more than one at the same time.

so the ones that you see that you pay to find things out...i feel are not real at all....

i dont think its as much fun as it sounds.

expecially if it something terrible you know about....but then sometimes i think it would be great to know things that were really good....

it is a type of gift that you are given that has its good points and bad points...

I think of it as this.
you are walking down a street and people are passing you and you can only block a few people at a time. and you are jumping in peoples heads and you dont know whos it is. and then you get one hell of a headach.

I would definetly have to say yes because I had an experience with one, it was rather weird but really cool. And he was actually from VR. so that answers some of your question I presume.

I think we are all slightly telepathic to a certain extent- I think its due to our mental states and general perspectives and relationship with our environments. However, if by truly you mean "film style" then I haven't met one.

Once you get rid of the tricksters, the good ones usually come out.
I doubt there are anywhere NEAR as many as CLAIM to be.

Im not sure, sometimes I'd like to think so, I know what my sister is thinking, course that could be because we are twins.

It's possible on different levels. I think that psychis are just telepathic and can read your THOUGHTS instead of your future.

i like this question, but feel its a bit ill defined.

by telepath i assume the original meaning was mental telepathy, the ability to hear/see read the thoughts of another and in some cases to communicate back and forthe by the same means. but in the same discussion i have seen mention of sprit communication and of foresight (predicting the future) and scrying (seeing something or someone in another place, commonly with the assistance of a bowl of water a piece of dark glass or other such impliment)

i have had expierience with all the above mentions abilities. a close friend of mine is a true telepath (he can read thought and communicate with those with the same ability or simply the ability to hear. i also have a close friend who can communicate with those in the spirit realm, and i myself have some limited ability to see the future.

i believe that everyone has the abilities laying dormant. there is so much of our brain we dont use and have no idea what those places are for. as to what unlocks them for some and not for others and which abilities, who know?

me n my friend kate (who also has a gift) well last year when we were in class i used to get her attention by saying her name in my head she used to look up we would laugh all good fun. sotimes we put things in eachothers heads. but its just what me n her could do.
so my point is that somtimes with the people we are closest to we do not need to speak because me n her share a bond so we never really need to speak unless we were shouting at eachother.

i think its possiable but like somone else said the ones with this gift are not gonna come right out and tell ya because with all the fakes in the world you might not believe them anyway

I believe there are. Our minds are powerful weapons, why wouldn't it be possible to tap into other parts of our mind that some just do not know how to use?

I am telepathic. I did a study with the Medical school, which will remain nameless, in my city. I have the paperwork/records to prove it. Now is it possible that I was perhaps not tested in the right way? Of course there is this chance. I was given a percentage on my ability, and a classification. If a wellknown and respected med school is willing to do a study like this, and stick their name on it, then there must be some truth behind it.

I don't think it is telepathy.. I think it is perhaps a deep Empathy and bonding.

I can read how people feel and I feel their pain. I think that is Empathy, which is on another thread.

Those that can, most often don't realize what they are doing until it happens way too often. By that time they are on two sides of the spectrum , the first driven insane and unable to control it. Or those that have learned to control it, who are often withdrawn because they can block other thoughts, but it takes concentration. Avoiding large groups of people when possible because its very straining when encomposed by people all the time. Then of course there are that 1 percent...the sadistic who use what they have for personal gain and to torment others.

What we are, what we can be, what we do all depend on our own moral fiber.

I really dont like my boyfriend's sister. She is a cheerleader and a snob and much more than meets the eye! The strange thing is... Ive spoken to her telepathically. It then came to a point where she would try and pry into my thoughts making me paranoid. I then began to think of random things. And so she let me be for a while. It was really creepy and not appreciated!

All of the women in my family have the gift to one extent or another from telepathic and empathic to precognitive and even telekinetic so yes I do believe they are real and yes there are a few here on vr as well

I do believe they exist and have met one from time to time, as for any being on VR not sure have met a few people and though whoa how did you know that about me. But was it telepathy or more they were psychic... I am never sure on what the difference is.

I belive they are real cause me and my brother can read each others thoughts and not even say a word scary too but true hes got powers I wish I had like moving a glass of water and just useing his eyes too move it lol. but he trained alot to do it I belive plus he can drain energy from females voices too and make them feel at ease too..

I think people that live together a long time can learn to communicate telepathically

From my studies this is how i see it...
you brain emits brain waves, small and allmost unusable, but for your body thats all you need
these waves can be controlled but with limits.
Like a muscle thats been unused for many years, it is week and unable to do anything usefull, but with training methods we can change that.
I have been studying the occult magick and the psyonic arts for allmost 10 years now
and of all the information ive recorded ive only minor results to report.
As for as this branch of the psychic arts,
ive found that telepathy is linked to advanced empathy, something "everybody" has.
In any case I will let everybody here know that the only big results ive found happon all subconsciously.
I rarely go here so if anybody wishes to ask me anything regarding this post or wants to comment at all just pm me here.

I honestly think that everyone is telepathic and some just choose not to or don't recognize they're abilities to do so and whenever we get a message telepathically, we just push it off as a hunch or a feeling. SOmething like that.

I am not but I have met two poeple who were, a couple, when the husband lets say left to go somewhere and the wife needed something no matter what she would just say it outloud like she was talking ot him and he would bring it at home later, saying he had heard her asking for it. And this couple were friends with my teacher in high school and she is the one who let me meet them, and verify myself, they prooved me they were true telepathic persons.

I have read studies done by the british military into telepathy and i believe that there are telepaths out there but i havent met any.

My oppinion may seem a little absurd, but I believe that we all are telepathic, just some of us do not know how to tap into our hidden talents.

I think everyone has this capability but most would not want or desire to tap into this skill. But, body language plays alot into what people deem to be telepathy.

I believe there are people who have finely honed their ability as a telepath and may be able to do this as a constant thing. I myself am sometimes able to read into peoples heads. I can usually see images, places people have been and saw. One time I had just met this woman and this was my first experience really, she was discussing this sort of thing and asked if I could read her...I felt when she was talking to me an image, I thought about this image and started discribing it to her in very vivid detail. It was the last house she lived in (I'd never been there myself, nor talked to her before this day), including the car parked outside and the front lobby walking in through the front door. She was a bit freaked out, as was I.
Since then when talking to people I am sometimes able to pick up on very stronge images and words that the other person is projecting. I consider this telepathy. It's not a 24/7 things, and I am glad for that as I've seen alot of things since then that I'd rather not see.

in a way no-one will know who is or not. the people that just say "yes i am" are 99% bound to be fake. and 89% of telepathic people wont admit over the net because then people will want prof and so on. so in a way who knows what.

I think they exist and in my opinion, everyone is telepathic to an extent. Depending on how connected you are with people around you or even one person.

True telepaths, in the sense that you mean, ie able to read the thoughts of anyone they wish, even if limited by distance, are exceptionally rare, and most never make it through puberty with there sanity intact. For every persons mind is exceptionally different, in experience and "wiring". That is why so many of us are empathic, or can "read" the intentions of others. Each of our brains have its own language, but the is a similarity among us all that allows for some things to get through. So even those of us who are sensitive, in truth, 99% are not telepathic at all, merely empathic, or at our best, deductively empathic.

My daughter from about the age of 2 has been able to know what I was thinking and respond as though I had said it outloud. She's 13 and still does this, just seems to know things.
She also mentioned to me that she was seeing a little girl out in the woods while she was riding her 4 wheeler that she thought was a ghost because she never saw her walking or running, she would just appear in different places along but off of the trail. I asked if she was sure it wasn't that she was going so fast the trees were looking like things, she said she would watch again and see. She came back and said it was definitely a little girl. Dressed in a plain old white nightgown type outfit.
I told her not to be afraid and just tell her (by thinking it in her mind when she saw her again) to go to the light and she would be ok ( I didn't know what else to tell her).
She did this and hasn't seen the little girl again.

i do believe there has to be. I have had many of such instances, but not w/ just anyone, only w/ a few that i am extremely close to spiritually and emotionally. (i do not think i am a true telepath) But considering that even scientist say that we as humans do not use even close to half our brains, my imagination goes wild wondering what the other parts functions could be... but alas, i am a dreamer too... :)

I'm not sure what I think on real telepaths, but I think some people are either so perceptive or so tuned into their surroundings and the people around them that although they don't hear in their head the person's voice speaking to themselves, they can catch the emotion and in a sense, gather from that emotion what a person is thinking. I've seem some people with the erring ability to tune into someone's thoughts before, but I've noticed that these tend to be the same people with keen perceptivness and very aware of details.

mine happens pretty strangely. i have to look at some one right in the eyes then i can tell them all about themselves and what exactly they are thinking..in which is why i dont have many friends around my homestead..scares the crap outta them lol

I hate to rain on someones parade but Houdini was someone who exposed psychics/telepaths/etc as frauds. He never claimed to be one. there is a big difference. There are photos of him doing just that if you know where to look. He made an entire act out of exposing the supposed telepathics methods and caught a lot of heat for it. Thats the difference between a magician and a con artist. A magician will admit, on some level, that it is a show. While others claim its 100% real. Uri Geller claims he is psychic and has been exposed again and again, but he sticks to his guns. Con man if you ask me.

Personally, i think that people who really believe they are telepathic are just more susceptible to psycological subtitles like micro expressions, tone of voice, posture, and so on. Then they just take the "cues" in naturally without having to interpret them.

This might seem obvious but it works on the same principle. Have you ever walked into a room and known that one person in particular was in a bad mood? Well, you arent psychic... you read them and we can all learn to do it.
